I bought chicken licken wings at eastgate mall, when I opened the pack I realised some of the wings were black / blue when I opened them i initially thought they were burnt . I ate the ones that I thought were fresh they had a funny taste . So I decided to back and show them chicken was obviously off cause it had changed colour . I demanded my money back, because I knew they would offer to exchange and that never solves anything . I spoke to the manager Sekhonyana Mokete, who was useless to say the least . He contacted the head office were I spoke to Kelvin Mophart, he told me their policy doesn't allow them to refund the customer if they are some of the food . He kept on arguing with me and that dint solve the problem, the principle is YOU DO NOT SERVE PEOPLE ROTTEN FOOD AND EXPECT THEM TO BE OHK WITH IT .I am very disappointed with them, I will not be buying from the Franchise ever again . This Kelvin really did not handle the situation . He dint get the whole concept of demanding my money back is cause I'm entitled to do that it is my right if the product was not satisfactory as a customer .
excessive salt in the hot wings
I've been buying chicken lickin for a very long time, so I'm accustomed to the taste.I bought 12 hotwings yesterday next to the BP garage in Benoni, they were so dissapointingly salty, my mom even tried rinsing them.I hope u'll investigate this&rectify.We love yo chicken & hope this would be resolved sooner than later, thanx.Kind regards Wendy Mdhluli

Hi I am so unhappy with the service I received from the cashier named Phindile msizi. This rude, harsh, mean woman works at chicken [protected]@church and prinsloo street in Pretoria. This mean woman, before I could order, I politely greeted her...that's when hell broke loose...she angrily told me that she doesn't have time to greet and smile and that I must just order and leave!..this didn't really sit well with me. I thought people who work with the public must be nice and polite! She was just so rude! M so hurt...I don't know if thus is how customers must be treated

Today at 18:45 We went to but two meals at Hans van Hansmore in Polokwane and was given a wrong order of 4 pieces instead of three pieces. I showed the staff and they rectified their mistake. But the second same meal that we ordered took more than 30 minutes, we left the shop at about 19:30 and the staff were laughing when we were asking the reason for the delay. I will never ever buy from that branch and will also post it on hello

Last nite 05/05/2017 I 've ordered a family full house (8) round about 19:33 at the chicken licken in Industria. I have waited a whole 45mins just for my order while other people after have received their orders long before me...when confronting the situation.. the attitude from the staff was really unprofessional...
I did not appreciate the services that was given to us as the client and the communication is very poor..

Firstly, No-one to take my order at comm box drive-tru. While exiting the drive-tru, the boom-gate did not open. I reversed to the collection window, where the lady turned her back on me, I tried to get her attention by speaking loudly & pressing my hooter - no response. I tried reversing out of the drive-tru, the security guide just looked at me with a big smile on his face. Only when I stopped my vehicle & jumped out, did he approach me. He told me to take my vehicle away. I entered the store. The lady at the counter completely ignored me. Eventually, she said in a very rude manner, "I am not serving you, go to the security".
I tried contacting the Operations manager, Vinisha on [protected], to report the rude staff member ; no answer when trying to reach her telephonic.

They called my nr and i went to collect it then 2 ladies ignored me i told them 3 times its my order but they still ignored me i asked if i can see the manager but they told me his in his office he cant come to me now im very happy
short order and customer service
My name is Shamir Ramsahayee.
I bought a meal from the chicken liken in Newcastle on meme road.
Firstly my order was short.
Secondly the chicken was drenched in oil as if they took it out the fryer and put straight into my box.
When I called and spoke to the manager he did noting so I asked for the owner of the store to call me.
I waited now for abut 1 & half months and the owner did not call me. I went into the store over this weekend and when I asked the manager siyabonga as to why the owner never call. He could not answer. When I told him that I will call the head office he told me that the owner said it's ok I can call the head office to lay a complain.
I find this customer service pathetic. Is this what chicken liken customer service is all about .
I would like a call from either the owner or head office to resolve my query.

Helow my name is karabo from Rustenburg, i've been buying soul sister party 4 for almost 3 months at Chicken licken Rustenburg midtown mall, it's always salty and dark in colour, i am not the first customer to complain at the store, yesterday 07th _april_ 2017, i told the teller/cashier about my complain, but there was no difference, it was still salty and dark in colour. The reason i am complaining is beacause i have high blood pressure, too much salt is bad for my condition. I am giving you up until monday to call me on [protected] or i am taking this matter to Daily sun or Rustenburg Herald. Thank you.

I went to chicken lickenn to buy rock my soul without chips and specifically asked them not to include a centre breast on my order. To my suprise when I got to work the centre breast was tincluded, I am not happy with the overall service especially at presence of a manager more especially, the attitude I got from the consultant was disgusting...

I have been going to your Rosebank Branch for years. Always greeted with a pleasant smile. Today however, the lady behind the counter never greeted and in fact never looked up. The lady assisting her greeted with smile but left to go assist kitchen staff. The lady then shouted out a total of 5 times load that I short paid with 10 c 5 times. I gave her the 10c . I also asked about different Wings specials and she told me absolutely nothing. Whilst waiting for my order another customer came to me and said that the lady behind the counter was highly upset with me because I threw money at her? So not only did she not greet before I even paid and whilst asking about product when I paid I apparently threw money at her. The customer continued to harass me as the lady spoke in her language to him . This is so unacceptable and very unpleasant. The ladies name as per the slip is MARTHA SHIFT 1 . I often go there to place orders for the company I work for but I think we may change to KFC even tho their wings arent even a fraction ask awesome as your wings. Really sad by this experience.

Hi on the 4 april 2017 after 12pm, I couldn't believe when I went to two chicken licken branches commissioner street and fnb city with a r100 and wanted to buy two milk shakes for me and my daughter and the cashiers said they don't have change. I had to get out of the queue which I was standing in for more then 10 min, just for that.. This is bad service

I have always been buying from Chicken-Licken since I have worked in the Pietermariztburg CBD.I have been buying buying almost everyday from the restaurant and getting good service.Of late I purchased 4 Chicken Wings and w3as served by the on of the Mangers who's name is Slii.I only asked for a plastic bag but the manager refused on grounds that the order is too small while all along i was served my take away with plastic bag.even when i beeged the manager to buy the plastic from the store, he just refused straight to sell it to me.
This shows inconstancy from the store as this one the first i was told such.Plastic is can be used in may ways and important irrespective of the quantity of the food inside.I was really dissatisfied by the service i received from the shop...It was clear that they lack care for thier customers. I will no more buy from this chicken licken

Last night at about 19:37 we were thrown out at chicken liken by a manager by the name Savanah in kempton park, she told us that she will not ring up our sales because it is closed while all the while we were inside. The sign at the door said that they close at 20:30 but she simply refused to help us n the man who was there said he will not make chicken for us I was really disappointed about her service as she stood there and screamed for everyone to hear how she will not help us because they were closed. The staff the are not trained and the service is very poor

We bought supper from you East Rand value mall on the 29th of March 2017. We bought 3 rock my soul 3 piece meals, 1 2piece meal and 12 wings.
We all got terribly ill last night from the chicken. We have been having extreme cramps and runny stomachs after this. This started at 12 last night. with 3 of us running to the toilet constantly.
This is extremely disappointing as this has never happened before. 2 of us did not have anything else to eat for the whole day, so this was confirmation that it was the chicken and nothing else. We had to buy medicine from the chemist and have been ill all day.
I would like feedback on this matter as soon as possible please.

My husband went to the chicken licken store in Epping industry cape town, he was at the shop at 9:00 am and as advised they would open at 9:00 how ever they opend at 9:30 he had to wait half and hour, he bought a meal of R100 something like a family full house witch was chicken, cold slaw and rolls...but he rolls was old, very disappointed at the late opening and the stale rolls.

I'm disgusted by the attitude I was given by a Lady at chicken licken at blood mall. I bought a meal "feed my craving" on Friday around 18:00pm. I got home and found very few cheaps inside. On Wednesday I went back and bought the same meal. I asked the lady at the cashier to ask the lady who prepares meal to tell her that can she not do what she put more fries in meal because the last time I got very few fries. She ignored me and continued to help me with ordering. When I received my meal I asked the gentleman who was calling out the order to please open my order so I can check my fries. I found the same problem. I asked the gantleman to tell the Lady who prepared my meal to add more fries as my fries were very few. The gentleman turned and asked the lady. The lady gave me an attitude and told me to check how she merges the fries, they then whispered at each other with the gentleman in front and laughed. I didn't see what they were doing buy my meal came back the same way. When I was leaving after complaining the gentleman infront said "I ignore customers who complain" then said "I'll meet up with you one day outside". Goodday, I bought a party 16 at Cosmo city Mall on Friday travelling to Mpumalanga, 7 pieces of the wings were too small not something you can't serve a customer. After my trip, I was told by the owner Mr.Fiona on the phone he wants his chicken first before he can give me my money?I will never see a cent from him and I am very rude when I complain, and I was told that "the are many customers who complain about the quality or protein of the wings" clearly nothing is done about it. Appreantly the staff are told to put the wings by Management.Mr.Fiona doesn't live the Chicken Licken brand.All I need is my money back

I bought hotwings 6 delux around 15:26:18 yesterday (Saturday) in pretoria central house. The wings were so dry and hard, couldn't even finish even one. How can you sell that kind of staff to your customers. Im really disappointed, now my money gone down the drain because I can't eat them. I was standing in front of this shop waiting for a colleague, then decided to enter and looked at the menu. I then opted for the "Rock My Soul 3", which had a thigh, leg, and wing illustrated. I spoke to the cashier and confirmed that these will be the portions I would get and she confirmed. I asked "are you sure" she said yes again and askes if i want chips with it and replied yes.
She rang up the sale, I paid, and she just returned change and slip. No "please take a seat" or "order will be ready in a minute or 2". I stepped aside and waited as I knew it would not take long. there was 2 orders before me awaiting to be handed to patrons.
Then I was handed my order, I opened the box, checked for the pieces that was confirmed only to find there is no thigh but instead a dry piece of breast.
The person who handed my order to me covertly alerted the cashier that I'm about to complain, by poking the cashier and showing with her eyes in my direction. I got so angry, I wanted to demand a refund. I told the cashier there is no evidence of a thigh in this meal box. She took it from me, almost grabbed, not saying a word, with a very irritated look on the face and gave it to the expediter where the piece was changed and shoved back on the counter. No apology, nothing. which at this point would have made me feel better.
I just feel that before I made the transaction, I confirmed of what I should get, therefore I went ahead, knowing what the contents would be. How many customers do this and actually leave without checking their order and ending up with food that they did not ask for and then have to leave it or just give away.
I myself am a qualified all star, worked for KFC from the age of 16, I never treated customers so rudely.
Please address your staff and inform them of customer service, eye contact, empathy and integrity.
Personally I do not think I will EVER set foot in a Chicken Licken ever again. Many previous times same or similar incident happened at various branches and I just kept quiet.
