mould on bread
Bought Coles Four Seed Gluten free bread on Tuesday evening and put it in the fridge. When opened Wednesday evening found mould on the bread! Very unhappy about it... hazardous for health and also gluten free products already being expensive was very unhappy on the waste of money. I wish i could have taken pictures to post them here :(

Was about to enjoy my "Coles Brand" Chocolate Bavarian for dessert only to taste the "Vanilla" to find it is extremely sour. If you claim the product is off I suggest a recall as the dessert does not expire until 2016. Needless to say I was extremely disappointed. I am not asking for a refund or anything as it was only $3 but being cheap is besides the point. If it had of made us sick it would be a completely different ball game.

What's going on at your store in Hillarys are you running it down. There is nothing on the shelves and the fresh produce is old and soggy. We shop here for convenience however we will be shopping at Woolworths from now on.

larger box at $3.00 more
Coles Ultra Concentrate laundry powder has always been available in a small box for $4.00 and the 2.5kg for $7.00. The 2.5kg is no longer available and has been replaced by a 5kg box at $17. That means in the past I could have bought 2 x 2.5kg for $14 and my option now is to buy the 5kg for $17 an increase in price of $3.00! Where is my savings in buying the larger box? That is a rip off. Perhaps I shall switch laundry powder to the Aldi brand. Thanks Coles.
purchase phone broken
I bought a nokia phone yesterday which is locked to telstra. The phone was not opened and checked in store. On opening at home the screen was shattered. Took it back to coles who state they can not exchange or refund and sent me to telstra. The telstra store said they cant replace it either but advised coles should check before selling the phone under consumer law should exchange it and sent me back to coles. Spoke with manager karen who called nokia, nokia advised it was her discretion to swap the phone. Karen stated she was not allowed. So now replacement, no refund!
Coles should not sell phones if they carry no responsibility for damaged goods. I am on a pension and feeling so angry. Will not shop at my local coles store again.. I will go to woolworths instead.

The cashier at the coles located at pinelands, sunnybank hills and her name is amanda is a terrible person with bad customer service. She put the higher price with the tomato I chose which supposed to be 3 dollars but she said its 9 dollars. She is a very rude person and put all the 3 dollars tomato to the 9 dollars area and forced me to pick from the 3 dollars area again! Who the hell she think she is? How come coles hire this kind of terrible old woman working there? Ruin people's day? I hope pinelands coles gonna do something to is soon. To that terrible lady.

Just cleaning group pays there cleaners in Coles stores cash. This company cleans over 50 Coles stores in Victoria and pays out over $25, 000 a week to cleaners in cash
Most of the cleaners don't even have the right to work in Australia. How is it that this company is permitted by coles to act in such an illegal manner

cant purchase these 2 products any more at coles
cancellation of 2 products which Coles has sold for many years, the first one is Long life self shining floor polish bar code 9 [protected] and the cigarettes were cancelled this week the bar code is [protected]. I have been a Coles shopper for nearly 30 years and have always bought this polish at their store but they discontinued it nearly a year ago, and I have requested it to be reinstated, As it is I have to walk 200 metres to the opposition Woolworths to purchase these 2 items, which is proving difficult on a walking stick. I can see a lot of customers walking away from Coles if they keep discontinueing their products which they have been selling for a long time. I am glad to see O cedar oil furniture back on the shelf. the floor polish which you are selling is absolute rubbish for polished floors, and it needs buffing. poor quality of tins
I am writing to complain about the extremely poor quality of coles brand tins for all of the tinned foods. We use coles brand baked beans, beetroot, diced tomatoes, fruit salad, pineapple pieces, tuna in brine for eg. The tins are impossible to open, they are way too thin and our can openers seem to just dent them or dimple them, my mother has motor nuerone and even using an electric can opener she has trouble. I often wonder how people with arthritis or other conditions even manage to open these... I have even tossed a full can of tuna away with disgust after failing to open it when pushed for time. I have tried using the old lever can openers, even these just dimple the top. My 21 yr old daughter sliced her finger open the other day on a tin of tuna, and my fiance took 5 mins to open some fruit salad. I resorted to kitchen shears/ scissors to finish off removing a lid to the point of bending it back enough (In half) to remove the diced tomatoes.
The whole idea of buying shop brand tinned food is to save money, not build frustration to the point of resorting to shopping at different supermarkets such as bi lo, aldi or woolworths. I think coles is cheaper but not if I can't buy their home brand items just so they can save $ by suppling # quality tins!
Staff member observed placing slightly cracked caged egg into free range eggs package. When asked what they were doing replied "the egg was broken" Was so stunned didn't think of asking further questions. Who knows how often a customer is paying the higher price for free range, when they're actually getting the unwanted option ? Perhaps the egg shells themselves should be stamped.
Lack of service
On 26/7/2014, I went Morley Shopping Centre. I went to Coles supermarket. They got special dishwashing liquid half price. I went with my sister, I got 6 liquids for myself and my sister got 6 liquids for herself. We put them together 1 trolley. The staff member ( Jamine) said limit 6 liquids/ person. I told her, we have 2 person and the catalogue did not said limited. Then Jamine followed us and spy on us until we went to cashier. Jamine make the call to the girl who did cashier for us, to make sure we had 6 liquids only. It is so terrible, look like we are the theft. We are using the money to buy it. We were not get free or stolen. Then we were returned the items to them, we did not want them anymore as we felt very upset and terrible. The service of Coles are terrible. Next time, if the Coles want special, should put limit/person/transaction.
I was shopping at a Cairns Coles and when I went to the deli section to purchase some cold cuts of meat. I was met with one of the rudest people I have ever met. She would not make I contact and when I requested an item that she had to cut up herself she verbally abused me under her breath. I was so shocked at this behaviour that I left the store in disgust. Today, 26/7/2014 I went Morley shopping Centre. Galleria is situated on the corner of Collier and Walter Roads. Galleria is 7kms from the Perth CBD. I went to coles supermarket. We put them same trolley and my sister paid for me as I do not have money. The women name is Jamine ( the coles cashier). She follower us and said only limited 6 liquids/ person. We told her, the catalogue did not said limited. And we still go around to bought another items. And I saw her (Jamine) follow us. Then we finished shopping and went to cashier. We saw the Aussie lady have more than 10 liquids. As we were waiting Next us turn, I saw Jamine was walking from another place, pass through us, toward the customer service and made the call to the girl who did cashier for us. As I heard she said I allow only 6 liquids. I tell her me and my sister together. I explained to her, many people were looking at us. I felt upset and felt racism as the Aussie can buy many, and I can not buy more than 6. Also when we started to buy liquids, Jamine followed us, do we like thief or robbery ? And spy on us, made us uncomfortable. I bought from our money, not stealing. Then we returned the items back to the store. When we went home. I still very upset...
a young girl just threw all my groceries in my green bags without any concideration of what was going in. I actually had to ask her not to put my scones on the bottom but she still continued to throw and i use the word throw literally my biscuits and advocados under tins and bottles i was simply amazed she just had no idea.
I purchased a bag of Coles brand Jasmine Rice. The entire bag was riddled throughout with some kind of bug feces. Attached are photos of a clump of it that stuck to the rice when it was wet and now it has dried, there is this white poo all through the bag of rice! Gross! Made in Thailand where there is no strict quality control for hygiene.
I live one street away from coles Engadine and they always do this, all the young ones on check out have no idea... there is one tall young guy that I am sure does it to see if I say something... i just go to wollies now and wont spend my money there... Coles Engadine really needs to sort there staff out... seems like they do what they want
unfit for sale grapes
I purchased a bag of pre baged white grapes.. They appeared like quality Grapes at $12"98 per Kg. When I got home to unpack my purchases I found that only the top of the bag had a bunch of Grapes . Under neath were all loose over ripe grapes . Looked like the dregs from the bottom of a box. I paid $8"98 for a bag of rubbish that had been dressed up to look like a quality product. not remvoing a gluten product from gluten free scetion
After two weeks and speaking with 6 different staff members, coles point cook (Victoria, aust) have still not removed tuckers multi fibre crackers - a wheat (Gluten) based product - from their gluten free section.
Whilst our family did overlook the ingredient, believing products in the gluten free section are advertised and sold as gluten free, our 10 year coeliac daughter became very ill after consuming the product.in response, the only action coles took was to take down the overhead 'gluten free' sign. I'm not sure the other suppliers of gluten free products would appreciate this.
Don't make money from gluten free products if you can't get it right - people get sick.

As the parent of a child with a serious allergy to gluten it is YOUR responsibility to thoroughly read the ingredient labels, while I agree with you that the product should have been removed. The grocery store I work in does not have a designated "gluten free" section all of the gluten free products are along side the regular products, so as a consumer it is important to read the label.
baby formula
Coles, I have been a loyal customer for the past few years, and when I had my baby girl I shopped there especially because it's the only place in town where they stock the particular baby formula that my daughter can have. Unfortunately, I went to do my shopping recently, and found out the forgot to order Karicare Aptamil Gold Plus. I got the closest thing to it, then I decided I will come back in a few days and get the right one. Four days later I returned and they still haven't ordered it! Because of this, my daughter has been suffering constipation AND a lack of sleep. I'm sad to say but my Coles shopping experience is over, and I expect something to be done about this. Please notify me as soon as possible.

human hair inside cake
Hi, I normally love to shop at Coles, and although the Essendon store is very small and variety is not the best, it's great to go their for a few things. The Coles brand of chocolate Madeira cake I purchased, had a human hair intertwined within the centre of the cake. Unfortunately I discovered this once a piece of cake was in my mouth. This made me feel really sick, all I suggest is that the manufacturing process of these products are monitored correctly. I tried to take a photo, but because the hair was fine blond hair it would not show in the picture. To be honest I felt too sick to try and adjust focuses etc on my phone camera. It all went straight in the bin. The item was purchased on the 12/5/14.

Big piece of mould found in my microwavable rice packet. I already have helicobactor infection in my stomach. What also disgust me is the packet is not expired yet has this mould in it. This is by far the most disgusting that I have seen and is very dangerous as I have a stomach infection that I am taking medicine everyday for it. Not only being sick myself. Imagine another person buying this product and eating it or feeding it to their children. I would like someone to contact me as soon as possible as I am going to go very high with this matter as from Monday. Mould is not just disgusting it is a health risk!

Today at 11.20 am, walked in, approached front counter to buy filters.
Female aged 40 or so, didn't serve me, kept talking to her colleague.
When she did serve me, no formal greeting. I asked politely for cigarette filters.
She asked in her cranky voice, ID!
Showed her my high risk licence, turns around talks to her collegie
Ignores the fact I took my ID out. Looks at it, what The Hell is this!
I reply excuse me this is a high risk licence from safe work SA.
Didn't ask politely, I need your drivers licence.
I said fine you want to conduct business like this, I will never shop here again.
Please advice the kurralta park store in south Australia to retrain staff,

I was there yesterday at arround 9 pm, i usually shop in there and sometimes going therefor cigarettes at night, that evening i has my miniture chihuahua with me on my hands and there simply to buy cigarettes and i did not enter the food section, just up front thats all, now, i've been shockingly stunned by rudeness of 'manager'he call himself refused to serve me and asking leave the shop and never come back again...This is rediculous and ugly, the guy did not wear face mask (but wear covid marshall west, did not wear badge as a manager of the store you supposed to)and refused to give me his first name, if you done nothing wrong you would give your first name, after metrying to stand there tofind 'managers' first name, he went and surround himself with other two guys and come back to me with the story of me swearing and using lenguage at them(they couldn't come up with anything better i guess)that was shocking experience, been shop there for at least two years and never has anything like that, never saw that rude racist redhead guy before (who were mocked my accent in the end)that was shockingly beyond nasty ...
Will definetely call the Australian custumer servise support and sort this problem out, people like that is not deserve to work at custumer service, specially in pandemic (not even bothered to follow the rules himself and braking safety law )What a imberrestment, just wow !
Where do some people come off, complaining about staff members, like the clown above? Did it occur to you that maybe this "aged 40 or so" lady was discussing important store business with her colleague? Noooooooo...seems to me you were unhappy you had to wait a short time, rather than get served when you arrived.
I shop in this store all the time & I have nothing but praise for all the staff at Kurralta Park. They are always polite to me & I rate them very highly, unlike the staff down the road, who seem to lack the morale & personality these guys have. In fact, you should probably buy your filters there, because with your attitude, you might find them to be the kind of staff what you need.
I have waited at the same Service Desk to be served on a couple of occasions but I am probably a lot more patient than you & I never get "cranky" attitudes from any of the staff at Kurralta Park.
To the Management of this store...keep up the current training methods you have, because my experiences with your staff easily outweigh anyone else's crappy reviews & complaints.
noisy renovations
I usually enjoy shopping at Coles Inglewood a few times a week but unfortunately today I couldn't wait to get out and left with a pounding headache due to that noisy jackhammer which didn't even stop for a minute.Myself and several other customers were making comments about this .I personally am really concerned for the staff in that store as I could only tolerate this for a short time and can only imagine how they must feel after listening to that all day! I understand the store is under going renovations but I think you really need to consider using that jackhammer when customers and staff are not around.
spaghetti was mostly liquid; just a few strands of spaghetti. Very poor value. We are not happy with this product at all.
bully tactics with australian companies
My husband and I have just viewed on TV a report of Coles using bully attacks on our Australian produces and the sum figure spoken was $16.000.000. I have shopped at Coles for the past 46 years and my husband has asked that perhaps I find somewhere else to shop.
if this report is correct then I will find somewhere else to shop. This is not how business should be carried out - I am a business owner myself and pride myself and my family in integrity. treatment of staff
I work here and boy do i regret ever starting here. I'd rather be a trolley collector than have to listen to mr GINO IENCO!
The store is filled with discrimination, if you aren't a member of the boys than forgot about it, don't even bother coming to work. They leave you to fail with the amount of work left behind. Never allowed to take leave nor allowed sick leave because gino has a cry. The new grocery manager has been told if he does look after a handful of workers he can kiss his job/career goodbye. Tyranny and dictatorship is how the store is run not to mention you continuously watch incompetent ###s getting 40 hours a week while the hard workers get a bag of ###.

I decided to shop on Tuesday at about 11am at my local Coles, Innaloo, as my last shop was on a Monday and there was only about 10% of the normal meat available. There was probably less than that today and many items had not been restocked on the shelves. One staff member told me that none of the butchers had turned up the day before. I had to go to Woolworths to get my meat. The number of shoppers here told me that I was not the only disgruntled customer. I am a Wesfarmer shareholder so Coles will need to lift its game.
