Craftsy - A Mixed Bag of Creativity and Challenges
Craftsy, a platform that promises to be a haven for creative souls, seems to offer a mixed bag of experiences according to customer reviews. While some users appreciate the variety of classes and resources available, others express frustration with issues like limited free courses and unclear pricing structures. It's evident that Craftsy has its strengths in providing inspiration and learning opportunities, but there are challenges that need to be addressed to enhance the overall customer experience. As you explore Craftsy, be prepared for a journey filled with creativity and occasional hurdles to overcome.
It's okay
Any of the material they filmed while under the bluprint branding is really great, but I've been with the 'new' craftsy for about 5 months and they haven't really added any new content as far as I can tell. Compared to some other creative subscriptions (I have an unlimited year long sub) this just feels kind of dated. I got a year long membership for a great price, which is good, because I would never pay full price for Craftsy. Some of their newer content are just these short little videos too, not really a class, which I think us kind of deceiving. I'm mostly taking drawing and painting classes, maybe some of the other content is updated more regularly? I have enjoyed a lot of content from Craftsy, just wish they would keep the fresh content coming, especially in the art category!
I get a daily email regarding their great sales on
I get a daily email regarding their great sales on fabric precuts for quilting. You get what you see in a timely fashion. Once I did not receive my order, and they immediately sent out a new order. I just wish they would have a way to combine shipping on orders, hence the 4 stars.

Craftsy is my favorite place for knitting projects!
Craftsy is my favorite place for knitting projects! I'm also buying a lot of my Christmas gifts this year from other vendors on Craftsy. I like the interface a lot better than Etsy. And the unique gifts are the best.
Best classes and customer service!
This site is awesome and has helped so many people learn to sew and quilt and knit (in my case). Every time I have written in to their support team, they have been personal and helpful!
I even needed a call from someone and they gave me a call back within the hour. I can only sing their praises.
Auto renewal without any notice
I signed up for craftsy a year ago for a discounted rate, I’m almost 100% sure I went and canceled it shortly after I had signed up for it because I didn’t want to pay the expensive renewal fee. They charged my account yesterday and when I noticed it, I immediately sent them an email stating I had canceled it, didn’t want it and couldn’t afford it and asked them to cancel it and reimburse me but they did not reimburse me. My income and life situation has changed since a year ago and now I’m out $97 that was meant to go towards my bills! They didn’t seem to care about that. Craftsy will never ever get my business again and I’ll be sure to tell everyone I know to stay away.
Recommendation: Don’t do it!!!
Craftsy Review: Great for Women's Clothing, But Lacks Inclusivity for Men's Clothing
Craftsy is a great website for those who are interested in learning how to make their own clothes. However, it seems that the website is geared more towards women than men. This is evident in the fact that most of the followers on the website are female. Additionally, the class descriptions do not provide enough information about whether or not the videos cover the anatomy differences of men's bodies when planning and sewing a garment. As someone who has purchased over 30 different classes on Craftsy, I can say that this is a frustrating experience.
I have written to Craftsy several times about this issue, and while they always respond promptly, they never make any real changes to make the site more male-friendly and inclusive. This is disappointing, as I would love to see more classes that cater to men's clothing. If you are interested in women's clothing, then Craftsy is a great resource for you. However, if you are like me and are not interested in making women's clothing, then you may find yourself in a very unrepresented market.
My advice to those who are looking to learn how to make their own clothes is to stay away from Craftsy and watch YouTube videos instead. While Craftsy does have some great classes, the lack of representation for men is a major issue that needs to be addressed. Hopefully, in the future, Craftsy will make changes to make the site more inclusive for all genders.
Craftsy's Automatic Renewal Scam: Beware of Unexpected Charges and Poor Customer Service
Craftsy is a website that offers a variety of crafting classes and tutorials. However, there is a major issue that potential buyers should be aware of. If you purchase a $0.99 membership, be prepared for an automatic renewal that will cost you a whopping $171.72. This is a huge difference in membership cost and can be a major shock to your bank account.
On their website, Craftsy claims that they will send you a reminder email prior to renewing your membership. However, many customers have reported that they did not receive any such email. This is unacceptable and can leave customers feeling cheated and scammed.
Craftsy's customer service representatives have also been reported to be less than helpful. Sam, the supervisor, and Amy, the manager of customer service, have been singled out as particularly unhelpful. This lack of customer service only adds insult to injury for those who have been charged without warning.
Craftsy needs to be held accountable for their actions. If they claim that they will send a reminder email prior to renewal, then they need to follow through on that promise. Blindly charging customers without warning is not acceptable and can leave a bad taste in the mouths of those who were once loyal customers.
In conclusion, if you are considering becoming a member of Craftsy, be aware of the automatic renewal scam. It is important to read the fine print and be prepared for unexpected charges. Craftsy needs to do better in terms of customer service and keeping their promises to their customers. Until they do, it may be best to look elsewhere for your crafting needs.
Craftsy Review: Great Classes, Shady Renewal Process
I recently signed up for Craftsy, an online platform that offers a variety of crafting classes. I was able to get a discount on my membership and was excited to start taking classes. I found the classes to be informative and enjoyable, and I was happy with my decision to join.
However, when it came time for my membership to renew, I was hesitant to pay the full price of $99. As much as I loved the classes, that was a little too pricey for me. So, before my membership expired, I decided to cancel.
When I went to cancel, I was offered a great deal - a $12 membership. I thought this was a fantastic offer and accepted it. I updated my credit card information and thought everything was good to go.
However, when I checked my bank account, I saw that Craftsy had charged me $99. Thankfully, my bank caught the charge and blocked it, but now I have to wait for a new card to be issued. When I contacted customer service, they told me that they had sent me an email about the charge (which they did not) and that they were taking the $99 a week before my expiration date from my old card on file. I checked my emails and found no such message.
I was frustrated and disappointed with the situation. All I got from customer service was a simple "sorry." Now, I have to wait for a new credit card because when I updated my card for the $12 renewal, it tried to take the $99 instead.
If you're thinking about canceling your subscription with Craftsy, I recommend doing it at least a month early. They seem to be a bit shady when it comes to renewals, and I wouldn't want anyone else to have to go through what I did. Overall, I enjoyed the classes, but the renewal process left a bad taste in my mouth.
Craftsy Review: Excellent Customer Service and Quality Products for Crafting Enthusiasts
Craftsy is a website that offers a variety of classes and products for people who love crafting. I recently read a review from someone who claimed that Craftsy never announces the winners of their contests. However, I have to disagree with that statement because I was actually the winner of their $500 spending spree! I saw my name posted on their blog and a couple of the staff members even emailed me to congratulate me. They were so helpful and went above and beyond what they needed to do to assist me.
In addition to their contests, I have also ordered from Craftsy and have been completely satisfied with their service. I have purchased many of their classes, some on sale and some not, and have been happy with almost all of them. There was one class that had lots of complaints that there wasn't much to it, but Craftsy gave another class of their choice to "make it up" to those who purchased it.
Overall, I can't say enough good things about Craftsy. Of course, they are not perfect and there is no way any business can please everyone, but I think they try their best. I believe that negative reviews should be taken with a grain of salt because people who have had a bad experience are more likely to express their feelings than the thousands of people who have good experiences. That's just human nature.
In conclusion, if you're looking for a website that offers a variety of crafting classes and products, I highly recommend Craftsy. They have excellent customer service and are always willing to go the extra mile to make their customers happy.
Craftsy Review: Great for Supplies and Community, But Not for Interactive Learning
I was on the hunt for an online class that would allow me to interact with the instructor. I'm trying to learn how to knit and I thought Craftsy would be the perfect solution. Unfortunately, it wasn't what I expected. Craftsy is essentially just a collection of videos that you have to pay for. Don't get me wrong, they do provide you with what they promise, but it's not much different from any other free learning video you can find on the internet. They claim to have online instructors to help you learn, but I'm pretty sure those "instructors" are just videos too. They say you can ask questions, and you can, but the responses are just pre-written replies. Sometimes they don't even respond at all.
If you're someone who has never knitted before and you're looking for a solution, I suggest you keep looking. Craftsy is not the answer. You're better off searching for free videos online until you find one that suits your needs. And the best part? It's free!
However, if you're someone who just wants to buy videos on a particular craft, then Craftsy might be for you. They have a wide selection of videos on various crafts that you can purchase. They also have a great selection of knitting supplies if that's what you're looking for.
If you're someone who wants to connect with other knitters and people who sell their crafts, then Craftsy is definitely for you. They have a great community of people who are passionate about crafting and they're always willing to help each other out.
But if you're someone who wants to actually learn how to do a craft, then I suggest you save your money and find a free video on your craft. Because that's all you're going to get at Craftsy.
Overall, Craftsy is a great resource for people who are passionate about crafting. They have a great selection of videos and supplies, and their community is amazing. However, if you're looking for an online class that provides interaction with the instructor, then you might want to look elsewhere.
Craftsy's Suspicious Handling of Personal Information Raises Concerns
Craftsy is a website that offers a variety of crafting classes and tutorials. However, I recently had a concerning experience with their platform. I reached out to them with some questions about my personal information and was met with some very strange behavior.
Firstly, my husband received an email from Craftsy at my personal email address, as if he now owned the account. This was very odd, as my account has always been in my name only for years. Additionally, the stored credit card for payment is also in my name only. I asked Craftsy how they could possibly associate this account with my husband's name, but they simply responded with "Human Error."
I was not satisfied with this answer and pressed for more information. However, Craftsy has not responded to my inquiries about how they obtained my husband's name and associated it with my account. This is very suspicious behavior and has made me question how they are handling our personal information, including names, addresses, and payment information.
I am very concerned about this situation and urge others to be careful with their personal information when using Craftsy. It is unclear how they obtained my husband's name and who knows what other information they may have access to. If Craftsy had simply explained how this happened and how they obtained other household members' names, I would not have felt the need to write this review. However, their lack of transparency has left me feeling very uneasy about their platform.
Craftsy Review: Great Classes, Fabric Selection, and Customer Support, but Some Instructors Need Improvement
I've been a Craftsy member for a while now, and I have to say, I'm pretty impressed. I've purchased a ton of classes from them, and I always wait for their sales to snag them at the lowest prices possible. It's not rocket science, just a little observation and patience. But hey, it works for me!
Overall, I think Craftsy is a great company. I joined their website a couple of years ago, and I've been hooked ever since. I have noticed that some of the newer classes are a bit shorter and have less content, but I also think that some of the older classes could use some editing. I mean, who wants to listen to an instructor drone on and on about their personal life? Not me, that's for sure.
One thing I really love about Craftsy is their fabric selection. I recently purchased some fabric that they had made exclusively in Japan, and it's absolutely stunning. The quality is top-notch, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase.
But what really sets Craftsy apart from other companies is their customer support. They are always quick to respond and go above and beyond to make sure their customers are happy. I've even received refunds without even asking for them! That's pretty impressive if you ask me.
Now, I will say that some of the American instructors can be a bit slow to respond, which can be frustrating when you're stuck and need help. But I've found that the ones who are really committed to teaching are the ones who respond quickly. Some of the instructors seem more interested in promoting their own websites and products, which can be a bit annoying. And let's not forget about their prices, which can be pretty steep at times.
On the other hand, the British instructors have always been quick to respond, which I appreciate. But that's just my personal experience.
All in all, I think Craftsy is a great company with excellent customer support. My only concern is what happens if they go out of business before I die? I mean, I have lifetime access to my classes, but what good is that if the company doesn't exist anymore? I guess only time will tell.
Craftsy's Poor Customer Service and Unauthorized Charges
Hey there, I just wanted to share my experience with Craftsy. I had signed up for their subscription service and was on an auto-renewal plan. However, I wanted to cancel my subscription and spoke to someone from their customer service team who assured me that my subscription would be canceled before it was due to renew in September.
To my surprise, two months later, I noticed that the money had still been taken out of my bank account. This led to overdraft fees and needless to say, I was not happy. When I called to complain, they told me that I had not emailed them in time to avoid the auto-renewal. However, this was a big fat lie because I had spoken to someone two months prior.
I have spoken to four different people from their customer service team, two on the phone and two via email, since September. I have asked them to escalate the matter to someone with authority who can address the issue and call me personally. However, they have not been helpful at all and have instead told me to sort the problem out with my bank.
I am extremely disappointed with the level of customer service I have received from Craftsy. It is the poorest customer service I have ever experienced. I feel like my emails are not being read and no one is responding to me accordingly. It is frustrating and the more time I spend on this, the angrier I get.
In this day and age of social media, I would expect Craftsy to work harder to address customer complaints. Instead, they seem to be repeating what the person before them said and not taking any action. It makes me wonder if this is how they run their business.
Furthermore, based on their response to me, it is clear that they did not read my original complaint. If they had bothered to look up my account, they would have seen that I had called in September to cancel my subscription in plenty of time to avoid auto-renewal. I do not understand why they are insisting that I should have emailed them two months prior to the end of my subscription.
I need someone with authority to address Craftsy's mistake and take responsibility for their actions. It is not fair that they have taken my money without my consent and caused me unnecessary stress and financial burden. I hope that they will take this matter seriously and do the right thing.
Sincerely,
Karen Marshall
Craftsy's New Management: Terrible Customer Service & Website Issues
Been a Craftsy subscriber for a long time, and I gotta say, I'm not happy with the new management. It's just terrible! I couldn't access my Forever Classes for months, and when they finally became available, I had until December 31, 2020, to claim my outstanding balance of classes. I thought I had enough time if I logged on to Craftsy.com on the morning of December 31.
But first, I had trouble logging in. I had to re-establish my account user name and password for the second time on craftsy.com. Once I did that, I followed the instructions on how to select and claim my nine free Forever Classes. I copied a code, selected a class, and "purchased" it for $0. It worked fine!
I went back to the instruction page and saw that the number of Forever Classes had gone from nine to eight, which was correct. I went to the code field to copy my second of nine codes, but the code showing was the same as the one I had just used! I tried clicking on copy, but the message said that the code had already been copied/used. There was no way to clear the field or proceed to the next code. So I couldn't use any more of my Forever Class codes, and at 11:59 Central Time, I lost out on eight free classes.
I sent a detailed email to ***@program-director.net, but I didn't even receive an auto-response. So I called ***203 to speak to a customer service rep. After listening to loud music and repeated suggestions to request a callback, I asked for my call to be returned. It only took about 30 seconds for a return call. I explained the problem in detail, but all the woman said was, "Just a minute." She put me back on hold with even louder music. After 10 seconds of being on hold, I heard a click, the music went silent, and we lost connection. I expected to hear back from her, but it's been six hours, and no call back.
I updated my email to ***@program-director.net, but it seems like they're taking the day off or maybe quit. What terrible timing! Anyone would realize that the last day to redeem Forever Classes would be busy! I'm really fed up. I better hear from someone on January 2, and that person better tell me that the problem with their website has been fixed (or other accommodations made) and that the deadline for using Forever Class credits (in my case, eight) has been extended.
Disappointing Changes at Bluprint: A Review of Craftsy's Rebranding and New Policies
Craftsy, which is now known as Bluprint after being bought by NBC Universal, has undergone some changes that have left me feeling disappointed. I have purchased a great many classes from them, some of which were free, but since the change, some of those classes have been 'retired'. This means that they are no longer available for purchase, and there is no longer any instructor to ask questions of. I was shocked to learn that instructors were not required to reply to questions for more than two years, although there are still some dedicated instructors who do respond, but not as frequently as before.
Bluprint seems to be trying to appeal to the masses, and the quality and length of the classes they produce have gone down. I receive constant emails from them, urging me to join, but I barely watched it when I did join for a year. There were a couple of newer classes that I couldn't bear to watch and had to switch off. One of them had some awful, constant jarring piano music that sounded like a beginning piano student was practicing, and it was very loud as well. The instructor and subject were more in the background than that awful 'music'. The other one had such an annoying instructor that I couldn't stand watching, and these were both subjects I would have otherwise liked to learn. They've changed their policies with how instructors are paid from a percentage of a paid class to minutes viewed as a Bluprint member, which has resulted in less income for the instructors. One of them reported her income from her class with them had been halved, and some instructors have left because of the new arrangements.
Live chat used to connect immediately to a person, but when I had to contact them about something that was missing from a recent order, first I had to answer several questions before they would connect me.
Bluprint seems desperate for members. They have reduced their annual membership fee from $120 to $79.95, sometimes it's $69.95, and at least sometimes they also throw in 12 'own forever' classes and maybe something extra. The other day it was a quilt kit. I'm seriously concerned about what's going to happen with all of my many 'own forever' classes and if/how I can download them before this company ceases trading because I can't see them lasting very much longer, maybe a few years tops. I've recently bought DVDs of some of the classes I already own when they've been 'on sale', still expensive for DVDs, so I don't have to be online and watching with a computer or tablet. Things being what they are now, I wish I would have just bought the DVDs, if they'd been available at the time.
I suppose if I'd had the current options back when I first started buying classes, I would probably join Bluprint for as short a time as possible and then buy the DVDs, if available, of the classes I wanted. The way they're running the company now, they might as well not advertise instructor interaction, which for me was the main selling point. In many instances now, you might as well go on YouTube.
It's unfortunate to say that I can no longer recommend this company, although I do sometimes still buy some fabric on sale from them. I hope they can improve their services and bring back the quality that they were known for before the changes.

I purchased kits from Craftsy between 2015 and 2018 and the patterns were in my Craftsy pattern library
I purchased kits from Craftsy between 2015 and 2018 and the patterns were in my Craftsy pattern library. Craftsy sold out to Bluprint for a time and then became Craftsy again in 2020. Allegedly there was an email sent out by Bluprint saying that patterns could be printed out before Craftsy took over again, I did not receive this email, if I would have, I would have definitely printed out my patterns, I'm not an idiot. I recently found a press release online from Bluprint that stated "Bluprint is excited to announce that your patterns will also be made available in the future by TN Marketing through the new Craftsy Website. This now includes your patterns located in your pattern library, meaning ones by independent designers, Bluprint patterns and ones included with a previous kit purchase.” The new Craftsy did not put the patterns I had previously purchased with the kits back in my library. I currently have yarn for 39 kits purchased from Craftsy and NO patterns. I have called them and emailed them numerous times and they either tell me they can't put the patterns back or they give me the run around about some supervisor is "working on it" yet nothing ever happens. I have sent Craftsy a list of the 39 patterns I am missing multiple times. I have been trying to get this issue resolved with them since the end of 2020 and I still do not have one single pattern. I have all the yarn from the kits I purchased from Craftsy but the patterns that were a part of the kit are gone. These patterns were mine, I paid for them and now Craftsy won't give them to me. I have spent almost $2500 with Craftsy since 2015. This is basically stealing or fraud. Craftsy sold me patterns and then they took them back and won't return them. I have credit card records showing all of my Craftsy purchases since 2015 and they total $2498.59. It is ridiculous that I have to basically beg Craftsy to give me items I have already paid for.
Craftsy membership
Craftsy is a malevolent predatory business! They doubled my annual membership cost without notice. They no longer give any refunds. They do not send receipts for renewals, so you would never know you were charged unless you notice it on your bank statement (which is how I found out). They hide administrative and billing emails between the "up to 4...

Craftsy is a website that offers online classes for people who love to craft. I was thinking about joining because the price was less than $3, but then I found out that I had to agree to auto-renewal for $80. I wasn't sure if I wanted to do that because I read some reviews that made me doubt the company.
However, I decided to give it a try anyway. I signed up for a class on knitting and was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to navigate the website. The videos were clear and the instructions were easy to follow. I was able to learn a lot in just a short amount of time.
One thing that I didn't like about Craftsy was the auto-renewal policy. I felt like it was a bit sneaky to make people agree to it in order to get the discounted price. I also didn't like that there wasn't an option to cancel the auto-renewal online. I had to call customer service to do it, which was a bit of a hassle.
Overall, I think Craftsy is a good website for people who want to learn new crafting skills. The classes are well-done and the instructors are knowledgeable. However, I would caution people to read the fine print before signing up for anything. The auto-renewal policy is something to be aware of, and it's important to know how to cancel it if you decide you don't want to continue with the service.

Mixed Feelings About Craftsy: Great Classes, Terrible Customer Service
So, I was taking a class on Craftsy and all of a sudden, I got kicked out of my lesson. I was like, "What the heck?!" I paid for my subscription, so why was I locked out? I tried to get in touch with customer service, but they didn't respond to me at all. I mean, I reached out to them five times and still nothing. It's like they don't even care about their customers. And don't even get me started on the help center. It's just a stupid chat bot that can't even help me with my problem. I just want to talk to a real person, you know? But there's no way to do that. It's so frustrating.
But, I will say that when I was able to access my classes, they were pretty good. I learned a lot and the instructors were knowledgeable. The videos were clear and easy to follow. I just wish I could actually get help when I need it.
Overall, I have mixed feelings about Craftsy. On one hand, the classes are great. But on the other hand, the customer service is terrible. It's like they don't care about their customers at all. If they could just fix that one issue, I would be a happy camper. But until then, I'm not sure if I'll continue using their service.
Craftsy Review: Disappointing Lack of Service and Support for the Price
Craftsy is a website that I recently came across and decided to give it a try. The price was less than 3 dollars, which seemed like a good deal. However, I soon realized that the subscription required auto-renewal for a year. I had to cancel my PayPal auto-renewal, which was a bit of a hassle.
I noticed that Craftsy tries to grab as much money as possible from its users, but unfortunately, there is "zero" service provided for the few dollars paid. I was disappointed to find that the site lacked any real customer support or assistance.
Overall, I would not recommend wasting your time on Craftsy. While the price may seem appealing, the lack of service and support make it not worth the investment. It's better to invest your time and money in a website that provides better value and support.
Craftsy: Overpriced and Outdated with Poor Customer Service
Craftsy is a bit too expensive for my taste, costing a whopping $90. I don't think it's worth it at all, especially since the content seems a bit outdated. It's quite disappointing that even with a membership, you still have to pay extra fees for some of their offerings. And to top it off, their customer service is not the best. They don't guarantee your satisfaction, which is a major letdown. I wouldn't recommend spending your hard-earned money on Craftsy.
Craftsy Kit Review: Disappointing Customer Service Experience
So, I bought this kit from Craftsy and I gotta say, I was pretty excited to get started on it. But then, I ran into some trouble and needed some help. I sent them an email and waited a few days for a response. When I finally heard back, they said they were "looking into it." Okay, fair enough. But then, TWO WHOLE WEEKS went by and I still hadn't heard anything. So, I sent a follow-up email and was told that they got behind because of the holiday. Now, I don't know about you, but I don't think Labor Day lasts for two weeks.
Anyway, I'm still waiting for a response and it's been a total bummer. I was really looking forward to working on this project and now I'm just stuck. I mean, I get that things can get busy and all, but it would be nice to get some kind of update or something. I'm not asking for the world here, just a little communication.
Overall, I'm pretty disappointed with my experience so far. I was hoping for better customer service and a smoother process. Hopefully, they'll get back to me soon and we can get this sorted out. But for now, I'm feeling pretty frustrated.
Craftsy Review: Pros and Cons of the Crafting Website
Craftsy is a website that's all about crafting, knitting, crocheting, and selling yarn. They've got a lot of cool ideas on there, but there are some things that could be better. For one thing, their customer service isn't the best. If you have a problem, it can take a while to get it resolved. And their classes are pretty expensive. You might be better off finding a local class or just learning from YouTube videos.
Another thing that's not great about Craftsy is the shipping costs. They're pretty high, and it can take a long time for your order to arrive. If you're in a hurry, you might want to look elsewhere. And if you want to use Craftsy, you have to have a Facebook account. That's not a big deal for some people, but if you're not a fan of Facebook, it can be annoying.
One thing that's really weird about Craftsy is that they require access to your Facebook friends list, news feed, and anything you make public on Facebook. That seems like a pretty big invasion of privacy to me. I'm not sure why they need that information, but it's definitely something to be aware of.
All that being said, Craftsy does have some good ideas. If you're looking for inspiration for your next craft project, it's definitely worth checking out. They've got a lot of different categories to choose from, so you're sure to find something that interests you. And if you're willing to pay the price, their classes can be really helpful.
Overall, I'd say that Craftsy is a decent website for crafters. It's not perfect, but it's got some good stuff on there. Just be aware of the potential downsides before you start using it.
Craftsy Review: Good Classes, But Some Issues Need Addressing
Craftsy is a website that offers a variety of classes for people who love crafting. I have mixed feelings about this website. On one hand, some of the classes are really great and I have learned a lot from them. On the other hand, there are some classes that are not worth the money.
One thing that really bothers me about Craftsy is that they have contests but then don't pick a winner or give out the prize. I entered the August Photography challenge and they never announced a winner. I even asked about it on Facebook, but my comment was taken down and I never got an answer. It's really frustrating to put in the effort to enter a contest and then not even get a response.
Another issue I have with Craftsy is that they have too many classes that are basically the same thing, just taught by a different instructor. It can be hard to know which class to choose when there are so many options, and it feels like they are just trying to make more money by offering so many similar classes.
Overall, I think Craftsy has some good classes, but there are definitely some issues that need to be addressed. I hope they start taking their contests more seriously and stop offering so many redundant classes.
Craftsy Disappoints: Kindle Fire Users Left Out in the Cold
I gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed with Craftsy. I was really excited to learn some new crafting skills and I thought their online classes would be perfect for me. I bought over fifty classes using my trusty Kindle Fire, but then Craftsy went and changed things up on me. Apparently they decided to focus on catering to Ipad users, which means that my Kindle Fire is no longer able to play the videos for my classes.
I've been trying to get this sorted out for two whole months now, but it's been a real struggle. I've reached out to both Craftsy and Kindle for help, but so far neither of them have been able to offer me a solution. It's frustrating because my Kindle Fire is perfectly capable of playing videos from other websites like You Tube and Facebook, but for some reason the Craftsy website just isn't working for me anymore.
I was really hoping that Craftsy would be able to address this issue and help me out, but unfortunately they seem to have stopped communicating with me altogether. It's a real shame because I was really enjoying the classes I had purchased and I was looking forward to learning even more. But now it seems like unless I buy an Ipad, I'm pretty much out of luck.
Overall, I have to say that I'm pretty disappointed with my experience with Craftsy. I understand that companies need to make changes and updates from time to time, but it's frustrating when those changes end up leaving loyal customers like me out in the cold. I hope that Craftsy will eventually be able to address this issue and make their website more user-friendly for all types of devices, but until then I'll have to look elsewhere for my crafting education.
Craftsy Review: Quality Decline & Limited Choices
I've been using Craftsy for a while now, ever since they first started out. And let me tell you, the classes back then were top-notch! But as they've grown, I've noticed a decline in the quality of classes. It seems like anyone can become a Craftsy instructor these days. And some of the newer instructors take forever to get back to you if you have any questions. Sometimes it's days, or even weeks!
If you're not happy with a class, they'll switch you to another one. But the choices are pretty limited. And if you can't find a class you like, tough luck! I've kept a few classes from a couple of years ago, and I'm glad I did.
If you're into quilting, you'll find a lot of classes on the same topics, but with different instructors. Craftsy has grown really fast, and in my opinion, they've gotten too big for their britches. They're just another run-of-the-mill company now. There's nothing special about Craftsy anymore.
Craftsy Review: Great Material, but Lacking New Content Since Rebranding
I've been using Craftsy for about 5 months now, and I gotta say, the material they filmed while under the bluprint branding is really great. However, since the rebranding, I haven't seen much new content added. Compared to some other creative subscriptions I have, which I got an unlimited year-long sub for, Craftsy just feels kind of dated. But hey, I got a year-long membership for a great price, so I can't complain too much.
Some of their newer content are just these short little videos, not really a class, which I think is kind of deceiving. I'm mostly taking drawing and painting classes, so maybe some of the other content is updated more regularly? I have enjoyed a lot of content from Craftsy, but I just wish they would keep the fresh content coming, especially in the art category!
Overall, I think Craftsy is a decent platform for learning new skills and techniques. The instructors are knowledgeable and the production quality is high. However, the lack of new content is a bit disappointing. If you're looking for a wide variety of classes and a constantly updated library, you might want to look elsewhere. But if you're willing to take advantage of the great deals they offer and don't mind the occasional outdated class, then Craftsy might be worth checking out.
