Car Care Plan Terrible Customer Service and Avoidance of Claims: Stay Away from Car Care Plan

This company, Car Care Plan, is just plain awful. They do everything they can to avoid paying out on claims. It's like they don't even care about their customers. And to make matters worse, they completely ignore any attempts to contact them. It's like talking to a brick wall. And when they do respond, they're just plain rude. It's unbelievable. I would strongly advise staying far away from this company. Trust me, it's not worth the hassle.

Car Care Plan Disappointing Car Care Plan Experience: Lack of Service and No Refund Options

I recently purchased a car care plan from Car Care Plan (carcareplan.com) that included coverage for cosmetic repairs and alloy wheels, as well as a warranty. I was initially pleased with the service when they sent a mobile van to fix some small scratches on my car. However, when I contacted them for an alloy refurbishment, things took a turn for the worse.

The company they used for the alloy refurbishment made the process extremely difficult. They kept rescheduling and canceling appointments, causing a lot of frustration on my end. After waiting for four long months, I finally discovered that they were unable to fix the alloys. I immediately reached out to Car Care Plan for assistance, but unfortunately, they were unable to resolve the issue. It was disheartening to realize that I had paid for a service that ultimately did not benefit me in any way.

To make matters worse, I had purchased the plan from a dealership and had approximately two years left on the policy when I decided to cancel it. However, much to my disappointment, I was informed that no refund would be provided. They claimed that no refunds were due, leaving me feeling cheated and regretful for not doing more research before investing my hard-earned money.

Overall, I must say that this car care plan was not worth it at all. The lack of satisfactory service, coupled with the absence of any refund options, left me feeling frustrated and dissatisfied. I strongly advise anyone considering purchasing a plan from Car Care Plan to thoroughly investigate and weigh their options before handing over their money. It's crucial to do your homework to avoid ending up in a similar situation.

Car Care Plan Terrible Customer Service and Invalid Coverage: A Frustrating Experience

I gotta tell ya, I had a real tough time tryin' to use their website. Kept gettin' these technical issues poppin' up left and right. So, I figured I'd give 'em a call, right? Well, let me tell ya, I had to wait a whole 30 minutes on hold before someone finally picked up the darn phone.

Once I got through to 'em, they had the nerve to ask me to send 'em some photos of the issues I was havin'. Can you believe that? I mean, I ain't no professional photographer or nothin', but I did my best to snap some shots and send 'em over to their email.

Now, here's where things start to get real fishy. The advisor on the other end of the line starts tryin' to weasel their way out of coverin' my car. They start askin' me if I'm absolutely positive that these alloys haven't been fixed before. Well, let me tell ya, I made it clear as day that the cover was in place when the car was delivered to me, and it only had a measly 7 miles on the clock.

But get this, they finally take a look at the policy documentation and suddenly they realize that the damage looks like corrosion. Can you believe the nerve of these folks? They try to tell me that I ain't covered 'cause of some supposed corrosion. But let me tell ya, those scuffs on the alloys are from parkin' mishaps, plain and simple.

So, what do they do next? They tell me they gotta forward the whole thing to some so-called "expert." And get this, if this expert agrees with 'em, then no one's even gonna bother lookin' at the alloys, and my cover is gonna be completely invalid. Can you believe the audacity?

Let me just say, this whole experience was a complete rip off. I ain't never gonna deal with these folks again, that's for sure.

Car Care Plan Disappointing Car Care Plan: Useless Insurance and Inconsistent Measurements

Car Care Plan, the company that offers insurance for tyre damage, turned out to be quite a disappointment. I mean, seriously, what a waste of money! They claim to only cover damage and not wear, which is fair enough, I guess. But here's the thing: my tyres, as measured by the fancy Mercedes main dealer, were over 6mm on the inner, centre, and outer parts. However, Car Care Plan had the audacity to say that they don't measure the same way as everyone else, so they won't pay out. Can you believe it? According to some video provided by Mercedes, they miraculously managed to determine that the inner edge, where they measure, was less than 1.6mm! And get this, their email clearly stated that their limit was 2mm and the tyre just had to be legal. Talk about inconsistency!

Now, I didn't have high hopes for a policy like this to actually be claimable, and boy, was I right! Car Care Plan did not disappoint in that regard. Not only did I waste my hard-earned money on their useless insurance, but I also had to endure long waiting times just to get through to them. And all for the privilege of hearing their so-called logic. What a joke!

Car Care Plan Terrible Experience with Car Care Plan: False Claims and Poor Service

If I could give a zero, I would.

So, I bought this alloy wheel policy for my car, right? And after like 2 years, I had to make a claim 'cause there were these two tiny scratches on the rims. No biggie, I thought, 'cause I had another year left on the policy.

I went ahead and filed the claim, and guess what? They accepted it! But then, the technician showed up and everything went downhill from there. He had the nerve to say that the repair wouldn't be guaranteed, even though I still had a whole year left on the policy. And get this, he claimed there was corrosion on the wheel! Like, seriously? There ain't no corrosion, I can tell ya that.

So, he just bailed on the repair after wasting about 90 minutes of my precious time. And then, I get this email from Car Care Plan, saying they won't complete the repair 'cause of the so-called corrosion. I mean, come on! Take a look at the picture I sent 'em, and you'll see just how clean those wheels are.

Honestly, they took a bunch of my hard-earned cash for a policy that's worth squat. It's straight-up fraud, if you ask me.

Now, I gotta go through all the hassle of takin' this to the ombudsman. It's a pain in the neck, but it's worth it to make things right.

Listen up, folks. Don't trust this company, and definitely don't trust the decisions of Mariya Basat. She's just gonna mess things up even more.

Car Care Plan Extremely Poor Customer Service and Financial Issues with Car Care Plan Insurance

I don't even know where to begin. If I could put down no stars, rather than one, I would because this company is that poor.

Our car is due to be returned to the dealer in 40 days and I filed a claim to have the alloy wheels refurbished in early January. After waiting for written confirmation of a claim number and registered repairer instructions, it subsequently turned out the claim was "lost in the system" and I had to file again.

When I received an email acknowledgement referring to the claim, the email informed me that the alloy insurance underwriter, Elite Insurance, is having financial problems and is either about to go into receivership or is in receivership and we are backlogged in a queue for repairs through the insurer until at least May, which is after we will have returned the car. When I rang Car Care for more information, I was told that the owner of Car Care was releasing new claims to be handled in the order received and subsequent to payment by Elite for the claims processed thus far. At that moment, the customer service operator told me that they were nearly a year behind, so (basically) I was joining the queue.

In the course of trying to negotiate a more satisfactory outcome, I was lied to on the phone and via email by Car Care employees. Ultimately, I received an email instructing me to get a quotation for the four alloys to be repaired and that we will be "approved" for up to ?110 per alloy, including VAT for the repairs.

What they don't say is that we will have to front the money ourselves and become one of Elite Insurance's many creditors rather than being reimbursed for the work when we have it completed.

This is not something we expected when we took out the insurance policy and it's simply not a satisfactory outcome. These problems are not our problems and Car Care Plan should ultimately take responsibility for making sure its customers are being looked after properly.

We have informed Land Rover that Car Care Plan's policy isn't worth anything and they should stop selling it because the binding insurance agreement isn't worth the paper it's printed on.

I have also just filed a complaint with the Financial Conduct Authority's Ombudsman Service and advise anyone else who has had a similar experience to do the same because until such time companies like this will be allowed to operate unchecked and this kind of poor customer service will continue.

Alternatively, if you are considering taking out a policy with Car Care Plan, I would think again because there are a multitude of similar cases to ours, as you can see for yourself.

There's been an update:

Our complaint here got the attention of Care Care Plan and the administrators just after our review was posted here. After a flurry of emails, I can say that nothing has changed but in each exchange it was a bit like Groundhog Day. Each communication kept saying that we had two options: 1) to get a quote (which became two quotes as the communications continued) to be approved and get the work done independently, submit receipts to be paid at some point down the line, although never expressly communicated when; or 2) wait our turn and take the assigned slot which would take place once Car Care released our claim to the repairers on May 1st. In each instance, I wrote back and said that we wouldn't have the car in May and that now, with the amount of time that had passed, we didn't have time to organise the TWO quotations, the approvals and the work to be done before we returned the car. The only conclusion I can draw is that they were ringing the process out for as long as possible to avoid a satisfactory outcome for us, the customers.

The final email from the administrators actually offered us the option of complaining to the FCA, which we had already done, but it was said in a manner which implied they had done everything they could to satisfy an ornery customer rather than they'd played a crafty game which is what they did.
