First of all, its been a while since my last business travel due to covid and business in nature, but what a surprise! Its 29 Aug 2023 and I have completed our business early at New Jersey, so i drove back to Newark Airport and requested a change of flight to earlier time in the day to Atlanta and the agent at the counter was super nice and set me up with an earlier flight to Atlanta, but i had missed the connecting flight to Huntsville, AL. Now i was stuck at Atlanta for several hours and i need to see how i can get on a first flight out and not chance the flight cancellation with last flight out to Huntsville. So, I was reluctant to visit any of Atlanta Airport as they were not so helpful in the past...then there is a pleasant surprise...the Delta Lounge Agent, I cant spell her name without killing it so I will not try, but she was a blessing from God as she worked her magic to get me on the 8PM flight as stand by...what a pure thrill. Then the great surprise of it all...I am working on my business on my laptop and couple of gents with lounge support personnel approaches with a new sample dish of lightly smoked Lachs fused with avocado, salsa, and cilantro accompanied by pinot grigio with large Raspberry to sample...man was it delicious. I had to meet the Chef, Chef Anthony, and shake his and offered to buy him a drink, but to my disappointment, he does not drink...so I am complaining to the world about my extraordinary experience at Atlanta Delta Lounge and the Chef who have brightened up my day with long waits and discontent employees at Airports in many countries and cities i have traveled in the past. This is my complaint to Delta...be the bright light for tired traveler who only want to get to their home to loved ones or business locations to make the earning for their loved ones. Today was one of my best travel days with Delta team, and possibly other airlines as well, domestic and international. Congrats to the Chef Anthony, his team, and Delta! Job Well Done.
