I was excited to try this auction site. However, after spending $75 (it cost 75 cents for each bid!) and a whole day (from 10 a.m. to 6pm), I didn't even win one bid! Please DO NOT waste your time and money. This is an auction site for people who have the extra dough to throw away. If by chance you do win a bid, you most likely would have spent so much money buying the rights to bid at 75 cents per bid, you would be better off just buying the product yourself!

Bidcactus is a scam, there are only a few auctions running, and most everyone is bidding at the same time, chances are you are NOT going to win, meanwhile you are out the amount of money for bidding! Totally agree, BIDCACTUS is a SCAM

HI, I'M BACK. BIDCACTUS IS TRULY THE BEST OF ALL AUCTION SITES. I AM ON MY SECOND MONTH AS A MEMBER AND HAVE WON 29 PRODUCTS THAT DO NOT INCLUDE BIDPACKS. ALL MY ITEMS HAVE ARRIVED BETWEEN 5 AND 10 DAYS AFTER WINNING THEM. THIS MONTH I HAVE WON 3 NIKON COOL PIX DIGITAL CAMERAS, DS LITE, 2 SONY BLU RAY PLAYERS, HP LAP TOP $300.00 WORTH OF DISNEY CARDS JUST TO NAME A FEW. I TRIED VARIOUS OTHER PENNY AUCTION SITES AND FOR SOME REASON DID NOT WIN A THING. I FIND THAT BIDCACTUS IS THE BEST AND I WILL STICK WITH IT. THEY GIVE FREE BIDS WHEN YOU POST YOUR WINNING ON VIDEO ON YOU TUBE. I DID JUST THAT. YOU CAN SEE ME SHOWING OFF MY WINS ON YOU TUBE UNDER BIDCACTUS DEALS. JUST TYPE MY USER NAME "GOSTRONG26" IM THE GUY WITH THE HAT SINGING A BIDCACTUS SONG I MADE JUST FOR THE VIDEO. IT WON ME 25 BIDS. IF YOU WANT TO WIN ON BID CACTUS YOU HAVE TO TAKE YOUR TIME. OBSERVE AND OBSERVE. STAY AWAY FROM POWER PLAYERS, TAKE NOTES USUALLY AFTER 30 WINS IN A MONTH YOU CANOT PLAY. PLAY WHEN POWER PLAYERS HAVE REACHED THEIR LIMIT. DONT GET INTO BIDDING WARS. YOU HAVE TO BE PATIENT. IF THEIR IS A STRONG PLAYER, LET HIM GET HIS 3 WINS WHICH IS THE LIMIT PER DAY AND WAIT FOR YOUR CHANCE. IT TAKES A STRATEGY TO WIN. YOUR ODDS ARE BETTER WHEN YOU HAVE A STRATEGY. DONT BID ON MORE THAN ONE ITEM AT A TIME FOR IT SHOWS WEAKNESS AND POWER PLAYERS WILL REMEMBER YOU AND TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU. I HOPE THIS IS HELPFUL TO YOU.

biddin4ever is a copy cat to bidding4ever. he leaves out the letter g . its apparent that he knows bidding4ever has never lost and registered with a similar name.
bidding4everr got his first win around march 12 2010 he is new to the game as i call it. i became a member in march also and i am a very careful observer of this site. there are no bots on bidcactus. i got my first win befor bidding4ever and in two months i have won thirty times. i am nethier of the players mentioned above and in my opinion only three of them are power players. as i mentioned before the name on the top of the list is a copy cat. in fact when he plays, the real guy attacks him . i dont consider myself a power player, but i am a strong player who focuses on one item at a time and wont give in easy. i stay away from power players. and i stack myself with lots of bids. if you dont plan on having at least 8 or 900 bids in your account when you start bidding, then do not bid on items that retail over $300.00 stick to the smaller ticket items. you too can win. but if you dont observe carefully as the person above who has not notice that biddin4ever is a copycat then it will be a bit more dificult to win.

A few people dominate the board, they always seem to win the big 500 or 250 bid packs also, then bid, so you have no chance at all unless you pump tons of money into bid packs.

this is site is AWEFUL! the only one that wins is the company itself.. I joined and I won my first bidding war.. after that you get addicted to it, thinking you can win more, but you don't.. every bid cost .75 that's alot of money.. then just when you think the auction is over, it adds more time to the clock allowing more and more people to bid against you...
I didn't play anymore!

I agree that these sites are a total scam! I lost $45 in a matter of minutes on for10cents.com. It was my fault for being so stupid to fall for their tricks! They of course explain everything so that you feel comfortable "gambling" your money. At the last bid, they keep adding seconds and it's never ending! TOTAL SCAM! PLEASE DONT BID!

I agree about Cactus being a scam. I spend over $75 for a radar detector which they listed at $300. Figure that the bid cost was up to $11.00 and each bid cost .75 cents. Thats was $825.00 and the bid was still going. I quit after that and took my losses. Will not bid again.

I purchased 100 bids for $75.00 today. It was gone in less then an hour. Won nothing. Was only bidding on two $100.00 bid packages. I feel it is a scam with fake bidders. I will not be back nor will I recomend this site.
I only wish I saw the complaint page first.

So i signed up as others on here and bought a bid pack for $37.50 and started on my bidding. So after about 45 minutes i had lost the bids on this pennyauction site. I am not sure if I was doing it wrong but I liked it. So I bought another bid cactus bundle and this time a 100 bids. Well an hour later I lost this money, except I won a 30 dollar item. So I decided to learn and watch and the more I learned and watched I wondered if this was real, Was this site doing bots or shillbiders, Which I learned about on www.pennyauctionwatch.com ... So I decided to research Penny auctions and read on penny auction watch and saw lots of companies that are so called doing this.

So I decided to bid on the small items and went and bought more bids and began bidding on bid packs, which i was successful, but hit my limit. So I Waited a day and started again and won nothing but another bid pack. Now I have spent hours hours over the past 3 weeks reading up on this stuff and again when I found more information on www.pennyauctionwatch.com about other sites It got me wondering. I see Bidcactus on there being advertised so they must be good right? You would think so if they are on penny auction watch.

Why I am losing so much on bidcactus why is it that I can only win bidpacks and yet on Penny Auction watch it says that they can be trusted or at least they advertise for them. Then I find this site and see hundreds of complaints and yet penny auction watch bad mouths so many other sites. Are they the same owners? What are they doing advertising for this site Why is there nothing on penny auction watch about bidcactus.com or about the complaints and they have so many complaints, Maybe bidcactus has bots or whatever they have going, but like others on this site, I cant win anything and I am in this over 400 bucks!

I don't recommend bidcactus and lost my trust and I don't trust penny auction watch either, I think they are the same, and after reading all the complaints and that they are Ernst and young rated, Hell I don't even know what that is, but penny auction watch and Bidcactus sure think it means something cause hundreds or thousands of people like me cant win S--T on this site, but yet they sure do promote them.

I gonna try some others and see what I get and go to penny auction watch and click on there ads for other companies and see what those sites have to offer. I hope its not the same, but i will look on complaints boards first before buying or trusting penny auction watch.

PS I WANT MY $400.00 back BIDCACTUS

A total scam! We just spent $114.77 trying to win a single $25 gift card! We just watched a $100 walmart gift card go for $22.20. Sounds great right? EXCEPT for the fact that there were 2, 220 suckers who did not win who spent a whopping $1, 665 trying to win the $100 gift card! Get it? Each bid costs $.75 each to you the bidder. But then, everyone else is spending $.75 a bid. So, since there were 2, 220 bids, $1, 665 was spent by losers trying to win a $100 gift card! It's so unbelievably deceptive, shameful, and a total scam. What's worse is the BBB lends it's name to the crooks to entice us all to be suckers. Yes, that's us. Stupid. That's what the customer service rep said when they refused to issue us a refund. He claimed we were too stupid to understand penny auctions. We understand them perfectly. However, Bidcactus has SO MANY BIDDERS, and SO FEW ITEMS to bid on, it's next to impossible to win and will cost you hundreds of dollars just trying to win anything. Such a scam and so shameful.

This is definitely a gambling site. You buy your pennies for 75 cents each, and then you gamble them away. The site does pay a return, just as the slots do, of about 50 cents on the dollar in prizes (at least in my case). So it's not much different than spending a few hours in a casino, where you win some and lose some.
I think the reason you see the same names all day long, and then come back again and see a whole new list of bidders, is because people using the site wise up pretty fast. They don't come back after a session or two of playing. I spent $375 for 500 bids ($5.00) and won 4 items valued at about $250. Would I have bought these items outright? Of course not, anymore than I'd buy the junk they give out at carnival booths. But it was an interesting few hours where I learned how the business operates and had a little fun at the same time. BTW, shipping on my items (mostly gift cards) totaled over $25, payable in advance. Also noticed I seemed to have a better chance of winning if I made an early bid and then waited until the final countdowns to continue. The best way to win at these "auctions" is to start one of your own!

Bidcactus is as fake as a tree dollar bill. You can set and watch the same old bidders spend 100s of bids day after day and win nothing. You cant tell me that soneone has so much money that they would start a action out with the first bid, then run it up to $20.00 or more, Thats 2000 bids at $.75 and he bid at least half then walk away and let someone elce have it that only bids a few times. Then the funny part is that bidder that already wasted all that money will move to somthing elce and run it up, and do it all day hardly ever winning anything because the back off win the price gats high enough. And most of the winners of the high dollar prizes or the ones that do this day after day.YOU can look at their names win the action first starts and see they are bid bots.In disabled and have lots of time to watch this crap, its my entertainment lol.I have won some small actions dont get me wrong but they are far and inbetween. If the use bots to run the itims up fine let a paying coustmer win it win it reaches the amount they need. YOU cant even bid on the sure fire actions any more for the bots are after them to. Its so silly you see a name like( 1000s of bids to spend) bidding on a bid pack worth 20 bids and bid more than 20 times .And all the bots have to bid aginst each other because noone will waste there bids to bid aginst them. I have seen 100 bid packs go for under 10 cents because we no the bidder isnt going to quit .Well i have said all i can say but if you plan on joing this site watch for a few days and see whats going before you by bids.It looks inviting when you see a laptop or somthng nice go for $20.00 but just remembe thats 2000 bids at $.75 thats $1500.00 that someone spent to get it that high.

I have recently joined in on the penny auctions sites. I have won a 32 inch TV, a iPod Nano, a portable GPS, several $50.00, $25.00 gift cards, wireless router, 2 blenders and I have received ALL of these items with no problems. Yes you have to put out money to buy bids, yes you have to be the last bidder but it IS possible to win these auctions at a minimum amount. I won one auction with one bid and my last $50.00 gift card was won with three bids.

I think sites like bidcactus and others should not chage you for any bids... instead charge you a flat fee of the item costs, but since these are bids of a penny it's real hard for them to make a profit unless they charge it to the shipping cost, anyway i think i will start a penny live auction site and just keep it real, meaning i will not charge any type of fee to start.

thank you,
richard

This so-called "penny" auction sites are perpetrating internet fraud in the highest degree by people who have no heart, soul or conscience that willfully and deliberately lie and cheat to take your money.

Anyone can run one of these auction sites by downloading a clone script, though you would have be a crook like the rest with no integrity/character. The programming allows for entities that are NOT human that pump up the bids, and then the auction is either won, for the most part, by one of their entities so that they actually never give it out at the high price and just capture the money or for a low bid again going back into their kitty. They can't make any money if they continually give items away for less than the actual cost! Oh, and it really isn't pennies because each bid equals $0.75 so that when the auction price is $10.00, for example, that equals $750.00. You can't tell me that there are as many fools as myself that got taken for nearly $18, 000.00 and does not realize that they are actually spending 2-6x the retail cost. They also lie about getting items at up to 90% off.

There is currently a 5 Million class-action suit against Quibids.com and soon there will be one against Bidcactus.com because I have retained lawyers to do such.

Oh, and don't rely on the BBB, as they are definitely NOT like they use to be as they accredit most of these frauds as well as give them A and even A+ ratings; what a joke.

We will hopefully move to get federal legislation, a bill/law, to ban all these so-called "penny" auction sites.

If anyone has had negative experiences, lost money, never received items, or even was a former employee and/or has actual knowledge/information that can assist in the legalities and/or wants to partake in such, please E-mail ijusthuman@gmail.com at your earliest convenience!

If you jump into an auction after a bidder has invested lots of bids, they will win it, no matter the cost to get some of there money back and earn respect. So my advice is to be the first bidder and don't jump in at the last second and think you are going to win. Just isn't going to happen, and if it does, well consider your self lucky.

I have just been told by my sister that she saw my name on this site where it refers to me as a BOT.. I never read this crap but find it unbelievable that people can make their own choice in buying bids and then whine when they don't win. I have been a devoted Bidcactus bidder for a year now and while I have had my share of challenging auctions, overall I have done extremely well. I am not aware of any bots...sure there are some names who act like bots but I personally do not believe they are. I am one of the bidders mentioned a couple of times here that refer to ME as a bot. OMG..really? I am a very strong bidder...I claim an auction at first bid and defend it strongly. If I am second bidder or third, etc, I give the auction to first bid placed. It is respectful to do this. I have earned a reputation by most, I believe, to be respectful but really tough. I have issues with being sniped...this means coming into an auction when it's well under way. You do not win auctions easily by doing this. And if you are sniping a seasoned bidder..well then, look out, cause I and many others will get you back. Only bid on one auction at a time. I have seen many bidders waste endless amounts of money by thinking they can win placing bids on several auctions at once...come on now! You must know that there are strong bidders here who will defend in order to win. Bottom line is that I personally have bid on many auctions sites and Bidcactus is THE BEST. They have good customer service, I get my gift cards every week and they are trustworthy. There "are" other sites with less scrupulous tendencies and I definitely stay away from them. My advice is to watch the site, write down the names of the strong bidders, claim an auction, and never snipe. You will be more successful by following these suggestions.
Specifically to Ijusthuman...Are you for real? I've seen you bid many times. Watch and learn! It is your own fault that you got yourself into this $18, 000 mess by jumping people..Are you related to BOSS1?

There is an online company called cactus bid and you purchase a bid package and then you bid on gift cards such as home depot, k-mart, walmart etc, and I purchased a package of 100 bids for $75.00 and I was bidding on a $50.00 Home Depot Gift Card and I did not realize that a every bid that I made was .75 and there was someone called bidstomper that would bid higher each time that I bidded. Not knowing that I was bidding .75 each time that I outbidded bidstomper, I ran out really fast and each time that a new bid was placed, the count down started over again.
It is not really very clear and understandable and on each card at the top left it shows 1 cent and I thought that I was bidding pennies instead of .75 each bid and it did not take me long to run out of bids.
There is not anyway to keep track of how many bids that you have made anyway. THIS IS AN ALL OUT SCAM AND PLEASE DON'T GET CAUGHT UP IN THIS LIKE I DID.

I agree its a total scam. Went through $60 in a few hours like it was nothing. The same person or two kept winning over and over. I would bid last fraction of a second every darn time and still loose. Its impossible for that to happen time and time again. Stay away from this site unless you want to loose money. Anyone on here claiming Bidcactus is the best thing since sliced bread is being paid by the company to do it. Very shady as I tried to contact them and they never responded. So I have filed with the Better Buisness Bureau and Paypal. I advise you all do the same. They have alot of heat on them from me now. All Im asking for is my money back. This... or I should say all these online auction sites can never be trusted. Even in the real auction there's tricks to get by. Not to mention online in a pre-programmed website. Ive observe the site system, its TOO EASY to get cheated. All they do is plant preprogram bots to "fake" autobid against the real person's bid, then timed them, if those real bids starts showing slowing down on bids or not bidding at all, u'll see the "Autobid" sign didnt even go off after the last second passed, and it'll be finish & the "Bots" which acts as real customer will get rewarded by that item, which I suspect its the same item all along with same image pictures. Then the record of those bots name would be place in "auction history" so when other real customer come by their site it will act as this site really rewards people in the pass & stuff.

This trick is old & way too easy to lure u in & cheat. Ive seen the "auction history" has multiple PS3, PC of the same model with exact same picture being auction in different times with different bot names lol...

Anyways I've place that site's URL into FBI's watch list to have them investigate, let me see how much legitimate they are.

Highly unlikely you will get any refund. They will say it's your fault because you played and didn't understand the rules.

These online penny auctions host their websites out of the USA to get around federal gambling laws. It's not regulated.. such as the Lottery or Casinos are. If it's not regulated, it's not to be trusted.

They cheat you and make a killing from people like you that bought into it. Some will even go as far as to advertise on social networking sites such as "FACEBOOK" and write stories of winning items for $4 and so on to get people to join the site.

I call it their, "Fake Social Enviroment" where they ask and answer their own questions attempting to be perceived as an honest and fair auction.
