I am actively being harassed by this supposed college. They are calling my husband and I up to 6 times a day. Today they called at 6:48am. I am highly disturbed and feel very harassed. My husband has even told them when I am working or in a seminar and they still call. Its terrible. This is worse than a bill collector. They are also hiding under Las Vegas, NV numbers.
There are 3 of them rotating calls.
misappropriation of federal student aid
I attended ctu from 2004 - 2007 and had no problems. I re-enrolled in 2016 and have been screwed. I took 2 classes in 2016 which appear to have been paid for. When filling out my 2nd fafsa the income was wrong looking like 190, 000. A year when in reality it is 19, 000. A year. For over a year the financial aid department has lied to me and just charged money owed to my account. Then I receive a bill for 7, 000. Exit papers were mailed to me because I had to withdraw from 2 classes due to a family emergency and they show the school received about 8, 000. I have an interest statement from the irs showing 12, 000. Plus 4, 500.in pell grants which is about 17, 000. The nslds also shows approximately 17, 000. I edited my fafsa to show correct income but ctu keeps bugging. The department of education is presently conducting an investigation along with ctu corporate. Dont let these people get away with this crap. The state ombudsman office deals with all these types of complaints. Everyone I know who graduated from ctu regrets it.

constant calls
Calls me several time a day every day. Blocking the number does no good, as the call from a different number once you block one. I have asked to be removed from the call list and they still call 10- 15 times per day. This is harassment and they need to stop. It does not matter if you ask them to stop calling they will still call. I never asked to receive calls or info but the are blowing up my phone all day.

degree program
Colorado Technical University is a accredited for-profit college with both online courses and physical locations in CO, offering Bachelor's and Master's degrees. Their parent company, Career Education Corp., has recently paid out $10M in a settlement concerning allegations of falsified job placement practices, and deceiving students about accreditation.
'Technical' Problems While enjoying a wealth of students from around the country, Colorado Technical University has also come under nationwide scrutiny for a series of complaints, lawsuits, and fraud reports that include alleged incidents of the following:
• Refusal of access to transcripts
• Fabricated charges in excess of $4k, with no available contact for recourse or appeal.
• Deception with regard to career potentials and job placement programs.
• Circular bureaucratic transfer being used to deter students from resolving false charges.
• Students receiving poor or no customer service.
• Failed promises of guidance from a advisor.
• Deceptive recruiting tactics, misrepresent of job placement rates and have high rates of student loan default and student withdrawal.
• Student debts being sold to multiple collection agencies.
• Abuse of US veterans and VA loan programs.
• Predatory sales practices.
As a recruitment mill, they signed up just about anyone off the streets? i fell victim to there fraud scam, as they lured me into a contract and debt...I never graduate from high school, so they even lied on the application as well just to get the money from "Department Of Education" !
These fraudulent online college degree are straight bogus? For the same price of well established university, Colorado Technical University online sells you a high school level education, and when you realized you have been scammed, they neglect and ignore all of your contacts and requests. Not even a college transcript for what ever credits you did earned, by the way the credits are not even transferable to a local junior college!
Then they withdraw out of school and lock you out, and leave you with a debt crisis...
loans
I am up to 60, 000 or more I debt with this so called school. I would like to sue them for the amount of funds they took out in loans if I could. I only received my associate degree and they won't release my transcripts because they say I owe an additional 1500, how in the world they are out to make money not achieve education success. They don't help you find employment just continue to call to offer you to come back to there school. This was the worst decision I ever made to get a degree from this school. The amount of money they used in my school funding I should have a bachelors degree. Someone needs to stop them from making the same fraudulent activity with another student thinking they achieving goals only to be left with debt and no real degree.
education
Long story short I went to CTU and graduated but once I graduated they stuck me with a huge bill which was never advised to me. I had to take a class 3 times because on a conflict with the instructor. I was told by the school that they apologized and "dropped the ball" I have a ton of emails from different staff members which the turn around rate is ridiculous at this school. The Ombudsman department contacted me acting like they were the good guys and they were on the students side but they aren't they are paid by the school. The school has done this to numerous students if you look at their reviews. I wish I would have looked at their reviews before applying but all I can do now is warn others about this school. Do not waste your time trusting a school that claims to care about the students but just cares about money.
promise of getting a job after graduating
I did not know the cost of my tuition until I got the final bill. THen id got a bill for a class I asked to drop. I was told I was not allowed to drop the class I told the guy on the phone I hope this call is recorded I can't take stats now i have to much on my plate with moving. Then I got the bill after many phone calls i don't feel I owe this money. I did pay some of it but, I am not paying another dime after I FOUND OUT I PAID 56, 000 FOR MY EDUCATION. I STILL DONT HAVE A JOB IN THE PROFESSION I WENT TO SCHOOL FOR. NOW CTU WONT GIVE ME MY GRADES TO ASSIST IN GETTING A JOB. I FEEL AFTER 56, 000 PLUS THE 2, 000 I HAVE PAID PRIVATELY THEY OWE ME MY GRADES AT LEAST.
fraud loan complaint
I attended CTU for a few semesters while I was active duty. I had to drop out do to a death in my family. I explained this to the University beforehand and customer service understood. I decided to further my education with another school after the break. I then received phone calls from CTU collections and explained to them that I did not owe them money and that I owed the VA (Veterans Affairs) money for dropping a course. I spoke with the VA and they had verified that I should never pay a school directly when using my MGIB. CTU Online has refused to release my transcripts until I pay them $638.00
After long phone conversations and not getting anywhere with the CTU online customer service I decided to talk to a supervisor. Every time I ask to speak to a supervisor I get transferred to voice mail and never receive a call back; if I do receive a call back it comes from CTU online collections.
This is a scam and a horrible school and I don't recommend that anyone or any US Vet go to this school.
I will be paying the money that I owe to Veterans Affairs for the dropped class and not CTU online.
refusal to answer questions
When I started at CTU online, I was told that I had enough student loan and grants to cover my expenses to complete my bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice human services. For two years, they kept saying I owed more and I kept paying. All of a sudden, things got fishy with financial department. They changed the format so we could not see when our loans and grants were dispersed and I ended up paying them more money because they said the tuition fees were increased. I paid that and then I get an email saying I owe over $6000.00. I have sent three emails to D. Harris and she refuses to explain what this cost is for along with the fact that this same email was sent to four other students. How could four other students owe exactly what they say I owe? The other problem is that CTU received funds from Direct Subsidized Stafford Loan and Direct Unsubsidized Stafford Loan, which were never credited to my account. I asked them were the money went with no reply from D. Harris.

Third Request for Information
D. Harris,
Please explain what has been added as in school payment. My grants and loans cover more than my expenses in college. I live on Social security and only receive $700.00 a month. Is this some kind of mistake? You sent me a form by email but that does not answer my questions. If I owe money after I was just told I do not owe anything else but $80.00 where do you get over $6, 000.00 from?
Roberta J. Pierce
This is what I get for college
Direct Unsubsidized Stafford Loan. Note- Has not been added to my account since January.
Direct Subsidized Stafford Loan. Note-Has not been added to my account since January.

Has not been awarded
07/08/2012-03/27/2013
Never added to my account. Where did this money go too?
Same I'm being robbed of all my money and no help to get it back they said my credits were transferable but they won't release my transcripts
I just enrolled at CTU and haven't had a chance to get into the more advanced classes, but the staff I've worked with so far are incredibly friendly and helpful. I just find it interesting that the bad reviews are coming from people who are already 85% illiterate. Maybe you shouldn't be going to college, and blame yourself for being bad at life.
Hello - we want to assist both of you. Can you email us at help@coloradotech.edu with your contact information? We'll have someone reach out to you.
I am in a similar situation with the same school. They keep telling me I owe them money and I hae paid and even kept records. They refuse to send me my Master's diploma until I pay another 4500.00 dollars which between grants and loans I really don't understand how it is that much. Anyway post and let me know how you make out I am in a financial bind and can send no more money.
misrepresentation, misuse of title iv funds
Great faculty — evil administration
I am an mba candidate online with colorado technical university. I will graduate in june 2013 and the experience has been both sweet and sour. sweet in the sense that I have learned a great deal since november 2009 from a faculty which truly cares about its students and does its best to provide a useful, real life education necessary in this world economy and job market. evil in the sense that the administratiion, particularly high level financial aid people such as brian duffy, vice president for financial aid, and his sidekick, brandon young [protected]) don't care about students, try their best to confuse, cheat, and steal from them, misrepresent "facts" as truth, and do anything in their power to take, take, take for the corporation that owns the "for-profit" university, career education corporation [protected].
I never quite understood what "evil" was in real life terms until I read scott m. peck, m. d.'s book "people of the lie." it seems that evil people operate on a totally different plane than good, honest people. they see life from a paradigm of blackness and pain and sin. they see their role in life to create misery for as many people as possible and rejoice when they have accomplished their mission, usually with the reward of riches. they are soul-less, dress impeccably to impress others and themselves, and appear for all intensive purposes as "winners," however their insides are nothing but cauldrons of bubbling filth and stink.
This is colorado technical university's administration in a nutshell. that's why it changes presidents like we change underware, or at least close to that often.
Beware: if you are considering colorado technical university as a school to attend, look elsewhere. i've worked for two highly regarded private colleges — knox college in galesburg, illinois and hanover college in southern indiana — for 8 years during my career. I learned then, but unfortunately forgot when I chose ctu as my grad school, that there must be goodness and purity at the helm. # rolls downhill is a perfect adage for ctu and it should become its slogan.
technical issues with main frame server
It's as if these ###s who run the technical services at CTU online can't get their brains on straight let alone the hallow heads that hold them. This is the second time in the pursuit of two degrees or longer that the stinking servers have gone done and for non maintenance. Acts of GOD and nature my butt. They're doing it to sabotage mine and other students educations while soaking us thousands of dollars some of which come out of your pockets tax payers of America. Where do you think the FEDs get the money for student loans and grants? That's your money and mine being wasted. You'd think CTU could afford a nearly indestructable and an uninteruptable server or servers with redundant systems and backup systems as well. This prevents the inconveniences that happen when the server goes down and students are flunking due to assignments being late. Kinda hard to do my live chats, home work or to submit assignments etc. when the CTU online campus "vanishes" due to "technical issues." I think the issue is the idiot factor called CTU technical services. Sheesh does it really take that long to get a server back online? I don't think so. I can flip a light switch, fart or snap my fingers faster than they can get a server online? Something is seriously wrong with that. They pushed my pissed off button for the last time. This should be a crime having the server go down. We need a fully 100% funded and backed gurantee that the server will stay online no matter what.

charging way too much for tuition
I enrolled in CTU Online in late June of this year. I have been learning right along but I kept noticing on the school website under the accounts and financial aid tab that there was an awful lot of money being sent to this school for my tuition and I was not getting much of nothing as far as over payments went. I am still there and have expressed my concerns to the financial aid department and I am awaiting another school to notify me where i can transfer right out of there.

fraud
Regarding CTU-online( College).
This “College” needs to be investigated for fraud. Back in 3/2009 I had a friend that signed up with this college. The deal was if she had another person that CTU could call and possabley sign up she would get a $50.00 credit, so she gave them my name and phone number. CTU called me and I was not that interested. The sells guy Christian Borja made all kind of untrue statements and even walked me through the enrollment process saying I could cancel if I was not comfortable with the enrollment. That was not true. It ended up being almost 3 weeks of being called and sent from one department to another department. CTU knew I was not going to get funding in 1 week. I asked to cancel as I got suspicious about the entire ordeal and I was not getting any answers as to what it was I was taking or what the amounts were of the class. CTU just wanted to reel me in knowing at the end they were going to send me a $713.00 bill. The school within that 3 weeks never canceled when I first asked for it to be canceled. What they did was change the course 3 times and said to me that I would not have any out of pocket. At this point I did not believe that. This entire deal was a scam. The facts are I never seen or signed any agreement to pay that school as I never got any answer to what it was I was agreeing to. I only got a contract and a bill mailed to me after I made it clear that I was not going to pay and I wanted all of it closed. I had said it before but when I was not complying any longer that is when it turned ugly. I called the school after I got the bill and talked with a Mr. Gerold Mcshane, he made all kinds of threats and refused to clear any balance. He told me I was going to pay or they would sue me and then the harassment started. He and a few others started calling me at night, all hours of the morning yelling at me and making threats. I sent them a letter to not contact me anymore. I did not owe anything as I did not get anything. I will mail some of the documentation with this letter. After awhile I believe Sept 2009 they sent the account over to “ GRC collections” once I showed them the proof they refused to collect and I never heard from CTU or GRC again until the end of May 2011, I got a notice from Collection Hudson Valley. It was CTU that after 2 years once again sent this account to yet another agency . After seeing the proof they closed the file and returned it to CTU uncollected. On July 25th I got a menacing call from yet another collection agency Avante [protected], I did not take the call no message was left. This is harassment. Back in May 2009 just to satisfy the paperwork that was done on the account with CTU I paid $75.00, it was a settlement to just satisfy and end the entire mess. What they did was cash the check and keep on trying to collect. CTU knew I was mailing in a settlement check as the argument was going on between Mr. Mcshane and I . CTU once getting that check had 90 days to mail back the check or refund the final payment. They never did. Indiana law 26-1-3.1-311 accord and satisfaction laws apply. It’s been 2 years.
The facts are: CTU has given out my social security number to 3 agencies, all 3 have illegally pulled my credit, as for Hudson Valley they put this account on my credit and walked away. That is illegal. Each and everyone will be sued and apart of this case when it goes to court. I have filed a complaint with FTC, Indiana attorney general, who said I should take this court. And The BBB, after looking up complaints against CTU there were many and some were just like mine. I want this account closed and the harassment stopped. I feel this school needs to be reprimanded and not aloud to push people in to enrollment. An actual contract needs to be seen and signed. I feel this school needs to be stripped from being accredited . They act like thugs, this is a “ college” they should not be calling people and making threats. This entire deal was fraud. I want to make it clear, by CTU passing around my social security number is fraud. No one has the right to my credit report. This account should have been closed 2 years ago.
There is no judgment against me and CTU actions are against the law.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
They are a scam. They have 3 loans on my name, and I never applied to attend their school. I managed to find information online, and whoever the student is, canceled the classes; however, CTU kept the money.
I want to start a class action lawsuit.
embezzling of finacial aid funds
I have solid proof that this company is stealing money all I had to do was bring up the issue of them stealing my money and sit back and watch them attempt to explain themselves. I have many incriminating documents/emails of ctu explaining first how they sent my grants back, then how I never had one, and finally how I never qualified which a all blatant lies. They also stole two of my loan payments which they still have not admitted to having. They are stealing our money folks! Let me give you one of their scams. At the beginning of the year the school takes the students names that qualify for grants and turns them in. The school receives the grants in one lump sum for the student at the start of the year, now here's where thing get funky. The purposely lower your grade or fail you so they don't have to give you the grant which they keep in their pockets. So they use students names to make money and I have very solid proof and I'm guessing they know it because the president of the school contacted me personally. LoL He only said more incriminating to bury ctu even deeper. These folks are thieves but not smart enough to remember their last lie or cover their tracks. I have started an investigation and a classaction will be started soon so if your interested in standing up for your rights get in touch with me. Thanks for reading.
I am currently enrolled at CTU online, and being discriminated against for being poor. I just found out they have been getting Pell grants and scholarships for me and not giving me hardly any, as I am starving out here. HELP ME anybody. Thank you.
worthless &education&
Wow so many bad things to say about my experience at CTU. I realized after six months of attending CTU on-line that is a scam. These people should be ashamed of themselves for wasting tax payer money. I have found a newspaper article that anyone planning on attending any of these ridiculous on-line schools like CTU, ITT Tech, Westwood College or university...

While researching colleges both online & brick and mortar, I came across CTU and wanted to learn more. Their shady policy of not allowing full disclosure to course requirements until you have applied caused me to have to submit a $50 application fee and now I can't get the "college" to stop calling me. I quickly found that they are in it for the money and will require you to take multiple unnecessary courses as well as repeat previous courses that you took at other universities under the guise that the "title of the course at your previous school differs from theirs" all at a cost that is 15% higher than several other online programs I researched. Additionally, they are extremely disorganized and lost multiple personal papers of mine and were constantly asking that I resend files & forms that had private information on it. Who knows were those details have ended up. I cancelled my application over two weeks ago and am still getting unprofessional & disturbing phone calls. CTU will call you early (I’ve received 3 phone calls between 5am & 6am), late (I’ve received two calls after 10pm), and on the Sabbath (at 5:43am no less!) with complete disregard for your time preferences or requests to stop the harassment. This “college” is an unprofessional, disorganized sham and is only out to get your money.

how to stop ctu calls
5-18-10: 4:41pm It appears that CTU may be outsourcing their recruitment services to outside vendors. As a result CTU is in a negative position. If you want the calls to stop, here is another attempt you can make.
Call [protected]. It is the Ombudsman office for CTU. Currently a man by the name of Mr. George Rivera that seems to be genuine, and is willing to take action to prevent future calls from CTU agents.
If CTU continues to use this outsourcing as a method of recruiting students, using the bill collector method, I suspect CTU will need to consider changing their name every few years to keep US citizens from making the CTU connection.

harassing phone calls
Beware of higher education scams by ctu.
5-12-10, wife is online looking up education. She fills out the ctu survey, and provides our home phone number. She did not read the privacy disclosure. The disclosure informs the reader of the web site that a cookie will be added to the computer, so ctu and other third party companies will know what websites your computer visits. The disclosure also states that your personal information (Your phone number, address, etc.) will be provided to "responsible" 3rd party companies. This might explain why four education search companies have called non stop to talk to my wife.
5-13-10, ctu calls, doing a follow-up to see how they can help. Wife informs the scam company to cease and desist from making calls to our home.
5-14-10, ctu calls, asking for wife, and I the husband inform ctu to cease and desist. The lady from ctu insists she must talk to my wife. Phone call disconnected from our end.
5-17-10, 9:00am, ctu calls, asking for wife, and I the husband inform ctu that I have already requested a cease and desist from their calling center, and if calls persist, the police will be notified. Agent from ctu informs me that she will make a note in the computer. This would indicate to me their is a call log. (Crossing fingers)
5-17-10, 1:00pm, ctu calls, asking for wife. I asked who would like to speak to her. The lady gives me her first name (Acting as a friend), I asked the agent what company she was calling from. The agent repeats "is your wife available?", I again asked her the name of the company. The agent states she is calling from colorado technical university. I the husband, re-inform ctu that I have already requested a cease and desist from their call center, and that I will press *57 on my phone, have the call annoyance agency track their phone number, and when paperwork arrives from phone company, I will obtain a case number from our police department, and will file a formal complaint. The lady from ctu terminated the call from her end.
5-17-10, 1:30pm, knowing that the police process will take days, even weeks to complete, I make an attempt to contact a ctu call manger, or supervisor that might listen to reason, and take our phone number out of their system. Here are the steps taken.
1.) went to ctu website. No phone number is provided to contact their university. There is a red flag.
2.) research their name in connection with harassment on the net, and found this site, where I found a phone number left by a member.
3.) called ctu, and reached a "incoming" call center. Took a lot of patience, and several conversation angles before the phone representative would put me on hold to talk to his supervisor.
4.) the supervisor informed me that they do not have logs for outgoing calls, and I would need to call the main campus to stop out going calls.. She then gave me the number [protected]) and transfered me to the main campus.
5.) upon reaching the main campus number, a phone map gives several options, but none of them mention harassing calls. However, if you dont hit any number, you are transfered to a live agent.
6.) I explained to the live agent that I want to know how I deal with harassing calls to my home. I give the lady a brief run down of the events, and she responds with this reply "so your saying that you were accidentally called by one of our agents?" I informed her that I was not accidentally called, and she told me to hold one minute. She then transfers me to a voice mail of an individual without warning, and without providing the number of the voice mail I was put in contact with. The voice mail announcement give a name, no title. So she could have sent me to anyone's voice mail.
7.) I left a message regarding the issue on the voice mail, and waited for the voice mail program to prompt me to return to the operator for assistance if needed. Of course this company made sure their voice mail does not allow you to reconnect with a live operator.
To date, no call back.
In summary:
A.) the outgoing agents that call your home to sign you up and collect your money act mor elike rogue bill collectors that admissions representatives.
B.) the incoming agents that you call to complain about the outgoing agents seemed prepared to deal with call complaints from angry citizens, and do their best to deflect information that will assist you to solve the harassment.
C.) if your lucky enough to obtain the "main campus" number, you will not find a number for safety department, student union, information technologies. Another red flag.
D.) if your lucky enough to reach a "live agent" at the "main campus" you will be told that all those calls to your home was actually only one call, and it was a simple mistake by their call center. And then be transfered to voice mail of an unknown person, with an unknown title.
E.) be prepared to press *57 on your phone as soon as ctu hangs up with you, and call your police department.
Return to this post to hear the updates.
Addendum to complaint:
5-18-10, 9:30am, CTU calls, asking for wife, wife answers and informs CTU that our family has asked several times for CTU to cease and desist. The agent from CTU informs my wife that it takes 48 hours for our phone number to be removed from our system. Red Flag (If that was correct information, why has it been 144 hours from first complaint filed by our family?) Phone call disconnected from our end.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I am also dealing with this problem, and I used my own cell phone. The issue on my end isn't resolved, I can't get a hold of any agent it's just a dail tone.
I thought they were legit until I kept getting harassment calls from there robocall.
At this point I might have to switch over to a new phone number which I don't want to do. They bother me 15 x times a day leaving me robo voice-mails and fill up my memory voice-mail daily. I have to delete it constantly, which annoys me more.
If I call the police and report them they will fix the issue?
I'm in the same scenario. I've blocked them several times and it comes from a local number. I'm not a student nor have I ever been to their online site. My number is on the do not call registry. I'm about to redial the number 20x a day and harass them.
www.nomorobo.com/
They constantly call even though on numerous occasions I have told them we're not interested. So I used NOMOROBO (see link above) and it solved the problem. NOMOROBO intercepts the robo calls, identifies if an illegal robo call and after a brief message from nomorobo to the incoming robo call it hangs up on them. This has solved 99% of the calls we get from CTU and all other robo calls too. We get scammer calls and also collection calls for someone we don't even know. The only calls that get through are calls from real people and if we don't recognize them on caller ID or if there is no caller id we just ignore them. We went from receiving 80-100 calls a day to 1 or 2 a week. The robocallers eventually give up since they cannot get through. each time a robocaller tries, it rings just once and nomorobo intercepts. If it's an actual caller it allows it to go through, if not we hear just the one ring and we know it's working.
I agree if you request information on the School they can call. However once you are told to quit calling the calls need to quit. Not be told they will not quit calling until they speak to whoever requested the information. This has happen to me several times and my does not want to talk with CTU rep. The calls did stop for about a couple of weeks after I got nasty with them and threaten a lawsuit for harassment. Until today. This how I said Hello
This is not a scam. The number is from the corporate office. The are many numbers associated with the
I was planning on attending CTU online until they called my house to follow up on me requesting information. I was appalled at how downright nasty and rude they were. They hung up on me when I tried to tell them not to call anymore. One lady even called me a ### when I told her she couldn't speak to my boyfriend, who also requested information. Needless to say I will never attend their school and anyone who tells me they are going to is going to hear what I have to say about them. I will complain on every website and I even called their admissions line and told the lady I wanted a call from the president of the school or else I would file a complaint with the cops because they were harassing me. He called ten minutes later and I gave him a piece of what was on my mind.
First off CTU is a great school. The website privacy act also states that the recepient will only receive calls after agreeing to receive them in the first place. As far as the application fee it clearly states before the application is started that the $50.00 fee is a non-refundable fee. Even if you decide not to go you will not receive the fee back. As just like a court house even if found innocent you may still have to pay court cost as they do have to file the paperwork for future reference. I currently attend CTU and have had no problems. My last choice for a college was Everest University and I was charged $10, 000.00 for a six month period at Everest. At CTU I have only been charged $5, 400.00 for the same amount of time and a better education. I'm not only saving money but paying for a worth while education. They are regionally accredited and almost all employers will accept degrees from CTU. Everest no one will accept for any reason as they are national accreditted and don't have a very great score of a graduation rate or quality programs. The education board can not touch them as they are not regualted by the Dept. Of Education as CTU is regulated by them. You should research a school before even asking for information like I should have done to begin with. If you ask for information then you ask for the calls. I have never been harrased even after requesting the intial information. I waited a week before calling to enroll. During that time no one called continuosly and no one threaten me for not agreeing with them. My admissions advisor as well as my financial aid dept. for the military students are great. You should really find the true information before complaining. The website gives all the information needed to begin with and even includes a live chat without giving out personal information and gives the exact charge for each class that could be taken through their campus or online courses.
This is called rackateering and no less. Look it up. these people will hound you to death to get an enrollment. They do not even tell you the total amount that you are going to pay and if you tell them you have changed your mind you will never see your $50 dollars. Most of the people that work here ( I know first hand )are call center experts and that is what they have done their whole life. Except for a very few of them none of them know anything about advising. The call lists go round and round to different advisors and never stop. You are required to make several hundred calls a day. Most of the advisors just call and hang up, so that they can get there call quota for the day.
For the most part they take anyone who has $50 even if you cannot spell. They will help you fill out the application and tell you that they will help you with your success all the way through until you have a degree but after about two weeks you will not hear from them again.
They will lose there accredidation soon. Do not apply here!
I've had the same issues.
I have had the same problem with them. I told them I no longer wish to enroll in their school, however they keep calling. I have added 3 numbers to my call rejection list from their Illinois call center so far, but they keep finding another line to use. It is my opinion that if their school was any good they would not have to resort to such hard sale techniques.
I pulled up CTU's website, https://my.cs.coloradotech.edu/mycampus/index.aspx, and they do have a contact number. Their calls do sound more like a call center, and calling them does reach a similar environment.

A search for their safety office did send me straight to the Dept of Ed's Campus Security website.
They do not appear to have an accessible safety or security network, although they have plenty of portals for online chat with tech support, Admissions or other departments. Again, the complaint may be correct in asserting this all sounds like outsourced call centers.
Their accreditation is regional, which is a higher standard than national accreditation and should guarantee recognition and acceptance by any major school or employer.
would not remove me from enrollment
I went to school with them for a few months and I passed every class with an A. Then they put me into a statistics class. Which I did not understand. I called them and told them I was having problems and I recieved no help. SO they enrolled me into the same class with the same instructor. Again I had the same problem I would read and reread the information and just not understand it. I tried very hard to complete the class. Anyway I failed again. I asked them to put me in something else and they refused to let me. So I said I wanted to discontinue going to school. They said that I just had to stop attending classes. So I did. I went to make sure I was disenrolled and I wasn't. They billed me for 3700.00. Because they kept enrolling me into classes. I feel like they scammed me. I should have been able to take a lower lvl class leading up to statistics. They wouldn't allow this. I had never taken any type of college lvl math. I was really complex for me.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
This school has repeated called my number several times. They have called as much as five times in 10mins, back to back. I have informed them three times to cease and remove me from the calling list, and they have not complied. They are rude and insistent, I would never even consider them as a choice in education.
