We had a great experience working with Joseph Cocuzza to get the new appliances for our kitchen at reasonable prices. Frankly, I was uncertain about going here due to the name of the store and location (Bedminster), but Joe worked with us and gave us great prices on our refrigerator, stove and dishwasher. I would recommend them to anyone looking for appliances that fit your needs and budget.
We will always buy our major appliances with Andrew of the Bedminster location. Hands down the best, most personal service anyone will ever get.

Cinthya at Designer Appliances in Upper Montclair was a pleasure to work with on a Bertazzoni range purchase. She spent quite a bit of time with us in the showroom, and explained the design and convenience features very concisely. We both felt very comfortable with her welcoming warmth. She helped us through the disappointment of replacing an heirloom 1920s kitchen range that we have for almost 40 years.

She contacted my kitchen designer while I was there to ensure the refrigerator I selected would fit into the cabinetry without a problem. Today we stopped by to look at appliances that we are planning to purchase for a new kitchen. We were greeted by Russel who patiently answered all of our questions and guided us without any pressure to the appliances that would meet our needs. Russel was very knowledgeable, kind, and treated us like family. I would highly recommend Designer Appliances, and Russel. The hour drive we took to this store was well worth the trip.

Cinthya was wonderful to work with. We purchased a gift for our son who lives in Brooklyn and she took care of everything and communicated with us and our son throughout the process. We spoke on the phone and emailed when necessary. She was always professional and pleasant to speak with. A part was damaged during shipping and she responded quickly to get a replacement out as soon as possible. Would highly recommend Designer Appliances. They better hang on to Cinthya.

Customer-oriented firm. Have used the same salesman (Andrew ***) on three orders -- each for either three or for two appliances, found him responsive, and he kept his word on pricing. The orders were for three different locations and the accounting staff patiently worked through inadvertent billing errors to correct them to my satisfaction. The delivery coordinator, (Susan *** was both efficient and friendly in managing delivery and installation specifics at different locations.

The customer representative who helped me, Cinthya, was unbelievably knowledgeable, creative in finding solutions, and went above and beyond what anyone could reasonably expect of anyone in customer service. She actually helped me until 10:00 p.m. at night, long after her business day was over. I am very impressed, and the next time I'm in the market for a major appliance, my first (and probably last) stop will be designerappliances.com.

So glad I made the call! Have been researching dishwashers for the past week and getting more and more confused. Every store/showroom I went to had limited displays and different opinions (usually opposite of mine) and very frustrating. Anyway, while doing my research I came back to looking at the Bosch models-one of my first choices- and came across a very informative YouTube video by Designer Appliances. I checked out their website-also very good- and saw a sale in place. Needless to say I started an online chat with Russell B. He asked if he could call and help. Very helpful! Thank you Russell for all the help! Will return when I need another appliance!
Could not have been a better experience
Could not have been a better experience. We wanted to replace a 25 year old gas cooktop and downdraft fan in an existing granite island and were concerned whether modern appliances would fit in the cutout. Cinthya (in Montclair showroom) heard our concerns and arranged for their installer to measure the space (free of charge) and then used those measurements to generate a list of options for us. She was knowledgeable and helpful without being pushy, and followed up exactly as promised. Prices were very competitive. Bottom line is that we got the product we wanted, at the price we wanted and met, and are very comfortable with, the installer that will do the installation. They will be our first stop for all future appliance purchases.

Went tto the Bedminster showroom and dealt with Jill ***. This was on March 12 just before the virus had really started to spread. Jill was very helpful in finding the replacement for my electric range. She was able to track down the model and promised delivery within two weeks. As the virus became a problem I thought that might not happen. but yesterday 3 "masked strangers" appeared at my door as scheduled and installed the range. During the past two weeks customer service was very patient in dealing with my anxieties re delivery. Sue especially. Would highly recommend Designer Appliances . The showroom is beautiful the staff knowledgeable and helpful. Oh and by the way my range was not "designer" but a mid priced GE range but received service as if it was.

From the moment we stepped into Designer Appliances in Montclair and met Russell, I knew we were in the best hands possible. We had previously gone to *** and ***, the difference was night and day! Russell automatically knew the appliances that would be the best fit for us. He is a true kitchen expert and knows the appliances like the back of his hand. He made excellent recommendations and guaranteed to price match any supplier. He was was very accommodating with us and provided us with an on-the-spot quote during a busy Sunday afternoon, rather than another appliance specialist that took nearly a week to get a quote! I still was deciding between two appliance brands and had a few questions about some of the features of the Wolf induction cooktop. Russell is extremely knowledgeable and anything he was unsure of, he immediately researched and got back to me momentarily. He guided me in making the best educated decision possible and I am certain that we made the best choice for the best value. It makes a difference going to an expert who has years of experience and has excellent relationships with the suppliers. Russell has made himself fully available even offering to reach him on his cell number after the store is closed with any questions that we might have. I wouldn't hesitate for a second in recommending Designer Appliances. They have a larger show room in Bedminster and he offered to even meet us there to walk us through the appliances, but it wasn't necessary for us. I wouldn't think twice about going with Russell at Designer Appliances. We felt assured that we were making the best decision for us.

I bought some appliances from Designer Appliances in Feb 2021 and put down a deposit. It's now September and we still have 2 problems. Firstly, we never got the speed over and they don't know why. Secondly, they brought us a broken fridge and won't fix it even though it's been over a month - they haven't even ordered the replacement part yet and keep delaying. We paid for a broken fridge and they don't seem to care - they take ages to reply and just say the same thing every time.

I bought a dishwasher from Designer Appliances and they said they'd install it too. But the guys who came to do the job were not good at it. They didn't know how to do plumbing and put the dishwasher in crooked. I had to tell Designer Appliances to send them back to fix it, but they wouldn't move the dishwasher to make it right. So now the handle sticks out too far. I've tried to get Designer Appliances to fix it, but they're not answering me.

Oceanic service came out and took some pics and said they'd order the parts. But it's been 2 months and we ain't heard nothing from them. And the microwave ain't been working right neither. We bought a gas range from Designer Appliances on 6/10. From the beginning, we've had problems with the oven. At first, it wouldn't light, and now it sometimes fails to relight when it cycles to maintain the selected temperature. Before our last service visit, we got an email saying that if the visit on 10/19 didn't fix the problem, Designer Appliance would work with us on a replacement. But we've had issues twice since then, and Designer Appliance wants to set up another service visit. Each visit takes about a month, and we've had this range for 5 months without a working oven. We thought we'd have replacement options by now, but it looks like we'll have to deal with more service visits for months to come.

We got lied to a bunch of times and our appliance never came. They kept saying it was on the way and we were next to get it. Our delivery time was from 8am to 11am. At 1130 they said they were on their way and stuck in traffic in the midtown tunnel. We live in the UWS and they said they were coming here. At 3pm they said they were still on their way (3.5hrs later). It's only 5 miles away. Google maps says it should only take an hour, even with traffic. When I asked about it, they said there was just a lot of traffic and they'd be here soon. At almost 4pm they called and said they couldn't make it today. The delivery person was trying to get to our house all day but couldn't. They said they'd try again tomorrow but no promises. I don't know if this is a scam and if we'll ever get our appliance.

I bought a really expensive Blue Star stove and salamander from Designer Appliances. I put down a lot of money as a deposit for some new kitchen appliances. The Blue Star stove was a special order and cost a lot of money. The business had the stove and my deposit for the other appliances. Later, I was charged with a crime and convicted. Before I went to prison, the owner of the business told me he would not give me back my deposit, but he would store the stove for me until I came for it. He also said I had a credit with him for the balance. Later, I used part of my credit to buy an Electrolux washer and dryer. Today, I asked for delivery of the stove and wanted to buy another appliance with my credit. But, I was told he destroyed the stove and is keeping my credit for a storage fee. This is a thief and I want to file criminal charges against him for theft by deception. He had no intention of storing my stove and no intention of returning any of my money. Don't trust this man, he is a liar and a thief.

This company is bad and not professional. I waited 350 days for my fridge from Designer Appliances. When it finally came, they sent it with a delivery company that had no insurance and no safety stuff. They wouldn't even bring it up my stairs unless I took responsibility for any damage. I can't do that for strangers carrying a big thing. The movers were scared and said they'd lose money if they broke it. That's illegal. Real movers have insurance, not me. I said no and asked for a better company. They sent the same bad company again with papers for me to sign and dents and scratches on my fridge. They broke it again! I've been without a fridge for a year and need one. I said to put me first in line for a new one, but they said no and gave me my money back. That's not ok.
