paid for life member status
I paid for Life Member Status prior to 2003 then I was married and notified them of my name change. I received a new card dated 07/04 with my new name .
I haven't received anything in a very long time. As for emails, the last was dated 03/18/14 but all the HTML is now missing.

I paid $300 for a lifetime membership and have not received items that were promised or magazines. My membership # is [protected]. I have tried going to the website and it appears that it is no longer valid. I would like a refund for not receiving items that were promised and website that is no longer valid and company didn't follow through with lifetime membership.
I to paid for a Lifetime Membership #[protected] and never received all the items as promised. I did get a few things from them in the beginning, but then all of a sudden back in 2009 everything justed stopped coming. Don't know if the phone numbers are still any good hadn't called them in years but these are the numbers I have on file from them [protected] and [protected]

I feel as if I was duped into purchasing the Lifetime Membership and the company didn't last a lifetime!

unacknowledged membership
It appears my complaint is similar to the many below. I was talked out of $300 for the promise of a lifetime membership in an organization that was supposedly upstanding.
I was a lot younger than I am now, but I came across my login information in an old desk drawer and thought I'd see what was going on with Creative Home Arts Club.
They didn't recognize my login and seem for all intents and purposes to be non existent.
magazine promised but not delivered
I joined this club in 2004, paid the membership dues and received all the gifts promised but when the magazines were discontinued, that was that. I was promised a national magazine monthly which I received for maybe 6 months. I have made several enquiries over the years but have never received any response. Please send my magazine. MY membership number is A249666.
membership
I am very disappointed with the broken promises and lack of concern for my life membership #[protected]. The last letter I received was dated Dec 30, 2010, about registering on the website. I received several carry bags and rolling cart early in my membership but it just stopped after that letter. I notified you as to my change of address but it fell on deaf ears. After paying for a life membership I thought I was entitled to a letter stating no further entitlements would be coming. I see that there are numerous complaints the same as mine so I am just adding my voice to the pile.
I too am a life member and I haven't received any magazine or communication for years. In June 2012 I emailed the company, Creating Keepsakes, saying that I had a subscription for a magazine put out by their company, but somewhere along the line it was changed to "Creative Keepsakes Scrapbook Magazine." I asked how this happened as I did not do scrap-booking and had no interest in it. They responded with, "We simply felt a new form of the Club, and the Club magazine, was best for our members going forward. As you may have noticed over the past few years, the amount of content in each issue has been decreased. We could not sustain a healthy Club or good product for you with a printed magazine in that form. ...there are many magazines that have stopped delivering a printed magazine. We didn't want to do that, so we sought out the best partner to have another magazine delivered as part of your Club membership. That partner is Creative Crafts Group with one of their flagship magazines, Creating Keepsakes. We continue to operate all other aspects of the Club as you’ve known them. Your access to the various benefits, and the new magazine, are all part of the dues you've already paid. It won't cost you anything more. Aside from the new Club magazine you'll be getting, make sure to log onto the Club website as that is where the other Club benefits can be accessed, and how we can best communicate with all our members. www.creativehomeartsclub.com. I never received any further magazines. And, the website is no longer valid work.
signed up for life time membership cost me $300 and have not received my magazines and product as promised
I too had fel for this scam paid life time membership of $300 back in 2006 got a couple totes and magazines and now havent gotten anything from them in years. Their website is gone and no way to contact them. Wonder if there is any way to get all of our money back from them so wish there was a way. my client number is [protected]. And that was the only magazine that I had signed up for now I get these dang Fashion magazines that I dont even read just trash if they were going to change my magazine wish they would have let me choose which one I wanted instead.
creative home arts club lifetime membership
I joined this club in 2007 and paid $400.00 for a lifetime membership and never received anything but a canvas tote. My member ID # was [protected]. This are scam artists and have committed fraud! I was guaranteed project magazines and product testing samples and online access to various projects. The company is now under a different company name and us members are out $400.00. This needs to be investigated. By the looks of it many people have been scammed.
astronomical so-called "membership fee" and my refund
I have often wondered why I have never heard from this company after they received my almost $400 membership fee that I paid for all these wonderful services and products I was going to receive. Since the yahoo's of this company have decided to steal all our money and not give us anything in return, can you please tell me how to go about getting a refund for my so-called "membership fee?"
I am so sick and tired of companies taking advantage of what they think are stupid lay-people. You're a forthright company, you offered services and products and lots more for all the money all of us sent you and now you decide that since you have all our money, you're going to do nothing!
I want a refund as do all the other people that you screwed out of their money. I have all my paperwork and all the cancelled checks so don't think that I couldn't take this further.
I, along with everyone on this site, has worked their ### off for the money that we have all sent your company.
There is no "please" in any of this... Send all of us our refunds.
And know that I whole-heartedly believe in karma... Here's hoping that she gets to you eventually.
Have a wonderful day.
membership
I too had joined this club in 2002. I paid for the LIFE membership that was very expensive. I had figured I would be a crafting forever so it was worth it in the long run. Several years ago I stopped getting the magazine and called the company to see WHY I had stopped the magazine and the customer service person I talked to had NO IDEA what I was talking about. Life with a small child continued and I went month by month waiting for magazines to show. Of course they never did! I found a paper since from 2007 where I had done a product test for them! It was rare to be chosen for them at the time. It's just sad that the company disappeared without rhyme or reason! They really should be responsible for some sort of compensation!
fraud - does not exist
I joined the Creative Home Arts Club as a Lifetime Member in 2007. I even have a "membership card"...LOL! I stopped receiving the magazine and any products long before this complaint filing. I paid almost $400 for this supposed "lifetime membership" and now the phone number on the letterhead no longer is in service and the website no longer exists! The...

Paid almost 400 USD for a lifetime membership which was to include a magazine subscription, chances for giveaways, contests and reduced prices for crafting supplies. The original Home Arts magazine went under they began sending a scrapbooking magazine, then after a year the company tried to charge me for the subscription.Called Creative Home Arts Club they sent a different magazine this time quarterly. Now I receive nothing and the website where members were waiting to hear news about our club is "down for repairs" which I believe means they are just stopping all contact. You can't even get anything on the phone except a busy signal. address is Creative Home Arts Club P.O.Box3526 Minnetonka, MN 55343 phone [protected]

I purchased my lifetime membership sometime before 2006 and my number is100489758. My name is Jeanet McCoy, I received my membership kit and my magazines but stopped receiving them in December 2013. That is after they changed them from monthly to quarterly and from arts and craft to keepsakes. I am very disappointed as I told them I was a retired widow and could not afford the &400 + that they charged but they assured me that it was worth the money now I can't reach anyone and no or any thing. Oh yes they said I can get things by going to some place called I think "thing & things" on the internet but I have never been able to access that site. I do wish to file a complaint against this company if possible.
I experienced the same. Life Member since 5/2008 -- what happened?
Same here. I paid the full membership and joined the life membership in May 2008. Got a few membership gifts and a magazine for a while then it stopped. Now that I am retired, I am looking forward to my membership, and it is now November 2016. Nothing but error messages when I go to the website. I have my membership welcome kit. Where are the benefits?
On May 5th, 2011 I paid $150.00 for a life time membership. As of today March 24, 2016 I haven't heard a word from you...I need to know Why! Thank you Lisa A Smith...Danville Vermont.
Hello! I experienced the very same thing! I did receive an email from them, after several attempts to reach them. I am quite aggravated at the total disregard for my membership and benefits and the lack of communication!
repeated unwanted merchandise, bills. calls
I can't get rid of these guys! I quit the club a couple years ago because it was so lame - they called me at least 5 times to renew my membership, which I refused every time. They finally stopped calling (I hope), but several weeks ago I received a "Craft Traditions" hardcover book (only $24.99 + $4.99 shipping) and a separate letter with a couple cheap tags or something saying they knew I would do the "right" thing and renew my membership after receiving these "free" gifts & knowing all they offer. (I opted out of the "book club" very quickly when my membership was still active) I immediately sent the book back with "merchandise refused" & "package refused" in big bold black letters on the box. So now I get a bill for $29.98 - the attached letter says " most of the Creative Home Arts Club Members have gotten back to me, but our records show we have not heard from you". I don't think so! I plan to contact the Better Business Bureau - this is ridiculous!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I know what you mean. I quit their "book club" after receiving a few books (which were paid for). They continued to send books to me and I immediately sent them back to them. My postman waited for me to write "Return to Sender" and "Refused" on the box. I finally was able to talk to someone there and thought I had everything taken care of. Nope! Today I received a bill from a collection agency tell me I owe them $95.94! I am going to contact the BBB and report them. Now I have to contact this collection agency and hopefully get things settled. We'll see how long it takes for this to get taken care of.
fraud
I joined this creative home arts club because I love to do crafting. I would get monthly magazines, free gifts, and products to try and keep free. For $1.00 I would get $24.00 credit for my LIFE TIME membership for the magazine, but owed $386.00 for the club. and for my club membership I would receive these great gifts and be able to try products. So I paid...

I am concerned that a company can obtain your personal information and harrass in such a manner.
There are so many complaints against this company but yet they continue to try to scam.

canceling membership repeatedly
I'll write back if my efforts work. I have attempted to cancel membership four times through phone call to their membership services phone number (they now have one and it's not difficult to get through). However, even after several phone calls, not only requesting they cancel membership, but cease ALL correspondence, mailing, membership offers, books, magazines, gifts and samples, they still send me a book that I have to return at the cost of $4.00 to me, if I don't want it.
Today, I wrote a letter to every address I could find telling them if they did not cease all mailings within 2 weeks or call me, I would file a complaint with the better business bureau and seek legal assistance to remedy the matter. I've paid all bills on time and am sick of getting the books (even though they are nice books, I don't want them at $30.00 each! So instead, I'm obliged to return one every two weeks (at my cost) and once again request cancellation of membership.
Such a racket - they will be in court if they don't change their harrassing tactics!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I HAVE THE BILLING 360.00 MEMBER FEE AND TO PAY DUE FOR163.18 A MONTH FOR AMOUNT NOW DUE I CANT BE AFFORD TO PAY ALL I DONT NEED THE BOOK TO MAIL ME OUT ALL SO I TOOK IT BACK THE BOOK BUT I DONT NEED TO PAY ALL AND I WAN TO KNOW TO PAY FOR 24 DOLLARS A MONTH
I have yet to get products to try out let alone keep. This is one of the worst scams I have seen. Before you sign up or send them any money read all the brochures they send you and all the fine print. Once you accept anything they send they just keep hounding you and try to get you at a weak moment to join. They are not true to their word and I would not recommend anyone to join their club.
not as advertised
I get ad in the mail that if I respond in 10 days I get the first issue of the magazine and 3 free gifts. I sent in my card and quickly received a bill; I did not pay, I was waiting for my first issue to see if this is something to invest in. I finally received a large envelope with my free very small purple gift bag and another bill, I'll get the other stuff upon payment. It's only a dollar per month but they want $24.00 at a time. Now all of a sudden there are conditions to meet to get the free things that I was suppose to get. They aren't getting any money from me, it isn't hard to tell this is more of a plan for them to get rich than do something fun for me. If I can't sample the program first then they don't get any money first; and billing people for 2 years before trying is a total rip off. Someone needs to shut these people down.
Same thing happened to me with the Creative Home Arts Club...The only thing "creative" about the club was the way they scammed me out of a Lifetime Membership. I guess it was their lifetime and not mine.
i have been trying to contact them for months. I am a life member but cannot access my account. They dont reply to any of my e-mail. Whatever you do dont join.
Same with me. For a while the website kept telling me they couldn't access my account and I should try later. I just wanted to see if I was still considered a member. Then I sent numerous e-mails complaining that I'd heard nothing from them in months and couldn't remember the last time I received their magazine. I never got any response. Today I tried to access the website and find it no longer exists. Its a shame. I worked hard for that money!
They do not stand behind anything they advertise, yes i received 1 project to test, what a joke, you could have bought it at a Dollar Store, and yes i got caught up in the Lifetime Membership, some membership, they don't do anything but take your money, send you a couple of bags, and then you never here from them again, I think the BBC should shut them down, and reimburse all their Lifetime Members... Is there anything that can be done? I sure would back anyone who would get things going to get our money back.
Lola
they did that to me too. we are going to call tomorrow and talk if we even get thorough. But anyone and everyone, its a SCAM ! they are milking people out.
I didnt ask for any magazine subscription either. now they send me another. I think they are crazy! why are these people still here and why isnt somebody shutting them down with all the complaints against them. HARRASSING us for money! for things that we didnt ask.
demanding payment for membership?
I recieved a magazine that I did not subscribe to... Creative home arts magazine. They have sent me three reminders to pay my dues or I would be "shut - off, in fairness to active dues - paying members". It also states they "need for immediate payment of $12.00. The bottom of the letter reads membership dues invoice. This is a scam to look like you owe them for a magazine subscription. They send you their magazine in the mail, stating you ordered it, then send a lookalike invoice. If I was a senior citizen or an absent minded person, I might have paid it, thinking I had overlooked something I had indeed ordered. That is what they are hoping for. I called their number [protected]. I asked why I was sent a magazine and I was told"I had signed up"in november of 2008. I told her I had not ordered anything. I demanded to know how she got my name, then she states that"it doesn't say how I got on their list"she then started to describe the benefits and perks and savings etc. I would get with my subscription. I told her"if I had ordered this magazine, don't you think I would know all this stuff already?" that shut her up! I demanded that I be removed and told her what I thought about their deceitful scam. She said I may get one more invoice, but she removed my name. Well, miss ashley johnson, you're being reported to the bbb. Be careful folks.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
forever flower: It's been so long, I don't remember what year I joined. But I too, bought a lifetime membership and haven't received anything for years. There is so much of this out there. This would be a good job for someone...checking into all of these ripoff and scam artists and make them pay. Too much deceit.
I have been a Lifetime member for many years. I received this post card about activation, tried to login with
the web site that is on the card (nothing happen). Tried to call, neither number was available. What has
happen to the company? Since nothing is available, I would like my money back. My member number is

I was sent membership details...that included pay $24 for a yr lifetime membership...I was supposed to receive all the membership items once I made a payment of the $24, which I did. It has been 3 yrs now and I received one magazine and paper gift bags, thats it, everything else they had promised I never received. I called asking them about this and they apologize say they would ship out all the stuff, still nothing. Now, Im getting a bill for $360. FOR WHAT? I have not received anything. SCAM!
"cancelled" past due account
I cancelled this membership after receiving only 3 -4 issues of this magazine. I was not impressed with the magazine and all it had to offer. I have emailed the magazine with this info. And hope to settle this. I will not pay for something I cancelled!
Cancelled membership # [protected]
I received another collection notice from RMCB stating that I owe $308.00 for a Creative Home Arts Club membership that I cancelled (as I stated in my previous complaint)! Please...someone...anyone help me out! I WILL NOT PAY FOR SOMETHING I CANCELLED 1-2 YEARS AGO! This is very stressful. I thought this had been taken care of...? I consider this harassment and it had better NOT affect my credit status!

There are numerous complaints about Creative Home Arts and it would be wise to investigate other clubs owned by this company before sending them any information, let alone money. I wish I had!
I have been a member since 03/03. How do I get a refund? I paid for a lifetime club fee to have access to ideas and tools and test new items. That happened six times. I want a full refund.
I have a card that indicates that I am a creative home arts club life member. The membership number is [protected] and I have been a member since July 2007. Does this membership still exist and if so I have not received any information or booklets for several years now. Was this a scam?
I too paid for a lifetime membership [protected] $300.00 with CHAC and was duped out of my money. A class action law suit is in order for this company. If they changed the name, left time members would be contacted; even the phone numbers listed have been disconnected. If the situation was reversed your credit would be ruined. I have been a lifetime member of creative home art club since 2004, I have received address labels. Some rather expensive labels. Yet I have not received a single magazine, when I contacted customer service they informed me that my magazine was shipped, and sent a keychain and more labels. $19.99 is alot to just give away, now being disabled.
I paid for a life membership # [protected] several years ago; if the company is out of business I should get a refund of my membership which was $250.00. I have not gotten any of the craft & arts products that was promised for my lifetime membership. If the company in no longer in business then I want a refund of my $ 250.00.
Have not gotten magazine in long time

wondering what was going on? I have been a lifetime member since 4/2006... membership # [protected]. I tried to go on the website to update my address after a recent move and they are not there, what the heck? I was very unhappy about this I paid over $300 for a lifetime. and now there isn't even a website?
I am Edna Vincent and i paid $340.+ for life membership back in 2004/2005..same as the rest of these complainers, , what happened..I've contacted you several times in the past with mailing address changes with no responce..how about so answers and explanations.
I paid $300 for a lifetime membership and have not received items that were promised or magazines. My membership # is [protected]. I have tried going to the website and it appears that it is no longer valid. I would like a refund for not receiving items that were promised and website that is no longer valid
lifetime membership harassment!
I have repeatedly declined the Lifetime Membership offer both by mail (at least 7 times) and once by telephone (they called me - it is not possible to reach this company by telephone or through the web site; 'contact us' brings you to a 'free membership' offer). This company is predatory in their pursuit of your money!
And Membership Benefits (specifically "Register to test and keep FREE arts and crafts products") are available only with additional purchases! The magazine itself is not bad if you don't mind being harassed to send the company hundreds of dollars for benefits you may not qualify for, at only $24 for 2 years. Other than this, DISCARD OR RECYCLE anything you receive from them!
Well, I visited this web site and found some of the projects interesting and signed up for the free trial membership. At the end of the trial I was offered a one-year membership for $12 instead of the normal $24 and I accepted it. I actually contacted the web site before accepting the membership and didn't have any trouble. My only complaint is that I missed one of the magazines but I emailed them and received a prompt response and a replaced magazine. I have never received anything from any north american media group. I can't help but wonder if perhaps that group obtained your information from some other crafting website.
So far I don't have any complaints. Hope it continues. Mary
Yes, this company is a SCAM!
I have gotten harrassing phone calls from them. Next call gets a Police whistle blown in their ear.
And I am getting ready to notify the BBB.
Hey I strongly agree with you. I received the exact letter. I call it a nice nasty letter. I went to this site, http://www.northamericanmediagroup.com/contact_us.htm and they connected me with this so called club. They did allow me to cancel the membership I supposed to have accepted. This was after I mentioned the BBB and calling the credit bureau about the scam. They cancelled me and told me to disregard the letter and future invoices. I was really nervious about this.
