I purchased a tfal actifry in black from Canadian tire which was on sale for $119. When I took the item to the cashier it scanned for $269, not realizing I paid for my purchase and went back to my car. Once I did realize I took the item back to customer service and was told the the white airfryer is on sale and not the black one even though the price on the shelf did not differentiate which colour the sale price was for and just said $119, which I also think is ridiculous that the exact same item in different colours is not on sale- something Canadian tire seems to regularly do. I decided to go with the white airfryer anyway to get the sale price. One of the associates that was assisting me told the general manager Joe Pereira about the situation, he began yelling loudly that the signage is not misleading, there's nothing to complain about, and that the barcode says which one is on sale (something that a customer has no idea how to decipher whether it says black or white). Joe Pereira was so rude and dismissive about the situation by rudely yelling out loud about the situation instead of apologizing for the confusion, I had already agreed to go with the white airfryer at that point. I think it's ridiculous that a general manager would treat customers that way especially since he is representing Canadian tires brand. The sales associates helping me also agreed the he was rude and their reaction to him made me believe that he probably treats all customers this way.
