I am trying to resolve an issue with a credit card hold on my Celebrity Cruises onboard account. Celebrity put a $200 hold on my credit card but did not release it when the correct amount was charged a few days later at the end of the cruise. When I contacted them they said it could take up to 30 days to be removed.
After 30 days had passed I contacted them again and was told there was nothing they could do and that it was a problem with my credit card bank.
When I initiated a dispute with the credit card company, they advised me to obtain a copy of my account statement. I requested the statement via the email address on Celebrity's website ([protected]@celebrity.com), When it hadn't arrived after a week I sent a 2nd request. It came back to me as undeliverable mail.
After an additional week I called the phone number given on the Celebrity website [protected]). I made the request and was advised to allow 24 hours for the account to be emailed. After 24 hours had passed and the information had not been received I called again. When I reached the account statement choice on the phone menu, I received a message saying my phone number had been reported as spam and would not connect me.
Claimed loss: $200.00
Desired outcome: Credit place on my credit card.
