Food Basics - Inappropriate question.

I was visiting your store on regent street Sudbury Ontario Friday, November 24 with my 90-year-old aunt who was there shopping as well as buying gift cards for her family. What we had a problem with was the cashier asking us why we were buying gift cards that was such an inappropriate question it does not matter why my aunt was so insulted. Do better

Desired outcome: Apology and do better

Food Basics - Complaint

I went to Foodbasics, 1875 Regent Street, Sudbury Ontario, Canada around 11AM, March 30, 2022. The self-check out staff Llord gave me a middle finger and humiliated me in public when I checked out.

I only had two items in the cart. Vine tomato ($88c per pound, in total $2) and a cauliflower ($2.50). When I put the tomato on the scale, a phone call came in. I picked up the phone and started talking. Then I realized that it would take a while for the phone call. I tried not to block the line behind to check out. I thought I paid for the tomato as I put that on the scale already, so I put the cauliflower on the scale and paid for it. I pushed the cart out while I was still on the phone. Llord stopped me immediately. I had to stand in a corner to finish my phone call first. He pointed out that I did not pay for the tomato. I felt sorry about that. So I immediately went back to pay. Llord called the female manager in, and complained that I tried to steal. While I was trying to pay for the tomato, he questioned me whether I put all or only part of the tomato on the scale. He gave me a middle finger while the manager saw him doing that. I am an Asian women. It looks to me that Llord is a racist and discriminated me based on my color and gender.

I apologize for the careless mistake. However, I have zero tolerance for the humiliating, discriminating comments and behaviors from him. I hope you look into it. Otherwise, I will file a discrimination case against Foodbasics.

Every time I went there, there is no hand sanitizer, no wipes. The carts were never be sanitized.

Desired outcome: apology letter from Llord foodbasics, 1875 Regent Street, Sudbury Ontario, Canada And gift card as compensation
