bad service
good morning...howz life? hope everyone's life is good, , , , because mine is soooooooooo bad and depressing
because i bought Chevrolet optra here in Egypt...
first of all, , , i got this car 2 years ago, , , its a great car, , powerfull, stable, , strong breaks...i liked everything about it...and just trusted the logo GM ...but the service center here in Egypt is destroying everything...
i own 3 cars ( aveo, and 2 optra), , and i think i'll sell them, and try another brand other than GM ... another brand that would respect the clients and know how to fix and make service to there cars...because GM services here in Egypt don't know how to fix, make service, or even respect the clients...
Advice to everyone, , , , please don't ever think about buying GM here in Egypt, , if you want to be treated well, get good service, and be safe, don't buy GM cars, because the service centers are professionals in collecting money and destroying your cars, and make your life bad...
if anyone interested in details, , , here's my E-mail : dr.[protected]@yahoo.com
i have copies of all the documents and all the money i paid, and all the time i waited( 40 days, just to make the 80, 000 km service! and still the cars is sooooooooo bad) just please contact me...

nothing, but problems
I have owned a 2003 Chevy Silverado, and I have had all the same problems as others have had. I have a bad problem with gauges in my truck, I have a bad hub bearing which is making the ABS light come on, I have bad squeaking under my truck, I have a few steering problems also, my truck is getting up there in miles but after reading many complaints on the internet by people with all the same problems regardless of how many miles are on this vehicle, it is clear to me that all the problems I have will consist on all the vehicles that people have all around, these are all safety concerns and should be addressed before Chevy gets a bad name. I love the truck but these problems are all coming about just like others that had complaints.

I had purchased Beat in May-11 and registration number is HR 03M 5824. First 1000 Km check was done at Aravali Auto, Plot no. 66 IDC, Mehrauli Road, Gurgaon on 28-May-11. After service I notice that ignition symbol did not disappear after start. I immediately bring into their attention and they rectified it and told me that this is because of software problem. It seems that without proper check they deliver vehicle to customer.
Few day it work fine but on 6th day (5-Jun-2011) car did not start and I contacted to Aravali Auto and they told me that technician will come to your place and this service is chargeable. I was not having any option except to agree on this.
After continues calls their technician come and he checked my car for an hour and told me to drop vehicle to service center. He gave me crane operator number and told me that I have to bear the cost of Rs.1500 as crane fee. Again I was not having any option except to agree.
I paid Rs. 1500 to crane operator to drop my car to Aravali Auto and dropped car at Aravli Auto on 5-Jun-2011.
They promised me deliver car on next day (6-jun-2011). But when I contact them they told me that it seems its manufacture issue and it will take some more time and agreed to deliver on next day.
Now Each time I call them, they are giving me different excuse like “It seems manufacture problem”, “checking assembly line problem”, “Checking fuel pump ”, ”Checking wire connections”, “Checking software problem”.
It’s been more than three days and they are not able to resolve the issue. I am facing lot of inconvenience due to not having car.
I made more than 20 calls to get the status but each time I got the answer “We are working on your car and need more time”.
After three days they are not in condition to tell me when issue will be fixed.

I met with an accident on 24th nov 2010 at 1.00 am. Kept calling the customer helpline number but there was no support from there side. I somehow managed to get my Car towed back to chandigarh at my own cost. Dynamic motors promised me the delievery within next 20 days, however they gave it to me after 35 days despite the fact that i called them everyday for the same and they kept fooling me around on behalf of delayed delievery of parts. They delievered me the car and asked me to come back for a checkup after 1000 kms, however my car got overheated within 400 kms and when i asked the service incharge about what is happening he replied that do not contact anybody else for this and get the car back to us anyhow. I again get it towed back to chandigarh on my own cost. They changed the hot gas kit and gave my car back to me with POOR PERFORMANCE, MISSING AND TIGHT STEERING. EVEN THE CLUTH AND ACCELERATOR WERE IN POOR CORDINATION. And now when i again complained about the same they give no ###ING reply. nOW THEY SAY UR CARS ENGINE HAS TO BE OVERHAULED AT YOUR OWN COST. wHAT THE ### MAN, THEY WANT ME TO GET MY CARS ENGINE DONE WITHIN 5 MONTHS OF PURCHASE. I have an UVA, a BEAT and was even Planning to buy a Cruse, however Now this incident would not even have an impact on my future purchase also if i dont get a satisfactory reply, i am planning to hit consumer court for the same.

chevrolet cruze noise
Dear Sir,
First, I hope you take this complaint seriously.
I bought Chevrolet Cruze in January from ' Mansor Chevrolet'
(The Egyptian agent) Nasr City Branch - Egypt.
Since I bought it I heard loud noise in the engine whether the car is
moving or standing still (while the engine is on).
When I went to the agent, they inspected the car but they couldn't
figure out the reason for that noisy noise.
Afterthat, they told me that the Cruze version of Chevrolet has this
defect and that this noise cannot be overcomed.
Is there a solution for this problem? knowing that this noise is not a
bearable noise.
I hope you consider my complaint and send me your reply as soon as
possible please.
Best Regards,
Dr. Yousry Abdel Mohsen

water leak in 2008 malibu ltz
I went to Tom Peden in 2007 and spoke with a salesman and told them I was preapproved for loan through my bank for a car. I told him I wanted a black Malibu LTZ and to call me when they got one in. More than a year later, I still had not received a call. One day as I was headed to His and Her Day Spa in the summer of 08, I saw a black Malibu LTZ parked at the front of the lot. I stopped, told them I wanted it, paid a deposit and finished the rest of my tasks for the day. Later that evening, I went back and bought the car. I bought a BRAND NEW 08 Chevy Malibu LTZ.
Right away, I noticed a noise coming from the rear of the vehicle. I took it to Tate-Porter and the service manager took it for a test drive. When he returned, he told me the door panel had a clip that was not clipped and he fixed it. We had noticed many times were we had to push the cover back on the rear side of the console because it would always come out. A few weeks later, my daughter was sitting in the back seat and put her drink in the rear drink holder. She grabbed the drink just before it took a plunge into the floor. I took the car back to Tate-Porter. Many times, they just pushed it back in. Eventually (almost two years later) they told me the clips were missing that holds the panel onto the console. They ordered the piece and put it in. I took the car to them many times because the foam insulation around the back glass kept coming loose and sticking up in the rear glass. They just shoved it back down in countless times and never replaced it - although it was obvious that the sticky tape was not working. At this time, the foam still sticks up in my back glass.
After a few months I felt water dripping on my legs when I was driving. The service manager at Tate-Porter told me it was condensation from the air conditioner and it was normal. Then in the winter, water began pouring in through my overhead lights. I took it back to Tate-Porter, & the service manager instructed me not to wash the vehicle because this is what caused the leak. They took a paper towel and swiped the lights, dash, and console. DONT WASH THE CAR - PROBLEM SOLVED. I have owned many vehicles and washed them all year round and never once had one leak because I washed it.
After many ignored complaints and failure to provide service for the water leaks, my car finally malfunctioned. I could push the gas pedal all the way to the floor and the car would not exceed 40 miles per hour. I called Todd at Tate-Porter and told them all the codes the car was displaying and was asked to bring the car in. I took it and dropped it off. Later, I get a call from Todd in the service department. He said my car's computer had been flooded with water and it had shorted out causing it to malfunction and was the cause of the problems. (DUH! I HAD KEPT TELLING HIM IT HAD A FLIPPIN WATER LEAK AND HE KEPT TELLING ME NOT TO WASH IT!) He said they were fixing the computer issue and he would have to make an appointment on Wednesday for the "water doctor" to look at my car because they do not handle those types of water leaks in the service department.
Again, I took my car and dropped it off. The "water doctor" informed me and Todd that the plastic end cap on the track of my sunroof was missing which was causing the water to drain inside the car, rather than draining down the drain tubes. I TOLD THEM IT WAS LEAKING INSIDE THE CAR! The water doctor said he installed the plastic end cap, replaced the soaked carpet padding and fixed the water leak. I got in my car to drive away when I noticed the kick plates on the sides of the floor pan where scratched all up. I told them they needed to replace them because it wasn't like that when I dropped it off. They had to order the parts, and again, I had to drop my car off to have them installed.
Sometime later I was driving and the water came out from under the steering wheel and leaked onto my legs while I was driving again. Again, I called Tate-Porter's service manager and I told him it was not air conditioner weather and asked him what the issue was and how can it be fixed. Their service manager (Todd) told me not to wash my car. This past Thursday, I was driving my car after work down I-77 to 7th street when water came pouring out from under my steering wheel onto my legs. I was finally pissed! I called Tate-Porter at 5:35 and asked for Todd, the service manager. The salesman informed me that the service department leaves at 5:00 on Fridays. So I asked him if I brought my car to the lot if he would just document that he saw and could verify that my car was raining on the inside on my legs. Evidently, my frustration was amusing to him. The salesman put me on speaker phone and three of them stood around the phone laughing as I complained about buying a $30, 000 car only to be told not to wash it. I told them I had not washed it and the car had been parked for the three weeks prior to that day. The salesmen told me not to bring it to them because they could not document anything and I needed to come in on Saturday and see Todd. I then called Chevy Customer Service (where I'm sure I received India) and my case was escalated to a higher representative who should be calling me back on Monday.
Saturday, I took my car to the service department and spoke with Todd about scheduling another appointment to fix my "water leak" as the salesmen instructed. Todd said he thought that the drain tube was disconnected. He said in the winter when water gets in there and freezes and thaws and refreezes and re-thaws, it eventually works the drain tube off and then the water leaks inside the car. On the way across the parking lot to get my VIN and to tag my vehicle, guess what he did? He seriously looked at me and asked, "Well, did you wash it?" I told him to "Look at it! IT'S FLIPPIN FILTHY! NO, I DIDN'T WASH IT." As amused as I'm sure he was when I left, I was furious! He had scheduled an appointment for the "water doctor" to diagnose my car and I was to bring it back for Wednesday.
When Chevy called me on Monday, the higher representative said they would check into the situation and contact the dealership and follow up with my case. She then called me back and told me that she would contact me after the appointment on Wednesday. On Wednesday, the water doctor called and told me the drain tube had come unplugged and caused the water to leak inside the car. The water doctor said they reattached the tube and replaced the padding in the car because it was wet again. Chevy Customer Service called me and said the service manager at Tate-Porter had assured him that the vehicle was fixed. When I went to pick the car up that night, the service department was closed. I got in the car to leave when I noticed my heater had been running at 90 degrees that day (obviously to dry the car) and a terrible mildew, musty smell. IT WAS MY FLIPPIN CAR! I asked the salesman (Bob Nelson) to smell the vehicle so he could tell them it stinks. He did and would not comment. I asked for the paperwork to note what had happened and that I was not satisfied with the vehicle.
The next morning, I called Chevy Customer Service again. They actually told me I had to work with Tate-Porter and the service department to get the issue resolved! hahahahahaha. Lots of things have happened since then and Mark Porter himself has called me to try to assist in making this right. He has instructed Todd to order me all new carpet and carpet padding for my car to make it smell good again. Mark also said if the leak isn't fixed, he will work with Chevy to obtain a more satisfying solution for me. Hopefully that means to take the piece of crap back!
I have told Chevy and Tate-Porter's service manager, Todd, that I have bought six vehicles from that lot, four of which were brand new. And if this is the best they can treat me, I would never buy another FLIPPIN Chevy as long as I live. . . After I told Chevy Customer Service if they brought me the keys to a brand new Corvette Z06 and said its mine and its free, I would set the flippin’ thing on fire and watch it burn while they stood in my driveway. I also told her I would just go buy a Toyota next time. She asked me if I would seriously by a Toyota with all of the problems they are having. I asked her what she meant. She said with the recalls because of the gas pedal sticking. I said, “So. I will get there a little faster and I will still be dry when I get there.” Hahahaha. Chevy closed my case and noted it "No way to obtain customer satisfaction". LOL! YA THINK!? They could if they would take the piece of crap back.
Anyway, I only posted this because I told Chevy Customer Service and Todd at Tate-Porter Chevrolet that until the day I die, I will tell everyone I meet or know how I was treated in this ordeal. I asked Todd if he realized what an idiot he looks like when I tell everyone he keeps telling me not to wash my car in order to solve my water leak issue. It seemed he didn't mind much. I told them I work at DuPont and I have my own business and my fiancée has his own business, as does my mother. And we will all tell everyone about this experience until they make it right! Oh, and by the way. . . If it isn't fixed and Chevy won't take it back, can you say: ATTORNEY, LEMON LAW, and PRODUCT LIABILITY? Until then, if you see a black Chevy Malibu with a driver in a rain suit while driving the car, or an umbrella up inside the car, that will be me. Wave and honk as you pass by. If I wanted to get wet when driving a vehicle, I would have just bought a crotch rocket street bike instead of a MALIBU!

I have a 2009 Chevy Malibu and have horrible problems with my sun roof. I've had it six times and have spent over $1000 on this problem in the 2 years I've had it. The inside of my car is covered in water stains. When I asked what I could do to stop they proble I was told there is nothing you can do. Now I have so much moister In my car that it could
Possibly mold!
I'm currently experiencing the same thing with my 2011 Chevy Malibu LTZ, did you all ever find out what was going on with your vehicles?
I also own a 2008 Chevy Malibu Black with the same water leak issue. After numerous dealership repair attempts with no resolution, filed a lemon law complaint and provided the required 'final repair attempt' to GM. During this final repair attempt the noted the following: Sunroof drain tubes were too short to fully seat in the sunroof assembly and body together. Extensions to the drain tubes were installed and the vehicle was returned to me. They may have finally fixed the defect, but the water damage and the mold/mildew odor is a permanently devalue the vehicle. I have an arbitration hearing with the Better Business Bureau/FL Attorney Generals and I that is scheduled for April 5th. Please contact me if I can provide assistance with your complaint. joshcombs48@gmail.com

non delivery of chevrolet beat
I have booked Chevrolet Beat on 08/01/2010 & paid advance of Rs.30, 000/- to your dealer in India
Talera Motors Pvt. Ltd., 1115, Ganeshkhind Road, Shivajinagar Pune. 411 007 Maharashtra. India
Tel. 020-[protected] Email: [protected]@taleraauto.com
Again on 12/01/2010, I paid the balance amount of Rs.4, 13, 616/- towards full & final payment.
I was promised the delivery of the vehicle on 16/01/2010 since I wanted to gift to my parents on their wedding anniversary on 16/01/2010
Again I was promised the delivery on 18/01/2010, but I have not received the same till this date. (20/01/2010)
I had booked this vehicle considering the brand name of General Motors all across the globe.
The delay in delivery has caused mental stress & disbelief in General Motors.
I hope you consider this situation seriously
Earlier, I had booked Maruti Estillo by paying an advance, which subsequently I cancelled when “Chevrolet Beat” was introduced in India.
I had complained this to Chevrolet Sales India - Gurgaon but they no action has been taken against the respective dealer
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I agree. GM cars are good but their dealers wear an attitude that says, " may be GM manufactures the cars but we are the ones that decide what you get". I had a similar situation with GM's dealer in Pondicherry, Aakash Automobiles (Pvt.) Ltd. But their Service unit 'seems' to make up for the sales division's shortcomings.
Good you have taken the time to stand up to the cause of GM clients and even to instruct GM. There are other GM-clients agrieved by GM's dealers (like Aakash Automobiles (Pvt.) Ltd., Pondicherry) right at the start of their relationship with GM. They are the factors that would create massive loss to GM by way of negative marketing. - JCPR
Same problem. I had booked Spark 1.0 PS on 23/05/2010. I was promised delivery on 28/05/2010. Till date [protected]) I have not got the delivery of my car. From 01-06-2010 the road tax has been doubled in delhi. When I asked who will bear those charges respose was "Obviously the Client". My car was booked at AutoVikas Moti Nagar New Delhi. Earlier I was going to book the Santro xing but due to the offers I got hooked to the Spark.
Can any one tell me where to complaint
Amit Jain
me too having same problem.i booked beat LT black on 26 jan at deedi motors trivandrum. they promised delivery in 1 month. but only after a long 77 days they called me and said the car is ready. now the price is increased by 5k rs and they want me to pay the new price. so due to delay from the company's side in delivery they need me to pay this WAITING CHARGE!
any body had such experience from dealers?
Same problem with myself...booked on 21/1/2010...promised 1-2 week delivery... Still not received...called, emailed but poor response... at last i received an information from customer care, because several companies with drew cars, GM due to quality issue, had to re-look on ABS which took time...Now promise moved to april 15. Mr.Karl is un-fit for managing GM India...Funny man for the Top Post..
I strongly agree since I am facing same situation even after writting to customer care, no satfisfactory reply given by them towards my e mails which in my opinion is a forum of so called customer care of General Motors-India. After promising by the delivery of vehicle in last week of feb 2010 by dealer I have been denied for delivery and also dealer have no commitment for expected date of delivery. Now finally I am waiting for the action, if any, by GM-India otherwise change my plan not to go with GM-India brands of vehicle when they cannot full fill their commitment before sale what will happen to after sale by considering it as a prime issue . Definetly I will purchase the trusted brand vehicle readily available in the market with whom I have associated since Last Two Decades.
Disgusting... Is what i would say..I booked a Beat with Trident Automibiles in Bangalore, 2 days after their soft launch in Delhi Auto expo. The Cheque was given on 9th January 2010 and clear in next day. delivery was promised on 1/22 that is before 26th january. I have sold my car last month assuming the delivery be on time.
Now its 45 days and counting, NO NEWS.. The dealer never calls me, its me following up all the time AND even now no assurance given (always some excuse around prodcution issues, color not available, on the way...despatched but not arrived, terrorist attack in Pune).
the GM and Chevy Brand is taking a beating again...with this beat.. And ironically, i am expending daily 500rs to commute now that i don't have a car. Leave alone the trauma of not getting car delivered for husband as his Birthday gift.
I don't even know whom to escalate this to. GM or Chevy do not have any pre-sales support, is anyone listening.. and more importantly do these guys care?
I would like to bring to your notice that my Dad has booked the Chevy Beat LT Green colour at your Kannur, Kerala Agent ( German Motors) on 11/1/2010. The details are as follows
The executive of the above said show room promised that, they can deliver the vehicle within 10 days ( i.e on 21/1/10). Again on 21st they assured they will give the delivery on 23rd. On 23rd Jan’10, their executive called up and informed that you have to wait for another 15-20 days. If they are giving this type of false promise and commitment, the reputation of GM /Chavy will go off.
I am unable to get the customer care number or e-mail address. Can anyone give me information on this?
Same problem here.
Dealer - Regent Chevrolet, Mathura Road
Booking Date - 20/01/2010
Initially promised - one week
Promise after down payment - 15 days
Latest Status - Clueless.
Excuses - non production/less production/ transit delays/ non allocation etc. Ive been fed the entire range. Its disheartening to see people with earlier bookings still awaiting their delivery. I cannot imagine how an already drowning company is affording such high handedness with customers.
I am seriously mulling cancelling the booking. Any body has any idea about charges deductible? I dont wanna pay anything extra since i am anywyz going to book some other car.
Update: the dealer himself wants to cancel the booking. Its probably a supply side problem. If this is how it is beginning, I shudder to think about the future service capabilities.
shame on these dealers...
I also booked Chevrolet Beat on 13/01/2010, paid adcance 3 lack to Regent Automobiles, Faridabad. and was promised to get delivery by 25/01/2010.
bu till (01/02/2010) nowI do not hve ay informatin that when i'll be getting my vehicles delivery.
some of the dealers are spoiling reputation of the company name.

Read full review of Chevroletvehicle repair
On Saturday August 8, 2009 my car broke down in Lansing Michigan which is about 40 miles from my home. I called AAA to have it towed. The tow guy said it would cost approximately $300.00 to have the car towed to Jackson so I asked home to tow it to a local dealer in town. We both agreed on BUD KOUTS Chevrolet. On Monday August 10, 2009 I called Bud Kouts to confirm that the Chevy Blazer was mine and I needed the car fixed. I explained that I had just got the car out of the shop on August 7, 2009 and it seemed to have the same problem as it had before. I told him they had just fixed the fuse block and repaired some wires. The repair manager said he would look into it and let me know. He then took some information about me over the phone and told me it would be $200.00 just to look at it. I told him I thought that was a bit high and he asked if I wanted him to look at it or not. I said yes and he said he would let me know what the issue was. On August 11, 2009 I called to see about my car and the repair manager said they had not gotten to it yet. I asked if he would call and let me know when it was fixed. On August 12, 2009 I called to see about the car. The manager said the repair guy was fixing it as we sopke. I asked what was the problem and how much was it, he said he couldn't say, but it would probably be around $350.00. I was shocked. I asked him how could he know that, he said the guy is working on the car now. The repair manager then said he would call me back. The repair manager called aback about two hours later and said the car was fixed. I asked him what had been wrong, he said the mechanic had to move some wires on the fuse block. I asked him how much the cost was and he said $349.30. I asked him why since they had not replaced a part, and he said because it took the mechanic four hours to fix the car. I said it took him four hours to move some wires. He snickered and said yes. I then asked to speak to the manager. He said he was the manager. He asked when I would pick up the car and I told him on Thursday. On Thursday I went to get the car and asked to speak to the owner or head supervisor. The staff said they were busy. I waited 15minutes and then asked again. They said the Supervisor was with a client. I paid for my car and left. I have since called back about 15 times. I spoke to the customer relations guy twice, he said he was looking into the matter. I have not heard from him in a week. It has been three weeks since this happened.
I need resolution on this issue: I need my money returned and a reasonable amount charged for the repair. I feel they took advantage of me becasue of my age, race, and gender. I want at least $200.00 back. Please help.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
There must be more to the story than is apparent. Bud Kouts Chevrolet is extremely customer oriented and has been in business over 50yrs. I myself have been doing business there for over 20yrs. A family run christian operation that always puts the customer first. I have never known them to take advantage of anyone or allow race, gender or age to have any influence on fair treatment. Obviously there were some communication issues. But if the attitude you described was even partially true I have no doubt that the person you dealt with is no longer employed there. The attitudes you described would not be tolerated by any of the Idings. I have never known them to not follow through and they are noted for bending over backwards for their customers. I'm truly sorry you had such a poor experience but I would never take my business anywhere else in the Lansing area and will not hesitate to recommend them to anyone I come in contact with. KB
fire with one/leak with another
I purchased a 2008 Colorado LT Z71 crew cab in January of 2008 after my 2005 Colorado caught fire. I had the truck in the garage 2 weeks prior to the wheel catching on fire because the computer kept coming up abs fault. They reset the computer and sent me on my way. The axle was going out and the wheel walked and overheated the grease, catching it on fire. After fighting, I decided to purchase a new one. After one year, a leak developed in the front right side. Every time the truck is parked in my driveway and it rains hard, I get water running down the passenger side, creating a large puddle on the drivers side. The carpeting is almost always wet. My dealer is 65 miles away, so I just can't run down at lunch time. After I made it down to the service department, I was referred to their body shop. I went to Kuntz's bodyman and explained the problem. He wouldn't look at the truck. He told me I had to find out where it was leaking in and if I couldn't do anything about it then maybe he would look at it. This truck is still under warranty. I have purchased 2 brand new trucks from these people in the last 4 years and it will be the last time I purchase anything from them. I would like to lodge a complaint with GM but I cannot seem to get their website to come up. Does anybody know a contact at GM to lodge a complaint about a dealer's service?

My 2005 Chevrolet Colorado Ext. Cab was having problems starting. It appeared it was due to a bad wiring system.
One afternoon, after attempting to start the truck and giving up, I heard the car alarm. Next thing the fire department. My truck interior was fully engulfed.
The fire department inspector said it was a fire due to the wiring harness. Of course, I had just removed full coverage a few weeks prior.
A total loss. Anyone else have this problem?
I drive a 2006 Colorado CrewCab 2wd. I bought it a year ago from someone who drove frequently between Wilmington and Jacksonville, NC. However as of now it only has 48500 miles. After returning from a trip back in August2009, my stereo didn't work. It had rained really bad a few days prior to returning, and heading back home the stench of mildew was overwhelming. After months of replacing door gaskets and vaccuming out 2 gallons of water each time it rained, i finally called a window replacement place and they told me the water was coming in from the tailight on the back cab of the truck. it was a $60 fix, but no rain has leaked since. They told me this was common for this type of vehicle as i was the third fix that week, and it was only tuesday!
Now i'm trying to sell the truck. I just got it inspected, only to spend $1100 on fuel injector replacements(be sure you aren't buying bad gas and run fuel injector cleaner about once a month)..something odd for a vehicle with less than 50, 000 miles. My mechanic informed me that AC Delco can't keep these injectors on the shelf for this type of vehicle. Wow, go GM! Hope the bailout was worth it!
I'm afraid i won't be able to sell this truck for at least what it's worth because of the previous leak problem causing possible electrical damage(the mat under the carpet is still damp although water no longer leaks in) and i'm also afraid there are more underlying problems. I feel your pain and hope are closer to a solution. I'm going to try and contact AC Delco about possibly getting a report on this and then moving to the big guys GM about explaining this problem. I feel if gathering enough complaints they'll at least be courteous enough to provide reparations for our troubles..if not, Ford here i come!

I traded in my 2003 Chevy Impala for a new 2007 Chevy Impala at Jerry Gleason Chevrolet. When they took my old car, I left my I-pass (toll road remote device) on the windshield. I realized it about a half hour after leaving the dealership. I called my salesperson and he told me he would call back. After no call back, the following day I called him again. He...

The injectors carry a 7yr 200, 000 mi warrenty. At 81, 000 and 6 yrs, only 46, 000 from the first replacement, the injectors went bad again. My 16 yr old son has a 1994 Chevy Silverado truck. We took it to Andy Klein Pontiac yesterday for a routine oil change, using a coupon for a free oil change in a coupon book sold by a local pre-school. When the tech came in to tell me the truck was finished, he also said the "rear drive shaft universal joints are broken and your drive train is about to fall out" and that the "serpentine belt is dry-rotted". He put both of these recommended repairs on the sheet we brought home, but when I said I'd have a family friend who is a mechanic check it out, he seemed nervous. The price quoted to repair these was over $400. Today, I took it to a friend who is a mechanic, and he said there is absolutely nothing wrong with either of those parts, and even showed them to me to prove it. He had my son crawl under the truck so he could show him what the u-joints do, and even took the s-belt off the truck and put it back on so I could see that it was in excellent shape. To top it all off, they DIDN'T tell us that the coolant was completely empty (I thought they were supposed to check the fluids when they did an oil change). Luckily, my friend put some coolant in it for us, and everything is fine.
I know that with GM filing for bankruptcy, they are desperate for money, but at the expense of straight out lying to their customers?

And how much does an oil change cost for a Mercedes? It ain't $29.95.
I had a similar experience with a GM dealership in CT. We have a 2005 Escalade that went in for an oil change. They wanted to replace all four tires, replace the brakes and flush things I never heard of for $5000.00. I picked up my truck with only the oil change done. I the other stuff checked out. I did need two tires but that was all. The rest was nonsense. When my husband took our 2007 Escalade there for an oil change, he spoke to the service manager about this. I picked up my husband in our Mercedes and told the service manager because of this, it put a damper on our purchasing another American car. Needless to say the dealership is now closed.
PS : We turned in our Escalades and bought another Mercedes. There's nothing like a German car :)
terrible experience
My husband took our truck in to be repaired because the brakes failed and it caused a minor accident. First they replaced the master cylinder then realized that was not the problem, so then they replaced the rear proportion valve. Now about 2 months later the breaks went out AGAIN! They say its the brand new master cylinder that went out this time. So they...

I took my 2000 corvette in to have a recall repaired for a steering column lock notice that was displayed on my Drivers Information Center. I had taken my 2005 Chevrolet Malibu for service, under warranty, to the above company business name. The car was running the battery down. It was taken into them 2 maybe 3 times for that problem. I got some lame excuse that the cars are designed to be driven and since I was not driving it 50 miles a week the battery would run low. I was liad up with a disabiity so I could not driver it that often. Well 5-6 months after my warranty expired the battery ran completely down, which it has done several time before. Well I take it to my mechanic and he finds 2 problems and fixes them both. BOth of these problems were picked up with a computer diagnostic, but the dealer could not find a problem? I contacted Chevrolet and advised them of the above information, and they asked what I felt was a fair handling of this problem. I wanted my mechanic's repiar bill reimbursed since the dealer could not fix the problem. They denied me the claim so I ate the cost.

service dept are very rude. Will hang up on you and will basicly give you the run around about warrenty work. They will spend more time trying to prove your wrong than fixing the problem.I will never but a GM product agian.

Dear Sir,
At 30/06/2008 I purchase Chevrolet (Lomena) 2008 model V.I.N 6GIEK52B78L94138 from Al Jomaih Automotive Co. in Saudi Arabia / Riyadh.
At 16/11/2008 I tack it to Al Jomaih Vehicle Service Center in Riyadh city to do 10000 KM service without any damages and at 02/12/2008 Al Jomaih Vehicle Service Center call my to receive my car I find it with damages from the front side(engine shelter, left front light, (bomber(front shelter) they say (no problem we will repair damages) the problem now as you know they are responsible on that and the recalling value for body adjustment car is less than the non body adjustment car and I don’t accept body adjustment for my car.
After that I met Mr. Ibraheem Al Soubeehee to discuss the problem he refuse and ho ask to leave his office.
Please you kind advice fairly to solve problem ASAP.
Thank,
Osama Essa.

I was very interested in a Corvette I saw on the website. I sent an email as indicated, asking for more information about the car. The website said I should receive a phone call within 60 minutes! No call came - for a whole week.
I sent another email - I REALLY wanted this car!
Again, no return call... EVER! Three weeks later, I was asked to complete an online survey about my experience with Carmax. I told them it was AWFUL! I thought I might get a phone call now apologizing for their lousy service and an offer to make it up to me - but NooOOO!
Now I cringe when I hear commercials about them!
If only people knew!

I purchased a low mile older Silverado Pickup truck, with the purpose of this being the last vehicle for a long time. well after 30, 000 miles which put a total of 126, 000 on my 1995 truck my transmission goes. And mind you I check everything often. The transmission fluid always showed clean and bright red. After the trouble I had the filter and fluid changed and the bottom of the pan was an inch thick with black crap, after it showed clean every time checked. Now I would like to know why this is, has this showed the slightest discoloration it could have been changed and transmission trouble could have and would have been avoided.
GM has warning lights for everything, there should be something for this. Because of some over site on your end, I fill GM has slack in keeping up there quality. I have been a GM owner for many years and wouldn't drive anything else. But this has given an me a chance to rethink that. A $2200 fix for something that shouldn't have to be fixed for at least 250, 000 to maybe 300, 000 miles.
I have a 2017 trailblazer ext and the finish is peeling off the rims. The dealership replaced them once and a year later it is happening again. I have been told by the dealership and gm customer service it is not a warranty problem, I was told it is an enviromental issue and not covered by the extended warranty I purchased. And the first set they replaced should have never been replaced for free. I purchased the vehicle new in NY and I still live in NY. Why are they selling vehicles in states they know will ruin the finish on the vehicle in about a years time? The SUV only has 27, 000 miles on it!

I will never recommend anyone to Van Chevrolet. The sales team lied to us about trading in our vehicle. Had us drive all the way down from Colorado to turn us down. I have also filed a better business bureau complaint. They laughed at us on the phone and hung up several times. The called us over and over for the past month telling us to make the trip down and they would trade the vehicle for what we wanted and at the same monthly payment. The sales team were both rude and unprofessional using slang when talking to me calling me "bro and dude".
On June 22, 2017 I purchased a NEW Chevrolet Uplander mini van. There is a safety problem with this car. When you press down on the gas pedal the dash lights flicker (get bright and dim) also the head lights flicker getting bright and dim. I took the car to the dealership and they told me they could find nothing wrong. The problem continues, each time I press down on the gas pedal the dash lights and head lights flicker getting bright and dim. On the web suite WWW.MYCARSTATS.COM other Chevrolet Uplander owners are having the same problem. This is a serious safety concern.
After owning my 2017 Chevy Silverado since it was new' this truck has had more problems than any other vehicle I have owned-and I have been driving for 40 years. Brake rotors from China, window motors going out multiple times (both sides), problems with the heater, windshield washer reservoir leaks (had it repaired under warranty and it started again when the warranty ran out), pieces falling off the body, front hub went out, 4wd shifter fell off, not to mention severe rust. I cannot even remember all the sensors that have failed. The truck is garage kept and only has 82K miles. Many of the problems are due to faulty engineering and using cheap parts from China. This was not a cheap vehicle at $32, 000 in 2017. After this mess, I keep the truck parked as much as I can and rely on my Japanese engineered vehicles. Even with the low miles, I am afraid to take the Chevy on a trip. There is not enough room to list all the problems I have had with this truck. It's nothing to see German and Japanese engineered vehicles go 200K trouble free miles. I just wish I could have gotten 100K trouble free miles.
If GM ever wants to get back in the ball game, they will have to put their money where their mouth is and offer a 100K bumper to bumper warranty like Hyundai did! I hate the idea that my tax money was used to bail out this POS company!

I am writing this email with very disappointment as I have got delivery today of my new Chevy Beat from GALLOPS MOTOR PVT. LTD., Sarkhej Gandhi nagar highway, Ahmedabad
My Car details are as below
Owner Name: MaulikKumar VijayKumar Pandya
Bill Date: 13/04/2017
ENGINE No: B12D110AJVZ
Chassis No: MA6BFBB2BBT045039
In details, I have booked my New Chevy Beat from Gallops Motor, Vijay Cross Road branch, Ahmedabad. As there was very huge gap in accessories price I had decided not to fit this from the dealer which we have already intimated. Now, on delivery time I got a call from your people stating that your Car is ready with all accessories like mag wheels and all despite of big No for the same. Instead of committed time and place of delivery, it was delayed about an hour and we need to take Car from Sarkhej Branch instead of Vijay Cross Road branch as committed before.
This is not over. There is BIG trouble in car AC which is not working at ALL, I dont know is there any policy from Chevy people have to check the car before delivering it or NOT. Again there is noise coming from front wheels.
There is no email address to book complain or customer care
Dear sir,
I am using Beat in that using Apollo Tyre
my car running completed only 11000 Km in that I found in 7 days my air reduce by 10 point means 32 to 22 then I have checked the I found miner hole in that we can cant put puncher even in one my tyre why it is happening now giving suggestion like stupidly about put tube in that then what 3 years warranty Chevrolet giving in Delhi OKELA showroom
Kindly suggest to change my tyre..
I'm not denying that they failed to contact you, but at the same time there are generally hundreds of emails and phone requests for information and sometimes people slip through the cracks, however it's laughable that you cringe when you watch the commercials when you were too lazy to be proactive about the car.
If you were so very interested in this Corvette, then why didn't you just drive down to the store to look at it? The average stay for a car is 3 days, and the entire lot usually turns over in about 7 - there are exceptions, but these are from their sales statistics.
