To whom it may concern,
First of all, as a member I didn't even use it, I only use it during my schedule with personal training session and I even missed 15 sessions of my PT for three months between May to August 2019 and I am paying this big amount of money plus I got sick and hospitalized but they don't cooperate with me.
On Sept. 12, 2019 @ 1:37pm, I emailed David Friedman the fitness manager of Toronto Bloor and Bay area to cancel my subscription due to health issues as I was hospitalized between Aug 16-23, 2020 and I need some time to recover. David Friedman told me that in order to cancel it I need to pay the buyout fee of 10%. As we agreed upon on Sept. 23, 2019, I went to the branch but my cards don't go through so I decided to come back the next day which I brought my cash and David said they don't accept cash. But David called me and said he will freeze my membership that time until I decided to come back but then this pandemic came then when the lockdown was lift, they made charge of $275.71 and $41 around August 25, 2020 in my account which I believe I already stopped the payment from my bank to Goodlife fitness. And I called goodlife customer service to cancel my membership as well but they still keep on doing the auto payment from my account. After all the conversation from the phone with David and the customer service I never went back to goodlife which is very unfair for me if they are still getting money from my account which I cancelled. Here are the details of the email I received with my membership and PT session:

8/12 received email freeze subscription lvl 2 - 1 hr - biweekly from 8/12-9/12/19
8/29 received email freeze subscription lvl 2 - 1 hr - biweekly ending 9/12/19
3/9/20 email received subscriptionfreeze lvl 2 - 1 hr - biweekly lvl 2 ending 3/23/20
3/20 email received subscription freeze lvl 2 from 3/24/20 to 6/4/20
8/12/20 email received from charlene dowling the new fitness manager of bloor yorkville stating official opening of the gym.
8/25/20 email them back that I received an auto payment and told them I am not coming back and ive already cancelled the membership and personal training.
8/27/20 received email from darlene dowling and teling me in order to cancel I need to pay the buyout fee of 20% this time.
9/1/20 email received temporary freeze of subscription lvl 2 - 1 hr - biweekly 10/19/20
10/2/20 overdue acct of $58.89
10/5/20 received email freeze subscription lvl 2 - 1 hr - biweekly ending 10/20/20
10/13 received email freeze subscription lvl 2 - 1 hr - biweekly ending 11/6/20
10/19/20 received email freeze subscription lvl 2 - 1 hr - biweekly ending 11/2/20
10/23 received email subscription cancellation confirmation 11/2/20
10/23 collection notice goodlife membership has cancelled 11/6
10/23 lvl 2 freeze ending 11/2/20
10/24/20 emailed them to cancel everything
11/7/20 received email final collection notice balance outstanding $1, 359.92 and they gave me five business days to settle.

I also noticed their dates have different pattern like (DD/MM/YY) instead of (MM/DD/YY) which they make you confused to where subscription will end. And people like me who were very busy will not notice this kind of details.
