Canadian Tire

I brought my chrylser minivan in to get 2 front tires changed. The apprentice broke my tpms on one of the wheels and they tried to tell me that it wasn't his fault and that it happens sometimes because the vehicle is older and parts are rusted. I asked them if they will fix it and they said it wasnt their fault. I argued with the store manager and had the gm come talk to me and he basically said that hes gotta believe his guys and that it wasnt their fault. So I argue with them some more and then the manager offers to waive the installation fee for the tires but I have to take care of the tmps myself. I said no so then he calls up a junk yard and gets a price on a tpms and he said it will cost them $40. He then gives me attitude and walks away with the gm. At this point I dont know what his plan is but they have finished putting my car back together and give me the bill. They waived the install fee but I didn't know that because he had told me they weren't going to waive because they ordered the part for me. So I asked for the manager back to see what was going on. He said he waived the fee and they ordered in the part. Now I'm ok that they did that but it should have never escalated and they should have accepted that they broke it and needed to fix it in the first place. They say they have experience and this and that yet they weren't experienced enough to deal with this properly from the beginning. I will wait and see now if the manager calls me on monday to fix my tpms.
