I really don't know how to even start. Me and my 9 year old son who is fully handicapped, in electric wheelchair, with diagnosis of muscular dystrophy(only can move his arms a little and his neck) booked flight from Dublin to Paris BAU, on 25th of September 2023. I saw advertising of airport shuffle Aerobus that says they accept people on board with reduced mobility, and you have to sent email with details of flight 48 hours prior, which I did, no answer whatsoever but I presumed they have ramp if it is advertised as that. Our flight was delayed and unfortunately we came as last flight of day to Paris, when we landed I rushed to get to shuffle with my boy. When we came there 2 buses were parked but non had a ramp, taxis were leaving airport because that was it for day,not one wheelchair accesible.so it was nearly midnight and we were desperate in front of terminal with no way to come to centre of Paris, there was one nice lady who actually tried to sort situation and rang multiple numbers to try and help us, but it took nearly hour and a half for them to get us taxi.
On way back I sent emails again for our flight 28/9/2023. So they can confirm ramp will be there for us. (On bus station in centre of Paris for shuffle bus). They did sent email on morning on trip that ramp will be provided, so that sounded promising. We came there on time and they put my son on ramp to get him to bus seat, however ramp broke during that procedure and my son in wheelchair was kept 15 mins on ramp between floor and bus seat, they managed to take him down somehow, one really nice man booked taxi again. Photos with broken ramp in attachment. We came to airport finnaly with taxi. And than real nightmare began. We went through security, my son passed scan driving his wheelchair, and they did swabs and all looked normal, but than 2 security guards asked me to lift him in my arms, so he is 45 kg of weight and they did not offer chair or hoist or anything and they started taking part by part of his wheelchair (cushions, leg rest) true scanner again, all while I was holding my DISABLED son in my arms and cried. (Hope all is on CCtV because I will file report to disability committee)
They finnaly brought his cushion back but placed it on wrong side so I had to lift him again in my arms ,place him on track where bags are travelling ,fix cushion and sit him back again. A lot of people starred in disbelief but not even one came to ask can they help. Never in my life me or my son felt this degraded, ashemed or discriminated. Poor poor and sad treatment and extremely arrogant stuff without common sense or any kind of empathy. Disgrace
Desired outcome: Just for this to never happen to any disabled child again and inspection and disability right law person to give formal statement regarding treatment on security gate
