This company accessed my bank account and took money out of it once a week for almost a year and a half. (2023-2024). Each week they withdrew or attempted to withdrawal $18.99 from my account. Because I am on aish I have a very tight fixed income and budget. So often 2 or 3 of their attempts to withdraw were unsuccessful which made matters worse every failed transaction left me with a $40.00 nsf fee from my bank. I called and emailed credit value with no answer no response. I also contacted my bank to report the unauthorized transactions. Finally after trying to contact credit value for just over a year someone answered the phone. I told them what was happening and what had happened they assured me there wouldn't be anymore transactions and they would look into it. That night they attempted to withdraw again, and again a week later and a week after that for around 8 weeks. A few months later I received a email which I have attached saying that it was a technical error that caused their system to steal a little under $2000.00 from my account and told me to talk to the bank to have the nsf fees reversed. I talked to the bank and they refused stating the error was credit values doing and thay are the ones that should reimburse the money taken and reimburse me for the nsf fee charges. I tried to contact credit value and again no response. I have the letter admitting they were in the wrong and I want the money for the fees and the illeagal withdraws sent to me asap. Credit value contact me I sent another email with the total amount. If this goes to small claims court I will be seeking a substantially larger amount.

Claimed loss: $1750.00

Desired outcome: Etransfer for $1750.00 sent to [protected]@gmail.com

Draft a letter of notification to Credit Value where they have acknowledged liability and provide the amount that is payable, no matter whether it includes NSF fees or not. Support your letter for instance, your transaction details and their correspondence. If they do not act, elevate the matter by making complaints to your national consumer protection and financial ombudsman. If you are still waiting for resolution turn to small claims court taking all the documents along.
