This company is a scam, yet Gulf News Appointment has placed many job ads on behalf of them despite of many people complaining about their scam.
please dont give them 100 dhs or 150 dhs which they usually ask for, they are only making money on you.
They do not have any real jobs to offers anyone, they just make up fake interview calls and ...you are never selected by the client!..
I have live in UAE more than 20 years and have seen agencies like these steal your money by running 'illegal' business of charging you any kind of fees, before you visit such agencies please read this ..
"Recruitment Agencies warned against collecting fees from job-seekers
The Assistant Undersecretary at the Ministry of Labour, Humaid Bin Deemas, said that it is illegal to collect fees from jobseekers as it is against the Labour Law and agencies getting into such practices will be shut down.
Bin Deemas mentioned that charging fee from job-seekers for acting as a broker between employers and the job-seeker is considered illegal not only under the law of UAE, but also under the international law and the ministry has the right to shut down all agencies involved in such an act.
The Minister of Labour, Dr. Ali Abdullah Al Ka’abi, has expressed anger over the manner in which such recruitment agencies are operating and mentioned that any individual who has fallen as a victim to such agencies should report to the ministry immediately. As an initiative to stop such practices, the Ministry has stopped granting licenses to any new companies for two years."
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I got a call yesterday from a Filipina staff of Core Elements 13th May 2009 around 4:30 in the afternoon and she asked me to come for an interview on Saturday 16th May 2009 at 12:30 in the afternoon. But then I forgot to asked her where is the exact location of the interview takes place. She told me that she will going to send me an SMS regarding the location so they send me this:"CORE ELEMENTS - Office#503, 5th Flr. Crowne Plaza Office Tower, Sheikh Zayed Rd. Dubai. Date: 16th May, Saturday. Contact No.[protected]. Interviewer: Ms. Arifa Avan. Wish you all the best. Without stating that the job seekers need to pay some amount for the registration fees, etc.. Like in my case i was staying here in Abu Dhabi and we all know how much i will use for the bus & taxi fare. And I was so disappointed because the lady whose calling for an interview is also a Filipina how could she take all this? She do know also that we are Filipino & other nationalities needs a job for a living, . I know that Arifa Avan and Aria who post her comments here are the same person. Granted, if we don't want to pay the registration fee we can just leave your office but the thing is from the time we got called from your office, better tell the job seekers that they need to bring extra money for the registration fees. So that from their house they can decided either they will go for an interview or not. I feel sorry also for the people from Abu Dhabi just like me to spent how many dirhams just to go to Dubai for an interview. And I realize also that they don't have any website & the telephone landline ([protected]) they are using is different from the number ([protected]) i received yesterday. I checked their website in the internet and what i found out is the Core Elements dubai Complaints - job scam I was so thankful that from this site I realize that this company is a SCAM! And I feel mad also because I was so excited for the interview and I tell to all my friends as well.. Please to all the people in Ministry of Labour please do something about this! Thanks and more power to dubaiunderground..
I was called by Core Elements for an interview, when I first reached their office, the first thing i nticed is that it seemed like a temporary office...there were a light box at the reception advertising a real estate project! I am in Marketing and I know how much such a light box cost: it is expensive and I do not think they put it for ''decoration'' purposes!
Also, this girl named Jodi Van Der Bylt! This is deffinitley not her real name: she looks Asian(Indian probably), I let you think about that.
At first, she couldn't find my CV nor my email address, and after a looong while, she found it, she asked me one single question: can you tell me about your experience? I was talking, she was not even listening or interested. I guess she was preparing the membership form while I was talking and after a few minutes, she offered me the membership, preared the form and asked me how I want to pay by cash or credit card...here I was sure it is a scam because I know in advance, as per my experience in the country, that recruitment agencies are not allowed to ask candidates for money...THIS IS SIMPLY AGAINST THE LAW...which makes them frauders and scamers...ofcourse, I refused to pay and told her: get me a job interview and then will see about the membership...she said they are allowed to send my CV only to one company that I applied for (she didn't know which job I applied for ofcourse) and said, she will call me after a week, ofcourse she never did...
Aria, I do not know who you are, but one comment on your long post: if it is forbidden by the law to collect money from candidates, then recruitment agencies are NOT ALLOWED to collect money from candidates!
For everyone, please DO NOT PAY anything and keep your eyes open for such scams, these criminals use people's misery to collect money and this is unforgivable. May Allah punish these hideous practises and people.
Please use well known recruitment agencies who really have jobs and contacts, the process may be long and competition srong, but at least you have a chance to get something at the end and never waste money you need to use to survive.
Do not go into dispair and allow these scamers to add to your suffering.
Good luch everbody and may God bless.
Dear all, me and one of my friends, have given the membership fees to these people, of dhs 150, they told they will help us to find a job and that they have a database containing of all companies whom they will send my cv. Ultimately after a week, they sent me a mail, saying unfortunately our clients are looking for a position of your background.
Can you please let me know, if I want to complain about this then where should I go and complain to the municipality. These days they are using people's misery because they don't have a job and charging them with money.
let me know on my email: maheshg25@gmail.com
This place is a complete waste of time. They first offer you something very similar to what you are doin & getting in terms of salary & benefits. then they offer you about three better offers, but the clause is that you have to pay AED 150/- for them to send your CV to these better jobs. the worst is that they dont bother where you are coming from, they even invite ppl from abu dhabi & other emirates. They even make you wait for an hour for you to talk to someone. there is no mobile phone coverage at all. Please dont waste your times goin to this place. Most unprofessional ppl. They told me that they couldnt send me an email as they were having a problem with Outlook & cud only send sms'. What a waste of time.
I got a call yesterday as well from Core Elements, and when i asked them more about the job, she just said its in the same field as you are and she dint have any details. They send me an SMS at night with the interviewer being Arline Sebastian (maybe this lady keeps changing her name). I looked up the internet to find this company because i dint remember applying to Core Elements, i wonder how they got my contact details. Thats when i found this blog (and many more like this) and thank god i am not wasting my time and money on going for this fraud interview. Thanks guys.
even me, i was scheduled for an interview today at their deira office (21st century bldg). thank God i mentioned this to a friend and learned that she was called there for an interview a couple of months back only to be asked a registration fee of AED150, (she was only able to pay AED100) and never heard from them since.
i googled and read all these comments (that Aria lady must be definitely from Core!) it totally convinced me not to show up at all.
i'll stick with my current job for now. :)
they just call me yesterday evening telling the same thing. So what i did a while ago i call them to confirm and check the company. And luckily i did found it is a scam. sorry for the victims we just hope that the goverment take action on this scam.anyway, this is the number who call me up, [protected].i hope someone will track them through the phone number given...
am totally shocked and puzzzled and the information am getting from this website, but i totally agree with some of the information i have seen. first all i attended an interview they took some time reply for all information regarding my interview follow up but finally after two months i got a call in acompany in jebel ali regarding a executive secretary job but at this moment my visa had already expired and i missed the chance for this oppturnity which core elements had linked me with but all in all i don't blame core elements i blame my friends who discouraged me not to go to core but when i realised my visa is due to expire and nothing to loose i did attend an interview with desperession act but all is not lost vinsta world wide are processing my visa and hopefully by next month i will be back in dubai...so please stop all these and realise that everyone has a luck leaning on the side just waiting for that time when you need the most...Rhapsody
Reply to rhapsody.. i just want na ask how much did they pay to u.. to say this stopid comments.. or if thats true... maybe there consciense attaking them every night thats why they just washing there hands. Imagine 2 months, but me 7 months finished nothing at all.. Will good luck
Today i.e. 18/05 they called me too to come for interview with manager Ms. Jodi Van Der, evenrhough i have not applied for any such vacancy. But fortunately i checked on net and got to know the reality. I save my time and money both. I will not go there now.Don't know how come they are still away from authourities in dubai, they must be stopped.
Thank you so much to all of you for prompting us. Thanks a lot
I received a call yesterday from "Core Elements"
The person calling was "Leona".
She told that the interview is in dubai but then I stated that I would prefer to work in Abu Dhabi. So she said that they have a placement in Abu Dhabi as well.
What was strange was that when I told her that at the moment I'm too buzy with work and driving school, she insisted and asked me when can she call back.
I told her next week - 25th May and she readily agreed.
I believe they get incentives - and the employees too are aware of this.
What say Aria?!
No one takes such a pain to defend an agency by writing out that huge post unless you yourself are a part of the monkey business.
Say no to "Bull ###" friends...
Pass on the word in your office and if you want any more details on this scam, email me (trystwithlife@hotmail.com)
Mohit (AUH)
I got a call yesterday and they asked me to come for the interview today morning 11:30. And the venue details were sent to me through sms at croewn plaza hotel. . I was confused and thought of checking abt this comp.. Thanks to god now that i saved my 150 dhr now... Thank u frns
madhu
I also got a call from this so called company today, 20/05/2009 at 1350, First I thought it is an employer calling me directly by searching my CV which was posted with several recruitment agencies when I was searching for a job around 6 months back while I was in a job. As I was already in a good job now and the call was during a nap, I have immediately declined the call saying I am already placed somewhere in Dubai. But I did felt something fishy, because the lady who called me did tell me that, "She is calling from a 'company' & her general manager shortlisted my CV for a position", this is somewhat deceiving, as she should tell me that she is calling me from a job consultancy not from a company. As soon as we hear 'company & General Manager', without any hesitation, we will definitely think it is an employer. Since I felt something fishy, I immediately search the internet & I found out this blog.
As for others who are searching for jobs, don't pay anything to any recruitment agencies. The payment should be made by our potential employers for availing services of such recruitment agencies, not by ourselfs. That's what exactly I did.
However, as I have not attended their interview, hence I can't comment further. I already shared with you what I felt about them.
May Allah save us all from such malpractising people.
Rafiq

Hye guys Also i got a call yesterday from CoreElements and they sent me SMS... I am totally agree with all of you because there are many comments from many ppl, We can avoid if there is only some bad comments ... But it seems every1 had bad exprience with them...

23/05/2009 we got a call for an interview with one of the retail companies in UAE. The General Manager of the Company was going to interview us in Crowne PLaza Offices Bldg, SZR.
You got the hint!...:))
Perhaps, global recession struck CORE ELEMENTS very badly and they are very desperate for money.
Let me go today to these poor people's office and donate 150 dhs!...:))
anyway guys, be careful of these kind of general managers( I guess her name was Arifa Avan) and their partners like Aria, ...
mr.jobseeker
Ok, I have returned with my experience...
At first I was really excited about having an interview for a Customer Service Manager role, and was all prepared for Sunday and my meeting with Arifa. However, I went on to google to check the website for the company ( I'm new to dubai and like to know what the buildings look like before I turn up) and typed in Core Elements. The first 2 hits were related to the company and the 3rd and 4th were for this site - I am so glad I had a look at this site now!
I didn't want to believe that my interview was a scam so I decided to attend anyway, but I firstly wanted some info from the company before I wasted my taxi fare. I tried to call the number that I got in my text message but this was not in use (!) and then I tried to call the numbers I was called from previously - no answer or permanently engaged! I just thought "what the hell" and went anyway.
I was ushered into a small waiting room in the office and then told to wait for my appointment (which was 10.30am). I was eventually seen at 11am which in my opinion is quite unprofessional to keep someone waiting unless you advise them first that you may be late. Anyway, I went into the meeting room with Arifa and she introduced herself, etc and started asking me questions. I stopped her initially and asked if I was going to have to pay for their services as I was not prepared to do the interview if it wasn't going to be passed on without me paying. She assured me that I could pay for their services if I wanted additional things (actually what ordinary recruitment companies do for free!) and the interview would still be counted as it was separate from the service - I had applied online for the job previously.
Ok, the interview started. Then finished. It last about 7 minutes in total and during this time I felt that Arifa was not listening to what I was saying. No notes were taken during the meeting, and at one point she even read an email whilst I was explaining something to her - I could see her eyes moving over the screen after clearly hearing the standard email beep! The questions asked were very generic and not specific to the role. I was not given any info regarding the role or the company, despite asking for this info.
Overall, I was not impressed with the service offered. I am glad I did not pay the 150AED charge for basically what normal recruitment agencies do for free. Besides, companies are not actually allowed to charge for their service like this - it is against the law and how Core Elements have managed to get away with it for so long, and continue to get away with it is beyond me!
I just feel sorry for the people that haven't already done some research into the company and are then going to go and give them money. I for one cannot afford to pay that sort of money - imagine if every recruitment agency charged money for their services...
I'm just very disappointed that I may have wasted 50AED on the taxis I used.
Good luck to those of you who will continue to use such places...
Hi
I got a similar call yesterday & met them today.I had not gone through the these remarks so I also paid Dhs 150. After coming back, I checked the site & found these remarks.
Had I have been aware I wouldn't have paid the money. Nevertheless I went back to these people & took back my money. They returned it as I had not availaled any services.
My suggestion to all those who feel cheated should go & ask for their refund.
Cheers
Yogi
hi all!..thanks for your comments. got a call from them today asking me to come tomo for an interview at crown plaza office, sheikh zayed road to be interviewed by Jodi..if this is what 'm gonna get, then i'm not gonna go..and also u good ppl saved 150 aed which otherwise i might have paid..take care..
I was still sleeping when my phone rang at 9:o7 a.m May 25, 2009. When i answered the call a lady on the other line told me that i have to show up myself the next day for an interview. I even told her that i just recently resigned from my job and i am holding a transferable visa. But as i was about to ask her the details and inquire too what vacancy they have for me, she interupted me and told me that the details will just be sent through sms late in the afternoon. As far as i am concern, i know what are the companies i sent my CV's to and i dont remember applying to CORE ELEMENT. I was just wondering where they get my number? Bad for me for i am living in Al Ain...imagine how much time, money, and efford i will be wasting if i go there for nothing. Besides, they shouldn't be asking for any amount for a membership fee or whatever fees they may have from any applicants 'coz its against UAE Law. If this is somehow true, then they should find us a job first and deduct whatever amount they want to charge us for a month or two of our salary. I thank God for giving me a presence of mind to check it on Google. Thank you guys for all the information.
By the way, this is the content of the sms i recieved from them:

Thanks guys for the info, i got a call to attend an interview on 1th june 09. atleast i have some money for not attending this.
Many tanks to you friends. today i also get a call & sms for the location. I was dought for that.
Dear friends,
I got a call from core elements on 05/03/09 to attend the interview. i was excited to attended the interview for the position of stores in charge. When I was there, the person who interviewed me told that your profile will match to other position which is purchase officer in jafza. She even told me about the package, it was AED 9000 + Company car + company petrol + company parking.
Later she asked me to pay the fee. I have given my credit card to swipe for the amount of AED 150. She swiped and the amount was AED 155. I signed the bill and returned back.
When i got the credit card bill, shocked to see the amount was taken twice. It’s cheating. I have signed on only one receipt but they claimed two times money from my card.
I visited their office with the statement to get money back but until now there is no reply.
Please do not use credit cards at core elements
Best regards,
Reddy
Hello
Yse they charged me 150 AED, and charged my firend too . after that they stopped showing up .
Thanks Guys, I had the same sms's and I was just googling and discovered these facts...No Way...all the above comments should be listed under criminal actions, do not why they are kept working here...anyway, I was supposed ti visit them in half an hour, but again thank you for the valuable comments and advices...I will try from my side to raise the issue with the concerned local authorities and see what will happen, we do not need more ...by the way, my proposed interviewer name is AFSHAN...what a name in ARABIC !
Thank you so much the info.. I just received a call from them and an sms too... I came here in google check their website before atending the interview..
Hi All,
I was at CORE ELEMENTS today and what all you said was told to me also.
MY QUESTION TO YOU ALL AND MINISTRY OF LABOUR,
SIMPLE EXAMPLE LIKE - IF YOU PARK YOUR CAR WITH HAZARD IN A DISABLE PARKING (5-6 DISABLE PARKING SLOTS AND ALL ARE VACANT) COPS WILL GIVE A TICKET!
SO MANAY COMPLAINTS ABOUT CORE ELEMENTS BUT STILL IT'S FUNCTIONING AT CROWN PLAZA, 5TH FLOOR IN SHEIKH ZAYED ROAD... YOU ALL THINK THAT MINISTRY OF LABOUR DOSEN'T KNOW THIS...
WHY THE UAE GOVERNMENT OR MINISTRY OF LABOUR HAS NOT COMMENTED ON ANY OF THE COMPLAINTS?
++++++++++++++ SO MY REQUEST IS LABOUR MINISTER TO COMMENT ON THIS COMPANY +++++++++++++
Hi guys,
An hour ago i got a call from a philipino saying that my cv was seen by her general manager 2-3 months back and now they have an opening ...I was wondering that i have started looking for job just 2 days ago and howcome they got my cv 2-3 months back.
she suspiciouly asked me whether i have received any call from them before, she also was in a hurry to keep the phone down.
i than immediately checked the site and found the scam.
thanx a lot for this blog, lot of jobseekers must have saved their money thru this awaremess created by a good responsible person.
God bless you all
Today, me too got a call from these guys, they told me, i had applied for a position earlier, thats y they got my cv. They had called me tomw at crown plaza hotel, through SMS, interviewer, Arlian sebastian. Thank you guys for posting this, i am ignoring this interview.
It happened with me also...someone called me yesterday for an interview and sms me about the location...my question is where the police and government behind such companies? really they should take serious action toward this core Elements company..imagine they have website, calling, and cheating people...
thank you all wonderful people, for passing on the information & help desperate jobseekers like me not having to end up paying these scamsters for nothing. i did have an interview scheduled with core elements tomorrow & after reading most of the posts i think i better give it a miss. i got a call from Raymond initially for the interview & then guess a filipino female called Jodie(or joile), who still makes excuses sending me the details that i ask her regarding the job. guys beware...n good luck!
Holy saying that The BEST Among you is the one who servers others/fellowmen nicely.
Thanks for all of you.
Two days before I also got a call for interview from their side. This was my second chance to see cheater.
There one another company AL KABAS or AL Qabas (may be mis spelled) in Crystal Plaza in Sharjah. They call me 1 year before and offer me 1 best salary job in 10 days. Their charge is for registering is 100 AED then I was new at that time and also 1 month left in my visa so I ask the lady Ms Allia (Pakistani). That I have 300 AED with me for this remianing month of visit visa. Is it true that your company will provide me job (I ask her in favor as Pakistani).
She replied very honest and politly that yes yes you are very lucky that you got this. Then I paid. 100 AED After 4-5 days they called me again Then I went directly to Miss Allia she was not paying me attention and refusing for any information. She told me I refered your case to Mr.Imran (Pakistani). She asked me to visit him, I replied OK and go to Mr.Imran. He just see my document and ask me to pay 500 AED. I told him story that I have no 500 AED, Miss Allia told me that only 100 AED intial charge but nothing later. Thats why I give her 100 AED. He replied that if you pay we will arrange interview otherwise he will not arrange. I again requested him and he replied ok I will check with my GM and will inform you soon. ok bye
NOW I request the Ministry oh Labour UAE as well as POLICE to please stop them as the person coming from homeland are innocent and helpless they paid 1-2 lakh of thier currency/contry by selling their home/land/shop or some oramintes then they can unwillingly pay 100, 200 AED to find job.
Please please stop them. We all must keep in mind our end in life what we will answer to ALLAH.
Hi All,
Thanks a lot for this post. Today i received a call from Core Elements Management Consultancy and the lady said that they are a management consultancy and their manager wants to interview me for a potential job. They asked me to come to their Sheikh Zayed Rd office and said details will be send via sms to my mobile number (i had placed a gulf news ad).
I just did a google search, and thanks to their reputation, the complaints about them precedes their company website!. Thanks to this forum, i didn't spend unnecessary time and money in this company.
Another company of this sort can be Royal Index (royalindexuae.com) working in Habib Bank Zurich Building, Bank Street, Bur Dubai. They responded to my Gulf News Ad and asked me to come for an interview. After the interview they called me next day and said i am shortlisted and have to come for 3 days training, after which they will decide whether to take me or not. They said its a forex trading company and my job is to get potential customers to open account with them. They didn't ask for any money, but i doubted whether its a genuine employment. I was not clear about their business model and when i inquired, i learned that almost all the job seekers in Dubai has got an interview call from them. Many of them attended the training and left in 2-3 days feeling something fishy. I repeatedly see their ads in gulf news, in different format, in different names, different email ids, multiple ads same day. I myself got atleast 10 interview calls from the same company from different people.
Separately, i found that Jobs in Dubai (josbindubai.com) had some good potential jobs listed in their website. But to apply for the jobs i had to register paying AED 300, which i did. I applied for many jobs, but didn't get even one reply from any of the employers. It may be because my CV was not shortlisted, but considering the fact there were many jobs which directly matched with my experience, it seems to be having remote chance. I found out later that most of the employment agencies and job sites don't charge job seekers here.
Please do not trust the following companies and do not pay single fills/pani.

Al Qabas International is a scam, yet Gulf News Appointment has placed many job ads on behalf of them despite of many people complaining about their scam
hi all,
i got a call too and an sms.. i was planning to visit tomorrow for the interview and was just checking the profile of the company..
well... needless to say that its going to ask for money and land me NO job.. but i will go.. i will go to see how people can be greedy to get money from those who are needy..
trust me guys.. i am gonna take them for a ride to take the revenge for all of you who paid them money...
cheers.. Abu..
im not sure if this is a genuine company .. in sharjah al buhaira corniche.. the moment i entered their office i could just smell cigarette their and nothing else so unorganized.. smoke all over the office. they charged me 100 dhs ... as i was short of money .. the next thing they asked me was to send the rest of the amount through sms on to the accountant mobile number. for a second i was surprised by what they said. Now again i received a call and was informed that i have to pay again dhs 300 and when i asked for the details of the company, the person said once you come here i would let you have all the details.
after keeping his phone i just did a google search and this is what i am reading through which is just unbeleiveable.
Core Elements also called me for an interview, the first and only call in the past 2 months of applying- thank god by the time of the call i was not in Dubai, so I asked to call them back- since then, I could never reach "Mel", the recruiter, she was always "busy" or "on another line". By coincidence a friend of mine tells me he just received a call for an interview from Core Elements, so we kind of felt this can not be normal! so they must be calling EVERY single job applicant in Dubai who has listed his CV online. My friend went and was asked to pay the 150AED for the "Gold Membership". When I heard this I googled them and found this website confirming this information.
I dont know how these people can still be operating, after so many complaints? It must have hurt thousands of desperate job applicants and is upsetting me like crazy, although i didnt pay the money.
Unless this matter is brought to the ministry of labour with everyone who has experienced this showing up in person filing a complaint nothing can and will happen...these horrible people will keep getting away with it.
Thanks to everyone who makes an effort and at least posts their complaint online to warn at least other people who are smart enough to google this company.
