Pointless Insurance
Had been a customer for a number of years paying a lot of money (£400/year) for a complete package of protection so I thought we should be ok but when we actually needed them our policy was magically not covered. A radiator came off the wall and wasn't covered because it was "incorrectly installed" eh? It was on there for 13 years prior to that and 8 years before we even bought the house...Engineer ended up fixing it privately and he was a nice guy - but dealing with Corgi was like pulling my own teeth out, I went through the pointless complaints procedure - no one gave a [censored] don't waste your money.
Unreliable and Untrustworthy: My Experience with CORGI HomePlan
I gotta say, I had a pretty bad experience with CORGI HomePlan. They're supposed to be a reliable company, but I found out the hard way that they're not worth the money. They'll do anything to avoid paying out for a breakdown, even if it's covered in your policy. It's like they have a whole book of excuses ready to go.
I wouldn't recommend using them at all. They're just a bunch of cowboys who don't care about their customers. Save yourself the hassle and go with someone else. Trust me, you'll thank me later.
Disappointing Experience with CORGI HomePlan: Shoddy Service and Rip-Off Fees
I gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed with CORGI HomePlan. I've been paying them ?15 a month for their service, but when my boiler started having problems, they charged me ?60 just to come out and take a look. And get this - they couldn't even fix the darn thing! To make matters worse, I had recently had my boiler serviced and they found a fault, but never bothered to come back and fix it.
I've had enough of their shoddy service, so I decided to cancel my policy. But get this - they had the nerve to charge me a ?60 cancellation fee! What a rip-off. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. Be careful if you're thinking of using them.
Corgi HomePlan Review: Untrustworthy and Negligent Boiler Insurance Company
Corgi HomePlan is a company that offers insurance for boilers. I had a problem with my boiler and called them for help. However, I found out that they had been informed by their gas safe engineers about potential problems with policy holders' boilers, but they did not advise me about it. They just continued to charge me for insurance.
I was the twelfth engineer to call to an open vented boiler that was not installed correctly. The boiler was unable to 'vent' normally, which is a life-threatening situation. It was a scary experience for me and my family.
I think we need to get together and sort the trade out. It's not fair that companies like Corgi HomePlan can get away with this kind of behavior. We pay for insurance to protect ourselves, but they don't even bother to inform us about potential problems.
Overall, I would not recommend Corgi HomePlan to anyone. They are not trustworthy and do not have their customers' best interests at heart. It's important to do your research and find a company that you can trust to take care of your boiler.
Disappointing Experience with Corgi HomePlan: No Heating or Hot Water for Almost a Week
HomePlan.
I had a really bad experience with Corgi HomePlan. The engineer came on the first day and found a fault. He told me what part was needed and how much it would cost. But when he tried to get the repair authorised by Corgi, they said it was too expensive and that Ideal Boilers would have to do it.
I was really upset when I found out that Ideal wouldn't be able to come for another six days. My wife and I are both pensioners and we rely on our heating and hot water. It's going to be really cold tonight and we don't know what to do.
I'm really disappointed with the service from Corgi HomePlan. I thought they would be able to help us when we needed it most. But instead, they've left us without any heating or hot water for almost a week. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone.
Unhappy with CORGI HomePlan's Renewal Policy and Customer Service
I gotta say, I'm not too happy with CORGI HomePlan. My plan is set to renew on February 1st, 2023, but I don't want to renew. The thing is, even if I cancel my Direct Debit, they say the plan will still continue and I'll owe them money. That's not cool, man. I've talked to four different people and they all say they can't help me and need to transfer me somewhere else. It's like they don't even care about me, you know?
So, I decided to write a cancellation letter on January 9th. And I've been emailing them every single day for the past eleven days. But I haven't gotten any acknowledgement of my cancellation request yet. I mean, sometimes I get an automated response, but not every time. What's up with that?
Honestly, if this isn't their policy, then their admin is just plain awful. It's enough to make me want to warn other customers to stay away.
Disappointing Service from CORGI HomePlan: Slow Response and Poor Communication
I recently had an experience with CORGI HomePlan and I must say, it was not a pleasant one. I had an issue with my boiler and contacted them for assistance. They promised to send an engineer the same day, but unfortunately, that did not happen. Instead, they sent an engineer the next day, which was a bit disappointing.
The engineer came and did some work on the boiler, but it only worked for a few hours before breaking down again. I contacted them again, and they promised to send another engineer the day after. So, I had to endure five days without hot water, which was quite frustrating.
The second engineer came and diagnosed the problem as a faulty PCB. He replaced it, and everything seemed to be working fine. However, just five minutes later, he came back and said that they would not pay for the PCB and removed it. They said they would have the manufacturer repair the boiler, which was quite confusing.
Overall, I was not impressed with the service I received from CORGI HomePlan. It took almost a week to fix a problem that should have been resolved the same day. I understand that there may have been a small difference in the cost of the part, but I feel that they could have handled the situation better.
In conclusion, I would not recommend CORGI HomePlan to anyone looking for reliable boiler repair services. Their service was slow, and their communication was poor. I hope they can improve their services in the future to avoid disappointing their customers.
Disappointing experience with CORGI HomePlan - lack of communication and support during boiler breakdown
So, I had a bit of a rough experience with CORGI HomePlan. I had an engineer come out on a Thursday to take a look at my boiler, and he said he needed to order some parts. I got a call on Monday saying that the engineer would be coming on Tuesday, which was fine, but when he arrived, he didn't seem to know anything about the parts that needed to be ordered. He spent some time looking for a leak, but eventually said that the boiler was beyond repair. This was after another engineer had said that it would be a simple two-hour job to fix.
Since then, I've had no luck getting in touch with CORGI HomePlan. I've been on hold for over an hour and a half, and no one seems to be answering the phone. This has left me and my 75-year-old parents without heating or hot water during one of the coldest snaps in years. It's really frustrating, especially since CORGI HomePlan has been servicing our boiler for years and told us after the last service that there were no issues and it should be fine for years to come. But just a few months later, when we hadn't even been using the boiler very much, we were told that it was a write-off.
Overall, I feel really let down by CORGI HomePlan. We've been paying for an annual service contract for years, and it seems like it hasn't been worth it. I understand that things can go wrong, but the lack of communication and support from CORGI HomePlan has been really disappointing. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
Disappointing Service from Corgi HomePlan: Major Issue with Faeces Not Resolved
I've been a customer of Corgi HomePlan for the past decade and I must say, I'm extremely disappointed with their service. For the past two weeks, I've been dealing with a major issue of faeces next to my back door and in my garden. Despite paying for their cover, the problem has not been resolved. I had a technician come to clear the blockage, but unfortunately, he ended up damaging the pipe, which has now resulted in my garden being filled with faeces. As a disabled person, this has been extremely difficult for me to deal with, and I've been trying to contact them at least once a day to resolve the issue.
However, I've been met with nothing but frustration. They keep transferring me back and forth between different teams and departments, and I've been told to get someone else to do the job. They haven't even clarified who will pay for the cost. I've been waiting for a call back from someone named Lawrie for the past week, but I haven't received any response. It's been a nightmare dealing with Corgi HomePlan, and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
To make matters worse, they've been blaming others for the issue and have had two or three different companies come to visit, all of whom have said that Corgi is responsible and should do the work. I've even had to complain to Environmental Health as this is a health hazard not just for me but for the whole community. I can't even open my door or use my garden because of the human waste, which has attracted rats, bugs, and other pests.
I'm unable to go to the Financial Ombudsman as I have to wait eight weeks from my initial complaint. It's a frustrating and stressful situation, and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. I urge you to stay away from this company and not to look at the photos as they might make you sick.
Mixed Experience with CORGI HomePlan: Advanced Cover, Reasonable Cost, but Hit or Miss Service
I've been with CORGI HomePlan for a few years now and I gotta say, it's been a bit of a rollercoaster ride. I mean, sure, their cover level is pretty advanced and the cost is reasonable at ?231.96, but the service can be hit or miss.
Just last week, our Combi started leaking and we had to call in an engineer. They diagnosed a major part that needed replacing, but then a W/Bosch engineer came in and said that the flue needed replacing too. So they switched off our boiler for safety reasons and we were left without hot water. And let me tell you, being in our 60s, that's not something we can just brush off.
The corgi engineer finally came in on Wednesday to replace the glue, but then we had to wait and wait for them to call us back. Eventually, I had to call them myself and they didn't even know what was going on. They finally booked us for Friday, but even then, it was a mess. They sent a text saying the engineer would arrive between 7am and 6pm, but then changed it to 09:40 & 12:40, and then to 13:40. And when we called them at 17:30 to ask where they were, it was just excuse after excuse after excuse.
To top it all off, the CS manager never called us back at 6pm like they said they would. So now we have to wait until Monday to get anyone to rebook our boiler repair. It's just frustrating, you know?
Overall, I'd say CORGI HomePlan is decent, but they definitely have some kinks to work out. If you're looking for a reliable home cover service, you might want to look elsewhere.
Corgihomeplan's Non-Service: Boiler Issue Not Covered, Tried to Sell New Boiler Instead
So, I had a bit of a run-in with Corgihomeplan recently. I've been a customer of theirs for 7 years, and I thought I was fully covered for any issues with my boiler. But when I called them to report a problem with the heat exchanger, they told me it wasn't covered because it wasn't wired correctly. This was news to me, as the boiler had been running just fine for all those years.
To make matters worse, the representative I spoke to then tried to sell me a new boiler from a sister company, with only a ?400 discount. I was pretty unhappy with this non-service, especially since I was left with no hot water or heating. So I decided to call in a Gas Safe friend of the family to take a look.
And you know what? He diagnosed the problem as the central heating pump, which he said was running slow. He changed it out, and within 1.5 hours everything was running perfectly. This was a far cry from Corgihomeplan's suggestion of getting a whole new boiler, which could have cost me thousands of pounds out of pocket.
I've attached a video of the boiler working and a picture of the new pump, so you can see for yourself. And I've also requested that Corgihomeplan refund me in full and cancel my policy, since they weren't willing to fix the problem without me paying for it. It seems to me that if they're not willing to honor their policy, then it's not really worth having.

Mixed Experience with CORGI HomePlan: Monthly Payment Plan vs. Expensive Call Out Fees and Hit-or-Miss Workmanship
corgeyhomeplan.co.uk is a bit of a mixed bag. On one hand, they do offer a monthly payment plan that can help you save up for those unexpected home repairs. But on the other hand, their call out fees can be quite expensive. And if you do end up needing a repair, the quality of the work can be a bit hit or miss.
Personally, I've had some bad experiences with CORGI HomePlan. I've had to call them out a few times, and each time it's been a bit of a hassle. The engineers they send out can be a bit unprofessional and don't always seem to know what they're doing. I've had to deal with some shoddy workmanship in the past, which is never fun.
That being said, I do appreciate the fact that CORGI HomePlan offers a payment plan. It can be helpful to have a bit of money set aside each month for those unexpected repairs. But if you're looking for a reliable, professional service, I would recommend looking elsewhere.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend CORGI HomePlan. While they do have some good points, the negatives outweigh the positives in my opinion. If you're looking for a trustworthy home repair service, it's probably best to save up your money and pay for a professional when you need to.
