I went to Canadian tire regent branch (store#270) on Saturday March,09,2024 to buy headlight bulb for my car. I came directly from my work after my shift so I was in my uniform and I had my back pack as well. I found the bulb and went to the register # 6 at 14:23. I paid for bulb under the transaction # 251, operator #2706 and float: 001. The young security...

Re. Unsatisfactory Auto Workmanship
Jan. 16, 2024
Dear Sir/Madam,
I request a refund of $556.27 for unsatisfactory auto workmanship at Canadian Tire Store 270 in Winnipeg.
I took my 2017 Rogue into the Regent shop to service the cooling system. The cooling system did not leak before they serviced it. The dates below clearly indicated poor workmanship.
• Nov. 28, 2023: I asked them to install a block heater and flush the cooling system.
I was told that the thermostat and the water control valve had to be replaced. The cooling system needed reverse flushing.
When driving home, I smelled antifreeze. Then I noticed antifreeze dripping from the engine block. The cooling system was not serviced properly.
The cost was $1,233.26.
• Dec. 13, 2023: I returned the car and ask them to stop the leak.
About ½ hour I was called the that car was ready. When I got home, I noticed that it was still leaking. That ½ hour was not enough time to stop the leak.
• Dec. 20, 2023: I returned the car.
I was told that there is no leak, the cooling system was pressure tested.
It is a fact that proper pressure testing detects even minor leaks. Pressure testing was not done properly. The cooling system is still leaking.
• Jan. 10, 2024: I returned the car for the same reason.
I was told that the water outlet was leaking and needed to be replaced.
I had to prepay $556.27 because the part was a special order.
• Jan 15, 2024: I returned the car to installed the water outlet.
According to my Haynes Repair Manual, the O-ring on the water outlet needs to replaced when flushing the cooling system. The invoice did not have a charge for that part. Five service appointments indicate inexperienced service personnel.
I trust that you will refund me my money.
