This incident has happened on Friday March 5th at 3:50 p.m in Canadian Tire store located at 11720 Yonge St. where I brought a quality failiour meet grinder to return. This issue could cause a serious health problem with the user of this this product which is sold by Canadian Tire.
My little 5 year old daughter was with me when a customer service representative attended. She starts with inspection of the product and starts with asking question about my complaint. Once she found I have right to return the product she tries to find other things to not accepting my return. I clearly mentioned that my aim is to find other solutions if I can't return the product.
Later on she said they can't accept to return the products and refers me to the manufacturer to take my complaint to or drop the meat grinder in the garbage. I reminded her that "we are working hard to earn money and spent it with reputable reseller to be responsive for any issues" and then she starts raising her voice in front of my daughter and repeat it "take the product to the manufacturer and they can solve the problem". Her inappropriate behavior caused my daughter starts crying and when I feel i'm not safe I was start take video to keep my right in future. Suddenly she attacked me and grabbed my phone (her action was recorded) while my daughter was standing next to me and she was about to harm her and refused to return it back to me. Then the security involved and return my cell phone.
Her horrible action scared my little daughter to that extend that she was shaking. We left the store without being helped and I have no choice but to file this incident with 911.
Now my question is, why untrained employees facing with clients? Do we really deserved such reactions in return to complain about product failures?
