Unreliable Seller on Carousell - Exercise Caution When Buying
I recently purchased an item through Carousell on a small website run by a user named janinemiqui. At the seller's request, I transferred the payment directly into their bank account despite my initial caution. This occurred on December 20th, 2020. Unfortunately, even after many attempts at contacting the seller through the site's chat function, my item never arrived. Although the cost was low, I was disappointed as the item was something I had really wanted. It was frustrating that the only means of communication was through the online chat feature, and eventually, the seller stopped responding entirely.
Feeling somewhat helpless, I reached out to Carousell's customer complaints department, who were empathetic but informed me that they had limited control over individual sellers. I kept on trying to get in touch with the seller, but all my efforts seemed to fall on deaf ears. Eventually, I grew tired of this treatment and threatened legal action.
It wasn't until three days after my legal threat that my merchandise finally arrived, even though the seller had claimed to have shipped it two weeks prior in their last chat message. Needless to say, I will avoid doing any further business with this particular seller and caution others to exercise extreme caution when browsing and purchasing items on the Carousell site.
Sadly, this experience has left me with doubts about the entire Carousell organization. Although Carousell staff were helpful and understanding, it was disheartening to learn that they were unable to provide stronger support towards ensuring a safe and hassle-free transaction for buyers.
Review of Carousell.com: Great for Selling but Beware of Bargain Hunters
I only recently made an account to sell some old things on carousell.com and I have found that it's a great way to let go of my preloved items or even sell new things. Although, I must admit that the experience has not been very entertaining since some buyers seem to ignore the fact that I mentioned the prices were fixed. They still try to bargain and haggle, which is quite frustrating.
I believe most of the things sold on carousell are already pretty cheap, and sellers can hardly make any profits out of them. Even after repeatedly asking buyers to rate me with a good smiley or bad sad emoji, nobody has done so. This is a shame because this feature could be used to help other members of the carousell community decide which sellers and buyers to deal with, especially if they are new to the online marketplace.
However, I must caution any seller who wants to use this platform to consider what kind of marketplace they are entering. Most people buying on carousell.com are looking for a bargain and are unwilling to pay the real value. So, if you want to sell on carousell, know that it is a place to get rid of things and create more space in your home rather than to make a profit, unless you are already an established shop or online store.
Overall, I still recommend carousell.com as a useful and convenient website to sell and buy items. While I have encountered some minor issues, they are not enough to outweigh the benefits of using the platform. Just be prepared for some cheap skates and know that it is primarily a place to declutter instead of making a lot of money.
Carousell Review: Disappointing Experience Selling and Buying Preloved Clothes
I heard about Carousell and decided to give it a try as I wanted to sell some preloved clothes. I uploaded roughly 8 items, all under $10 and was pleasantly surprised when I received a few likes almost immediately. However, after that, nothing seemed to happen. I kept getting notifications to come back and list more items but received no further interest in the things I had listed for sale.
In my search for potential items to purchase, I was disappointed to find that most of the listings were just ads from users trying to get me to check out their profile or asking if I wanted to swap items. It was frustrating to find actual things for sale, as many of the prices seemed quite high. I saw someone selling a used t-shirt for $45 - that seemed ridiculous to me!
After a while, I forgot about the items I had listed and didn't visit Carousell for a couple of months. I was surprised to receive an email from the site saying that my listings were going to be hidden due to inactivity. They said if I logged in, everything would reset and my listings would remain active. So I logged in and liked a few items, thinking that should be enough to keep my listings visible.
However, just a week later, I received another email saying that my items had been hidden due to inactivity once again. I was so frustrated - what was the point of even using this site? It felt like a complete waste of my time.
Overall, I don't think I would recommend Carousell to anyone who wants to sell their items quickly. It seems like there are too many ads and not enough genuine people looking to buy. The prices can be ridiculous, and the notifications about inactivity are so frequent and frustrating. I personally won't be using the site again.
Carousell: A Site Full of Scammers and No Help from Customer Service
I had a really horrible experience with Carousell. I bought a phone on the site all the way over in Australia and it turned out to be a scam. Turns out, there were four other buyers and sellers who also got scammed by the same person. To try to fix things, we all came together and reported the scammer to the police and Carousell. But, let me tell you, Carousell took FOREVER to respond. Every single time I reached out, their customer service replied with the same phrases: "WE TAKE YOUR MATTER SERIOUSLY," "WE ARE SORRY TO HEAR," "WE ARE LOOKING INTO IT," and "REPORT TO THE POLICE."
I kept insisting that I had already reported to the police, but I wasn't getting any kind of protection or compensation from Carousell for this happening on their site. The worst part? They did NOTHING.
But, after getting scammed, I became more experienced in being able to tell a genuine seller from a scammer. I started reporting many suspicious sellers that tried to scam me, but Carousell didn't do anything for a long time. It wasn't until I followed one seller for a couple of weeks that I noticed their account was suspended. I was right all along, but it took way too much effort to get Carousell to do something about it. They're toooooo concerned about losing out on any potential sellers or buyers.
I completely agree with "dorothy t" -- Carousell is full of scammers and the site doesn't care about their users. They only care about the money they're making. If you're thinking about buying anything valuable on Carousell, don't. It's not worth the risk. If anyone needs to verify my story or wants to contact other buyers/sellers that got scammed, just let me know.
Carousell Pro Business Account Review: Buyer Beware of Lackluster Support and Features
So, I got myself the pro business account in Carousell. Yeah, it's really supposed to be cool and all. But when I stumbled upon a feature that's not present in the service, I thought of asking their staff, Lay. And boy, was I entertained (I mean, frustrated) with his replies!
It's been two months since I raised my issue, and here's what Lay managed to communicate to me:
1) Carousell's protection is always on, and there's no way to turn it off (even if the option is there)
2) When I countered point 1, he gave me the typical "it might work if you restart your device or change browser" answer. But, nope, that didn't work at all.
3) When I fed him back with my response to point 2, he just repeated point 1. You talk about going nowhere, huh?
4) And then, he suggested that I contact the Apple store for this. Apple store? Really?
5) After getting really pissed off, I asked for a refund of what I paid for my subscription, but I was given a generic response that says refunds are not allowed.
And to top it all up, each of Lay's reply took 5 whole long days!
Look, Carousell, if you're gonna offer a product or service, make sure you provide all the features that you promised. And if a customer requests a refund, at least consider it. Saying no outright? That's just ridiculous.
So, if any of you guys are thinking of trying out Carousell's pro business account, really think twice. It might not be worth the risk.
Unfairly Suspended: My Frustrating Experience with Carousell
Listen up everyone, I'm here to vent about my experience with Carousell. Let me tell you, I am beyond angry right now. This whole ordeal started in the wee hours of the morning - around 3:40am to be exact. I haven't slept at all since then, because I just can't accept what has happened to me.
So, I was in the process of listing some items I wanted to sell, which isn't anything new for me. I've been a loyal Carousell user for the past five years, with a clean track record of 89 reviews - all 5/5 ratings from satisfied buyers and sellers. You could even say I'm a pro at this, except for what happened next.
I was suddenly bombarded by several suspicious accounts, trying to scam me. Obviously, I reported the issue to Carousell, thinking that was the right thing to do. But instead of thanking me for keeping their platform safe, they suspended my account without any prior warning or investigation.
Can you believe it? Three days of hard work, taking high-quality photos and writing detailed descriptions of my items, all gone to waste because of these scammers and Carousell's poor management! I love writing long descriptions, okay? It's my thing. And now, my account has been unfairly suspended, just like that.
I'm not gonna lie, I'm furious. Put yourself in my shoes - I need the cash. This is my side business, and with the pandemic going on, I'm not even working anymore. Carousell was my only hope, and now they've turned their back on me. It's shameful, really.
I'm so frustrated right now, I just want to curse. But I won't. I'll just say this - Carousell, you used to be reliable and helpful, but now you're just a mess. I've seen what other ex-users are saying about you, and I have to agree. You can go to hell for all I care. Goodbye, Carousell.
Carousell's Poor Response to Buyer's Scam Experience and Useless Review Policy
So, I went on Carousell to purchase a rug from seller (irugs). I made the purchase hoping for the best, but unfortunately, the product was nothing like what was advertised. It was of inferior quality with trimmings and material that was not as promised and it was seriously overpriced. What made it even worse is that the seller refused to take my return, even though it was clear that the rug I received was different from the one advertised. I'm not being a cheapskate here, I just wanted the lousy rug gone and my hard earned money back. But unfortunately, the seller had other plans.
I sent unequivocal evidence, with a side by side comparison of the actual product I received vs what was advertised, but the seller still refused to budge. This is where Carousell comes in. I contacted their support team, hoping they'd help me resolve the issue. But to my surprise, they dismissed all the photo evidence that I provided, saying that the seller had also provided evidence and my report was 'invalid'. How is that even fair? I was clearly scammed!.
To make matters worse, Carousell's silly review policy didn't help at all. They only allow reviews to be posted within 14 days and this is what the seller exploited. They only sent the lousy rug after 14 days, which meant I couldn't get my refund and I couldn't even leave an honest review about the product quality. Most of the reviews are about how 'friendly' the seller is, but honestly, who cares? The product was lousy and that's what matters the most.
As an active buyer and seller on Carousell, I am super disappointed and disgusted with their response. It's evident that their system aids scammers, and they need to look into this as soon as possible. I pointed out this loophole to their support team, but they conveniently did not address it. Carousell needs to step up their game and provide better support for their customers.
A Cautionary Tale: My Experience with Carousell Reviews and Trust Factor
On a personal note, let me tell you that I've been selling on Carousell for a few years now, and have received 500+ positive reviews. The experience that you get on Carousell, however, solely depends on the users themselves. The platform does not control the service or experience.
The customer service provided by Carousell is definitely far from stellar. Every time you need help regarding a transaction or a user's behaviour, you will receive a canned response that says their platform has no control over transaction experience. This response is not helpful at all, and that's especially true if a user leaves a terrible review for no reason. It's frustrating to receive the same default response every time, only to be no closer to a solution.
The trust factor is notoriously tricky on Carousell. Too many times, a buyer who shows interest in your authentic item might appear to be a scammer. You might offer to go boutique with them to verify authenticity, but they refuse. Later, they contact you to claim that you sold a fake item. These buyers most likely swapped out your real item for a fake, then demand a refund for the fake. This leaves them with the authentic item, along with your money. If you refuse the refund, the buyer might retaliate and leave you a bad review, or worst, make a police report over nonsense.
What can Carousell do? Sadly, not much. They will always come back to the golden rule of 'reviews are there to maintain platform integrity,' but in such cases, the buyers are the ones cheating you.
I have personally had my account restricted because of a buyer like this, and my years of building my reputation have gone to waste. Despite the submission of proof and other explanations, I have yet to receive a response from Carousell even after a week.
Therefore, it's essential to remember that when using Carousell, you must protect yourself. Don't get too attached to the platform's promises; it's more like a marketplace where everyone fends for themselves. Don't be too hopeful.
Carousell Review: The Best Secondhand Marketplace in Singapore, But Beware of Scammers!
Dude, if you're in Singapore, you gotta check out Carousell - it's rad! It's like a secondhand marketplace where people post stuff they wanna sell, and you can buy all sorts of cool stuff for cheap. The best part? There's no commission, so you get to keep all the moolah you make from selling your stuff.
But if you're not in Singapore, it's a different story. You might not get as many followers, which means it might take a looong time to sell your goods. And since there's no buyer protection program, people might be kinda skeptical about buying from you. Plus, watch out for scammers - they're EVERYWHERE on this site! They'll pretend to be from your area, but once they get your deets, they'll disappear into thin air.
But hey, don't let that scare you away! Carousell's got some really helpful tips on how to protect yourself while buying and selling on their site, so make sure to read up on those. And if you can do cash on delivery, that's even better - no need to worry about getting scammed online.
Overall, I gotta say, I'm a huge fan of Carousell. Sure, it's got its flaws (like, where's the wedding section, man?), but I think it's got the potential to be huge one day. And I love that they're promoting their stuff on Facebook and Instagram - it makes it easier for me to find cool stuff to buy!
Buyer Beware: My Unpleasant Experience with Carousell's Incompetent Support Team
I recently had an unpleasant experience with Carousell, an e-commerce platform that boasts about facilitating sales online. In fact, I am so unhappy with their service that I feel like giving them negative stars, if possible.
What went wrong, you ask? Well, for starters, their support team seems to be manned by a bunch of incompetents. I have received warnings from them despite being on the receiving end of nastiness from certain buyers. These buyers are the kind who talks $#*! behind the keyboard and thus do not understand the basic etiquette of online bargaining. They low-ball at ridiculous prices, despite me already listing the item for a fair price. Some even refuse to use the "Make an Offer" button, which results in frustrating messaging exchanges.
Initially, I thought Carousell's moderation team would step in and provide support by educating these buyers on how to use their system. But to my disappointment, nothing was done. Instead, Carousell allows these imbeciles to keep spamming my inbox with nonsensical messages. If I ignored them, my responsiveness ratings would be affected, and I would be penalized even though the buyers were the ones who were being unreasonable.
I voiced my frustrations to Carousell support, but all I received was an automated response. Seriously, do they even read our complaints? It seems like they do not, as they continue to send warnings without even understanding the context of the message exchanges between buyers and sellers.
Just recently, I received an email from Carousell alerting me of a user complaint against me for using "harassments, threats, vulgar language and offensive remarks." The accusation is false, of course, and the buyer was merely upset because my asking price did not meet his absurd expectations. He accused me of being "TERRRIBLE" because I did not respond to his unreasonable messages.
Now, here's the thing: Carousell's failure to moderate their platform has caused me to suffer unjust penalties. If they cannot differentiate between genuine complaints and petty ones, then their service is essentially useless. I would like to see them make some improvements by implementing measures that could educate new users on how to use their platform properly. For instance, they could remind users to use the "Make an Offer" button instead of going off-track with unreasonable demands.
In conclusion, I would like to warn others considering using Carousell to proceed with caution. If you are a potential seller, be prepared to face the onslaught of obnoxious buyers who do not know how to bargain. And if you find yourself in a sticky situation with Carousell support, do not expect any assistance beyond automated responses.

Carousell Review: Frustrating, Unreliable and Unfriendly Platform
I personally had a really bad experience with Carousell, and I had to stop using it for a number of reasons. First, their customer service is really bad - it takes forever to get a response from them, if you get one at all! It's frustrating when you have an issue that needs to be resolved quickly, but the platform's support team seems to be non-existent.
Secondly, there are way too many restrictions on what you can and can't do on Carousell. It seems like every time you try to list something or sell something, you run into some kind of roadblock. It's really annoying and makes the whole experience feel like a total waste of time.
Thirdly, the guidelines for listing and selling on Carousell are not clear at all. It's hard to know what's allowed and what's not allowed, because the platform doesn't do a good job of communicating the rules to its users.
But the worst part of Carousell is the fact that they are quick to suspend accounts for really small issues that are not valid reasons for suspension. It's like they don't care about their users, and they just want to punish them for any little mistake they make.
And don't even get me started on the rating system - I had a positive rating removed for no valid reason, and I didn't get any information about why it was removed. It's like Carousell just wants to make things as difficult as possible for its users.
Overall, I would not recommend Carousell to anyone. It's a really frustrating and non-user-friendly platform that seems to be more concerned with punishing its users than helping them. If you're looking for a better buying and selling experience, I suggest you look elsewhere.
My Frustrations with Carousell: Unresponsive Buyers and Restricted Access
My experience with Carousell hasn't been the best lately. My account got restricted access about a month ago and I still can't figure out why. It's frustrating and makes me feel like I'm being punished for something I didn't do.
Aside from that, I've come across all sorts of buyers on this platform. Some of them like to haggle and offer prices that are 70% lower than what I'm asking for. Others will make an offer and then disappear once you accept it. It's like they're playing a game or something.
Then, there are the buyers that ask for "worn photos, more photos, exact measurements," only to disappear after all that effort without even a simple "thank you." It's downright disrespectful in my opinion.
I had one buyer that asked for a 5-day reservation because she wasn't getting paid until her payday. Then, she wanted another 5 days because she couldn't leave work due to her busy schedule. And after all that waiting, she became unresponsive and didn't even bother to let me know why. When I left her a negative review, she reported me instead of acknowledging her own flakiness.
Overall, I'm not impressed with how Carousell handles these kinds of situations. It seems like they're more interested in protecting buyers than sellers, which puts us at a disadvantage. I hope they step up their game and start holding all users accountable for their actions.
Trouble in Paradise: My Experience with Carousell's Flawed System
)
Carousell used to be one of the best online marketplaces out there. It was simple, easy to use and had a wide selection of items from various sellers. However, I've noticed a few glitches in the system that are slowly affecting my experience.
For one, their selection process for promoting high-quality sellers seems to be flawed. Despite having a top rating and being highly active on the platform, my account never ends up being promoted for sales or other promotions. In fact, I've noticed that my items don't even get viewed as much as they used to. It's frustrating because I know my products are great, but they're not getting the exposure they deserve.
To make matters worse, I upgraded my account recently and lost some of the functionality and access to groups. This makes it harder for me to connect with other sellers and buyers and limits my ability to expand my business on the site.
Customer service is also disappointing. Their response times are slow, and I've had to wait up to a week for each reply. It's frustrating because when there's an issue, I want it resolved quickly.
All in all, unless Carousell fixes these glitches, it's bound to lose users like me who are seeking a more efficient and reliable platform to sell and buy their items. It's a shame because I used to love using the site, but now I'm not so sure.

Carousell's Strict Duplicate Listing Policy & Favoritism Towards Sellers
Carousell is a super cool website that I’ve used before and I gotta say, it’s an awesome platform for selling all sorts of stuff. But I’ve been having some issues with them lately, they are wayyyy too strict when it comes to duplicate listings. Don’t get me wrong, I respect their policies and all, but I accidentally made a duplicate listing and even though I took it down as soon as I found out, my account still got suspended for it!
Here’s the thing though, I’ve seen a lot of other sellers on there who seem to be breaking the rules too. They’ll put a bunch of irrelevant keywords in their listings so that when people search for popular brands, their listings pop up. I mean, that’s against Carousell’s own rules but when I reported those listings, the admins came back and said that they weren’t breaking any rules at all. It’s like they’re playing favorites or something! Makes me feel like they’re nitpicking everything that I do while cutting other sellers some slack.
Carousell's Customer Service was Disappointing and Unhelpful: My Frustrating Experience
I recently had a really frustrating experience using Carousell. Honestly, their customer service is just plain bad, if you ask me. Out of the blue, my account was completely removed and I wasn't given any explanation as to why. I was really upset about it, so I sent an email to their customer service team. But let me tell you, they take ages to reply. And even when they finally do reply, they're not much help.
Now, I want to be clear that I totally understand why my account may have been restricted in the past. I had sold a few things that were not allowed on the platform, so I knew I had to be careful moving forward. And I was! I never sold anything prohibited again. But for some reason, my account was restricted again recently.
When I reached out to customer service about this, all they kept telling me was that my account had been restricted and couldn't be recovered. They didn't even bother to investigate or try to help me figure out what was going on. And all their email replies were just copy and paste responses! I mean, come on, Carousell, don't be lazy.
At this point, I was extremely disappointed with the whole experience. It's so frustrating to not be able to get any help or explanation from customer service. All I wanted was for them to investigate the issue so we could figure out what was going on. But nope, nothing.
Let me just reiterate that I'm not a scammer, and I definitely didn't sell anything prohibited this time around. So it's really frustrating to have my account restricted without a good reason. Honestly, the whole thing just left a really bad taste in my mouth.
Disappointed with Carousell's Support: Unable to Remove Negative Feedback
I had a bit of a problem with Carousell recently. I bought something from a seller, but it turned out to be faulty. I tried to return it and get a refund, but that didn't work out. So, I thought the least I could do was leave some feedback to let other buyers know what happened.
But then, I changed my mind. I didn't want to leave a positive review for someone who sold me something that didn't work. So, I contacted Carousell support and asked them to remove my feedback. They said they would, but nothing happened.
I tried again and still nothing. I searched online to see if there was a way to remove it myself or change it, and I found someone who claimed to have done it before. But when I tried, it didn't work. Maybe Carousell had changed the way things worked?
To make things worse, the seller changed his profile picture and name. He used to have his real name, but now he goes by "paris.co". I wouldn't be surprised if he changes it again soon enough. It's frustrating because I feel like he's getting away with something.
I decided to write about my experience on Carousell and let others know what happened. But then, my post got removed - twice! I suspect it was the seller who reported me because it was a negative review. It's frustrating to feel like I can't even talk about what happened on the platform without being censored.
Overall, I'm pretty disappointed with Carousell's lack of action and the fact that my voice wasn't heard. I hope other buyers are able to have better experiences than I did.
Carousell's Customer Service is Slow and Inefficient: A Review of My Defective Item Experience
I bought an item on Carousell and it turned out to be defective when I gave it a try. The seller who goes by the username "minimallclutter" and is located in Taguig City, never replaced the item and instead told me that it was his first time dealing with such a problem. But why oh why? Isn't it the seller's job to make sure the item is working properly before selling it? It's pretty much common sense, right? Since then, I've been calling and texting the guy but I haven't received a response from him. Worst of all, Carousell's customer service did not provide me with the resolution I was looking for. All they did was to put a restriction between me and the seller and claimed that they cleared his listings. But when I checked his listings, they weren't cleared at all. What kind of solution is that?
I understand that Carousell is a platform for buying and selling items. It should be a place where buyers and sellers can conduct their business smoothly without any trouble. That's why I reported the issue to Carousell but the response was really slow. I don't understand why it's taking too long for them to resolve such a simple issue. They even had the audacity to ask me for a review of their customer support even though they haven't resolved the issue yet.
I believe that Carousell should mediate and do the right thing for the buyer after receiving a defective item. It's not too much to ask for, isn't it? They should have been more proactive in resolving the issue rather than just putting restrictions and claiming that they cleared the seller's listings. I hope that Carousell will take this issue seriously and make some improvements to their customer service. As a buyer, I deserve to have a smooth and hassle-free transaction.
Carousell Review: A Disaster of Fake Items and Technical Issues
So, I'm gonna share my opinion on this Carousell site. I wrote about it like 9 or 10 months back and lemme tell you that the buyers, sellers, and the site's owner were doing terrible. The situation hasn't gotten any better since then. I mean, it's just out of control with fake and counterfeit items, and it seems like the owners don't care anymore. They're probably too busy, you know. Honestly, they should've handled this from the start. But it's just my experience, so it's subjective, right?
Okay, so let me give you an update on the technical side. It's still a mess. I have unread messages in my inbox that I've already seen. I keep logging in for absolutely no reason, and it's really annoying. Plus, I get error and "timed-out" messages even when I'm just doing simple things. And don't even get me started on uploading pictures on my phone. It takes forever and makes me wanna scream.
I could rant forever, but you get what I'm saying. It just doesn't matter if you're a user or someone who cares about ethics and the no-fake policy. The whole site is a disaster. Come on, Carousell, wake up and build something that actually works and is worth using. Quit cluttering up the internet.
Scam Alert: Carousell's Lack of Customer Protection Led Me to Lose Money and Get Scammed
I gotta be real with ya, Carousell was a complete disaster for me. Let me tell ya what happened. I was browsing for a new phone and decided to go with an iPhone 7 128GB RED from the user 'heyitsfaby' based in Australia. Here's the thing, Carousell had this user as VERIFIED so I thought, "heck ya, this is a safe bet." So, I transferred the money directly into this user's bank account. Bad move. I never actually received the phone and, to make matters worse, their account was suspended not long after. Ya know what that means? Ya guessed it, a SCAM.
Now, here's where things really chapped my hide. I've tried to get in touch with Carousell through email dozens of times regarding this situation and they haven't replied a single time. What kind of customer service is that? Not only that, but they continue to verify users who are fraudulent and create these vicious scams. I'm not the only one dealing with this, either. There are thousands of young folks like me who are getting burned by Carousell and that's just not okay.
Let's talk about the real issue at hand. Carousell needs to step up their game and actually have some guidelines and policies in place that protect their customers. Right now, their so-called fact sheet about "beware of dodgy dealers" is a complete joke. It's not enforceable and certainly not effective.
If you don't wanna end up in my shoes, I'd say to avoid Carousell at all costs. Stick with more reputable online shopping sites like ebay or Amazon that have actual measures in place to protect their customers. Don't fall for Carousell's so-called "verified" users and end up throwing your hard-earned cash down the drain like I did.
Buyer Beware: Carousell is a High-Risk Site for Shopping Mobile Phones
Carousell is a pretty risky site to use, particularly if you are shopping around for mobile phones, as there are many scam artists who are exploiting the system's lack of governance. A lot of these scammers will lure unsuspecting buyers in with incredibly cheap prices, only to suddenly stop responding to messages after payment has been made. Moreover, they will not deliver the goods that you paid for, leaving you with no way to contact anyone for assistance.
Unfortunately, the site lacks proper customer support channels, meaning that sellers can get away with their scams scot-free. One thing that really irks me is that the system does not automatically delete old listings, which leaves a lot of old, outdated, or downright fraudulent items still on the platform. Often times, even if you file a complaint or report an incident via their messaging system, nothing happens - and even if you were savvy enough to use a secure form of payment like PayPal, it can take up to three weeks to see your money back.
This is not a one-off experience - I have seen plenty of scammers on this platform, and have even fallen victim to one of them myself. Despite filing multiple reports and complaints, the fraudulent account is still active on the site. While there are a few genuine sellers who are just trying to get rid of old stuff or make an honest buck, it's not worth the high level of risk and stress that comes with using this site. Bottom line: forget Carousell and try somewhere else instead.
