On August 22, 2019 I received a letter from you stating that my company had a returned check from Winn Dixie-Bi-Lo. When I researched the check the bank had no record of the check being returned and did not have any record of it period. There would usually be a NSF sent along with a fee but there was no record at my bank at all of this check. I searched my...

CPS Security unethical behavior

Dear. CPS:
I am Mr. Thomas Roy Vandivier. I completed my CPS security application online Tuesday, 4/24/19. I was "texted "Wednesday, 4/24/19, to go into the Long Beach CPS Office for further filing of application, to bring ID/Driver's License and my Security Guard Card.
I then called Mike to say I have all items needed to be hired. Mike stated for me to go into Long Beach office for an interview. Mike stated there were full time Security Guard positions available.
I met up with Mike and he went on to say, "I lied on my application", I was confused. Mike told me because I selecting no, instead of yes to question" Have you ever worked for CPS before?"
However, I did attach my resume via online, which clearly states in the previous job section I worked for CPS previously.
Mike stated, I lied on my application; this was the 1st disrespectful act from Mike.
I tried to explain to Mike that I accidentally hit wrong answer, it was not intentionally and if he looked at my resume, he could see CPS is listed as a previous job.
Mike stated he would have to see what Upper Management would say, and he would contact me later today (Wednesday, 4/24/2109)

Thursday, April 25, 2019, one day after ...Since I had not received any contact from Mike, I called the Long Beach CPS Office and I did not get an answer...I continued to call Long Beach CPS Office over and over and still no answer..
I then asked a family member to use their phone and I called Mike; he answered!
As I began to ask Mike, hey what's going on, I have been calling your number all morning?
Mike then said, "Oh you turned down jobs with CPS in the pass, I can't hire you and you will never get hired with CPS!"
I explained to Mike, that I never turned down jobs offered to me as an employee of CPS.
Years ago, after working for CPS for almost 2 years, CPS lost their contract at the Security Guard Post I was working, which left me without a job
CPS did call to offer me 2 days and again 3 days per week jobs...I needed at least 5 to 6 days...I was the main provider of income for my family and I...The CPS supervisor stated he understood and would contact me once he got a job for at least 5 days.
2 days and 3 days per week jobs were not enough; this work would only pay for the gas in my car to and from work.
I was not out character ever when speaking to Mike. I do feel Mike discriminated against, because Mike continued to seek problems with me from previous security jobs...One incident, the supervisor wrote a report for "no call no show". The supervisor assumed it was me, but after further investigation, the supervisor realized it was not me, instead it was another male employee. I am always on time; I do not call/take off from work... I am a sincere worker, I am reliable and dependable.
Mike then tells me "I will never be hire by CPS" and hung up the telephone...I feel belittled, tossed to the side, ignored and totally disrespected. Mike has me feeling that he does not want to hire me for CPS because of my race, my age and/or my weight...This has bothered me mentally and emotionally.
I am in dire need of employment and if Mike is creating issues for people of my race, my age and my weight...This is total discrimination...Not acceptable!
How do I go about settling this injustice matter? This is why I am writing you to help me resolve this issue.
I can be reached via email: [protected]@gmail.com or [protected]@yahoo.com
Your immediate reply and solution would be deeply appreciated. I thank you in advance.
Sincerely,
Thomas R. Vandivier

CPS Security fraudulent collection

Just an FYI to those who receive a notice from CPS Security, San Anotonio, TX regarding checks that have been returned from retailers. I called Walgreens this morning 7/3/17, after they phished my 87 year old Mother by mail regarding a check that was declined by the bank. They have the check number, the correct date of the check, and the amount of the check. The check cleared the bank. I can only assume they have the ABA numbers from the check, as they have her home address. Walgreens told me that company was doing the same thing and stopped in 2015. They are back at it again. I will be going to the bank this afternoon, the day before the 4th, to open a new account in my Mom's name, transfer all but $100 of her money into it. Once I have her social security and other auto deposits squared away to the new account. I will close the account. F'ing [censor] preying on the elderly.

CPS Security Fraud

The company is well known in CA, AZ, NM, FL, TX, LA. they are not very popular in the northern states. they offer inexpensive security packages in order to save there clients money. How do they save money and cut cost, its a really A simple concept, they just sleep on the job and do absolutely nothing while you build your job site up. this is known as there trailer guard package, 95% of there security jobs are live on the site trailer guard, where as most security companys work by the hour and the guard leaves and either someone relieves them or they come back the next day.

The trailer guards are trained to sleep in trailers and never to come outside of the trailer to check on the job site. they must put out motion sensors ( usually about 12) around the site and if these sensors ring a bell then the guard can come out. this is very unsafe and isnt true security guard work. they have this policy in order to save money. the guard is paid a small salary of about 6 hours per day. and is required to work for free if they walk around big job sites without getting a alarm or ringing bell from motion sensors, this is a violation of the law. no person can work for free.

Lets elaborate more on why cps security is a scam company, this company can barely get jobs in the north where it snows, so that should send red flags everywhere, they never come out to patrol a night in the following states above. if a arson or crazed criminal wanted to terrorize a multi-million dollar site with homes or buildings. they could go to a construction site patrol by this fruad company Cps security and have a field day and the sleeping guard would never know what happened until he awakened.

Its also important to note that cps security solutions does not have a true liability insurance to cover a entire job site should mass vandalism occure such as arson. they can only cover small items that are taken here and there like brass fittings and copper tube pipe, two by fours and wood. but they dont have a true $100, 000, 000 insurance for big job sites, and your site is very much so at risk when you hire them. they sleep in old ragid moble homes usually painted red and white. the guards are told to sleep all night long and to never come out because they will have to pay extra for patroling, they are told to work on there own time " for free". if something happens and they cant afford the cost they will bail out and leave you high and dry and you will be on your own.

As a former employee of cps i noticed how they did things and i worked the safe way and patrol after hours, sleeping on the job is unacceptable and could lead to the guard being harmed or killed. someone could come up to your small moble home trailer and shoot you while you are DEAD SLEEP and load up a semi truck with supplys and equipment in under 20 minutes. Also if a major incedent happens on a job site after hours such as arson, when the fire dept investigates, if they dont find any proof that a intruder came on the site and started a fire the guard WILL be held accountable. its happen before in 2004 in virginia where a guard was asleep in his vehicle and homes went up in flames, the police arrested the guard for arson because he said he was sleeping and never saw anything.

because of my skills and ability to do the right thing i was let go by cps for not sleeping in my trailer and guarding to much. i applied for ARIZONA UNEMPLOYMENT and the judge and adudicator agreed in my favor 100%. cps security solutions has lost alot of unemployment cases in many states not just AZ. they have no defense and a person cannot be legally fired for refusing to sleep on the job. they can however be laid off.

cps security knows that they are wrong in how they do business, they advertise low cost construction job site protection.then they hire a bunch of guys from sudan africa who dont have a clue what they are doing and they will just sleep day and night and never bother to patrol your job site, allowing gangs ands mobs to destroy everything you have worked so hard to build.

if you are a major contractor that wants to save a few bucks and you hired cps security solutions, shame on you. Hensel-phelps, Whitting-Turner, Valleyrain construction, ryan constuction, john laing homes, just to name a few cheap ### contractors making millions of dollars and hiring someone to sleep on the job rather than work hourly and account for each hour in a daily activity report.

If you are a developer or planner and you want to hire a security company, you should always hire people to work hourly shifts and patrol.if you are a contractor in the southern united states and need a security company after a major hurricane, trust me im from florida, never ever hire this fake sleep on the job security company. local companys are always the best way to go sense the owners dont always care about money. cps securitys CEO SCOTT BARNES in CA is making tons of money for security guards to do nothing and thats got to stop.

NEVER HIRE THIS FRUAD COMPANY TO SECURE YOUR JOB SITE ANYWHERE IN THE UNITED STATES, PUT THEM OUT OF BUSINESS THATS THE REAL SOLUTION.

CPS Security requesting payment of returned check

I received a notice in the mail from cps security about a returned check they said needed to be paid. Well, this check was paid in nov. 2010 to audit systems inc. I called cps security and asked the guy on the phone why I was getting this when it was already paid, and 3 months after the fact. He was totally rude, arrogant and unprofessional. He told me to call audit systems so they can notify cps. Why am I having to go through all this trouble? It seems like they research the records and after a few months, hope you forget whether you paid the thing or not, and try to get you to pay again. This is a scam. When I called back cps after he hung up on me, he said he wasn't going to get in the middle of this, and hung up on me again. This has got to stop. Something has to be done about these collection agency harrassments.

CPS Security phone call

I received a letter from CPS-Security today saying I owed some money for a returned check dated 7/26/09. I called the number at the top of the letter (San Antonio Tx) to see what was going on and why so long ago. The man that answered said I would have to pay it today because they have sent 5 letters out to me and they are going to file a suit on me. I asked if I could make pmts and he said they did not do anything like that and hung up on me. I called him back and asked to speak to someone that would not hang up on me. He said he was the supervisor and wanted to know the acct. #. I gave him the information and said he was the same one that just hung up on me and he wanted to know if I was calling back to make the payment. I advised him I needed some information and he said all I need was to pay what was due and hung up again. I called back and was put on hold.

I called Winn Dixie today as well since my 46.00 check was rejected. I was instructed to call CPS from Winn Dixie Collections. I called and got same jerk; stated I had. 4 bad checks from 2010 amounting to 416.00. He stated CPS sent letters to house I sold in 2011. He stated I was lucky they were just going to file for judgement. He hung up on me when I asked if I could talk to manager. I called back and he said he was manager then hung up. I called back and he stated he was going to file harrassment charges and hung up. So I did same called back and finally got nice CSR who sent to supposed managers voicemail after telling him what had happened.

They never sent letters and had my contact information. To top it both my boys worked at Winn Dixie an I sure wouldn't jeopardize their job by supposed bad check writing. Something needs to be done with this company. I call WD customer service and filed complaint.

Lastly, I wrote check for 186.00 to Walmart prior and they same national data base as WD.

I just called today and got through to (what sounds like) the same guy. I had to call back 4 times in attempt to have a conversation with the idiot, so I ended up calling the company that sent me to collections directly. I will not pay this ### a cent! My recomendation is to just send the check to the campany owed directly even though they don't prefer it (saves you money as well).

CPS Security fraud and lies

I've been receiving phone calls from cps securities for the last couple of weeks. All the message would say, when one was left, is 'this is cps for april g...! We are calling regarding your credit card!' I finally answered the call this afternoon to find out it was about a purchase I made through hsn, unknowingly! They were so rude, disrespectful, and didn't want anything to do with me making payment arrangements. They immediately threatened a law suit and to file criminal charges against me, told me I used a fraudulent credit card and hung up on me.

I won an auction on ebay, and my account has since been closed because I was forced to file bankruptcy earlier this year. I didn't feel as comfortable sending my grandmothers credit card information over the internet so I made arrangements to contact the seller via phone. He assured me that my cc information would be destroyed. Apparently, the purchase I won was through hsn and when the seller made the purchase, he set my card up for the flex pay. This was not stated in the auction! Moreover, since my account is closed, ebay can not access my records to show my win. Either way, I suppose I owe the money to clear my name.

I tried to contact hsn and the customer service agent said to contact the collection agency to arrange payments. I called the collection agency back again! When the agent got on the phone, I explained to him the situation, told him I contacted hsn, tried to ask questions, and he told me I had 4 days to pay the balance of $2000. I told him that was impossible and unrealistic, but I was willing to make payments to them monthly to pay it off! Even though I was the one scammed! This guy also yelled at me, told me he didn't want to hear it, it was too late since I haven't made a payment in 7 months and he would be filing a law suit against me and that the attorney already had the case.

I tried numerous times to try and make arrangements and everyone I got in touch with just hung up on me. I was told one time that if I go to court, I will be paying a lot more so I should just send them the $2000. Ok, whatever! I don't own anything since I filed bankruptcy, so they can not take anything from me. I make a comfortable living, but the payment I could make would not be a large amount. I have to continue living!

So, the bottom line is, I got scammed, the seller got a thrill of screwing people, not sure what else it could be, and my credit that I just repaired is in jeopardy of being ruined by a law suit? This company does not want to work with you, and is making threats, which I think is illegal. I have tried to obtain a correct billing address, but no one will give it to me. I copied the address attached to this statement from another person, and can not get confirmation of this being correct.

CPS Security not sure

As soon as I recieved the notice I called to make good with my debtor. I told them I could make a 100 dollar payment on this peticular day and make the rest up on the following wednesday ( 2 days afterward of the initial 100 dollar payment). roger nelson's supervisor of which he would not release his name to me said that he would not accept my money. I tried to talk to this man to no avail, he hung the phone up on me in mid sentence. I tried to call back numerous times. The woman answering the phone would put me on hold and i would be hung up on within 10 seconds. I called and asked for this mans supervisor and they put me through to him everytime. As soon as he heard my name he would hang up. Myself and Roger Nelson made an arrangement to settle this matter on Nov 12 2008. He was actually a decent person to talk to at the time. on nov 10 2008 my bank notified me of a 99 dollar charge to this cps security. I called them back and they said that it was a misunderstanding in the accounting department and that this would be resolved and refunded that same day ( seeing as they did not have permission to go into my account at all.) By the following day my bank had told me that there was in fact nothing on my account to suggest that they tried to refund the money that they had took out. I then called Mr. Jim Ryan to find out what if anything was being done. He then proceeded to shout at me. He gave me some kind of confirmation number for the refunded money and then went on into a short but vulgar rant. " I gave you your damn money now when am i going to get mine?" I assured him that i was making the full payment the next day because of a direct deposit error. " well dont ###ing call me back till you have my damn money." he replied, and hung the phone up on me. Now i have been informed by my bank that they were not supposed to touch my account without my permission. I am pressing charges and i would suggest anyone else to do the same if you have been wronged like this. they broke the law. they threatned me numerous times with jail and prison. People should not be allowed the freedom to do bussiness like this nor should they keep it up. please help me in taking this matter further. I am not the first or the last for these people and they have got to be stopped. Please do not be a victim of thier threats or vulgar phone calls. all over 179 dollars.

I HAD (past tense) an HSN credit card account, which I closed due to the harassment of the "CPS Security" collection agency that they apparently use to collect debts. I was making my payments in full, several days before my due dates for months after I opened my account with them. One month, my ex was late paying my child support payment which I needed to pay my credit card payment that particular month since my hours were getting cut bad at work. So, I ended up being several days late making my payment on account of my ex not paying me on time. I had a credit limit of $1, 750 and I had like $300 put on the credit card and when I was late making that one payment, despite of all the other times I paid them early HSN dropped my credit limit down to $300! So at this point, my credit card is basically maxed out. This all happened in July 2011... So in February 2012, I got this strange letter in the mail from CPS Security stating that it was attempting to collect a debt of $53 to HSN. At this point, my credit card is in fantastic standing. I hadn't purchased anything on it in a long time and I was paying more on it than my minimum payment. So I was confused. I ended up shredding the letter because I knew my account was in good standing and paid. Well, then I start getting these phone calls from strange phone numbers. I am the type of person if I do not have a number saved in my phone, I do not answer it. The number kept calling me frequently and it left me a automated voicemail so I called it back to see what the deal was. The man that answered (Mr. Morales) was saying that I owed HSN $53 and I told him that I had already made a payment on my account so how did I owe HSN $53? My online statement said I owed nothing. He was trying to talk down to me like I was an idiot saying that my HSN account and credit card were not the same company. I'm like what the hell is this guy talking about. Then he was asking how I made my payments and I told him online on the HSN website. He started raising his voice to me and saying "AND WHAT WEBSITE IS THAT" and I repeated to him the HSN website. Duh ###, I know where I go to make my payments! He started cussing at me, so I hung up on his ###. I called back again asking for a manager and the SAME GUY answered and pretended to be someone else! Then he was accusing me of yelling at "one of his associates" and I was like "How would you know that? You know how I know you would know that, because it was you!" I told him he was very unprofessional and rude and that I was going to call HSN's corporate office and file a complaint on him and I proceeded to hang up on him. I called the number on the back of my HSN card immediately and asked for a supervisor. I told the man about what had happened and he asked for the number that had called me. I gave him the number and he called it and returned to me saying that he had called it several times and was hung up on. He told me he was convinced it was a scam to try to get my credit card information and he reported it to the Fraud Department. I forgot about it and then a month later I got another letter, so I called HSN again inquiring about the letter. I told them about the previous call where they had told me it was a scam and that it had been reported to the Fraud Department. The lady I spoke with said that the CPS Security place was actually legit and was there debt collection agency. So I was like "then why did the other supervisor think it was a scam, so you are telling me that the supervisor doesn't know the difference between a scam and your debt collection agency"? That just struck me as ridiculous! How do you not know that kind of thing? So the lady looked into it and told me that the debt they were trying to collect was from a Flex payment that didn't go through on my account for a pair of shoes on Flex Pay. I'm like "Why didn't I receive anything from you guys about the Flex payment not going through?" She said that letters were sent, which I never received. Basically, this did not sit well with me. I never wanted to do business with HSN ever again. If you have an unprofessional, rude company like CPS representing you I do not want to do business with you. So I closed my account with HSN and I will NEVER purchase anything from them again. They have lost me as a customer. I refuse to be harassed, treated like a ###, yelled at, cursed at and talked to in an unprofessional manner. You don't intimidate me CPS Security and Karma is a ###! f*** HSN and CPS Security. I hope both of these unprofessional companies get shut down!

I got a letter from this particular debt company saying that they have been authorized to use any means necessary to collect the $32.08 I owed to them from a check. It was written in a very threatening manner. As to have me scared. I looked through my checking account and noticed that particular check already cleared, I could tell by the check # and the amount matched exactly. Didn't take a Rocket Scientist to figure this one out. So I call the number because even though the check was paid, the incredibly obnoxious person on the other end wanted proof, so I had to fax the paperwork proving the check was paid. So I call this jerk back, and instead of saying sorry; he says the money was paid, "I Saw The File". why are you calling me and hangs up, I can't put it into words the amount of gaul it takes to hang up on me after knowing what he did was wrong. I've never met a bigger ###! Plain and simple. Stay as far away from

I missed a HSN payment by one day and they sent it to the collection agency. I tried to call an pay half of 600.00 and I talked to a woman and she had to ask the boss for partial payment and he took the phone and said all or nothing and hung up. I never heard of a collection agency not wanting money. Something is wrong with this group and that guy should be fired. Everybody should talk to HSN and make a complaint about him and get him fired.

I had the same problem with this company and I get hung up everytime i call. I have gone ahead and reported them to better business bureau(bbb). it is the best Option. I want to clear the $262 they said I owe HSn but I have to know the details and what it is I am being charged for.I thought I made a payment to this people but anytime I asked to get any information they hang up on you unless you're calling to pay without asking any questions.let's get together to bring this company down.write complaints letter to the bbb or go to their site to fill out a complaint form. This company must be stopped. I have never seen such rude, nasty, belligerent and just plain unprofessionalism of the highest order in my life.

I was sent a collection form about a bill from the county that I live in, I didn't even know what it was about, so I called the number in the form and found that it was not even correct in the body of the collection form that they sent. I then called the 877 number and was sent to a woman who was extremely rude, and said that I owed money to something that I didn't even do. I said I am going to talk to them directly, she said good luck with that, I said that I wasn't very happy about her manners and was about to ask for her manager, when she said "well you know what this is how I talk, so get used to it" and she hung up. Very unprofessional, rude, obnoxious, and stupid... as they didn't even have my name correct in their system. This has got to be a scam... Angelena good luck to you.

I also spoke with Frank Phillips today with CPS. I had never even talked to the man before and he said he was sending my account to the courts. Now that I know who they are, I realize they had sent several notices, but I did not open them because I thought it was an advertisment for a home security system (CPS Security). The computerized messages that were left would say they were calling for "eight", and never had my name. I also received several messages from their number with someone with a heavy English accent saying that a credit card transaction was declined. Clearly I thought someone was try to fraudulently obtain information from me.

When I called today they were unwilling to work with me. I called him back and asked for the name of the attorney that he was sending my account to. He refused to provide me with that information. He said that I refused to pay. I never said that, I just said I couldnt pay right now. I offered to pay the amount off in 3 weeks. He offered me a settlement of around$575, but I told him I dont want a settlement, I want to pay everything that I owe.. I offered to pay the amount off in 3 weeks. I understand completely that they had the debt for quite a few months, and if I knew they were the ones trying to collect on my HSN debt I wouldve contacted them right away. He ended up saying he was going to hang up and then did.

These people are very unprofessional. I have contacted HSN directly to see if I can resolve this with them. I do not feel safe sending my money to such a shady group of people. I will file a complaint with the BBB and I will also find out who runs that company and suggest they do a google search for Frank Phillips so they can see for themselves the tactics that he uses.

I keep getting notices from this company. One letter reads at this time, the merchant is demanding full payment. What is bad about it, I have been employed with this merchant for 3 years. You think If I owe my employer money they would say something to me, or deduct it from my paycheck, but neither has happened. This company is a scam and ripoff.
