On May 17/24, my daughter took her car to the Dartmouth Crossing store. She wanted an oil change and someone to blow out some sand on the brake dust cover. I contacted three other Canadian stores and asked what the procedure was. All three service managers repeated the same story... turn the wheel hard left and they would blow the dirt out, no charge, chalked it up to good customer relations. My daughter gave no authorization for work other than her oil change. She returned to find that some technician decided to just tear off the dust plate, but didn't advise of his actions, She was in a hurry for a family event and didn't notice the extra charge of $149 plus a charge as shop materials of another $10.20. I called the store and as soon as the technician knew it was a complaint I was put on hold for 10 minutes, then I heard loud voices and I was hung up on. I called back immediately and often, and the phone was not answered until I used a different phone, called, was answered then hung up on again, multiple no answer on either number,
Claimed loss: cost of brake dust cleaning, new dust plate installed and refunded and an apology!
Desired outcome: As above
