service at galleria branch from manager on duty.
Manager, named Linda, was very rude. She kept talking over me when I was querying something and when I told her to let me finish she told me no I'm being rude and she will have her say. I told her to shut up and she refused telling me I was rude and didn't deserve to be be heard. After which I walked out, into @Home, where I received outstanding service. Which I find sad considering I chose a boardmans account over an @Home account. Very disappointed in the way MANAGEMENT handled the situation.
returning of merchandise
I bought a duvet cover set on 27 November 2016 from Boardmans in The Grove shopping centre. The duvet set is in a mint colour and decorated with white mesh with silver sequence patterns stitched on top. We used the duvet once and after appropriately washing it, the decorated part is becoming undone. I didn't expect such an expensive duvet set to become undone, so I threw away the packaging. I visited the branch in the Kolonnade shopping centre and tried to explain that I didn't have the packaging but because Boardmans also used the "Thank U card" from Edgars and I have the exact date of purchase, would the lady be able to help me with an exchange of the duvet set of a refund? She refused to listen to any explanation, just kept on saying their policy is that the product must be in the packaging. I can understand a policy, but she could still try to find a solution. For example, if she could replace the duvet set, she could use the packaging of the new set to send back the damaged set. Or if the set could not be replaced, she could phone the head office and explain my predicament and find out whether it's in order for the damaged duvet to go back to the supplier or your head office in a normal bag. It is ridiculous to refuse me help because of a plastic package. I would like to know whether the duvet cover set can be replaced although I don't have the original packaging, or a refund if it cannot be replaced.
items not delivered no communication!!
I ordered items online on Boardmans website on the 4th December. My money was taken and I received a confirmation email that my items will be delivered in 2- 5 working. Till this day I have not received my items nor do they bother to communicate the cause of the delay. I have been constantly calling their customer helpline and not receiving any joy. No one knows when I will get my order! You are deceiving your customers and failing to deliver. Your service is pathetic, unprofessional and useless. I don't advise anyone to buy from Boardmans!

I placed my order on the 02.12.2016 I have phoned at least 10 times and no one is able to tell me whats going on with my order. i get no emails when i asked for feedback. i think your service is pathetic as i am only buying stuff from boardmans for charity purposes and you cant even get this one think right. i was hoping that your service would be better under new management but i was very wrong. and her i am 20 mins on the phone and my phone call gets dropped gee thanks edcon

I would like to express my absolute disappointment in edcon/boardmans service.
On 27 november I placed an order online. I noted that on 30 november the order was “out for delivery”.
Since then I have made numerous calls, sent emails, and communicated on facebook. still no receipt of goods. finally on wednesday 14 december I was told the courier would deliver my order on thursday 15 december. on follow up at 4pm on thursday I was told the courier would definitely still deliver by the end of the day. they did not. I have explained to various edcon personnel that the order is a gift for a party on saturday 17 december and was assured the parcel would be delivered to me in time. as today is a public holiday I can assume the courier will not be working.
I am appalled at edcon’s lack of service and at such a company using a courier which appears to be so unreliable. I ordered these items in good time for delivery before the party. 19 days and still no delivery is unbelievable.
I would suggest that, as your courier cannot perform their task, you arrange for an uber driver to collect the package and deliver it to me urgently. this would be the right thing to do. I have acted in good faith in ordering and paying for goods and I expect edcon to deliver.

After payment had been made, I received a notice, order being processed. You will receive the order within 2-5 working days.
8 December and not received any Boardmans order.
I sent them an email and got a reference number. I called the online call-centre 4 times, the 1st time the lady said Boardmans will send me an email or call me. 24hours later still haven't receive any email/ telephone call.
I called the call centre 4 times today, spoke to Martha. While I was holding on, she cut me off.
This is unacceptable, why must you pay to confirm order, then stock is out of order. Tomorrow it will be 2 weeks sins order has been placed.
I sent 4 e-mails, 4 telephone calls, no response.

online order from boardmans not refunded
I placed an online order on 17 July 2016 but but was advised afterwards that the item is out of stock. I asked them to cancel the order because I didn't want to wait. I received my account statement on 16 August and I saw that the refund was not processed. I sent an email on 16 August requesting the refund. I received an auto reply on the 16th and was advised on the 21st that the matter has been escalated. On the 11th of September I was again advised that the matter has been escalated. Then I received my September statement and sent another mail on 20 September querying the matter. On the 21st the matter was escalated again...Then I received my October statement...not refunded yet... I sent ANOTHER email on the 17th requesting to log a complaint and that I want the reference number for the complaint. I only received an automated reply, but to date no response what so ever regarding what is going on with my refund

online ordering
I placed an order online with Boardman's 7th Oct 2016, I received a ORDER CONFIRMATION back stating thank you for the order we will deliver 2-5 working day. Very excited for my box to arrive.
Only to get an e-mail (not phone call) just an email about line 1 and 5 not being in stock, I replied to the mail just to get NO respond after 2 days I send another mail, also no respond. I then decided to try call the lady just no answer and if the phone call gets answered it gets dropped before I can talk. I then tried calling the call centre and let me tell you even worst. I send several mails to several email addresses. STILL UP TO TODAY NO answer from no one. I then got email address from top Management in emailed the lady also nothing but then I received order on dispatched and I was quite shocked and happy at the same time.
I received my box today with my order not complete! How does this happen and how come this company is still open. The customer service is non exciting ! THERE IS NO SERVICE! No one has contacted me, no one mailed me, and they took my money!

false advertising/short delivery
Hi there i purchased 2 X boardmans vela tea/coffee mugs (pack of 6 advertised) online and received my delivery on Monday 7th March 2016 but only received 4 mugs, 2 packs with 2 in each.
I have made several calls since the 7th and emailed again on the 15th and still haven't received any feedback regarding this as I am still waiting on my balance of my order. I have made several calls to the call centre and nobody gets back to me. I called Steve last week he is still getting back to me. I spoke to Sipho on the 10th and he said a manager will call me back on that day, still nobody called me. I spoke to Ntsiki Trollit on the
14th who said she will get back to me on the day as she will call the
online store and 2 days later still haven't heard from her and spoke
to Carol on the same day who said that Ntsiki left already and that
she will get her to call me by 10am yesterday(15th) and still haven't heard
from anybody...
I am furious and disappointed as I am a long standing customer of
Edgars and feel that they just don't care!
The end of the day they advertise that a set consists of 6 mugs at R59.95 a set and I purchased 2 sets to get 12 mugs but only received 4 mugs.
I want answers and the balance of my mugs!
terrible, terrible service
I have placed an order with Boardmans online at the end of June this year. My items arrived later than was told and 7 items were missing. The items missing's total was over R700.00. I immediately sent an email to the online email that they give and got a response a few days later saying that they will credit back the amount onto my account. After that I have sent numerous ( over 25 emails), phoned (over 30 times if not more) and this is still NOT SOLVED! I have complained, begged done everything possible, even went into a store but could not be helped. They credited back the (wrong) amount of R233.91 back to my account, which means they still owe me R483.84 as I am still paying interest on that too. As metioned before, I have phoned them more than 20 or 30 times but this is STILL NOT RESOLVED! I have yet again phoned last week and was again told (for the millionth time) that they will get back to me. But still they have not! I have wrote down names, taken numbers done everything on my side possible. I honestly honestly do not know what to do anymore! I have had it with them and will never ever in my life have an account with this pathetic company again!
Boardmans is not prepared for online shopping. The process is sloppy and leaves consumers out of pocket and without the purchased items. The website only updates every 24hours meaning they sell out of stock items, surely they can upgrade to a better programme which does not promote false advertising. The tracking system once the order has been placed is quite poor and the call centre agents, Facebook team and the Edcon customer experience team merely follow a script which says they will get back to you but they never do. Its an awful system that easily takes the money of the consumer without delivering the purchased items or is unable to refund the customer in reasonable amount of time. Surely they are violating the trust and rights of the consumers.

i bought 6 items via boardmans online shopping 24/06/2015 and they only deliver 4 items the other 2 items were out of stock. i sent them email 06/07/2015 requesting a refund since then no refund was done. i called their call centre numerous times and was told matter has been escalated to online team for refund process. i got the response from them 18/07/2015 with ref [protected]/GO explain same thing, we've been communicating back and and forth without any luck all the do they apologize. I received a call from Kapelo 07/08/2015 from a private number at 11h15 regarding my refund (ref : [protected]/GO ) and he promised me the payment will be processed 11/08/2015 but till today there is no money that was paid into my account there is not even a payment pending. i really do not know what i need . I am sorely disappointed with boardmans
I have lodged a complaint at Boardmans Canal Walk for a Krupps kettle that is basically disintegrating after only 18 months. I am struggling to get the manager of Boardmans in Canal Walk to help me, he just doesnt return calls, doesnt answer his phone. When I tried to solve this via the Edcon head office in Jhb, I get no response either. I have sent the same email 4 times to Moneng Nyoni. At first I got a reply saying my query was being dealt with: Then when nothing happened after 9 days, I emailed again. Moneng Nyoni then asked me for contact details, which were actually included in each email. I sent them again. After another 8 days I STILL hadnt heard anything, and sent another email with my reference number etc.
I STILL havent heard anything. No-one has contacted me in any form, nor does Moneng Nyoni even answer my emails now and all this has happened even before I get to the problem of an apparently quality kettle that is disintegrating infront of my eyes. As soon as it was apparent that it was out of guarantee, Boardmans is not interested. In my opinion, its a faulty product. No-one want to deal with it and I am sorely disappointed with Boardmans.
We were given a gift of crystal glassware (the Hotel Collection) stocked at Boardmans. We wanted to build up the set into 12 glasses of each type and have visited various stores. We find that the glassware has been marked up from its original price of between R49 - R99 per glass to R149 to R179 per glass. In an insult to their customers intelligence Boardmans have the cheek to just place a new sticker over the old one. This is a rip off of note. Edcon are making huge profits on old stock and don't even have the decency to hide their greed by removing old labels. When I questioned a sales person they just shrugged their shoulders with a take it or leave it attitude. We know what the glasses orginally cost as a few glasses in the boxes had labels on them when we received the gift. I may only be 1 customer but I will tell everyone I know about this dishonest practise and will encourage them to refrain from shopping at Edcon owned stores. I was DISGUSTED - this type of practise should be illegal...
At 09h00 today, Boardmans Greenstone Mall refused to open their doors for me, customer as they were having a staff meeting. I was in a hurry. At 09h05 I asked their security guard through the doors, why they were not opening. She said they were in a meeting. At 09h10 I knocked on the door and asked her to call the manager. She reluctantly opened up and when I arrived at the till point I WAS IGNORED BY ALL THE STAFF even the manager at the till although I apologised for interrupting their meeting. When I took out my purse to pay no-one still bothered to say good morning - they were clearly irritated that I had insisted upon entry AFTER OPENING TIME and DISPLAYED THEIR DISLIKE FOR THE CUSTOMER. Its shocking that SA has recently plunged into a distinct culture of daily bad attitude and bad service. There will probably be bad financial results too as three customers who witnessed this also said they would not go back. Boardmans you really need to get to grips with the fact that customers keep you in business. Edcon take shocking treatment of customers to task at all of your group stores. IT IS UNACCEPTABLE to treat customers like this. I would like an apology.
