My husband is a busy contractor. I called and arranged for us to be the first appointment of the morning so that we didn't have to deal with a block of time. When they emailed me about the appointment - it was showing up as a time block again. I confirmed that we would have the appointment for 9 (see email below) They never showed up as promised. Bulwark violated federal law
Bulwark violated federal law. After having a good experience with them, Bulwark used predatory sales tactics to convince me to sign a monthly contract, and when I refused proceeded to harass me almost daily for months, calling to "resolve my account". Every time I answered I was told I needed to speak to a supervisor and put on hold and then eventually disconnected. After awhile of this I told them to stop calling me and to put me on their do not call back list. Their representative insisted that they could not do this (which is wrong and illegal), a position they held until I asked for their full name. Bulwark disregarded the do not call back order and continue to harass me. To clarify, I do not owe them money, or anything of that nature. Bulwark is a nightmare of an organization and I highly, highly recommend staying far away. I will be reporting them to the Washington state attorney general.

built my new-construction home in 2022. It contracted Bulwark Exterminating to do two complimentary pest-control treatments--one during construction and one scheduled by the homeowner after move-in. Those complimentary treatments were fine; however; Bulwark then ASSUMED I wanted it to perform bimonthly treatments at a cost I considered too expensive. I repeatedly said on the telephone and by email that I was not interested in bimonthly treatments and not to contact me again. I plan to spray my house and yard myself. After about six months of peace, Bulwark has resumed aggressive marketing tactics. It has called me multiple times on my home and cell phones. Once again, I have told the callers I have zero interest in doing business with Bulwark and not to contact me again by phone or email. This company does not listen or ever seem to remove people like me from its marketing lists.

For 25 Years we have depended on Bulwark to protect our home from insects, spiders, wasps,crickets, ants, flies etc. We have had the same technician for many- many years and now have been assigned a new Technician: Jonathon B. = He was on time for appointment. Listened to our concerns and went to work. We watched everything he did and we were very impressed. He took down a wasp nest and sprayed area so they will not rebuild. He removed spider webs from outside our home. He sprayed under door thresholds and windows and around perimeter of our home. He put out granules around home. He was careful to stay away from 3 bird nest thay my wife has been looking after. The communication between appointments is outstanding. The company always contacts us well in advance of a scheduled appointment, and the technician always sends a message detailing his estimated arrival time. In particular, *** is a very courteous, knowledgeable and responsive technician. As stated, he always calls with notification of his arrival time, arrives with a friendly smile, and while addressing any specific issues we have, also provides valuable information regarding our pest control needs and procedures. He is also very flexible when we need him to postpone or delay an arrival due to a change in our availability. A hearty thanks to *** for his service and dedication. We have had Bulwark service for over 12 yrs at 2 locations. Recently, my husband became concerned about wanting to use something more natural due to our new pet and we switched ever so briefly. It was a nightmare. The service was not prompt, thorough or guaranteed like we were used to with Bulwark. Despite being stuck in a contract with the new company, we have switched back to Bulwark and boy, are we glad we did. Josh came out for our first service and was great. He spend time listening to the types of pests we have been seeing and came up with a thorough treatment plan. He also has checked back in with us to see if we are still doing ok. We noticed a big difference right away. It is nice to see technicians who care about their jobs and keeping clients happy. It is also nice to know that you can always get someone at Bulwark on the phone right away to address your problems quickly and that customer service means something at Bulwark. Thank you guys!

I used this company because I started to have a German *** problem at my house. They came and serviced my house twice a month for a few months and were billing my credit card more than they should have, luckily I caught and called them, they claimed it was just a mistake but it just seemed shady to me. Also, the fact they they only came twice a month and put blame on me for not calling them more often to come out to get service. They were making it seem like I was getting charged every time they came out so I only got service when I absolutely needed. They provided me very poor customer experience when in my house and as well as on the phone. I called and called and the supervisor I talked to again told me, "you are our eyes and ears at the house so you need to be calling us." they tell me that and give me a *** everytime they come. No thank you I will spray myself or pay more for a more professional team to come in and get it done in a more professional manner thank you.

Since this was the first time I have used a pest control company my expectations of the first visit *** have been too high. .Before the visit I asked the main office about what happens on the first visit since it cost more than 3 times a normal visit. I was told the tech uses a lot more chemical and it takes them a lot more time to throughly saturate all the outside house walls, rocks, block fencing, and all the bushes. Then they spray the entire inside of the house to kill the pest already inside. When asked by the tech what type of pest I have been seeing I told him scorpions, roaches, spiders, etc. I don't think *** was ever told what to specifically treat my house for so I believe he used a general spray and not one for the pest I have seen. This is still meant to be a good review I just thought the first visit would take a lot longer and more of the pest control product would be used for the extra money.

We had an infestation with ticks in our house after our dogs brought them in. I have been a Bulwark customer for over three years, and I have been accustomed to excellent service. During this pandemic however, I was uneasy about letting anyone into my house. I was very relieved when Chad Sample arrived to do the exterminating. He was wearing shoe coverings, a mask, and gloves. Chad was very thorough, but he cautioned that it might be necessary to retreat again for ticks. He told me not to hesitate to call if, after a few days, I saw any more ticks. We did have to have a second extermination, but that second one killed the remaining ticks. I have the utmost confidence that we are in good hands with Chad taking care of our property inside and outside. He is knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. Chad always calls to let me know when he is on his way to my house. He is respectful of my property, and he takes care of potential problems like knocking down spider webs, and treating for spiders, without me having to ask him to do those things. I have confidence that with Chad taking care of my property, we will continue to enjoy a pest-free life!

Bulwark Exterminating is the absolute best bug-hunting company I've ever used. I've been a homeowner for 35 years and was a "Gotta Be A *** to do anything around my biggest investment (my home). After being gouged financially for years, my family came home from a trip to open the microwave to heat some *** sandwiches to find an ant farm with hundreds if not thousands of ants crawling around. EEEEEEEKKKKKK. I called the bug-hunting company I was using and was told they could be there in a week. WHAT THE FCK?I called a friend and he told me about the best bug hunters which turned out to be Bulwark Exterminating. *** came out within the hour and put his bug-hunter's uniform on (which looked a lot like "GhostBusters" and put an end to the pesty critters. *** found all sorts of critters in my garage and the perimeter of my home. *** did such a good job that I got the theme sound to "Ghostbusters" stuck in my head for days (don't you just hate that?). *** came back 2 months later (this past weekend) for a follow-up to ensure the pet/grandchildren's safe chemicals were indeed working. We couldn't be happier with Bulwark. And to think of all that money I threw down the drain with that "Gotta Be A *** GEESH!

So, i get on Facebook, scrolling like always and this Pest Contra ad pops up. I started to continue scrolling but $67.00 caught my eye. There was a special on extermination in your entire house. This was too good to be true. So, I filled out the questioner and went on about me day. No later than a few hours, i was contacted by a Bulwark rep. He was very pleasant and knowledgeable. He explained to me step by step what would happen and reassured me that this promotion was true. He even gave me other options to add on to the property. After speaking to him, I was sold even if it was a scam, I was sold. On my appointment date Mr. Charles (Chuck) T. came and as we walked through the house, he let me know what he was doing and why. He educated me on what to do and what not to do. he was very friendly and knowledgeable about his career. he made sure I understood what he was doing. He also reassured me that the promotion was true. I would refer you guys to everyone I know in need. Also Thanks for the additional coupon. I suggest anyone use Mr. Charles T. because I know they will get great customer service. Thank you so much Bulwark. Bulwark Exterminators have a fine staff: helpful, pleasant seem desirous to fix problems, but "the right hand of this company doesn't seem to know what the left hand is doing." There is a major problem/mix-up with my account. After a year of contacting Bulwark by phone and providing evidence and information to straighten out why I was constantly charged for payments that had already been made, the foundational problem seemed apparent: the first check (handed to the service pro along with the signed contract ) got lost in the system. On Feb. 26, 2021, staff was going to contact him "to see if he mailed it". My bank statements have never shown that the check was cashed. It is evidently lost in the Bulwark system! If found, it might be cashed; thus, I'm not sending another check. I HAVE PAID EVERY ***...USUALLY ABOUT A MONTH IN ADVANCE!I received two emails (on Feb. 14 & 15) stating that the account has been closed effective 2/14/22. They asked if there was anything they could do to keep me as a customer. I thought the problem was corrected.Then a surprise: I was informed that my account is "100 days past due and will be turned over to our outside collections agency. This agency will report your account to the credit bureaus if it is not resolved." I don't deserve this kind of "strong-arm" treatment!

Bulwark has always been very prompt never missing an appointment.Sadly even though I work in a customer facing role who also relies on review feedback, I am often guilty of only leaving reviews only upon a negative experience.AND Im not even the one who pays the bill.So the fact that I am on here writing this on a service that when done well is normally invisible and not really touted should speak volumes!The Bulwark technician came out to the complex today for the normal scheduled outdoor treatment and just happened to knock on the door to let me know about it and asked if I had any issues to discussI said no, I had just seen 1 or 2 tiny German roaches the other day but wasnt up in arms about it since the outdoor treatment was about to happen. The guy promptly kicked off his shoes and treated all of the baseboards in my condo, being careful around my electronics, collectibles and pet bowls, the dog liked him and we had an interesting conversation about roaches and legos and I learned a few thingsnot bad for 5 minutes! He then treated the outside of the complex and removed a wasps nest and several spider webs.Im terrible with names though so if a supervisor at Bulwark reads these, the technician who treated an apartment complex on Avenue A in Hyde Park today around 11 has earned Bulwark a future customer for sure!

I was your Bulwark customer for just one month. On May 12th, 2022, this agent *** knocked my door to try selling me your pest control service and emphasized that your initial pest control service would be very intensive, and future quarterly treatments be for maintenance. However, within this June, two re-treatments had to be performed to catch different bugs in my basement and a mice tried to enter my house next to the basement's window. I have sent the photos of the bugs and mice to your tech support text number. I even found another small running bug inside of my entrance door a few days after second follow-up retreatment, but I finally decided to cancel the service and called your customer service yesterday. I have received email confirmation that my pest control service has been cancelled and there's no cancellation fee from your customer service. But the agent *** kept calling and harassing me today that cancellation fee have to be enforced. This is ridiculous. According to your money back guarantee, your company supposed to refund me for the initial intensive service as it did not work to remove bugs so frequent retreatments were needed. That initiative intensive service supposed to be most comprehensive treatment, but it's not as advertised so your second retreatment tech had to add mice catching box to deal with mice issue nearby my basement's windows. Your senior management should block the bad practice agent ASAP. That agent changed the tone today that he probably over-emphasized the pest control's outcome during his initial meeting to me. That's complete waste of my time for frequent two re-treatments within this month. He threatened me that someone from your company would call to charge me $300 cancellation fee, so I will need to report him, *** to your company's executives for his bad discipline issue and complaintsboard.com for his bad business practice. A month later a technician text me and said he sprayed outside and they sent me a *** for $89.00 dollars. Soon after that they left a message on my phone to pay or they would send it to collection. Now I received a *** from a collection agency, A.R.M. SOLUTIONS, ***, . How can someone take it upon themself to do that without a person permission. If they try this me, they are doing this to other people. I will contact Groupon and let them know what happen, and I hope they ban them from advertising.

I had used Bulwark for several years. The service and tech were fine. However over this years I had numerous issues with being double billed for bi monthly service. I had to provide canceled checks etc and the problem still persisted. Also I was pestered via e mail, land line phone and text on scheduling service. I requested a hundred times~ morning service. They ALWAYS prescheduled me with afternoons...arrg So I quit them. The harassment at this point never stopped. I sent a letter to the owner explaining all of this and 9 months later, I am still receiving phone calls on Weekend evening begging me to come back.I received yet two more calls this weekend after hours from them almost one year after I quit the service. A Bulwark Exterminating salesman visited my place in May . We agreed on a one-time extermination for $89, for which I paid and received a receipt. In August , I was surprised to receive a collection notice from ARM Solutions claiming I owe Bulwark $326. I contacted Bulwark, and they claimed I signed a seasonal agreement, which I did not. They haven't provided services since May . I informed the salesman I wouldn't be at the address long and demand the removal of these false charges.

About two months ago, Bulwark notified all homeowners in the *** that the builder has arranged for a one time bug treatment. I OKed that but declined on-going service. Since then, I have been harassed with phone calls trying to get me to continue service and saying I am responsible and required to speak to a supervisor to close the account. I did not open an account. I did not request any service at any time and if Bulwark was able to open an account without my consent or permission, they should be able to closed that account without me speaking to a supervisor. AT every call and by email, I have repeated that I did not ask for service, do not want service and will not accept their service, but for some reason, they are unable to hear that. At this point, they are only adding harassment to the list of issues I have with them. I want them to stop bothering me and go away. I have reported that I do not want them to call, but they still call.

I have been a Bulwark customer for over 10 years. My every other month charge was $60.62 including tax. Around the end of August, I received a letter by first class mail dated August 20. The main point of the letter was to inform me of a proposed increase in the service fee. The letter indicated that the increase would be $5.60 per service and they promised to not increase the charge again for a minimum of two years. I was not OK with the proposed increase so I called Bulwark on 9/6 and talked to ***. I explained that treatments formerly provided have been eliminated yet the fee goes up. *** agreed to reduce the increase to $4.50 and provide the next service at half off and provide a complete yard spray at no additional charge. The reasoning was that I my costs over the next year would net out to essentially no increase in cost. On 9/9, the service was completed as expected. However, the *** service was charged at $76.42 - not as agreed.

I have been a loyal customer with a service provider and previously had no issues. In June, I scheduled a home service, but the technician was a no-show, yet I was billed. After speaking with a manager, a discount and reschedule were promised. The pattern repeated: no technician and more manager calls. Promises of a free service and discounts were made. Eventually, a technician arrived, but I was charged a discounted rate instead of receiving the free service. On 8/15, I called to address this, only to be told by another manager that the free service was not recorded in their notes, and I was charged again. Had I known, I would have declined the service, as there's no incentive to fabricate a free service offer.

I ordered a Groupon for a one time service from Bulwark exterminating. I scheduled my appointment to service my home. They tried to schedule a reoccurring service. I told them I only wanted a one time visit. They were ok with that. They sent me a contract before my visit via email. I noticed they had checked off the box for reoccurring service. I contacted them and told them of the mistake. They said they were only scheduling me for the one time service, and I should just sign it so the technician could come to my house. I told them I wouldnt sign with the reoccurring service on the contract. They said ok, the technician would have to bring the contract with him. He came and did the work for the Groupon and did not have a contract with him. When he left I thought our device had completed per our agreement. A few months later I found an invoice for service on my front door. Apparently a technician came while I was at work. I had not requested another service and had no contract with Bulwark. I also found out they had emailed me the day before saying they were coming, but I had not seen the email until after their visit. I contacted them and told them they serviced my home on accident. I did not have a contract and did not request the service. They told me it was taken care of and that they would not come out again. A month later I received another notice that my account was passed due. I emailed again and they told me it was taken care of and they would call me. I got notices at 60 and 90 days passed due. I emailed again. Then I received a letter from A.R.M. Solutions,INC saying they were a collection agent on Bulwarks behalf. A.R.M. Phone number only gives three tones and then disconnects when you call. I have emailed and *** messages A.R.M. To try to discuss it. They have not responded. I just got a second letter from them.

Hello everyone, we have been using Bulwark for a few months now and have been very satisfied with their employees, on the phone at our yard. They are great. Always within the window they say they will arrive and since they have been tending to my house, I only have had the pets that belong here! Everything has been great. Thank you *** for taking such good care of our house.
built my new-construction home in 2022. It contracted Bulwark Exterminating to do two complimentary pest-control treatments--one during construction and one scheduled by the homeowner after move-in. Those complimentary treatments were fine; however; Bulwark then ASSUMED I wanted it to perform bimonthly treatments at a cost I considered too expensive. I repeatedly said on the telephone and by email that I was not interested in bimonthly treatments and not to contact me again. I plan to spray my house and yard myself. After about six months of peace, Bulwark has resumed aggressive marketing tactics. It has called me multiple times on my home and cell phones. Once again, I have told the callers I have zero interest in doing business with Bulwark and not to contact me again by phone or email. This company does not listen or ever seem to remove people like me from its marketing lists.
Love, love, love this company! They are so friendly and will work with whatever schedule you give them. Every time *** comes out to spray, he explains what he's about to do in great detail. When he's done, he always sends a reassuring text message to let us know the job is done!I'd highly recommend this company for all your exterminating needs. However, when you call, ask for them to send out *** because he won't disappoint!
