Legally there is nothing you can do. If they want a deposit up front and you refuse to provide it then they have the right to refuse care.
This place has serious service issues. I cited everything in their mission statement that they failed on my last visit. They have yet to respond to my email which has been sent on 3 different occasions over the past few months. They are spineless just like their customer service and hazardous handling of pets. There ARE other 24 hour vets in San Antonio, please look up one of those instead.
I have taken my three dogs and two foster dogs to Becker. They have been nothing but courteous and professional. With everything, they have outlined all available options and pricing to make sure I was comfortable with it.
Even one time, when I was having mild anxiety over one of my puppies' issues, I had left my wallet at home. The office was kind enough to allow me to pay on a follow up visit.
Furthermore, a "complaint" so full of grammatical and structural errors should be taken with a grain of salt. Poor grammar is not an effective way to have a complaint taken seriously.
I had to take my 2 yr old dog there at 5:30am due to extreme vomiting. The vet barely even looked at him. The assistant did small exam ( temp, ears, teeth and rubbed his belly). The vet asked me few questions about his symptoms and then said which tests they would run. Then he left me with assistant to get quote for bill. Since I couldn't afford the $700 bill, they decided to diagnosis him without more examinations. Two days later, my dog still isn't any better, even with medications they gave me. I feel that just because I don't have a fat wallet, my dog is suffering.
