Canadian Citizenship & Immigration Resource Center [CCIRC] / Immigration.ca Bait and Switch Fraud, Sabotaging Immigration Cases, False Marketing

For public knowledge and safety of potential immigrants to Canada we are collecting the list of complaints already filed in the past about Colin R. Singer.

Links to some of these complaints can be found by searching "Aynur Arife Yorulmaz". Most people on forums are complaining that Colin R. Singer indulges in bait and switch by sabotaging his client's immigration cases and thereafter extortion through lawsuits. If you consider yourself a victim of this lawyer look at other forum threads for advice on how to get your money back.

On his website he proclaims himself as an authority/expert on Canadian Immigration but he is not peer rated on Martin Dale. He is not listed as a leading expert in The Best Lawyers in Canada or Canadian Legal Expert Directory. Some people will consider this false marketing. The only good reviews about Colin Singer seem to come from links/websites he controls himself.

There are unverified complaints of anti-antisemitism in staff and existence of porn companies owned by him. If believe you are a victim, do thorough research and take steps to protect yourself.

Dear Mr. Singer. The situation to shift the blame was triggered by the terse mails that you have sent me . The high handedness and aggressive attitude you have used in your communication indicates your utter disrespect towards your clientele. Also your smartness is incorrigible when you keep blaming me for the two things I have never asked all through the two years of contract which ended this March. 1. Guarantee for immigration 2. Refund of the money paid to you. I'm surprised to see the language you are using in the public domain let me put up a sample from your mails "
You are entitled to receive all our services under contract. Payment of
our fees and receipt of our services does not mean you will ever succeed to Canada.
We have provided you with excellent services to date, but unfortunately some
individuals, like you, believe they are entitled to guarantees in exchange
for paying our fees.

We are not satisfaction guaranteed, benefits guaranteed, or anything that
closely resembles such description.

If for any reason, you are not happy, satisfied or otherwise with our
services, then you have the liberty to find someone else who will meet
your superfluous standards." this is your language and aggression to gullible clients. Your excellent service job service includes a list of companies in Canada without proper contacts and connections, a general template. Not one company has ever responded to an applicant who is yet to gain a PR in Canada. You as a experienced attorney are, under the "no guarantee immunity" are taking the clients for a ride. The concern is clearly on your approach to encash money from the clients and also give false promises and chance applications which never get a response from the companies and a list of companies which outdated meaning some companies do not even exist and a few have changed their names. It looks like a general list of companies you get from the industries department, not one that you have put any effort to support your paid clients. The last response you saying you would evaluate the new qualification and get back to me in a week. It is more than 3 months and you have not got back with any suggestion what so ever on a qualification of significance. The contract is now expired and you have made over 2300 Canadian dollars with delivering any value to me. Only thing you have delivered are threats and warnings and a super suggestion to seek services from another service provider. Clearly you have no commitment to you clients and the hard earned money they spend in these attempts to immigrate. Even your claim of a legal suit against anonymous complainants seems biased and evidence to have mislead the honourable judge.

The decision to hire the services from Immigration.ca made a huge difference in my process. As
we know, Canada offers different ways to immigrate, and when I first started looking for
information I was not sure which one would match better with my skills and qualifications. Colin's
team evaluated all my background and told me the best process for my case.

"We hired Attorney Colin Singer’s services at the end of 2014 to apply for the Canada immigration. Due to rule changes in January 2015, the initial mandate did not at first succeed and our plans became delayed. But we accepted the fact that this was outside Mr. Singer’s control. As we had excellent communications with his office, we had full faith in his advice to the point that we signed a second mandate with his firm. This decision proved very beneficial to me and my family as this effort led to a coveted invitation to apply as a Federal Skilled Worker. Mr. Singer’s creativity and insight was no doubt critical in this outcome. The team at immigration.ca were highly professional and they gave us outstanding services during the past 3-years.
I have also become an avid follower of Mr. Singer’s extensive social media platforms. This helped us stay informed with the latest developments and the Express Entry program. It is clear from any objective assessment, that Mr. Singer is an experienced professional as well as a knowledgeable and dedicated individual.
As my profile shows, I am a young, experienced and motivated professional from southern India. I am glad our research led us to this law firm. My family and I are excited to be headed to Canada, and we look forward to continue building even stronger ties between India and Canada."

I had posted a rebuttal on Mr. Colin Singers reply to my complaint on his services. The rebuttal was filed on /link removed/ The next day onwards the site is not reachable to me and my region in India. Possibly he did not want to let the world especially my part of the world to know his mischiefs with the clients. Not that the language was offensive or terse but the rebuttal exposes the approach and aggressive attitude of Colin Singer towards his clients. Please go through the site /link removed/ to know it better. This guy is an experienced intellect and quite influential. But not worth the investment as he takes you for a ride on the contractual obligations and tries to prove that the services provided are sufficient for the monies paid no matter you have met the goal of immigration and job placements that you have hired him for, .. or not. Be cautious. be careful . Be warned of the immigration.ca services.

Our REPLY:

As you are aware, you hired our services on March 3, 2016 to apply for admission to Canada as a Federal Skilled Worker under the Express Entry system. We agreed to represent you using our best efforts, on the basis of your claimed qualifications, which you presented on January 27, 2016.

We signed a written agreement providing for very extensive services with a specified term of 24-months. We believe this is the right period of time for our clients to meet all of the required elements. It gives them the best chances to benefit from our extensive services. This includes up to 2 submissions to the Express Entry pool, a comprehensive employment search and free English language tutorials. Following free language tutorials, our third party language provider offers additional excellent on-line language courses at reasonable fees.

Our legal fees are charged under a fixed fee basis, in amount of $3, 250 payable in 4-installments. You received a discount. You have paid 3-installments totalling $2350. Again, our obligations to you are carried out using our best efforts. We do not provide services under guaranteed results. Our obligations to you begin after you hire our services.

Before you remitted the first installment fee, we informed you in writing, that both you and your spouse would need to each write an English language test. While the client duties require you to provide us with all supporting documentation quickly, you took 6 months. From March 2016 through September 2016, we provided you with extensive counsel, including strategies to address the following problem.

When you completed our online questionnaire on January 27, 2016, you wrote that you have HIGH ability in speaking, reading, writing, and listening in English. However, when you wrote the mandatory IELTS test, you did not reach HIGH levels in all of the 4 elements. You could therefore not qualify to submit an application. We could not have possibly known this until long after you hired our services.

We provided you with an extensive job search comprising of a tailored data base of potential hiring employers in your field, across Canada, a revised CV, tips on how to find a job from outside Canada – 14 stand-alone, comprehensive documents with videos, power points and other written content. In our job search, we encouraged you to visit Canada for the purpose of meeting with potential employers. You never followed through with this undertaking, that we are aware of.

On May 9th 2016, we gave you two possible options to overcome your insufficient language test scores. First, either you could re-write the IELTS and score a slightly higher score, that would be consistent with what you initially stated you possessed in January 2016. Or, second, your wife could become the main applicant, on the basis of her existing test results.

However, if you chose the second option, with your wife becoming the main applicant, we specifically informed you in writing, that she would lose 1 point on February 10, 2017. This would result in her profile becoming “automatically disqualified” and removed from the express entry system by immigration authorities as she would no longer meet the minimum requirements as a Federal Skilled Worker.

We encouraged you both to study English and re-write the IELTS language test to try and improve your scores. In this way, we you could increase your chances to Canada.

On May 10th 2016, you wrote that you are not yet decided on which solution you and your wife would choose.
You re-wrote the English language IELTS on June 24th 2016, and still, you did not reach all the required levels that you claimed in your initial communications with us. You were only short a single level in listening.

In September 2016, six months into our mandate, you finally provided us with all the essential documentation for your wife to become the main applicant, knowing that this profile would only remain valid until February 2017.

We submitted your wife as the main applicant on September 16, 2016 into the Express Entry Pool.

On February 10th 2017, we informed you that your Express Entry profile was removed from the pool. We re-iterated what your spouse must do to enable re-submission of the application.

We sent you a reminder message on May 31, 2017. You remained silent until June 19th 2017.

On June 19th 2017, you wrote us that you “acknowledge your advice for reappearance at the IELTS test”. You went on to say in simple terms that you are both not prepared to give this undertaking any more effort. Instead, you tried to shift the burden onto our shoulders to find you a route to Canada.

You wrote: “It would be worthwhile if, as an experienced attorney in this line of business, if you can think of other options that could help us with, like the Provincial Nominations”.

In essence you tried to shift the Client Duties, which you agreed to abide, unto the Lawyer’s duties to achieve a successful result. Clearly this was never the agreed terms of engagement between us.

Your wife, when we submitted the application in September 2016, had reasonable English language skills that could surely be improved, with modest effort. This is based on our experience with many other candidates. Regardless, this was your obligation to meet, or not.

Had she worked on this, from September 2016 until today, November 30, 2017, we could provide you with the second submission of this application, under contract and possibly create new doors to Canada.

While your message contains sufficient language to allow us to conclude a termination of this mandate, we still welcome you to try and embrace the challenges that you agreed to, when you hired our services.

In fact, we have many other clients, with weaker English language skills, who have re-written the IELTS language test many times before finally reaching the required levels to qualify under Express Entry. By doing so, this opened the doors for other options that became available to them during our 24-month contract and led them to a successful application to Canada.

To date, we have exchanged with you more than 150 written messages, providing you with extensive services, outlined above. There remains a full 3-months left on this 24-month mandate and another submission, to the express entry pool.

Language requirements in this field, have been proven to affect income earnings of newcomers to Canada. Our government imposes minimum language requirements in your best interests, for this reason.

It would provide us with much pleasure, and we are ready to welcome you with open arms, with hope that your family will meet the English language requirements for this Canada project. This is what you agreed to embrace, in good faith, when you started with us in March 2016.

However, trying to blame your lawyer for your failures to meet these challenges; trying to turn this mandate into one of "result" instead of "best efforts" which is the standard we both agreed to, and using descriptive language which is entirely inaccurate and less than respectful, given the best efforts we have given, is most regrettable.

We remain,
Yours Sincerely

Colin Singer, Immigration Lawyer & Managing Partner, immigration.ca

Got a call from a Charles Burton claiming to represent immigration.ca from [protected]
Quebec, Canada. Claimed that they were from the Canadian Immigration and also that the RCMP was on the phone call. Stated that I had not filled out an alien registration number when I had landed in Canada which implied that I was 'hiding' from authorities. Had no reply when asked how I could apply for one and why I had not been advised of this earlier. Also claimed that a case had been registered against me back in my home country. Stated that in order to investigate both these issue, needed to confirm my identity. When I refused to divulge confidential details on the phone, very threateningly claimed that I should immediately walk to the nearest police station as I was being uncooperative. Bordering on harrasment; not sure what kind of ID theft is being perpetrated but an extremely harassing experience.

We are a mid size trucking firm in Eastern Canada and we have been using immigration.ca for both our recruitment and immigration needs. Mr. Singer is a highly respected and sought after professional. He was in fact referred to us by our provincial government representative. His firm coordinated an efficient recruitment project of drivers for our company, which has multiple locations. We observe one of our biggest challenges in working with foreign workers is their lack of understanding and very occasionally, basic respect for practices in Canada. Should anyone require a personal reflection please contact Mr. Singer for our details.

I found immigration.ca to be quite flexible. I hired their services last month but then we decided not to immigrate to Canada for now. Attorney Singer agreed to refund me part of the initial installment my wife and I paid. They were very professional during our dealings.

for my better judgement, I also was lured by their scam and ended up paying money for nothing. My advise to anyone who wants to get the worth of his money is not to go to Immigration.ca as they scam you to get your money and you don't get the adequate service.

Dear Driends,
This mail is regarding my complaint of 20th Oct . I want to clarify that there was a misunderstanding in the mails exchanged between Mr Singer's office and me. My service in the Navy as an engineer does not disqualify me from applying for immigration, instead I was supposed to give a detail of my duties and responsibilities of various posts I had held in the Navy. This was clarified to me by Mr Singer himself through a telephonic call. It therefore seems that I have been a bit hasty in posting the above complaint.
I also appreciate the prompt action taken by Mr Bouchard's office. The personal interest shown by Mr Singer in contacting me and clarifying the issue to me has brought back my trust in him and his office and this i wanted to share with you all. I apologize for posting my complaint dated 20th Oct and again for not removing it after I received his call.

Canadian Citizenship & Immigration Resource Center [CCIRC] / Immigration.ca Fraudulent Immigration Company

Be very careful. These people cash on the official sounding name of their company and a very generic URL for their website (immigration.ca). I have read they take your money and spend a long time filling up your application. After that, Canadian Government will update their laws and these people will start over again, asking for more money. The guy running this company is Colin Singer.
