Deceitful Company: My Experience with CraveTV.ca
In May 2019, I decided to sign up for CraveTV.ca to watch Game of Thrones. They had an enticing offer, a one-month free trial which I could extend if needed. Unfortunately, there was a typo in the email address I provided, which resulted in me not receiving any confirmation of my subscription. I wasn't able to access the platform and take advantage of the services available to me. Assuming there was an issue with my subscription, I patiently waited for a response through phone or post. Unfortunately, despite having my phone number and address on file, I did not receive any updates.
To my surprise, I was charged for their services, even though I was unable to use them. Baffled, I called them to rectify this issue and request a refund. I was put on hold for 45 minutes, and eventually connected with a representative named Cristy. After explaining the issue and requesting a refund, she informed me that I would not receive my money back. What's more, she couldn't even share her last name with me for accountability. Despite asking to speak with a supervisor, none was available at that time to assist me.
Trying to be proactive and avoid any further charges or complications, I tried to correct my email address and cancel my subscription on the phone. To my dismay, it couldn't be done through that avenue, and I was informed that they would email me in 24 hours to confirm my email address. Once that was completed, I had to wait an additional 24 to 48 hours to cancel my subscription. This whole process left me frustrated and disappointed.
In conclusion, I am appalled to have been charged for a service I was unable to use. The lack of customer service, accountability, and the communication breakdown on their part is concerning. I went as far as recording the conversations I had with them and will use it as evidence when I file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Avoid subscribing to CraveTV.ca and spare yourself the headache of dealing with a deceitful company.
CraveTV's Customer Service Failed Me - Waste of Money & Time
At first, I was a big fan of CraveTV. I have been a loyal user since they first offered the service, and everything worked flawlessly. Unfortunately, that all changed recently. Now, every time I try to open the app on my Apple TV, it creates a clone device on my account, which has caused a device limit error. I was frustrated and disappointed, so I emailed their customer service team to get help. After waiting for a few days without getting any response, I decided to call them directly to address the issue.
The representative I spoke to told me to remove all of my devices from the account to fix the issue. However, I was still able to access the service from my computer browsers. Upon asking if this was a good idea, I was given the go-ahead to do so. When I followed their advice and removed all of my devices, including the functional ones, I was locked out of the service entirely for practically half a month until August 3rd. As a result, I lost my subscription to Crave +HBO and essentially threw away my $20 for the month.
I asked if they could remove the block on my account, or at least refund me the charges for the service that I couldn't access. Unfortunately, they quoted me their terms and conditions, leaving me feeling frustrated and disappointed. Consequently, I am now unable to watch Crave on any of my devices due to the mistake their customer service representative made in troubleshooting.
I was once a huge promoter of their service, but now I feel like it's complete garbage and useless. As an individual who works in a tech sales job, I've informed a lot of people about the great value of CraveTV. I'm now going to have to take back every positive word I've ever spoken about Crave and say goodbye to the service for good. As a single person, I might not have a significant impact on their enterprise, but I hope they take my experience into account and work to improve their customer service.
Avoid CraveTV at All Costs: Sub-par Content & Poor Customer Support
Recently, I decided to try CraveTV with their free one-month trial. However, after a few days of watching, I found their content to be sub-par and decided to cancel my subscription. At first, I tried to cancel through their Android App, but found that it wouldn't let me. Eventually, I resorted to cancelling through their website, but unfortunately, I was a couple of hours past the deadline.
Despite receiving an email from CraveTV at 4:50 pm confirming my cancellation, I was still charged for the entire month at 4:59 pm. When I reached out to customer support, I was appalled by the lack of professionalism and empathy that I encountered. They simply told me that they have a "no refund policy" and offered no further solutions to my problem.
I understand that companies need to profit in order to operate, but it's ridiculous to charge customers for a service they don't use or enjoy. I voiced my concerns multiple times and tried to explain that I had only watched for four or five days and was not satisfied with the content, but they refused to make any exceptions.
I was extremely disappointed in CraveTV and their customer service. I cannot stress enough how important it is for companies to be transparent and fair with their customers. As a recommendation, I suggest avoiding CraveTV altogether and instead opting for another digital content provider such as Netflix. Their customer service is top-notch, and it's highly unlikely that you'll encounter the same frustrating experience that I did with CraveTV.
In conclusion, if you're considering using CraveTV, please be cautious and don't be fooled by their free trial offer. It's not worth the headache and frustration that comes with dealing with their unprofessional customer support.
Disappointing Canadian Streaming Service: CraveTV.ca Review
When I initially signed up for CraveTv.ca, it was because I wanted to stream Game of Thrones. I had to purchase the premium version to do so, and was happy to do so at the time. Soon after, I discovered other programs on the platform that I really enjoyed, such as Handmaid's Tale. Unfortunately, I found that the streaming experience was quite iffy, and I would often be kicked out of the service. Sometimes, this would be due to a sudden notification that read "parental controls are on". What frustrated me most about this issue is that I had no way to access an option in the settings to fix it. As the only person using the account, it made no sense to me that I would be encountering this problem.
Then, I moved out of Canada temporarily and relocated to Australia for a year. As soon as I left Canada, I lost access to the service completely, which was disappointing but something I was willing to accept. However, I wasn't even able to log in to unsubscribe from the service. They took a payment for the first month I was gone, which I assumed was a simple mistake. After that, though, they charged me a second time, which was mortifying. I couldn't believe that they were fully intending to continue charging me if I hadn't found an email address to contact them through. There was no toll-free international phone number, despite what they claimed. Eventually, they did remove my subscription, but they refused to refund me more than $10 for what they had taken from me.
In my opinion, it's best to save your money and time and find another way to watch your favourite shows. When I found out that this company was run by Bell, I wasn't entirely surprised at their bad customer service. I have worked in customer service and hospitality for 5 years, and would never even consider treating a paying customer in this way.
Cravetv.ca Review: A Disappointing Experience with Non-Functioning Online Presence
Cravetv.ca has been a major disappointment for me and I felt the need to share my experiences with it. Firstly, the online presence of this platform is mostly non-functioning which is a major concern. As a user, I found that even the most basic links like the search function failed to work properly. I even encountered functionality failures that prompted me to seek assistance from support. To my disappointment, the assistance I received was not helpful as most of the questions asked were irrelevant and not helpful in the slightest. The most basic links that were supposed to work and help you navigate the platform were returning an error message no matter what I did. It was infuriating and felt like a huge waste of time.
Furthermore, even though the product is marketed as a cross-platform service, it only works fully on specific web browsers such as Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. However, Safari is no longer supported by Windows, which only leaves Chrome and Firefox. Even with these browsers, most links still do not work and require you to clear your browser history constantly.
Another issue is the fact that when signing in online, you only have two options: either through an online account or through the TV service provider. It is worth noting that anyone who signs in online through any browser will experience these problems and limitations, which begs the question of whether these services are up to standard for TV service providers.
In my opinion, Cravetv.ca should not be marketed as an 'Online" service when it cannot even work on a basic web browser. The fact that the sales department doesn't acknowledge any issues or ongoing complaints is concerning. Bell Canada should take immediate action to correct these issues; otherwise, fraud charges should be brought up against them for continuing to sell this service without the required functionalities.
Overall, my experience with Cravetv.ca has been incredibly disappointing, and I would caution others not to waste their time and money on a platform that fails to live up to its promises. I believe that the Better Business Bureau and CRTC should investigate these issues and take appropriate actions to protect consumers.
Beware of Cravetv.ca's Automatic Subscription Renewals - A Frustrating Experience
As a loyal subscriber to Cravetv.ca for a couple of years, I had never encountered any problems with the service until recently. In an effort to save some money, I decided to pay the annual fee of $99 as the streaming platform boasts a 'cancel at any time' policy. Upon subscribing in December 2019, I understood that if I cancelled in June, I would not receive a refund for the six months that I didn't use the service - which was perfectly fine with me.
However, my plans to cancel changed when I contracted Covid-19 in September, causing me to have to leave my job. As a result, I cancelled my Crave subscription at the beginning of October through the online service. A few weeks later, I checked to see if my account had been truly cancelled by trying to sign in via TV. The message prompted me to subscribe, which led me to believe that my account had been appropriately cancelled.
To my surprise, when I went to purchase food recently, I discovered that I had significantly less money in my account than anticipated. Upon further investigation, I learned that Crave automatically renewed my ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTION PACKAGE for $290+ without my consent. Even more troubling was the fact that I had already cancelled my subscription! I immediately cancelled my subscription online and contacted customer service. Unfortunately, I was informed that there were no refunds allowed, even though I had cancelled my initial subscription.
The customer service agent, "Sherry," claimed that I was reminded via email of the forthcoming renewal on December 15, 2020. However, I had thoroughly checked my inbox for the ENTIRE month of December, and there was no message whatsoever from Crave. Sherry suggested I should have contacted an agent if I couldn't log in to my Crave account. But, I had always believed that I had forfeited the remainder of my subscription at a loss, hence there was no need to call or message anyone.
To cut a long story short, I have now lost money that was set aside for car insurance and food. I am left seeking the services of a pro-bono lawyer. This entire experience has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. I would caution anyone who is contemplating subscribing to Cravetv.ca to be wary of their cancellation policies and ensure that they keep a close eye on their accounts.
Cravetv.ca Customer Service Is A Nightmare: Run, Run, Run Away
I recently had a frustrating experience with Cravetv.ca and I must say that I have never seen such ignorance from any company in all my life. I strongly advise you to run, run, run away from Crave as far as you can. I took the time to read reviews about them and now I completely agree with everything written. The company seems to be desperate money-grabbers and slimy thieves who will do anything to keep your money, at all costs.
Let me share my personal experience, so you can have an idea of how bad Cravetv.ca's customer service can be. I recently switched from Shaw to Telus and that's when my nightmare with Crave started. Crave is one of the themes you can get with Telus, so I phoned Telus to ask why I was not getting Crave. They told me to sign up and I did. Unfortunately, the rep gave me the wrong information and I signed up on an old account I had with my email address. I cancelled the service within five minutes after figuring it out and ended up getting charged for one month anyway.
I phoned Cravetv.ca twice to ask for a refund and their customer service representatives insisted that I got the service and it was not refundable. I tried to explain that it was a misunderstanding because I could not get any accurate information from Telus, and that it was less than 10 minutes total from sign up to cancellation. However, the customer service representatives were the most ignorant and insisted they would not refund me in any way, shape or form.
It was very frustrating to deal with Cravetv.ca's customer service robots and their ignorance made the situation even worse. I am thankful that Crave is one of the services I can cancel and I will absolutely do that considering how bad they treat their customers. It is evident that their customer service representatives are told to never refund anything for any reason, which is an awful practice and unfair to paying customers.
In conclusion, I fully agree with all the negative reviews about Cravetv.ca. This company deserves every one-star rating they have received from customers. It is truly disappointing that they insist on not refunding me for a misunderstanding, and that the money they "sleezed" from me is worth me disconnecting on a two-year subscription with Crave. How's that for brains?
Unethical Business Practices: My Negative Experience with CraveTV.ca Subscription
I recently had a negative experience with CraveTV.ca, which has unfortunately led me to write this review. I received a notification on my credit card of an annual subscription fee, which I had not authorized. I immediately went online to cancel both of my subscriptions, only to find out that the annual fee charge was not going to be canceled until July 21st, 2021. As someone who works in law, I know that a contract is a legally binding promise and that there are certain conditions that must be met for it to be valid and enforceable. One of those conditions is that both parties must give their mutual consent. If consent is not given freely or as a result of fraudulent practices, the contract can be declared null and void.
I spoke to a manager at CraveTV.ca about this issue and was told that contract law only applies in Quebec, not my home province of BC. This is not true, as contract law is applicable throughout Canada. I also requested that the representative confirm if I had been notified about the contract renewal, as I had not received any communication about it. I was surprised to hear that CraveTV.ca was not responsible for providing that information to their consumers. This was very disappointing and unethical behavior from a company that I had trusted to provide a quality service.
I believe that customer protection is a fundamental aspect of good business practice. The new laws in Quebec Civil Code are aimed at ensuring that companies perform in good faith and do not engage in abusive, illegible or incomprehensible clauses in their contracts. I hope that CraveTV.ca will take this into consideration and operate with transparency and integrity going forward. Unfortunately, based on my recent experience, I cannot recommend this service to others. As a result, I will be posting this review on social media and Google review pages to share my experience with others.
Cravetv.ca Review: Shady Business Practices & Unfriendly User Settings Mar Streaming Experience
In my experience, Cravetv.ca falls short as a top-tier streaming service. The first major issue I encountered was that logging in requires allowing third-party cookies through my web browser's security protocols. In addition, the only way to make changes to your account is via an internet browser, which is inconvenient for those who prefer using their streaming device.
Another infuriating aspect is the lack of control over email notifications. Once you've created an account with them, they reserve the right to spam you with emails about anything they want to send you, with no option to opt-out. Even their "unsubscribe" link never seems to work properly.
Another notable issue is the inability to clear recently watched shows, especially those you didn't like and want to remove from your viewing history. There are three categories on Cravetv.ca: "Continue Watching," "My List," and "Watch History." Clearing shows from "My List" is possible within the app, but removing anything from the "Continue Watching" list is impossible. If you happen to accidentally click on an episode and watch only five minutes of it, that show is condemned to stay on your "Continue Watching" list forever.
While Cravetv.ca provides a reasonably-priced selection of titles, some reviewers have noted also the poor support staff and frequent glitches or interruptions. On autopilot, this service unknowingly eats up expensive data without users' control, and their settings online do not translate to streaming devices, rendering them useless.
All of these issues are compounded by the fact that the company is owned and run by Bell Media Inc., Canada's leading internet, telephone, and mobile service provider. Many have expressed frustration towards how Cravetv.ca operates and the sleazy tactics employed, especially from a media conglomerate that should understand and prioritize customer privacy and satisfaction.
In the end, I wouldn't recommend Cravetv.ca to anyone looking for a smooth streaming experience without having to deal with shady business practices and unfriendly user settings.
CraveTV Review: Limited Selection and Poor App Performance Make for a Disappointing Experience
As a loyal subscriber of CraveTV for over a year now, I must say that their selection of movies and shows is rather limited and doesn't quite live up to the standards set by other streaming services like Netflix. However, I do continue my subscription with them mainly because they carry all of the Star Trek shows (including the animated one) and Discovery.
Despite the limited library, CraveTV's biggest downfall is in the apps they provide for viewers without a cable subscription. The apps are only compatible with Samsung SmartTV (2013-15 versions) and Android/AppleTV devices, which is highly inconvenient for users without these devices. Moreover, the apps are undeniably terrible and frustrating to use, making it difficult to even watch content.
One major flaw in the app is the inability to pause or fast forward shows on the SmartTV version. This can be a significant issue when one needs to get up and leave the room or better yet, in situations where the program freezes or the internet connection slows down, which happens all too often. It is unacceptable that one cannot even pause playback, much less fast forward, rewind or stop the show.
Additionally, the picture quality is appalling for the first 10 minutes of every program, and the sound quality is even worse, requiring one to turn the volume up to ridiculous levels just to be able to hear the dialogue. On many occasions, I've missed and had to re-watch essential dialogues, which is highly frustrating. This problem persists throughout every session of viewing, and it is not an issue that I encounter with any other service provider.
Another major issue lies in the connectivity of the service. The connection continually drops, regardless of whether I use Wi-Fi to connect or use an Ethernet cable. It is so severe that the app locks up to the extent that I have to unplug the TV from the wall and plug it back in to reboot the device. Although I've tried restarting both the TV and modem, the problem remains. To make matters worse, when I reached out to CraveTV's customer care representatives, they were unhelpful and blamed my devices for the poor service.
In conclusion, I have to say that I find it highly disappointing that CraveTV has displayed such a lack of interest in their customers' experience with the service. With many customers cancelling their subscription because of these issues, it is evident that the service provider knows about the problems but refuses to correct them and blames the customers for the lousy service instead of admitting the issue lies with them. It would be great to see CraveTV stepping up their game to improve their service.

Negative Customer Review: Problems with Crave TV's App Compatibility and App Stability
The article I came across is a customer review of Cravetv.ca, a Canadian online streaming service. The writer had a negative experience with the service and was quite vocal about it.
The reviewer begins by stating that Bell Canada, the parent company of Crave TV, is a terrible organization. The language used to describe the company is derogatory and inappropriate. The writer then goes on to describe the problems they have experienced with Crave TV. They state that while the service works fine on their phone, whenever they try to cast it to their 65" Sony 4K TV, the app crashes at least once during the show. This seems to be a recurring issue every time they use the service, regardless of the time or program they are watching.
The reviewer also mentions that their internet service provider, Cogeco, has confirmed that the issue is not with their internet connection. They were able to stream Netflix without any problems, but Crave TV was a waste of money. The writer ends the review by saying that they will be cancelling their subscription to Crave TV and sticking with Netflix. They urge others to do the same and not tolerate third-rate streaming services.
While everyone is entitled to their opinion, the language used in this review is inappropriate and unprofessional. The writer should have focused on the technical issues they encountered with the service rather than going on a rant about the company and its employees. Constructive criticism is always appreciated, but derogatory language only serves to discredit the writer's argument.
Cravetv.ca Review: Glitchy App, Outrageous Fees, Terrible Customer Service - Worst Streaming Service Ever!
My experience with Cravetv.ca has been a total disaster since day one. I've experienced countless issues with the app on both my television and phone, which has made watching my favorite shows nearly impossible. But the latest development is the icing on the cake. Midway through a show, I received a prompt to pay another $100 on top of the $100 I've already spent in order to continue watching. This is an outrageous demand, and completely unheard of in the world of streaming. I refuse to pay an additional $100 for just two more seasons, especially since the initial $100 was already an atrocious price point. The app freezes constantly and is extremely glitchy, causing a lot of frustration while trying to watch. Not to mention, I have to log in every time I use the service, which is something I don't experience with Netflix or Disney. Now I'm being told I have to pay an extra fee for what I'm in the middle of watching, which is absolutely ridiculous. Overall, this is definitely the worst streaming service I have ever used. It's incredibly overpriced, and the company seems to always be trying to grab money from its customers. I find it laughable that they would expect me to pay another $100 for just 2 seasons of the show I'm already invested in. I've requested a full refund, but after my experiences so far, I'm not hopeful. Unfortunately, I've heard that their customer service is just as poor as the streaming service itself.
Cravetv.ca Review: An Incompetent Service Failing to Deliver Promised Content and Quality
Cravetv.ca has been an absolute disappointment for me and several other users who were eager to subscribe to their service. As someone who joined specifically to catch up on Game of Thrones, I was disheartened when I encountered playback issues, stream quality issues, errors, stream freezing, and login issues, to name a few. It's shocking that a company that prides itself on providing quality content falls short so drastically in providing a satisfactory user experience.
The website is poorly designed, and the service itself seems to be lacking in the necessary technology to deliver the content promised. As a result, the users are left frustrated, disappointed, and often forced to seek alternative sources for their entertainment. It's sad to note that I had a better experience with pirated content via torrenting than with the "legitimate service" provided by Cravetv.
The incompetence of the team behind the website is evident, and it's concerning that they seem to be oblivious to their shortcomings. It's hard to understand how they're able to obtain licensing agreements with content providers when their streaming service is of such substandard quality. It certainly does not prevent people from resorting to piracy; in fact, it pushes users towards it.
It's clear that the people behind Cravetv.ca need to bring in appropriate help to remedy the issues plaguing their service. The limited effort they put into their website is indicative of the fact that they don't prioritize user experience and are content to coast on the quality of their content alone. However, this simply isn't enough to keep users interested and staying subscribed. They need to invest in streamlining their platform, updating their technology, and improving the overall user experience to keep users interested and paying for their services.
Until they make these changes, it's difficult to see a future where Cravetv.ca will be considered anything other than a huge disappointment.

My Disastrous Experience with Cravetv.ca: App Malfunctions and Customer Service Nightmares
Recently, I had a less than satisfactory experience with the streaming service, cravetv.ca. Unfortunately, I thought I had canceled my subscription, but to my surprise, I was still billed. Naturally, this was frustrating, but it was compounded by issues with the app itself.
It seems that app malfunctions are a common problem, as even the customer service agents admitted to me. In the hopes of figuring out what was going on, I attempted to log in, but to no avail. I took the next logical step and requested password changes on two separate occasions, but I never received the emails needed to follow through with those changes. All in all, I attempted to reset my password five times, but nothing ever came through.
I decided to call the customer service line and was told that password changes could take up to 24 hours to process. Of course, this seemed a bit fishy to me. As I expressed my concerns about the situation, the agent changed their tune entirely, saying that it could only take an hour. I was told to wait and see if the email eventually came through.
After two hours of waiting, still nothing. I called back again and got the runaround from what I can only describe as the most incompetent agent I've ever dealt with. It wasn't until I demanded to speak to a supervisor that I finally got through to someone who could help. Lo and behold, when I spoke to this supervisor, the password reset email magically appeared.
After all of these issues, I decided to cancel my subscription immediately. I couldn't in good conscience continue to give my business to such a fraudulent company with such a poor track record. I even advised the supervisor to look for better employment elsewhere.
I understand that my experience may be an isolated incident, but I urge anyone considering cravetv.ca to proceed with caution and read more reviews before making any decisions.
Cravetv.ca: A Disappointing Streaming Service with Major Flaws
When it comes to streaming services, Cravetv.ca does not live up to expectations. Although it may seem like a competitive or complementary option to other providers, its execution falls short in every aspect.
One major issue is the limited resolution, which is restricted to 720p and 1080p, making it unsuitable for anything released in the last several years. Additionally, the low bitrate of streams results in digital artifacts, and banding in dark scenes - further detracting from the viewing experience.
Furthermore, Cravetv.ca lacks support for Dolby Atmos or object-based audio, and does not offer HDR. To add to this list of shortcomings, the user interface is poorly designed, with content from several different subscription packages competing with each other.
Compatibility is also a problem, with deprecated apps on older devices only allowing partial content. Moreover, older smart TVs are not compatible with add-on packages such as HBO, Showcase, and Starz. All of these issues make the service relatively unappealing, especially considering the absurd pricing.
One of Crave’s problems is their HBO Max content, which they've cut up and paywall further; they don't even release movies on the same day as HBO Max. This is an affair that is frustrating to customers looking for high-quality exclusive content.
Compared to other streaming giants such as Netflix, Prime, and Disney Plus, the viewing experience on Cravetv.ca is quite terrible. It is recommended that you move on from this service and find somewhere else to stream exclusive content in higher quality.
Cravetv.ca Review: Great Selection, but Glitchy and Difficult to Navigate
Cravetv.ca is an online streaming service that offers a great selection of shows and movies. However, some users have reported issues with the functionality of the site. Despite paying a monthly fee for the service, it can often be glitchy and difficult to navigate.
For example, one user reported difficulty searching for a specific episode of Seinfeld. Instead of being able to search for the show directly, they had to sift through multiple comedy TV shows before finding it. Additionally, when trying to access season 7 of the show, they were sent back to the main Crave TV home page.
This user was only able to watch the episode they were searching for through the mobile app. This is not an isolated issue, as other users have reported similar difficulties with finding specific episodes on the website.
It's frustrating for paying customers to encounter such issues, especially when it seems like basic features were not adequately tested before the site's launch. The site automatically starts users on season one of a show, making it impossible to choose a specific episode to watch through the online platform.
In summary, while Cravetv.ca offers a wide selection of entertainment choices, it's important for them to address these usability issues so that customers can easily access the content they want.
Disappointing Customer Service and Policies: My Experience with Cravetv.ca
I was quite excited to sign up for the free trial period with Cravetv.ca three months ago. Unfortunately, I was unable to find any content that interested me during my time with the platform. I do not recall watching a single show or movie during my trial period, so I decided to cancel the service. However, I had unknowingly missed the expiry date of my free trial and was charged for the subsequent months.
Feeling annoyed, I contacted Cravetv.ca to request a refund, as it had only been a day or two since I was charged. I was shocked to find that I never received a response, which left a bad impression of their customer service. It was only a few days ago that I checked my credit card statement and discovered that I had been charged for three months of service.
As a result of my previous experience with Amazon, where I was refunded instantly after a similar issue, I assumed that Cravetv.ca would be equally reasonable. However, it was not the case with Cravetv.ca. They informed me that they were unable to trace my cancellation and that their policy does not include refunds. I was angered and upset at this point as it seemed like they were disregarding my experiences as a customer.
Despite my annoyance and frustration, I have attempted to contact Cravetv.ca for two days now, asking specific questions yet receiving vague answers. It has been mostly unhelpful and has left me feeling unappreciated and unsupported as a patron.
It's evident that my mistake was not double-checking the cancellation date for the free trial. However, given the fact that I never used the service after the first month nor accessed it after the free trial, I would have expected them to trace my account and notice the lack of logins on my account. Therefore, they should have recognised that I intended to cancel the services and that the charges came in error.
My experience with Cravetv.ca has been significantly disappointing. It is quite apparent that they do not provide quality customer service and that their policies are not customer-friendly. As it stands, I cannot recommend them based on their current customer-focused approach.
CraveTV + HBO Review: Deceptive Device Compatibility & No Refunds Policy
I recently signed up for Crave +HBO with the intention of my mother streaming content on her PS4. However, to my dismay, I discovered there was no app available for PS4. I decided to cancel the subscription and, to my surprise, was informed that there would be no refunds. I communicated my frustration to customer service, emphasizing that there was no indication on the signup page about unsupported devices and that it seemed like a reasonable assumption to make based on other streaming sites. However, they advised me that it was my responsibility to check the FAQs and device compatibility before subscribing. This information should have been readily available upfront during the sign-up process.
I was disappointed that their TOS stipulated no partial refunds for subscription periods. I believe that there should be some form of protection for consumers if they cancel after using the service for only a short time, such as less than an episode or within an hour. As it stands, the current policy leaves customers out of pocket even if they have not used the service. In my case, I spent $22 on a subscription my mother couldn't even use.
I believe that CraveTV.ca needs to improve its transparency from the start of the sign-up process. They should have a clear disclaimer that not all devices are supported and prompt customers to check FAQs or compatible devices. The lack of information can be deceiving and lead to extra expenses for consumers. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this streaming service to anyone.
Mixed feelings about Cravetv.ca: Content is good, but app issues make it not worth the cost
I recently tried out Cravetv.ca and have mixed feelings about the experience. While the content is definitely worth checking out, I found that the overall functionality of the service left something to be desired. Given the $20 monthly price tag, I expected things to work a bit more smoothly.
One of my biggest issues was with the app's response time on my Samsung Smart TV - it took a full 2 seconds just to pause or play anything. Additionally, the "rewind" feature was frustrating to use, as it only rewound for 10 seconds at a time, making it difficult to go back to specific moments in a show. I found myself having to start my search all over again if I missed the window to hit the button.
The app's lack of memory was also annoying - it never seemed to remember where I was in a show or even an episode, forcing me to keep track myself. This was especially frustrating for someone like myself who likes to watch things in spurts.
Another issue I had was with the app's reliability. I kept getting an error message saying I had no internet connection, which was strange because I've never experienced this with other similar services. Ironically, my internet provider is Bell - the same company behind Cravetv.ca. Their lack of effort in making their own service better felt like a slap in the face.
Finally, while I enjoyed the content, I have to add that the selection isn't as vast as I was hoping for. I did appreciate that they had some lesser-known, niche shows, but I found myself wishing there was even more to choose from.
In conclusion, while Cravetv.ca has some positives, ultimately, the app's issues left me feeling frustrated. I don't think it's worth the cost unless you're someone who's absolutely desperate to watch a certain show.
Disappointing Customer Service Experience with Cravetv.ca: Blame-shifting and Lack of Empathy
I recently had to reach out to Cravetv.ca's customer service, and it was quite the frustrating experience. After getting on the phone with a representative named Rose, I was disappointed to find out that she seemed uninterested in actually addressing my issue. Instead, she simply recited some generic information and tried to deflect the problem elsewhere.
My problem was a recurring one that had been happening for two months straight - every time I paid through Apple, I couldn't access the content I had paid for. Whenever I contacted Crave's support team, they would immediately try to pin the blame on Apple and tell me to contact them instead. However, Apple would tell me that they had already paid Crave and that the issue was on their end instead.
After going back and forth between the two companies multiple times, I finally demanded to speak to a supervisor at Crave. Surprisingly, they actually had one available this time, and they instructed me to take multiple screen shots of different things and email them over. It was frustrating to have to jump through these extra hoops, but I did it anyway.
Thankfully, I was eventually able to resolve my issue - but not without a lot of headache and annoyance. When I tried to explain this to Rose upon following up, she was dismissive and simply told me that my problem had been "escalated". I was not impressed by her lack of empathy or willingness to help.
Ultimately, I enjoy the TV shows and movies on Cravetv.ca, but their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I would caution others to be aware that they might face similar issues, and that resolving them may not be a quick or easy process. Unfortunately, my experience with Crave has made me reconsider my subscription to Netflix - it seems like no streaming service is immune to these sorts of problems.
