To Whom It May Concern, Costco has not resolved anything with us. I have never been treated so poorly and have decided to tell my story online on all social media platforms and other places. All I was doing was simply trying to check out and here is what happened. Worst experience I have ever had at the Costco in Palm Desert, CA. I was treated with such disrespect. Julie was the worst cashier I have ever met. It was after 1 pm on 11/7/23. She had the energy of being rather snobbish to begin with. She had a problem with me and my partner each paying for half of our order each. I have to wonder if it was because we are a same sex couple? We are in the same household and each have a Costco card. So not sure why she had a problem with us paying. She literally said each individual had to pay for exact items. She was 100% in the wrong here. If she is getting some kind of bad information from corporate, then they have a bigger problem than just this bad cashier. I will not be back. I demanded that my membership be cancelled, and I will be contacting not just corporate but also the board of directors. Next Julie called over what was supposed to be a manager, her name is Claudia, and she did nothing but escalate the situation until I was even more upset that we simply just couldn't pay for our food and leave. Instead, she got snotty and cancelled our order. Another reason I will not be back. I will not be treated so poorly when I am spending hundreds of dollars and often. So next I went over to try and get a real manager and I got Brad and to be quite honest, he didn't care about how poorly we were treated either. He did nothing that I know of. I know I did nothing wrong as they sold me the membership with two cards to be used in my household and yet they won't let us use them? Again, horrible & poor service all the way around and so glad I walked out with all my cash and my membership cancelled. I hope others will consider closing down their memberships too and make a stand if you are mistreated too. Update: Costco had someone call me and they offered me nothing. Said they were going to talk to the employees, but I would bet that will do absolutely no good as they need to have corporate change their ways and how they are telling their employees to crack down on card sharing. They are not trained in customer service and how to treat the public, that is so obvious to me! Maybe they only want the wealthy as clients? I have read that in complaints before about them. I will tell everyone for the rest of my life not to give Costco their business as they just do not care how their customers feel. Shame on your Costco! I guess this is how they treat the elderly who do not look as pretty as the blonde cashier who was so rude to the 3 of us. I have been physically sick since this happened. I will continue to post this on all social media sites as long as it takes to make sure some cancel their memberships. Again, my family did nothing wrong but try and pay our bill and this is the thanks we get. I hope someone is corporate even cares a little to look into all the one star reviews that Costco gets but I doubt it. I also will continue to leave one-star reviews on Yelp. They need to change telling their employees to treat customers this way that try to pay with both of their cards. They have gone too far with trying to crack down on card sharing. It's absolutely ridiculous. Something behind the scenes is very wrong at this company! Whoever is reading this, please make a stand and don't give them any of your hard-earned money and cancel your memberships! Thank you for your time in reading this.

Stop treating customers with such disrespect and train their employees on how to act properly. They have taken the card sharing training too far! This has to change.
