4 months ago, I booked flights through Flights by Celebrity and was told that the TOTAL price was $327.10 for both my husband and I. I thought WOW, how affordable! I had just paid just over $500 for 2 tickets to Miami in April and thought it would be hard to find cheaper tickets, so I opted to book flights through F/C, precisely because the TOTAL fare was so affordable. Shortly after booking, I received confirmation from Jet Blue with ticket information for BOTH my husband and I. I also received an updated invoice from Celebrity with my entire cruise booking, which listed the TOTAL airfare for $327.10. Then, yesterday, I called Celebrity to see if I had remembered to book a transfer and the agent said that there was only one flight booked. She transferred me to F/C and they confirmed that I had indeed booked two tickets, but that I had not booked a transfer. I authorized booking a transfer for $18.95 pp and Celebrity emailed an updated invoice. However, I noticed that the price on the invoice had increased by roughly $365.00. an Additional charge of $327.10 had been added - which I had not authorized. After several calls to F/C, where several the calls turned into shouting matches because the agents would constantly interrupt me and try to talk over me while I tried to explain that I was not aware that the cost of the flight was only half of what it should have been. They refused to own up to the fact that F/C had created the issue because they had made the billing error. One of them actually told me that it was my responsibility to inform them of their billing errors, as if I had even been aware that they had made one. In addition, I researched the cost of the exact same flight through a travel site which was $262.11 pp. F/C is now refusing to remove the additional $327.10 and they are refusing to honor their lowest fare guarantee by refunding me the difference in the cost of the tickets.
Desired outcome: Remove the additional $327.10 or honor your lowest fare guarantee by refunding me the difference in the cost of the tickets.
