Purchased a tv off this company years ago when we lived ar 65 lister crescent. Sheffield s12 3fs. After paying half the tv off we decided to end the agreement. Bully boy collectors would come round while I was at work and demand that the instalments were low. My wife would have to make the missing amount up. I contacted dunraven on numerous occasions but they say they have no record. I still have the agreement in the house somewhere. They have just fobbed me off

I've been with buy as view for 2 years paid over £1, 200 for my telly! And am paying £34 a week out a week, I had to stop payments 4 weeks ago as couldn't afford to keep up with payments and since then all I've had is men banging down my door 2 of them tonight! Not one but two! Letters after letters, yous are not bullying me! Knocking on my door all time
you need to pay your bill like any company will send people around if you owe them money common sense

This is miss jenny vickers i live at 3 beechcroft grove bolton bl2 6ez, iam sick of buy as you view sending me messages about my payments and sending me default letters when at the end of the day buy as you view are supposed to be replacing my sofa i have told them i am not paying a penny till i get my new sofa it is ridiculous it has been a month and a half since i complained about the sofa i have now me and my family cannot even sit on our sofa properly so i am not paying a penny, and aswell buy as you view still expect me to pay any arrears on my meter for the sofa i have now (I don't think so), when i finally receive my new sofa i want money took of my account for this ridiculous inconvienience, buy as you view better get this sorted very soon cos if not im gonna take this a lot further.

got behind with payments due to ill health
my mum has been with buy as you view for a long time payments were always took and on time till she fell ill and had time in hospital because she got behind a little but tried to agree a payment plan they would not have any of it they wanted the full amount to which she could not afford the buy as you view person phoned her up upset her something bad as he wanted to take her tv back which she has nearly paid for so she refused he is now being quite nasty and this is causing her great upset and distress after being a good customer for so long this is no way to treat anybody. she will not buy off thease people ever again they are disgusting bullies. if you buy off thease people do not get behind through illness or anything else or you will get the same treatment they wont help at all setting a payment plan up
Service
I've been a customer for nearly two years and have never missed a payment. When I became a customer I used to call the office and pay by debit card on my payment day (Friday ) every week without fail, I would pay a little bit over the required amount. Even though my payments were on time I would get cut off and hav no service Friday night through Monday morning. When I called and complained I would only get a sorry and it won't happen again but sure enough I'll be calling again the next Monday morning as they will have cut me off again. I once came home to find a card pushed through the door threatening me with arrest by the police for allegedly interfering with their meter. I'm still waiting for their response to my call about this issue. I wrote to them in 13/10/2015 requesting insurance cover be taken off as I have home insurance no response. I have made several email and phone complaints no response. Just sick, sick to the back of my teeth with these people. Very much regret ever associating myself with them. Swindlers!

In order to rectify this, we have now made a change to our meter process for all customers, which means that your meter will remain in constant viewing mode. As long as you continue to make your payment on time, your meter will never be restricted.

buy as you view are scammers, STAY AWAY from them, they fooled my grandfather into buying a second hand laptop. they said that this laptop is top of the range and has the latest and most powerful hardware in it and basically i could jump in dog s**t and come up with a better result than this laptop. my grandfather (who is 69) has served his time in the army and i have great respect for him. he is pretty much a technophobe and they have scammed £1200 out of him for a laptop that is worth £50 (thats 24x more than its worth). that is not even the worst part. my mother (who has fibromyalgia, an awful physical disability) has also got a washer and dryer on finance with a total price of £1500 (even though the both of them are worth £200 together). both of them had problems from the start, the dryer would not blow out hot air and wouldn't dry anything and the washer leaked constantly and both pretty much were broken. my mother said she would not pay for them until they were fixed (they said we have insurance on them) at first the representative who made us get them on finance came and banged on the door for a few months, then they sent out the "meatheads" i remember this one time when i was 14 and i was in the house on my own and one of these "meatheads" came around banging on my door and i thought who the hell was this guy so i opened the door and the guy put his foot infront of the door and got in my face saying "i" need to pay for the machines and i said no not until they were fixed, we have insurance on them and after that he said "its not my problem" i thought who the f*** does this guy think he is and i was about to knock him out, to be honest i was 14 at the time but i am a big guy and i could have had him but i am not that type of person. he could see that i was annoyed i mean this person was quite small and so he backed off and that give me the chance to shut the door on him. i would go through the whole ordeal more clearly but if i did it would take me about an hour to type up and i dont have that sort of time to waste. STAY AWAY FROM BUY AS YOU VIEW. they are scammers and rip off's . dont buy anything from them EVER.
Laptop / scam
i am complaining about a laptop my grandfather has got on finance to buy as you view. STAY AWAY from this company. they have scammed my 69 year old grandfather out of £1200 for a awful second hand laptop that is worth £50 (24x more than it should cost) they convinced my pretty much technophobe grandfather that this is a top of the range laptop with the latest and most powerful hardware when basically i can jump in dog s**t and come up with a better result than this laptop. even if this laptop was brand new it would still be worth only £150 and they would charge £2000 alltogether for it. my grandfather has also had a 32" flatscreen which is worth £150 (which they made him pay £2000 alltogether) and a small stereo which is worth £100 and made him pay £1800 (i think) for it.they have completely ripped off my grandfather for thousands of pounds. thats not even the worse part. it was my mother (who is physically disabled) who persuaded my grandfather to get a tv from there before they decided to scam her too. at the time i lived with my mother and when the representative came around he was polite and persuasive (we were getting a washing machine and a tumble dryer on finance for £1500 when really it was worth £200, i was very young at the time and couldn't tell my mother it was a rip off) we got the washing machine and dryer and from the start the dryer never worked at all it was like one of those kids play tumble dryers it made the noises and it span good but no hot air came out of it and basically would not dry anything and just span it around for an hour and a half and the washing machine leaked an insane amount and constantly flooded our kitchen. after a few months my mother had enough of it and decided she would not pay money until they fixed the washer and dryer, after a few months of not paying they would send out the "meatheads" to bully us. there was this one time where i was in the house on my own i was 14 at the time and someone knocked loudly on the door and i thought who the hell is this guy so i opened the door and its non other than buy as you view. he put his foot in the door and got up in my face and said to me that "i" need to pay for the washer and dryer and i said to him they were broke and my mam is not paying for them until they are fixed. (i did not mention earlier that the representative said we have insurance on the washer and dryer) i said to this guy that we have insurance on these machines and he just said "its not my problem". i thought the cheek of it and i got annoyed and to be honest even though i was 14 this guy was smaller than me and i could have had him but i am not that type of person but anyways he saw that i got annoyed and backed off a bit so i took that opportunity to shut the door in his face. buy as you view are scammers and STAY AWAY from this company if you know whats good for you. they should be ashamed of themselves.
Harassing & banging my door down
Hi guys! Basically my mum got a TV with BAYV fitted with a coin metre, she left the country on Tuesday for 2/3 weeks due to family issues. When she left BAYV were knocking down my door asking to come in to take the Coin metre But obviously it isn't my house and I don't live here either I told them she was out the country for around 2/3 weeks and that when she comes back she will
Give them a call and they can come get it but no, they've been knocking day and night apparently (neighbour has told me) and they have been bombarding me with calls ect... Bearing in mind This TV has absolutely nothing to do with me, they have been threatening to phone the police to kick the door down and that they will kick the door down themselves.. I have explained to them a hundred times my mum is away and she will call them to collect the coin metre. I came to check my mums front door today and from "absolutely nowhere" a huge splinter has appeared in the door as if someone has tried to kick the door down.. What can I do? I need help because I don't know where to go from here even though the TV is nothing to do with me
mate i live in newcastle with my mother and i was in the same situation as you. i HATE buy as you view with all my heart and i hope they all die of the bubonic plague, it may sound extreme but (and i wont explain it here) if you knew my story you would understand why. they are NOT allowed to kick your door down. and to be honest you should not EVER get anything of buy as you view they are scammers and nothing more. there is not much i can say but try and catch them kicking down your mothers door
Cut my tv off before the next payment is due
I rang bayv to see if I could make my payment a few days later then usual to my surprise the man told me I wasn't due to make a payment for another week due to over paying them so he said he'd bring my meter up to date and that my next payment was due in a weeks time but nooo my TV turns off 3 days after I called them! An there's me thinking a week was 7 days Aha
Unforgivable reps and service
Granted i haven't been able to submit any payments, but the way ive been treated by the company and reps is unreal no pne has to indure that this day and age, you get ripped off hundreds off pounds for somthing that only costs 250 pounds to buy but you het charged 1400, just because your a single parent on benefits, my eldest daughter stole from me when she moved out ive had a death in the the family been ill, been reported to social services, you name it its happened since march, so much stress since march has made me ill, ive kept bauv informed right from day one when thinks started going wrong, and they still have the ner e to send letters, phone calls, and the rep has the nerve to say im not cooperating when i have txts and calls to prove i have, don't need the agro dont need the stress certainly dont need to be ripped off hundreds, sooner you get it back on monday the better, should never have took it out in the first place if only you could predict the future, one thing i will predict never ever choose buy ad you view, either wait till you can afford what you need or do without, less stress, more satisfaction knowing you got what you need without the stress and agro, from a horrible horrible company called. i now pay my debt as arranged by direct debit, buy as you view toid me the meter would be taken off my tv within a week of my 1st payment iam not into my 2nd months payment and there is no sign of them coming out to remove my meter iam now paying them twice, by direct debit and also putting money in my meter

Dangerous appliances
I got a double oven beko electric cooker from buy as you view and it is not even a year old and it went on fire I called buy as you view to report it eventually after waiting days to hear anything someone came out took a few photographs and said someone would be in touch no one ever got back in touch, so I called buy as you view back up after it happened a second time to be told beko would be dealing wit it immediately and still almost 3 weeks on nothing has been done! I have literally been left with an extremely dangerous item and I live alone with my 5 year old son. I am extremely disgusted and upset in the way buy as you view have dealt with this!

V i am on holiday at the moment a collect phoned my mum to see if he could collect the money my mum explain i am away till the 8th of june and that my niece has the keys to check my house she is 15 she was told to go in and make sure things was ok while she was there she turned the tv on and there was two men at the door banging and looking in the letter box they have also been peeping threw all my windows she is just a child and was scared she also had her friend and her baby brother who they was going to the park they have continued to do this for days even thow they have been told. Will not be back till the 8th i've never missed a payment yet and they have come early sometimes i've had to find the full payment which i do and don't say anything also my starting bill was 806 and yet when i asked how much i owe they say i owe 864 which i really don't understand i've been paying them for 7. Month now at 30 pound a month i will never recomend anyone to use them

This company will give you items to pay weekly and charge you over the top for them I got a 55" tv I've been with them for 2 years £25 a week for the tv I worked it out how much I've paid so far £1, 200 maybe more! Hello I am a new customer to buy as you view I was miss sold my finance on my new bed it was totally different from the one I saw on the site I complained about it and they said that's the way it is my bed is a king size bed and came with a double mattress and they said that there is nothing they can do about it and another thing about their company they told me on the day I purchased my bed that they would fit a payment box to my own TV for only two weeks until the direct debit was set up and after the two weeks they would come and take the box away little did I know that you have to keep the stupid box until it's paid off so my own TV that I paid for out right from a different shop could go off if I don't pay payment on time so I took it upon my self to dismantle the box and throw the in the bin to be quite honest the direct debit will be getting paid as prove of payment so why the need for the stupid box the box how can I prove the payment in a stupid box and someone taking payment by hand to me a direct debit is safe so that's the only way they get money from me I'm not that stupid to let people take money from my buy hand no way not in this life
ive had a tv with bayv for around 6 to 7 months around 7 weeks ago i spoke to my agent and told him i would need to sent the tv back as couldnt afford it anymore also told him that it had been lying dormant for the last 2 weeks as ide no money to put in it. he said he would sort it out. a week later 2 guys from bayv came and took the tv back. today 6 weeks later 2 agents from bayv came to collect £136 and told me that no one from the company had collected my tv the 6 weeks prior and it was theft so i must continue to pay for the tv and inform the police which i have. im getting worried as both men that collected the tv had bayv polo shirts on are they making a mug out of me too after reading all these reviews on here i will probably end up paying for a tv that as far as im aware ide returned.
These ppl are discusting! Had 2 big blokes at my door today saying they are seizing my goods ivtold them they are not getting in without a warrant he told me they do not need 1, vines full well they need a warrent! My 4 year old came to the door to see who it was I told them to go away and shut the door they stood there banning my door with mega fourse, I turned the music up and ignored it, untillv1 of them began to actually kick my door! I bought a laptop from BAYV, and i pay a little extra for Insurance incase it breaks down, also for accidental damage, my laptop after a few months broke down, the keys were falling off, the plug for the head piece came off, and it wasn't holding the internet, although my desktop was, i sent it back to get fixed, but after about 2 weeks, i had to call them to find out where my laptop was, and surprise surprise, they still hadn't looked at it, . Apparently they wouldn't look at it cos i didn't know what happened, so was forced to lie and told them my cat peed on it. This is so wrong. And my laptop is still not as it should be, but i wont give it back to them for obviouse reasons, so will get it fixed privately...Any advice on this would be good than ks...
Well I have had buy as u Veiw leflet through the post today, was interested so I phoned went through all the details, and answered all questions, someone was coming tomorrow to see me and for me to sign. After getting off the phone to them I thought I'd better come on line and read the reviews.. WELL THANK GOODNESS I DID! Wow! From all your reviews this company seems extremely bad, and not worth the risk! Just phoned up them and informed them of the reviews and cancelled the order!

In the past i have had direct debits some of them failed as i have so many after 3 of them failed i was told there would be a charge put on my account at the end of the agreement but on be known to me i was refinanced and i now owe nearly double at the beginning i bought a three piece for approx 1500 about 3 years ago now i have been told i still owe £1200 and i pay £56 a month where is the justice and also my money is not due until a thursday afternoon but on tuesday my tv was turned off i spoke to a customer adviser she turned the tv back on and apoligised and said said it should be ok till thursday afternoon but was turned off again on wednesday on tuesday i lost about 5 hours viewing as i could not get change and again on wednsday. I definitly will not use this company again nor recommend it to anyone but any one asks me about it i will give it a negitive
I am paying for my telly through a pound meter that is emptied every 8 weeks. I was informed by another employee that my previous collector was dismissed due to stealing money from his customers meters by taking more money than he should. The company has not contacted me to inform me so I do not know if my money was stolen an if so what they r going to do about it. I have been with this company for about 8 years and this particular collector has called on me quite regular over the years.
I have a payment box and it keeps taking more money than it should this company is a [censored]eall company which no one should ever use they deserve to be shut down for good I have only got a tv of them and the box has been taking 40 odd pound a week which is illegal as I have been to see a solicitor and they have said stop paying it and sell the tv what should I do

I went through buy as you view to get a sofa the agent came out took my details and everything then phoned through for it to be delivered which they said would be 2 days later so with all that sorted i arranged for my old one to be taken the night before so on day of delivery i wait in all day and decide to ring them only then to be told finance had beem declined so im sat here with no sofa for my children and me to sit on even though all the credit agreements had been signed bad buisness if you ask me

sheer excess of interest
I have been mis-sold items dating back to 2006 and have never been informed that there were tow finance options. therefore had i been given all the correct information to enable me to make a valid conscious decision i would never of given them my business. furthermore the insurance that they have put on me when I've previously supplied insurance documents were never taken in to consideration? with regards to their sales reps i find them rude obnoxious and down right intimidating. and the above is just a snippit of how un-happy what they are doing to me working as hard as i can to provide for my daughter alone only to be lied too, not told the whole truth & when challenged they disappear of the face of the earth & never to be seen again. i would never want any dealings with them ever again and i will definatley NOT be recommending them to any of my family and friends.

rip offs with bull tactics
I have been a customer of buy as you view for I've three years now my first purchase was tv in feb 2010 before the first two meter empties it was broken into but I made sure they where payed the correct amount and I arranged with my collector at that time to pay all future payments in cash when he came or over the phone by card he agreed and I have done this for 3yrs plus without any problems . In August of 2010 I received a phone call from b/a/y/v office asking me if I'd like anything else so I got a fridge freezer and tumble dryer and carried on making my payments at the door or over the phone instead of using the meter this as gone on for three years now in march 2013 comes the trouble I rung the office on 28/3/13 my payment was £115 due so I paid them £60 on the phone and told them I was going to bring the rest up to date on Friday 6th /3/13 which they accepted this payment was only split this once due to helping out a family member anyway while on the phone I queried why my payment was so high as I finished paying for my tv in feb 2013 she said someone would ring me the call ended.within 10 minutes of the call I call the collected to tell what arrangements I'd made and he practically bit off my head threatening to come to my house and take the goods he had the attitude of a gangster thug I told there is no way you will enter my house and take the goods and put the phone down the next thing today 29/3/13 I get a phone call from their office of another bully threatens the same thing so I told him the same I have paid for the tv in feb that's finished the dryer I returned last year because I had one bought for me so I only have the f/freezer which I Finnish paying for in August 2013 so now ther story is although I purchased the tv in feb 10 when I did the second purchase in August they are trying to say I started the agreement for the tv again so I still owe on it to August THIS Is NOT true i have signed no new agreement for the tv I was NEVER told I renews the agreement for tv with my 2nd purchase the first I heard of that was when I queried my payments on 28/3/13 and I refuse to let them get away with the bully threats and lies .
very bad service
I have been a customer of buy as you view for a few years now and the first couple of years was pretty good but then it all started going down hill customer service do nothing to help you at all. All they do is fob you off or pass the buck if there is a problem with your meter or a fault where your tv wont come on even though you have put your weekly payment in they would rather you wait days or even weeks before doing anything about it thats if they do anything at all. And as for any repairs dont hold your breath there either i have lost count the amount of times i have been lied to. So my message is dont go with buy as you view they make it sound really good at the start but you will have problems BIG problems. The most unhelpful firm i have ever come across
You can just use another mains cable from most other tv's or buy one (very cheap) this will put an end to the countless problems that arise with these stupid boxes!

UNHELPFUL AND BREACHING CONTRACTS
I had a sofa from buy as you view a year ago and 4 weeks after recieving it it started to rip at the seams where chairs reclined..An upholster bloke was sent out and agreed it was in a state and it should be changed...nearly a year on im STILL WAITING for that replacement but they dont stock it any longer and the current sofas thay have are a hell of a lot less than what ive already paid.
Ive told them i want my money back since they have breached the contract and not supplied a new sofa etc but im being passed form pillow to post so im now having to seek legal advice and start legal proceedings against them.No one wants to know about th problem now its a case of giving money back.

I wouldn't recommend by as u veiw they are rip off merchant change payments as they please . I had a agent (collector) I was at the time waiting to go into hospital for a operation for cancer the agent was rude. Changing their stories I'm phoning them every wk I put credit on my account because it keeps asking for more money if anyone is thinking abbout using them please go to perfect homes or brighthouse please don't use these as they are robbers
I got a laptop from buy as you view cause I had a financal difficuilt with I tried to phone the collector who kept cutting me off so I phoned head office they told someone would phone with In 24 hoirs and still waiting 72 hours later so they just turned and I wasn't i. They tried every think to get a Family member to let them in then they made a 17 year sign for something when he was even nothing to do with it I highly recommend they never use this company THEY ARE A JOKE

I am a recently new customer with buy as you view and from start till now i have had nothing but problems with this box. i make payment by pay point and make them on time and still it turns off my television so i telephone to get someone out to sort it and just by luck the last 4 times my tv has come on itself and just as well it has because no engineer has ever turned up to sort it for me. Although this time is different i have had no viewing on my main tv for over 36 hours now i have telephoned continuously to say no one has still not turned up all i seem to get is promises that someone will come if that was the case then why did they not turn up all the other times i called? I suggest if you cannot get your engineers to pull their finger out then yous need to sort out other ways for customers to pay instead off this rubbish having a box into your main tv then it gets switched off.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.

Their payment box just use another mains lead from
another television or buy one (very cheap) but still put your weekly
money (that you are being robbed of) in the box for when they come
To extort oops I mean collect from you! Hope this puts an end to most

Heather, this is unusual. They are pretty good at sorting stuff out. If you speak to the person who is Head of Customer Service, she will fix it. I think her name is Elaine. She helped me out really quickly before. I got her on the 0845 number.
There's also another senior guy there called John Smith. My friend said that he is pretty good too

i have been a customer with buy as you view for some years now and to my knowledge 1 of my collectors was finished as he took all the takings from peoples meters and my recent collector has been suspended i fell into arrease on my account for one of my collections but my meter was emptied 3 times and i thought it was up to date now ive been told that they have done a rewrite on my account wich i have not singed for they have now reversed this but now say i owe 127.00 arreas what can i do to resolve this cos as far as i know my account was not in arreas when they done the rewrite but is now please help ps i would like you to look in to the amount of people who have had rewrites done on there accounts without knowing about them as i wouldnt have found out untill i applied for a new bed thats when this all come to light
This company is a laugh they knock my door constantly. They sit out side my house and have followed me. They have asked me in the street if I anybody to brow money off as he is finishing soon and if I didn't pay £20 by the morning I would ow double. I have read that that is wrong so we're has money gone. He has said he will get the van it's on the corner always using that as a threat. If u call them out for any reason they want money out the box. Attitude stinks they full of cap. I had a tumble 2 years ago it been broke for a year as they told me no insurance. Also my tv broke in 09 and they told me no insurance and had to buy another from scratch with them. I will never have again 7 years iv been paying for a fridge tumble tv and stand soo sorry. He knocked xmas eve and said if I didn't pay 100 he would take things so I called his bluff and he then wanted to make arrangements for payment after Xmas he did this quite openly in front over people I didn't want hearing fuming is a understatement. He wants to refinance because of areas of 100 I told him noway he said will not affect me. Haaa joke. Don't bother . Thanks
Buy as you view very poor customer service they do not come to empty box when they say so . Phone one manager to arrange collection said she would contact agent to empty box next day phoned next day to find out what was happening said agent would phone he did not. When I phoned agent he said manager had just phoned him and he would not be able to come for at least 2 days to empty box. What a joke stay away from this company unless you are desperate you have been warned.
Theft
I am paying for my telly through a pound meter that is emptied every 8 weeks. I was informed by another employee that my previous collector was dismissed due to stealing money from his customers meters by taking more money than he should. The company has not contacted me to inform me so I do not know if my money was stolen an if so what they r going to do about it.I have been with thiis company for about 8 years and this perticular collector has called on me quite regular over the years.
Hi am just wondering for a few questions last year I had a loan tv while they fized mine. But when they come back to collet the TV they took the wrong remote.. my blue ray remote works for the loan tv. They promised to buy a new one for me 8 months ago and everytime I ring up to explain they just fob me of but the main problem is the blu ray isn't mine so I am getting harassed by my mate who lent me it he told them if I don't get the remote he taking my cooker.. has anyone else had this problem with buy as you view I have non stop phone calls with them among other things they just don't seem to care is it fair for me to close my payment down untill they sort things out? Or were do I go from here how do I make them listen? Please help!
Please people just realise you can just unplug the meter from your telly and switch it for any other tv cable! Just incase you should ever have a fault with your existing meter
