Breck's Bulbs Not a happy camper

I ordered 12 distinct types of beared or Siberian Irises. Only 8 out those bloomed and of those 6 were not what I ordered? Either totally different products compared to what was ordered or color not as shown on the beautiful website? very disappointed and honestly can't understand how this company can still operate looking at other customers comments that experience the same problems. Unfortunately did not see those comments before ordering. Don't do the same?

Breck's Bulbs Expect unpleasant surprises

I made the mistake of ordering over $200 worth of tulip and amaryllis bulbs from Breck's. Out of 100 tulip bulbs, about 20 were small and shriveled and five had to be discarded because of obvious disease. Many of the very expensive Amaryllis were under the promised 24-26 cm. Size and when they bloomed, I discovered that three were not the even variety I ordered. When I tried to return the under-sized bulbs I was told that Breck's does not refund money, even if they failed to meet their own specifications.

Breck's Bulbs Sent substitute even tho website clearly says it's stock

I ordered some unusual and premium priced iris for delivery this fall. 1. They sent it in August. In the south, that is way too early. - it's like 100 degrees here, and not a good time to plant. All over zone 7 - they should have known better. Then, even tho I ordered and paid for these months ago, and the website clearly says they are in stock when checking today, I was sent a substitute. Not cool. I would have given them 1 star except that they did refund my money. I will NOT be ordering from Breck's again.

Breck's Bulbs Communications mostly non-existing

Placed a couple orders and confirmation is quick but trying to trace delivery is really non-existing. This site as most mail order nursery business's, are pretty vague as no stock is carried at the site location. My first was shipped from Holland by sea. It was order early, so 3 to 4 weeks shipping was ok, but bulbs in poor condition. Long growth already started. Tried a 2nd order but cancelled it as no response via e-mail on actual delivery date. If your willing to gamble, you can get a good selection not usually available locally, go for it.

Breck's Bulbs Incomplete Amaryllis Kits

We ordered 20 Amaryllis Kits that were incomplete. They were missing the "disks) that were stipulated as important to establish the planting of the bulbs. There was no notice as to why this seemingly essential part of the order was not included. No help from customer service.

Breck's Bulbs Breck's Review: A Loyal Customer's Disappointing Experience

So, I gotta ask, what's up with Breck's? I've been a loyal customer for years, but my last experience has left me scratching my head. I ordered some creeping geraniums last winter, but they never showed up. I filled out the card in their catalog and was supposed to be billed when they arrived, but that never happened. Then, out of the blue, I got a notice saying I needed to give them all my financial info to get approved. That seemed sketchy to me, so I called customer service to voice my concerns. Long story short, I never got my order, wasn't charged for anything, and haven't seen a catalog since. It's a bummer because I've always loved their plants - my garden is full of their gorgeous peonies and lilies. But now I'm left wondering if they're even still in business. Has anyone else had a similar experience? I hope they've revamped their dealings with the public because I'd hate to see such a great company go under.

Breck's Bulbs Breck's Review: From Bomb Diggity to Overseas Disappointment

Breck's used to be the bomb diggity. I mean, I ordered a ton of stuff from them and they always shipped it out on time. And let me tell you, those plants were usually pretty darn good. But, let me tell you, things have changed.

I recently had an order that was late, so I called up customer service to see what was going on. And guess what? They're overseas now! Can you believe it? Strike one for me. I had to call them several times and each time I got a different answer. Finally, they sent me a shipping notice. It was a week late, but hey, better late than never, right? Well, when I got the order, there were several plants missing. Strike two! When I called customer service, they told me they were out of stock and offered me credit for the purchase amount. Strike three! But let me tell you, don't settle for credit. I insisted on a refund and after a lot of back and forth, they finally gave it to me. They even said it was a "one time exception." Can you believe it?

Anyway, after all the late shipping, questionable quality of the plants I did receive, and not getting everything I ordered, I've decided that I'm done with Breck's. It's a real shame because they used to be so good. But, you know what they say, all good things must come to an end.

Breck's Bulbs Breck's (brecks.com) Review: Inconsistent Prices and Unhelpful Customer Service - A Total Scam

So, I got this email from Breck's (brecks.com) offering me a sweet deal of 50 bucks off on a purchase of 100 dollars. I was excited and decided to check out their website. As I was browsing, I noticed that the Customer also Viewed window screen was showing some great sale prices. But when I tried to add those items to my cart, the prices changed to much, much higher. I was disappointed and frustrated.

I decided to give it another shot and spent my entire weekend shopping on their website. But to my dismay, the prices kept changing. The first time I checked on Friday and Saturday morning, the sale prices were there. But by Saturday afternoon through Monday, the last day of the deal, the prices were not the same. They had gone up when I clicked on the sale price. Even the items I had already added to my cart had gone up in price, but still showed a much lower sale price on the website.

It felt like they knew I was putting an order together, and they had me. So, they inflated the prices, hoping I would go through with the order. I was so frustrated that I decided to call their customer service in India. But unfortunately, the representative was not helpful at all. She said she had no authority to correct the prices.

I then decided to contact them through their electronic contact page and wrote a message twice, but I have not heard back from them yet. I spent hours putting an order together, and it was all a waste of time. I feel like I was scammed, and I would advise everyone to shop elsewhere.

In conclusion, I would not recommend Breck's (brecks.com) to anyone. Their prices are not consistent, and their customer service is not helpful at all. It's a total scam, and you should shop elsewhere.

Breck's Bulbs Disappointing Service: My Experience with Breck's

Breck's is a company that I recently ordered from, and I must say that I was not impressed with their service. I placed an order for hellebores using a paper order form that was sent to me in a Breck's catalog. The order was received by Breck's on January 14th, 2021, and I was given an estimated ship date of May 14th, 2021. However, I did not receive my order until September 22nd, 2021, which was a delay of over four months.

To make matters worse, I received an email on May 20th, 2021, informing me that the shipping date had been delayed until October 21st, 2021. This was frustrating, as I had been looking forward to receiving my order for months. Additionally, I was disappointed to find that Breck's was unable to send me a bill through email, despite it being the year 2022.

When I received email correspondence regarding my order status, it never indicated any outstanding balance on my account. However, Breck's claims that they sent a bill through mail, which I never received. I had moved away from the address in question by the time they sent it, and they never made any attempt to send any statement electronically. Instead of ever trying to call or email me, they passed the account balance on to a debt collector.

Overall, I was extremely disappointed with my experience with Breck's. Their service was slow and misleading, and I will not be spending another cent with them. It's a shame, as I was excited to receive my order, but the delays and lack of communication left a bad taste in my mouth. I would not recommend Breck's to anyone looking for reliable and efficient service.

Breck's Bulbs Breck's Bulbs Review: Proceed with Caution for Quality and Customer Service

I gotta say, I was pretty excited to order some Christmas-tree Cyclamen from Breck's in the fall of 2022. I mean, who doesn't love a good holiday plant, am I right? But when my two packages of bulbs arrived, I was pretty disappointed. One package had three plump bulbs, which was great, but the other package had bulbs that were so shriveled up they looked like dried mushrooms. Not exactly what I was hoping for.

So, I did what any reasonable person would do and emailed the company with pictures of the two packages of bulbs. And you know what they did? They gave me a replacement certificate for $29.74. Now, I don't know about you, but I was expecting them to replace the bulbs, not give me a certificate that doesn't even cover the cost of the same three bulbs. What's up with that?

Now, I've ordered fall and winter-blooming bulbs from Breck's before, and while some of them looked a little depleted, I planted them anyway. But this last shipment was just too poor quality for me to ignore. I mean, I've been a serious gardener for a decade now, and I know the difference between the quality of bulbs and the quality of my gardening. And Breck's has been a disappointment too many times for me to keep giving them my business.

Honestly, I can't believe that someone could even put two such different packages into the same shipment. It's like they weren't even trying. So, if you're thinking about ordering from Breck's, I'd say proceed with caution. You might get lucky and get some great bulbs, but you also might end up with a bunch of dried up mushrooms.

Breck's Bulbs Breck's Review: Terrible Quality, Customer Service, and Shipping - Don't Waste Your Money

This company, Breck's, is not worth your time or money. Don't be fooled by their fancy pictures and marketing tactics. I made the mistake of ordering over twenty bulbs from them in May, and didn't receive anything until November. And when I finally did get my order, I was extremely disappointed. The bulbs looked dried up and dead. I tried calling their customer service multiple times in August, September, and October, but it was a nightmare. The reps were outsourced and just reading from a script. They didn't listen to my concerns or questions. At one point, I was told that I owed them $187.00 for just three bulbs! Can you believe that? I had to wait on hold for almost thirty minutes just to speak to a supervisor, but my call was disconnected. I had to call back and go through the same frustrating experience with a different rep. Breck's charged me $18.95 for shipping those three dead bulbs. It's not worth it. Their prices may seem lower, but the quality and overall experience is terrible. Save yourself the headache and order from a reputable company based in the USA.

Breck's Bulbs Breck's Review: Unprofessional and Unreliable - Don't Waste Your Time or Money

I gotta say, I was pretty excited when I started getting these catalogs from Breck's. The flowers looked so beautiful and I just had to order some Irises. I spent about $40 on them, but when they arrived, they were all dried up and not looking too good. I did the scratch test on the rhizomes and they were not viable at all. I called up Breck's and they told me to plant them anyway. I mean, seriously? What's the point of that?

Anyway, I got my first bill and there was a $10 late fee on it. I was like, "What the heck? This is the first bill I've gotten!" I called up Breck's and they put me on hold for a really long time. Finally, they said they would remove the late fee. I didn't want any more trouble, so I asked if I could just pay over the phone. They said sure and I gave them my card info and got a confirmation number.

But then, the next month, I got another bill with ANOTHER late fee on it. And nothing had been applied to the balance at all! I called back and they said they hadn't taken any payment from me. I was getting pretty fed up with all this unprofessionalism, so I just asked if I could pay the whole balance and be done with it. They took my payment, but I'm never doing business with Breck's again.

I've dealt with plenty of other companies that are way more reputable and don't give me these kinds of problems. So don't waste your time or your money on Breck's.

Breck's Bulbs Breck's Review: Shipping Takes Forever, Plants Don't Grow, No Refunds

I've bought from Breck's twice now, and I gotta say, the shipping is a real drag. Even though they time it for your zone, it takes forever to get your stuff. The first time I ordered, I got bulbs and peonies. Only a few of the bulbs (I got about a hundred) actually grew and bloomed. But the peonies are doing pretty good in their second year.

This year, I ordered a mix of shade and sun perennials. But two of them didn't show any signs of life after six weeks. I tried to get a refund from Breck's so I could just buy some plants locally and get them in the ground, but they don't do refunds. Instead, they gave me a voucher for their merchandise. So I spent $33 on their stuff, added in the voucher, and then they charged me $10 for shipping. I called them up to complain, but the guy on the phone just didn't get it. I had to call back a few times before I finally got someone who understood and gave me a free shipping code. I put in my order, but then when I went back to review it, they took out my voucher and charged the whole thing to my credit card. I had to call them again to cancel the order, but their customer service rep was pretty helpful and took care of it.

All in all, I don't think it's worth it to order from Breck's. Between the plants that don't grow and the headaches to fix their mistakes, it's just not worth the trouble.

Breck's Bulbs Disappointing Service from Breck's Bulbs: Late Shipment and Misleading Practices

I recently ordered some tulip bulbs from Breck's Bulbs and I have to say, I'm not too impressed with their service. I ordered 33 bulbs of 4 different varieties on September 1st, with an expected shipping date of September 14th. However, when I contacted customer support on October 1st, I was told that the bulbs wouldn't be shipped until October 22nd. I was pretty frustrated by this, especially since I live in Alberta, Canada, where the weather can get pretty cold pretty quickly.

Sure enough, on October 16th, the temperature dropped below freezing and stayed there until October 25th, with lows of -15.7 degrees Celsius. By the time the weather warmed up again, it was already the end of October and early November. I dug some holes in my garden after it froze, but it looks pretty terrible now. I'm just hoping that the bulbs will still grow.

Unfortunately, as of November 3rd, the bulbs still haven't been shipped. They're coming from Holland, so they'll need to clear customs in Canada before they can be mailed to me by Canada Post. I'm pretty frustrated by this, especially since Breck's Bulbs claims to time their shipments so that bulbs arrive at the proper planting time for each area of Canada. I'm not sure what happened with my order, but it's definitely not arriving at the proper time.

Overall, I'm pretty disappointed with Breck's Bulbs. Their business practices seem pretty misleading, and I've been bombarded with sales emails from them since I placed my order. I don't think I'll be ordering from them again in the future. I'll update this review once I receive the bulbs and see how they turn out, but for now, I'm not feeling too optimistic.

Breck's Bulbs Breck's: My Go-To for Beautiful Blooms!

I've been a loyal customer of Breck's for the past 3 years and I must say, everything I've ordered from them has grown beautifully. They offer some great deals too! I remember towards the end of the growing season in June 2019, they had variety packs of Dahlia tubers on sale. Each package had 7 tubers for only $7! I couldn't resist and ended up buying 2. Breck's shipped them to me immediately and I planted them right away. Now, I'm Dahlia crazy and have purchased several more from them.

Apart from Dahlias, I've also ordered Bunches of Daffodils, mountain berry hyacinth, crocus, hastas, tulips, and a few other things that I can't remember the names of at the moment. Breck's ships the items according to their shipping schedule and sometimes, they don't ship for months. For instance, last spring in April 2020, I ordered daffodils to plant in the fall. They arrived in September 2020, per their schedule. Breck's sent me a notification when they shipped and I put them into the refrigerator (I live in Los Angeles) until December. I planted them and voila! They were blooming in February.

I did have one purchase that did not sprout, but I think it was my fault because I took a chance on the sun exposure and moisture requirements. I thought it was such a cool looking plant and I should've waited until I had the irrigation installed. That's on me.

As a real guy who grew up in Wisconsin and hated winter his whole life, I moved to sunny southern California with dreams of playing in the garden with all different types of plants that I would never have an opportunity to enjoy in Wisconsin. Did I mention planting in December and blooming in February? I love it! Breck's has been a part of that.

I've been redoing my yard bit by bit over the last 2-1/2 years and people stop me while I'm working, telling me they go out of their way just to walk by or drive by the garden. They holler out their car windows as they drive by! The response has been overwhelming really. If only I could figure out how to keep that powdery mildew off the Dahlias!

Breck's has been good for me and I'm not sure what all these other people are talking about. Maybe they just don't know what they're doing or have unrealistic expectations. Who knows... I put a few pics of the Daffs I ordered from Brecks mentioned earlier, photo taken in Feb. 2021. Gotta go, there's a weed to pluck, a branch to trim, a hole to dig, and surely something to water!

Breck's Bulbs Too Many Emails: A Review of Breck's Bulbs

Breck's Bulbs is a company that sells bulbs for planting. They send a lot of emails, which can be annoying if you don't like getting a lot of emails. The bulbs are okay, but not amazing. It's easier to order from a company that doesn't send so many emails. Brecks doesn't seem to understand that too many emails can be a bad thing. We tried unsubscribing, but they keep adding us back to their list. We don't even bother reading their emails anymore. We just delete them or mark them as spam. We closed our account and now order from a company that only sends us relevant emails.

Breck's Bulbs Disappointing Quality and Refund Policy at Breck's: A Gardener's Review

I've been ordering from Breck's for a long time now, and I consider myself a pretty experienced gardener. But this year, I had a major problem with all of the tulips I ordered - they all contracted a bad virus. It was really disappointing, especially since I've had such good luck with Breck's in the past.

But I'm not giving up just yet. I just planted some Dahlia's that I ordered, and I'm hoping they'll grow well. The tubers looked pretty terrible when they arrived, with just a small bother plant attached. I've grown dahlias from Breck's before, but something seems to have changed. I'm not sure if it's just a fluke or if their quality has really plummeted.

Either way, I definitely wouldn't recommend this store to anyone right now. The prices are sky-high and the quality is way down. And to make matters worse, the "refund" I got for the tulips was just store credit. I'm going to keep asking for a real refund for these poor products, and I'm hoping that eventually I'll get something that's actually worth my time and money.

Overall, I'm pretty disappointed with my recent experiences with Breck's. I used to love this store, but now I'm not so sure. I'll give them one more chance with these Dahlia's, but if they don't turn out well, I'll be looking for a new place to buy my gardening supplies.

Breck's Bulbs Breck's Review: Poor Delivery, Bad Customer Service, and Sketchy Refund Process

I gotta be honest, I wouldn't recommend Breck's to anyone. I had ordered a Hanukkah gift for my mom way back in October, with a delivery date of 12/7/20. But guess what? It's now 12/17/20 and my mom still hasn't received it. I checked the FedEx tracking and it says that the gift was actually RETURNED to Brecks. What the heck, man?! I checked my bank account and they took the $64.71, but there's no gift to be found.

So I called up their customer service and let me tell you, it was not a pleasant experience. The person I spoke to sounded like a robot and offered to credit my next order with Brecks. Are you kidding me? When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was put on hold for what felt like an eternity, only to be told that no supervisor was available. I was so mad that I sent an email detailing my outrage.

But I didn't give up. I called again and this time, I got Cassandra. She was actually helpful and got me my refund. But honestly, the whole situation was just sketchy and I'm not impressed with how Brecks handled it. They really need to step up their game when it comes to satisfying customers and dealing with issues like this.

Breck's Bulbs Unreliable and Disappointing: My Experience with Breck's

I gotta say, I'm not too happy with Breck's. This is my second time ordering from them, and it's gonna be my last. My first order was way back in April, and I was supposed to get part of it in October. But then, just a week before the delivery date, they sent me an email saying that half of my order was out of stock and discontinued. And this was six months after I placed the order!

Then, in June, I decided to give them another chance and placed another order. This one was supposed to come in early to mid-October. But guess what? I waited and waited, and it didn't come until November. I finally got fed up and called customer service. But of course, I had to wait on hold for a long time. When I finally got through, they told me that the delivery was gonna be pushed back to mid-November. I asked for a specific date, but they just told me it would be early December.

Now, I have to wait even longer to get my money back. They've had it since June, but it's gonna take them 30 days to process the refund. I mean, come on!

I really don't recommend ordering from Breck's. They're just not reliable, and it's not worth the hassle.

Breck's Bulbs Disappointing Experience with Breck's: Dead Plants and Poor Customer Service

I placed an order for some iris plants on May 15, 2021, and I was eagerly waiting for them to arrive. However, I was disappointed when they finally arrived on August 30, 2021. The plants were small, dried-up, and dead. I was devastated to see that my order had been mishandled and the plants were beyond saving.

I immediately contacted Breck's customer service to report the issue. A man from India answered the phone, and he informed me that he did not have the authority to resend the shipment or issue a refund. I was frustrated with the response, and I decided to fill out the contact form on the Breck's website. Unfortunately, I never received a reply from them.

I was left with no other option but to dispute the charge on my Visa credit card. However, I received a letter from Visa stating that it had been longer than 60 days since the purchase, and they could not issue a refund. They advised me to contact Breck's directly.

Feeling disappointed and frustrated, I decided to order iris plants from Schreiner's Iris Garden. To my delight, I received large, green, and beautiful iris plants that were properly packed for shipment. I was thrilled with the quality of the plants and the excellent customer service I received from Schreiner's Iris Garden.

In conclusion, I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Breck's. The poor quality of the plants, lack of customer service, and unresponsiveness to my concerns have left me with a negative impression of the company. I will not be purchasing any items from Breck's in the future.

Breck's Bulbs Breck's: Pretty Pictures, Terrible Products - A Disappointing Experience

The pictures on Breck's website and brochures are so pretty, but the actual quality of the products is just terrible! I was so let down by my recent purchase of Iris bulbs from them. Every single one of the irises they sent me was yellow and looked like it was already dead. One of them was even completely rotten on the inside! When I gently pressed on it, it turned to mush and smelled absolutely awful.

I called Breck's customer service to ask for a refund, but all they could offer me was in-store credit. I asked the representative what kind of guarantee they had in place to ensure that I wouldn't receive the same poor quality products if I decided to reorder, and she told me that they would just give me in-store credit again if I had any issues. It felt like I was stuck in a never-ending cycle of disappointment and frustration.

I left my contact information with the representative so that the manager could call me back and hear my feedback and suggestions for future improvements. I really hope they take my comments to heart and work on improving their quality control.

Honestly, I don't think I'll be ordering anything from Breck's again. I even tried soaking the bulbs in water for a couple of hours to see if that would help, but it didn't make any difference. It's such a shame because their website and brochures make everything look so beautiful, but the reality is just so disappointing.

Breck's Bulbs Deceptive Deal: Breck's Shipping Surcharge and Poor Customer Service

So, I got this email from Breck's (brecks.com) with a sweet deal: 10% off and free shipping for orders over $50. I was pretty excited to take advantage of it, so I placed an order for $150. But then, to my surprise, they added a shipping surcharge to cover the shipping! What the heck, man?

I tried to get some answers through their online chat, but that didn't get me anywhere. So, I ended up calling them and talking to three different people. They told me that there are no representatives in the US, so I had to talk to them. They also said that the surcharge is charged by the greenhouse or manufacturer of the items, so they have no control over it. They apologized and said that I had to pay it.

So, in the end, I got free shipping but had to pay the shipping surcharge. Is that really a good deal? I don't think so. It seems pretty deceptive to me. And to make matters worse, they wouldn't even talk to me until I gave them all my shipping and phone number information. That's just annoying.

Overall, I'm not too happy with my experience with Breck's. The deal wasn't as good as it seemed, and their customer service wasn't very helpful. I don't think I'll be ordering from them again.

Breck's Bulbs Disappointing Experience with Breck's: Late Delivery, Moldy Bulbs, and Limited Guarantee

I gotta say, I was pretty disappointed with my experience with Breck's. I mean, I get it, shipping can be a bit wonky sometimes, but come on! I ordered my bulbs with the standard 2-4 week delivery time and some of them didn't even arrive until December! And let me tell you, planting bulbs in the bitter cold and dark days of December is not my idea of a good time.

To make matters worse, a lot of the bulbs that did arrive were moldy and/or rotten. And some of them didn't even show up at all! I spent all that time planting them for nothing. And the guarantee they offer? It's just a replacement certificate. So now I'm stuck ordering from them again this year and hoping for the best. But if they don't look good or arrive late again, you better believe I'm demanding a refund.

Honestly, save yourself the time and trouble and don't even bother with Breck's. I've had much better experiences with Longwood Gardens. The few bulbs that didn't come up, they replaced without any hassle. And just to give you an idea of how bad my experience was with Breck's, I received an $84.99 credit after last year's disaster.

So yeah, take my advice and steer clear of Breck's. Stick with a company that actually cares about their customers and the quality of their products.

Breck's Bulbs Avoid Breck's: Multiple Accounts, False Charges, and Rude Calls

Breck's, oh boy, where do I even start? Let me tell you, this company has caused me nothing but headaches and frustration. They keep making multiple accounts for me, and for what? I have no idea. And when I try to get it fixed, they just say they can't do anything about it. Like, seriously? How hard can it be to fix a simple account issue?

But that's not even the worst part. They tried to charge me $300 for things I never even ordered. Can you believe that? And when I called them out on it, they just kept sending me bills for more and more accounts. And to top it off, they keep calling me early in the morning, even though I've told them my husband works late and we sleep in. They won't even tell me why they're calling, just to call them. How rude!

I've talked to them so many times, and every time they say they've fixed the problem, but nope, it's still there. They won't close all the accounts they made for me, and I'm tired of paying for things I never even received. I even took down my previous review because they promised me it was all fixed, but guess what? It's not. So, I'm leaving this review up for good.

Honestly, I've never dealt with such an incompetent company for plants before. It's just ridiculous. So, if you're thinking about ordering from Breck's, I would definitely avoid them. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else.

Breck's Bulbs Poor Quality and Customer Service: My Experience with Breck's Bulbs

I recently made a purchase from Breck's website, spending around $150 on Dahlia bulbs during the winter of 2021. Unfortunately, the bulbs arrived very late in the planting season and were of very poor quality. Despite our best efforts to plant them, only three of the bulbs grew and bloomed, which was very underwhelming. I reached out to Brecks to express my disappointment and they offered me a credit for the next planting season.

This year, I decided to give Brecks another chance and placed another order. However, by the end of May, I still had not received my order and decided to request a refund. To my surprise, the bulbs arrived just a day or two after my request. Unfortunately, the quality was once again terrible. I even ordered an Agapanthus bulb, which was missing from the bag of dust they sent me. I contacted Brecks to express my frustration and requested a refund. They suggested that I plant the bulbs and if they did not grow, they would issue a credit.

It is now July and only one bulb has grown, which is very disappointing. I know that it is not my gardening skills, as the Dahlia bulbs that I purchased from Home Depot are flourishing in my garden and look beautiful. I strongly advise against buying from Brecks, as their quality and customer service are both lacking.

In conclusion, I would not recommend Brecks to anyone looking to purchase bulbs for their garden. The quality of their products is poor and their customer service is lacking. It is better to look elsewhere for your gardening needs.

Breck's Bulbs Breck's Lack of Customer Service and Billing Issues

I had sent in an order by mail, buy now pay later sort of thing back in February 2022. I received my orders separately and no billing statement. On May 27, 2022 I receive a statement for my second shipment with the past due amount of my first shipment. I called Breck's customer service and they gave me credit phone number. Breck's claims a statement was sent and that is why I am late on my payment. After 40min on the phone, and many times placed on hold, sometimes not telling me the agent said that if I send a payment now then my $10 late fee will be waved but I still have to pay for the finance charge. I was treated as if I did not know what a late payment meant. Disappointed with Breck's. I used to buy from them directly from website and pay at checkout, first time using their pay later option by mail. Learned my lesson.

Buyer beware of Breck's credit since they are not professional enough to be running a credit option.

The agent said he made a note on my account that the issue was resolved by removing the late fee. Let's see what my next statement says. Breck's you have lost a customer! To make matters worse, the plants did not even come out after planting!

Breck's Bulbs Breck's Bulbs

Breck's will take forever to ship, and in the year 2022 are unable to send a bill through email. Placed an order for hellebores based through a paper order form sent to me in a Breck's catalog. The order was received by Breck's on 1/14/21 with estimated ship date of 5/14/21. Received email on 5/20/21 informing me that shipping date was delayed until 10/21/21. Order finally shipped on 9/22/21. Received email correspondence regarding order status but it never indicated any outstanding balance on the account. Breck's claims they sent bill through mail, which I never received as I'd moved away from the address in question by the time they sent it, and they never many any attempt to send any statement electronically. Instead of ever trying to call or email, they passed the account balance on to a debt collector. Will not be spending another cent with Breck's. They're at best misleading - and at worst it's a total scam that will show up long after promised, with all sorts of nasty surprised attached.

Desired outcome: Rescind debt collection

Breck's Bulbs Cancelled order but didn't tell me!

This fall I ordered some bulbs and planted them; will have to see if they come up next Spring. So since then I've received at least one email every day and decided to order an amaryllis for my daughter. I ordered it on Dec 2 and tried to get a ship date but everyone I talked to was very evasive about even giving me and approximate ship date. Even though their order form asks when you want it shipped they couldn't tell me a thing and then basically blamed Fed-Ex for their shipping turn around times of 7-10 days. When they weren't blaming Fed-Ex they decided to blame COVID - (the non deadly flu that's like a cold but the whole world needs to shut down for it). I decided to look once more for a ship date today and got into a chat with someone at Brecks. She tells me that the order was cancelled since they were out of stock! No email telling me this, no offer to make it up to me somehow, no comments on how this could affect me and how I now have to scurry around and find another gift for my daughter. Funny how they can send you an email every day to "hurry up and order your amaryllis" but not fulfill my existing order and then act like I'm the bad guy for ordering it. I had to call the place to see if they have in the meantime charged me. Not sure if they have. And there is no way to unsubscribe to their emails unless you ask them to and all I got was yeah we'll take you off the list. Not impressed in the least with this garbage.

Breck's Bulbs Shipping/order

Breck's was not up front about the fact that plants/bulbs they advertised were not coming in "on time" for them to ship out. I have called multiple times and now you get people who are clearly not employees. They can never cancel an order - they have to "put a note in to the warehouse". Partial shipment notification came in - but it's not even the right stuff. This is crazy. NEVER will I order from them again. There are too many good nursery providers out there.

"they delayed the shipment and then delayed again and again. Finally said one item is out of stock, but no refund. Today the plants arrived and, surprise, they are dead. Out of the 10 I ordered there is a slim chance 3 or 4 may survive, but they are so dried out it is doubtful.
They have the nerve to blame all of this on the virus crisis. How does a virus impact sending out dead plants?
Stay away from them. There is zero chance it will end well for you."

Breck's Bulbs unauthorized distribution of personal information

Hi,

I received some unsolicited mail from a very reputable charity. When I asked them where they received my name and home address from they said Breck's Bulbs sent them their customer list. I have indeed been a customer of Breck's in the past. I called Breck's to express my unhappiness with their apparent policy and to request my name and information be removed from their system. The person I spoke to, Dan from Ohio of no last name, said the charity, or I, must be lying since it's against company policy to do so. He dismissively said that he would look into it but refused to provide me with an agent number, contact info or a complaint number.

Without a complaint number I have no way of knowing if an official complaint has been filed (I doubt it) and I have no way of following up with the issue.

I would like Breck's to remove my personal information from their system. If it is indeed against their policy to send out the personal contact information of their clients I would like them to investigate why they failed to secure that information and if other information, such as credit card information, has been leaked. Lastly, if their information has been compromised, I would like them to contact all the clients who have had their personal information accessed and inform them of that fact so they can take reasonable steps to protect themselves from real concerns such as identify theft.

this is not a complaint I JUST HAVE A QUESTION last spring i got a bag of cannas bulbs they were for zone 3 to 7 love them but how do i save them for winter can i cut them back if so how much and mulch them please let me know we all ready have lite freeze

Breck's Bulbs Sent me wrong flowers

I have bought 5 daylilies from Breck’s for a total sum of $72. I waited 3 months till the box with flowers was delivered. The ones they sent me absolutely didn’t fit to my garden! They sent me wrong flowers! Can’t believe I ordered from these idiots.

Just received my order of daffodil bulbs. They have a heavy smell of mildew. Am wary of planting them thinking that they might not even grow. Have been a customer for years and have always relied on high quality when dealing with your organization. Must say that I am very disappointed
