Direct tv charged me for porno movies I didn't rent. When I refused to pay the bill they turned this bogus bill over to a collection agency. I'm looking to start a class action lawsuit against direct tv. Feel like joining me ? Email me at [protected]@hotmail.com
Until then please tell everyone you know... Boycott direct tv... And bp toooooo !
Thank you,
Rick

After I cancelled my service in AugustI received a bill from direct tv for $200. They said it was for pay per view movies ordered in June. I have never in the 2 years i had their service ordered pay per view movies. I wrote to their disputes department because there is no contact number for that section, they said the movies were in the remote because the access card stores this info when you have no phone service. I have never been without phone service. watch out for this scam

direct tv's collections people harrassed us until may 16 (today. who knows. maybe it's not over) for equipment that direct tv admitted was received on march 1. during our many hours on the phone with direct tv, they admitted that they had received the nearly $600 worth of equipment, but were not able to contact their collection agency and stop the harrassment. Time after time, we were told "It's fixed". Then we'd get another call from collections. Direct TV is a NIGHTMARE. The one humorous moment was when an agent asked me if I would ever like to be a direct tv again.

Almost every month Direct TV charges me for something I do not get and did not order.

It started with me getting charged for extra receivers I do not have; then, they charged me for HD which I did not want and did not order; then I was charged for channels that were free as part of a promo.

Next, I tried a sports package to see if I liked it. They said if I do not cancell for 30 days, I would not be charged a cancellation fee. At first, I wasn't charged for cancelling after the 30 days. Then 3 months later they snuck in a charge for an early cancellation of that sports package even though I waited the specified time. Also, when I called to cancell after the 30 days, I was told I would not be charged!

It is a constant battle calling to get my bill fixed almost every month for bogus charges. I wonder, with a company as large as DTV, how many millions of dollars each month that they make off of people who do not scrutinize their bill as I do. Furthermore, If I am not alone in this monthly crusade for fairness in billing, I have to wonder how and why they get away with these practices.

I moved into an appartment in which I ordered television service from direct tv. Upon moving out in 2009 i cancelled the service and returned the equiptment back to them. About six months later I get a bill in the mail for over $400 in which I do not owe. They keep harrassing me over this money and sent my account to a collection agency trying to scare me by ruining my credit. They are now saying that I did not return the equiptment and that I used it at another address. It is a different reason for the bill every time I contact them. They refuse to listen or try to fix either this missunderstanding or scam they are pulling on me. Today, April 18, 2011 I recieved another bill from a collection agency through direct tv for now $558.97. I don't know how to make this go away, but they are definitely falsely charging me. Advice for those looking into television companies, direct tv can't get their billing right and they obviously don't like when you cancel your service.

Directtv has charged us for porno movies and I have never watched a porno movie in my life. They accused my husband of ordering them and when I confronted him, he left me. We are elderly and are christians and my husbands thoughts of my having trust for him is gone. He came back but what has happened because of Directtv is gone and cannot be repaired.

directv, like most big companies, outsources their collections to about 20 different companies. I am sure that directv is working on geting the debt cleared and letting the company know it is as a well. As with any collections amount, it takes time to clear.

We just got a letter saying the same thing! They are claiming we owe $54 for PPV movies ordered over a year ago. But not ordered through a phone line, just ordered directly through the box and they didn't know it til we returned the receivers to go back to cable. The first rep was some guy in India who hung up on my husband when he complained. They are saying it's our word against their computer records. But they say they won't tell us the titles of movies nor what time of say the so-called movies were purchased.

Take them to small claims court. They then will have to provide proof you ordered the movies.
