Hi I checked into the Caesars palace to celebrate my wedding anniversary on 20th July 2023. On arrival to my room the room was smelling of marijuana and cigarettes, the toilet had not been flushed and there was a smell from the sewerage in the toilet and shower… The cabinet doors in the room were all marked and the carpet was dirty who hair evident in it. I immediately rang the front desk who told me that I would need to come to the front desk. I went there and waited for 50 minutes to speak to someone about changing rooms. I have stayed in that hotel before and never had any issue with it. I was told that that was the only room available in that floor and that I would have to go with a room upgrade if I wanted a better standard- I didn’t want a better standard I wanted a clean room which was what I expected from this hotel. They moved me to another room and charge me an upgrade fee which I thought was dispicable as it wasn’t my fault the room was dirty or smelling. Also I approached the desk to inform them that my Wi-Fi was not working and was told that it wasn’t a problem for anyone else however during my time there I heard others complain. I feel that for such a popular hotel the standards have dropped massively and there is no thought out into customer service

Desired outcome: I would like my resort fees refunded and my extra upgrade charge refunded along with my room charge as I did not get what I paid for at all and I’m extremely disappointed
