This merchant is becoming a mess! They sent my order without any notice of when it would arrive or a tracking number. After waiting for a few days without receiving the order, I called them and they said it was delivered 4 days ago, but they still wouldn't give me a tracking number. I checked my online account and the order status just says "complete" without any other information. I never received the package and I have no clue where they delivered it. When I told them about the situation, they simply refused to take any responsibility. They didn't fulfill the order but won't process a replacement or give me a refund.

On 09/27, 20 pounds of frozen food was shipped from Darwins, I emailed them that day to cancel the order. On 09/28, I called the customer service after not receiving a response from my email. I explained that I can't use this 20lbs of food because my cat now needs a kidney RX diet. I explained that I didn't plan this and that she was at the *** the night before the order shipped. I expressed interest in their kidney diet as that is what I had planned on switching to. I asked their customer service representative to reroute the package back to them which is very easy to do with *** She told me that she would get back to me but never did. The food was sent to me and I refused the delivery. When I emailed them again asking for a refund they refused. Their customer service is terrible and now they have lost a customer.

My package of raw pet food came hella late and in a sketchy condition, man. The ice packs were all melted, and half of the food packs (each with 4 pouches) were melted too and above 40F. That means the container it was shipped in was warmer than a fridge, bro. When I complained, Darwins basically told me to just pick out the good stuff and they wouldn't give me a refund for the bad stuff.
Now, every time I buy meat at the store, it tells me to thaw it in the fridge or somewhere under 40F. They say meat don't thaw evenly, man! If you thaw it in a warmer place, like, some parts of the meat (especially the edges) can be at unsafe temps over 40F, even if it seems cool. I had this exact problem last year when I bought meat for myself, dude.
So yeah, Darwins ain't followin' the rules and they don't seem to care much 'bout it. I wouldn't recommend 'em if you want safe and properly handled raw pet food, ya feel me?

Darwins told me to just pick out the rest and wouldn't give a refund for that part. Every meat pack I buy at the store tells me to thaw it in the fridge or somewhere under 40F, 'cause meat doesn't thaw evenly (!) and if you thaw it somewhere warmer, some parts (like the edges) can be unsafe, even if it seems under 40F. I had this exact problem last year when I got meat for people in this state (delayed shipment that was half-melted) -- we tried to save some that seemed under 40F, but we got sick from eating it. The meat I got wasn't in a safe state - many parts of the shipment were over 40F! I threw it all away 'cause I'm scared to feed it to my old cat. The customer service stopped responding to me. Money is tight 'cause my husband is in school. Please help. They might say the food is safe if it's under 40F, but that only counts if the whole shipment stayed under 40F so you can be sure no parts of the meat were over 40F. It's impossible to test every part of every pack and meat doesn't thaw evenly. That's why you gotta thaw meat in a fridge and not on the counter. It's basic food safety.
