The customer services didn't help, when the software stopped to respond
We have downloaded their software for our business from www.brilliantdirectories.com. It was very friendly website and we checked that they provided the help and I needed to contact them only. Ok, after the installation was finished and we tried to enter some details, the software stopped to work. It didn’t respond and we contacted the customer services. The rep told us that we wrongly installed it and promised to find the way how to solve the issue. It still hasn’t been done.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
The worst customer services and the rep hasn't responded to my questions
I wanted to know about the software of www.brilliantdirectories.com. I have emailed to the customer services and wrote all my questions. I got very rude response, and basically the rep tried to offend me, but he hasn’t responded to my questions. I was glad that I contacted them before and haven’t wasted money. I was shocked with their services and support, so of course I haven’t bought from them afterwards.

These complaints are totally false. You can tell by the way they're written that it was probably a competitor. My experience with BD has been nothing but excellent. I absolutely love the software and the team behind it.
When the Government of Canada, Department of Canadian Heritage, and the Office of French Language Services of the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care financed our interpretation application for the ministry of health, we needed to find a platform that allowed us to easily and quickly build, customize, and manage our website and mobile app landing page.
We first tried using WordPress but customizing third-party themes and getting multiple plugins to work correctly with one another proved to be far too difficult and time consuming. We even rented multiple web developers to get WordPress to work for us but they were too costly and couldn't build us the website we needed.
Brilliant Directories' stock Bootstrap theme is beautiful and functional and has more features than we even need (but are happy to have!). Our in-house team was able to quickly make custom design changes while maintaining the functionality of the website. We were even able to make our customized app landing page on the BD platform (http://www.accueilfrancophone.com/med-interpret)! Customer service was also top notch. We opted for their Professional Onboarding Plan which was definitely worth the money - saved us loads of time and helped get us up to speed on the platform. Now our team can manage the website without a problem.
I couldn't have asked for a more perfect solution. The entire team here at l'Accueil francophone is thrilled with Brilliant Directories and our investors are happy that we were able to get the website and app landing page launched quickly.
Thats not the experience I had. I’m a web developer helping a client start up an online business and they wanted to launch a web directory but don’t know any coding. I actually told her to try out brilliant directories because they’ve worked well with me in the past. She tried the 14 day demo and thought she’d be fine to manage her own site. They set the site up for us real quick and the couple folks we talked to on the phone were laid back and friendly. This was actually the main reason why i told her to give brilliant directories a shot. They’ve always been pretty good at helping my clients out when they need it.
With this specific client, BD’s support center helped a ton. The forum was a good place for her to find answers that other people had already asked. And the direct email support was fine. It could’ve been a little quicker but she always got a response within a day. Even the explainer videos they have on youtube were useful.
All in all they really gave this client a lot of confidence to start her site. She was nervous because she didn’t think she could manage a site but the BD system really does make it surprisingly easy. Super quick to set up, easy to manage, above average support, they give you deals if you set up multiple sites… I can’t really complain. IMO they’ve got the best out of the box directory site builder. Sucks you didn’t have a good experience but for me they’ve been good to work with
Wow. I got a totally different experience than you did. Sounds like you got a bad rep or something. Everyone I hve dealt with at this company has been nice and helpful. Hopefully they see your complaint and maybe they can do something about it - like a free site or something :) - If i had to rate these guys, I'd give them an 8 outa 10 for support and a 12 out of 10 for the software - it's flipping awesome.
