Have u checked the top 25 apps? Well, Believe it or not, but doodle jump is up there! If I could, I would just kick #1 away, and make doodle jump the NEW #1! because that's wat ths app REALLY deserves. It's really gr8 already, but 2 make it the bst it can be, it wouldn't hurt 2 give it some more updates. Stuff like candy land, haunted house, and another planet would be cool, 2. And I like the idea of desert theme, right? Again, ths app is really awsome, but more updates with better themes will make it a little better. Infact, more people might even buy it! And if this app is lucky, u might even have a chance of getting kicked up to the top of the list! Well, anyways, if u hav ever checked the reviews on pipi jump, (with the red ball) even the reviews on that agreed this is a waaaaayyyyy better app. And for those people who wrote reviews saying they Didn't like it, u should know that a LOT of people disagree with u. And as for me, I also totally disagree 2, because this app Is the COMPLETE opposite of what u said. All those people that dont like it or dont have it are dumb.

The little "news" thing u put in is great, but we don't get enough news very often. Remember the 1 telling us how 2 play as pocket god ooga? That 1 was super awsome, but what about the hidden Easter eggs? Or how 2 play as the creeps? Hmm? Get my point? I tottally think this game ROCKS! It's on FIRE! and I also agree with all those other people that doodle jump is a , 5 game but there r some little things here and there that it wouldn't hurt 2 fix or add. Doodle jump is super duper, it's the best game on my iPod touch, it's great and every1 luvs it! But fix those things 2 make it truly shine, the best it can be. I know that this is a really long review, but that's only cuz that's how much I LUV doodle jump!

This game is really very good - GREAT! So ever since I got I pod, phone, pad... I thought to my - very old woman - self "what about all of these amazing game apps I keep hearing about - so off I went to the app store and spent a small fortune - to no avail!

Out of all those "praised" games I did not like one of them. As mentioned - in the world of games, apps... I'm a geriatric - so except for one of those games I did not submit a bad review or any review, based on fairness I figured they may have been "bad" games or it could just have my ancient self!

That said most of those games were in the same general genre as doodle jump and by comparison (I now see) were just very bad! They were deleted of course.

So it's true doodle jump is a fantastic game for anyone really & yes it is addictive because it's not necessarily easy and you soooo want to play again and again to go farther and get better.

For those like me - who may not at first realize it - at the bottom of the screen you can choose different & very cool scenes within which to play! I love the soccer pitch scene for instance where you get to shoot out soccer balls at various "soccer monsters" or playing as a ghost in a cemetery at night is also fun. There are more cool choices.

Finally before you buy this game - because you simply must get it, I'd have gladly paid more for it - a few little tips: on your way up (the basic objective is to get yourself going higher and higher to gain points and discover more and more cool stuff...) you may have in your minds eye a place to land but if that landing place is no longer visible on the screen that means it's no longer there and you WILL fall friend - so watch out for that. Also when you encounter a monster you have to either avoid touching it (or you are Gone) or for great points you must destroy it by shooting at it - when you shoot be very careful to keep your balance and not fall and die, you have to remember as much to focus on keeping your balance
as you do shooting. Also remember when you find very cool things such as a trampoline or springs to help you go higher you won't just land automatically so look for your landing place and and and...
Just get it & have endless FUN

IT'S BRILLIANT!

Wow! They listed to me! Mabee, but I don't care. It is even better now! Here again are some ideas for possible updates.

Malfunctioning jet pack
So as you are using a jet pack, it could randomly be a bad one and swerve out of controll, explode in mid flight, or start going really slow.

Explosion shockwave
when the exploding platforms explode and you are very close to it, you end up riding the shockwave for a short

Giant Fire Ball Shot
You would get a fire ball power up and you would look like your steaming up. So the next time you shot, you would release a massive fireball and it would destroy the big monsters and UFOs in one hit.

Flamethrower Powerup

Really the same features as the fire ball shot but you would shoot a steam of flame and you could use it more than once, but with a limit, to where you stoped steaming.

Muliplayer mode
two itouches could play side by side and they could enter several things like a race or battle mode

Easter Egg.25 (Theme) option

I have two possible themes that might take a while to make, but would be well worth it.

Space Theme

Less or Slower gravity

This would be the essence to the them. Bassicially, when you jump off of a platform you would go up normially but fall down slower.

Aleans

Lots and olny aleans

Falling Metiorites

Although this would make it harder, It would really tie the theme together. You would have different sized meteorites that would take 1-3 hits to destroy.

Amazing bakground

I would want an amazing space background!

Planets wit rings

The rings of the planets that would appear ever so often would be used as platforms to jump off of. There would be angeled rings that would make you jump off in a diagonal direction.

Doodeler with space suit!

Boss or Insanity Creep mode

A mode where you battled bosses or one where you jumped with a crazy amount of bad guys would be really cool to!

Magnetic Platforms

Platforms that when you jump off of it it would pull you closer to it, thus raising gravity and lowering the hight of your jump. Also, when you jumped up to it and you normially would just be so close to getting on it, it would pull you up so you would start jumping off of it.

When I first bought this app during its initial release, I got hooked right away. I mean, it's so unbelievable that I was addicted to a game that was created by some small time company that is called "Lima Sky". As a gamer, I want games that are the best of the bests. Who would've thought that this simple game tops hardcore games from the likes of Gameloft and EA? Why? Because it's simple yet addicting. You even barely touch the controls; just sway the device from left to right with a couple of taps to shoot the enemies. The thrill and excitemenent as you jump way high through the platforms are incredibly genius and what joy it brings as gamers waste their time trying to post their names in Top 10 high scorers.. or just even beat their own high scores.

Now we've come to this.. Lima Sky's head grew so big that they think they own the word "Doodle" and so stupid that they are threatening small time companies who use "Doodle" in their apps as well. I've never commented an app way back when; this would be the first time after a long time of no commenting.. I've read the news and I was so disappointed that I had to comment on this app. Just because many gamers are now playing Doodle Jump doesn't mean you're now a big time company who has a lot of money to hire lawyers when, in fact, you were once a small time company yourself. Indie developers are now threatened and are obliged to change their apps without the word "Doodle" because they can't afford to hire lawyers. See what have you done, Lima Sky!

I've read the other comments and most of them said that they already have deleted the app. I was planinng to do the same.. But if I deleted it, I would miss the fun it brings to me, of course.. However, this action of Lima Sky just reminds me of how childish the company is. Lima Sky, what do you think it will bring to your company if you have succeeded deleting all the apps with the word "Doodle", huh? Positive? Hell, no! Yeah, right, you have so many 5-star ratings as always every time you bring out a new update. And they're still counting probably because the gamers haven't read the news yet. But just wait for the 1-star ratings coming on your way. Just enjoy the throne you've been sitting on as always on the Top 10.. One day, you'll find yourselves on Top 100 or maybe even gone! What goes up must come down..

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll play "PapiJump", the game which you ripped off obviously.

I love the game, but here's a few changes I would make...

I have compiled a list of bugs/changes/adds to fix/make the game better. I also have a few ideas that might be considered, but they are just ideas and the game would still be fun without them

-more trampolines after around 50k (you see none)
-fix the big where the propellor hat take you between the series of 5 spring platforms placed very far apart where you cannot survive
-add achievements (to keep players playing) like for number of hours played or for something like jumping on a monster with spring shoes or UFO chopper
-even out the levels. I've noticed that the Easter level is easiest because it is missing several hard sequences and black holes and the newest platforms added
-in game volume adjust - this would be useful for when a user is listening to music (in background) with headphones. If you do this now, the jumping noises can be very loud compared to music, especially if you use sound check
-when I get onto the global leader board, I want to also have the option of posting to twitter & facebook
-better directional shooting - shots go toward where finger touches screen, so if, for example, you are on the left of the screen and you touch the left side of the screen, you shoot straight up instead of to the left
-ability to merge the Christmas app scores (not the snow level, but the separate Christmas one) & achievements and sequences
-in-app purchases - I would love to support the game as much as I can, and I'm sure others would too - add some bonus levels/sequences for users who are fine with paying a little more for you guys

UPDATE:
As much as I have loved Doodle Jump, I've found another climbing app I love better (sorry Devs). That app (out of respect for this great app, I'll withhold the other app's name) has a much more flexible jumper, it has more objects to catch (coins, gifts, airplanes, etc). You can earn diamonds that can be used to buy outfits, headgear (some that protect against monsters), themes with their own bonuses (some monsters carry coins), and even game helpers (more airplanes, magnets, etc). It even has a word a day that can earn a diamond a day (today we earned three...probably due to the Easter holiday, since the word was "basket"). How do you win? Occasionally a platform carries a letter of the word. Land on the platform and you get the letter. Try to collect all letters. You can buy helpers: letters are presented in order, indicator warns about an approaching letter, letter magnet.

I still enjoy this app, but the other one has much more to grab.

Some creatures will actual carry you upwards (like dolphins would carry you in real life), HOWEVER, you won't know which ones they are until you jump on them.

Every once in a while he runs out of oxygen and slows down until he lands on another one of the tanks that are sporadically spread around the platforms.

Maybe add stingrays that swim around and shock him (his body does the skeleton shock thing before he floats to the top). Of course, he can avoid them, and they only last one screen unit like the monsters do. Not sure how difficult it would be for the devs, though.

When I first got the Pod, I went crazy downloading apps. I saw Doodle Jimp, and thought, "How in the world would an app like this be THAT successful to have THAT many 5-star reviews? I was skeptical. It is not ONLY not 3D, but is literally a doodle that looks like it was quickly and carelessly drawn by a bored jr. high kid in English class (sorry guys..I'm looking through a graphic designer's eyes).
The only reason I broke down and bought it was because Ooga was on it and I LOVE "Pocket God"!

Well, at first I didn't do well with Doodle Jump. I almost gave up until my son got hold of it and doubled my score (I thought I raised him better than that).

So I played it more seriously to get past his score.

Yes, it's absolutely addicting. I have downloaded Doodle Jump wannabes, but as nice and polished as they might look (sorry guys), DJ has yet to be outdone.

I learned two lessons:

1. Don't judge a book by it's illustrations (sorry guys), and

2. Hide my Pod from my son

Get Doodle Jump. It's worth the buck. THEN go over and download Pocket God. In a deal made between both apps' developers, there is a version of Doodle Jump on PG, (but even that isn't as good as DJ). Don't fret. PG has other games; and they just added a nice Canabalt clone (I love the duo screen of pygmies when they fall...and it IS better than Canabalt).

Oh! What did Doodle Jump get for exchange of their game in Pocket God? Type in "Ooga" (without quotes) where you type in your name in Doodle Jump. Viola! A pygmie now jumps the platforms!

Every bored person - whether in class or stuck in a boring meeting nurtures a secret fantasy: that doodles would come to life and entertain him or her while waiting for the hours to pass. Well, Doodle Jump is here to make that fantasy come true!

Doodle Jump is time wasting perfection on the iDevice. You guide The Doodler, which happens to be the cutest cartoon creation on the iPhone and iPod Touch as it jumps higher and higher on while collecting power-ups and dealing with various obstacles and enemies in the carefully constructed notepad universe.

There are plenty of power ups waiting on the platforms to make the jumping a little easier - a spring here, a propeller hat there, spring shoes, and best of all, a jetpack for some nifty flying. There are creative obstacles, too - black holes, UFOs, broken/disappearing platforms, moving platforms, and alients. There are just as cute enemies in the Doodle universe, and you can shoot them (you can turn directional shooting on/off) or bounce off their heads, Mario style. Once in a while, a handy shield pops up, putting Doodler in a protective bubble.

The minimalist approach to the graphics and sounds is incredibly effective and heightens your focus on going higher and higher. The graphics are clean, simple and the creatures are simply endearing. The sound effects are subtle but just as effective - I love hearing the warning sound when a monster is nearby or even the dreaded sound when it's game over.

The controls are, as promised, incredibly subtle and accurate making movement natural and intuitive while keeping the game challenging. I still have difficulty shooting enemies without falling off the platform and I'm scouring for tips on how to do it properly.

The local and online scoreboards and social media integration make Doodle Jump will bring out your competitive side. It must be neatly scribbled markers in the right margin of the notepad that fuels the competition. My boyfriend and I are always trying to beat each other's high scores, sneaking off Bruce II to put in a few minutes while the other is busy doing something else. We've got a bit of Doodle Shame, too - our scores are pitifully low compared to the proudly posted scores online so we're still practicing earnestly.

The menu is easy to navigate and offers customizable settings - just tap and swipe away. The regular updates based on feedback even make the game bigger and better than it already is. The ver 1.3 update now officially incorporates Halloween and Christmas themes, so you can switch between the themes with a simple swipe. Change your player name to 'Ooga' and the doodle becomes the pgymy in Pocket God while 'CREEPS' changes the monsters to the lovable creeps in the game, The Creeps.

Here's another great thing about it - Doodle Jump is battery friendly! It will keep your battery alive and you entertained a lot longer than most games.

I hope more themes and power-ups come out, as well as special weapons Doodle can pick up to fight the enemies.

I played this game nonstop for a while but then it got desperately boring. What the creators need to do is have levels so that if you make it past a certain point you can save your progress at thar level so if you die you don't have to start at the beginning again. These days I play but I don't make it very far not because I don't have the skill but because it is hard for me to pay attention to the beginning of the game because it is too boring and easy... I usually mentally fall asleep and die by looking away or thinking of something else. If I can manage to keep my attention long enough to get to something challenging for 10 seconds then I die because of the difficulty ... but then God forbid I have to start all over again at the beginning just to get back to those few interesting seconds.

I'm an open-minded person so when I came across Doodle Jump and saw the ratings & read all the hype, of course I purchased it (and was VERY excited to begin playing, I might add)!
I have never been so disappointed (in a game) in all my 30 yrs of life and I've played hundreds of different games! I cannot, for the life of me, understand why ev1 is so crazy about, and addicted to, this particular game/app! I know it's only my one opinion out of thousands but this game is SO FLIPPIN' BORING and was nothing more than a waste of my time & money! I agree with another reviewer...you must be, like, 5 yrs old to love this game and ANYONE who prefers Doodle Jump over Angry Birds is INSANE!

This game is a highly addictive game but I have found that is is mainly doing well because of it's name. One thing I would like to see is all new game modes. Being a user and a big fan as I am I have to many to think of many ideas to improve this app. I think there should be classic, arcade, and see how high you can go in 60 seconds. Me being a big time user and lover of this game I see many improvements all the time. I will refuse to give this app 5 stars because I see much more potential for this thought that was made into an app also there are so many people out there who give it 5 stars just because their friends say it is good. So pretty good game but lots of room for improvement I write this review because I wish that people will stop and really think about this app and the potential of this app that should not be put to waste.

First off, the broken platforms should be less noticable, the point of those should be to try and trick people. The fact that they are a different color defeats the point completely.

The gun only shoots 3 directions...what the hell is with that? What am I going to do when there is only one platform I can reach, and there is a moving enemy coming... And I can't jump back to my previous platform because the screen moved less than a millimeter above it.

I also just deleted the app because of how full of themselves the developers are, they let the popularity go to their head, when this type of game isn't original in the first place. Every update isn't equal to a new damn game, give me a break. Adding a jungle skin to the original game is an update. If you were to pay more money for the exact same game, because of that, you're a [censored].

U fixed my fav glitch!other than that this game is ok. Btw if u have ninja and don't have newest update for game center, follow these directions for
Invisible platforms.(doesn't work on Halloween and ghost)1. Die in ninja mode. 2. Go to store directly after u die. 3. Go to main menu. 4. Play a round of ghost. 5. Press on store in main menu and do sumo and exit. 6. Press on ninja. 7. Tiles should be invisible. 8. If it works everything else should have weird platforms or be invisible. To get out of glitch exit out of app and double press home button on iPhone, iPad, etc. it will show what ever apps u have played recently. Hold down on d jump, and press the x like ur deleting an app. Go back to doodle jump and everything should be back to normal. :-) enjoy hope this helped. You shouldn't buy this game. It is an excuse for someone to be lazy and earn money. This game doesn't have an artistic style, all it has is art done by someone who only doodles. Now obviously, yes this is Doodle Jump, but they should have made WAY better Objects, monsters, etc. This is NOT addictive, infact it's the opposite. I'd suggest something like Tiny Wings if you want addictive. I STILL play that game because it has music, change in environment, and art that is appealing, like that of Dr. Seuss.
The multiplayer is annoying and never different. I have a few suggestion for the developers if they want to appeal to people like me: 1. Make funny doodles that make me want to look at again and again. 2. Make music , and make it not too cheesy. 3. Make different playable characters with different abilities, but they also have disadvantages. Thank you for reading this.

I owe a series of congratulations to the makers of this game: one for being the most popular iPod apps ever designed but for also setting the bar low for all other apps. It is clear to myself and many others that the simplicity of this game can be seen as an insult to our intelligence. A game where all you do I jump and shoot at artist drawn abominations does not deserve all of the titles it now possesses. There are millions of other apps in the App Store that deserve the titles of Best Game and many others, due to the fact that it seems that it took the makers of Doodle Jump thirty minutes to make this game. It is up to the responsibility of the players and customers of the App Store to give the less well known apps a chance to make a name for themselves and to strip the titles off of Doodle Jump and give them to more thought out/ more developed games. Its fun for a while, but it gets boring after a few weeks. For people who like this type game, but want a cooler, more addictive game, search up "Mega Jump" been playing that longer than doodle jump, and havint gotten bored yet. Doodle jump creators, you need to add more power-ups. Doodle jump is a good game, just needs a better update. Or atleast better than 15 achievments. C'mon guys, really? Its been 2 months and the update was only 15 achievments? Add more power-ups, or make the jetpack UPGRADEABLE! that would be sweet! Few more suggestions would include:
Easy, medium, and hard levels.
Upgradeable jump power, jetpacks, rockets, and propellor hats (bennies).
Unlockable levels.
Addictive points.(unlocks levels) (to get addictive points reach a certain height or you could buy them) like 100 addictive points - $0.99; 300 AP(addictive points) - $1.99; etc. More money for you, more fun for us!

This app is AMAZING! The controls are acurate, the doodle is cool, and the fun is neverending! I could play this app for DAYS at a time! The normal doodle is exeptional! The cristmas doodle is great, i love the presents! The halloween doodle is WAY better than the origianal graveyard doodle( if thats even possible)! The junge doodle is also exeptional, i love the mushroom flying saucer! But in my opinion the space is best! The rocket in it is double the speed and gives you double the speed of the jetpack! The underwater and world cup are also phenominal! To any people reading this from lima sky, I would like to request a theme. A great movies theme! It takes you through famous movies such as casablanca, the wizard of ozz, etc. Thank you!

On average doodle jump is a decent game... however I find that it has many problems. One of the problems is that when you shoot straight up it will shoot to the left (I am aware that this is called directional shooting and there is a setting to turn it off. That setting is a problem two because you do not need to shoot straight all the time.) Other problems would be found in the " world cup" edition. I don't understand why in some games there are more difficulties yet the same amount of points. Also there are some things or tricks if you rather that I don't know how to use. You should make a cheat cheat that tells all the tricks. All in all when I first got doodle jump I thought it was an awesome game... Now it bores me. Changing the backround doesn't make a difference. I recommend to fix the problems, add a cheat cheat, and spice up the game(with just changing the backround). With all of these improvements the game could be awesome again.

Be honest fans: DoodleJump is how you spend your idle time, or more shocking, your potentially productive time? This game isn't BAD, but is this truly what passes for "addictive" iPhone games? Are people actually obsessed with "beating" the score of unknown players on Facebook and Twitter?
Platform to platform to platform, this game is about as mindless and repetitive as I can imagine... and really not that satisfying. Cute concept and all, but boredom set in after 10 minutes.
I know that I will be cast down by the hordes of zombies who are addicted to this drivel, but so be it. Angry Birds (to which I have no affiliation) is VASTLY better and far more addictive, at least for those of us who still utilize the grey matter packed inside our cranium.
Odd that Lima Sky doesn't offer a trial version of this game. Based on anything I've written, if you are hesitant to drop even a meager 99 cents on this, I suggest you skip this and move on. The immense *hypeis just baffling.

Uggh. Hype... Ok. Mindless jumping until you die. The sad thing is I just summed up the whole game. The game is not in depth, not very creative, and very repeditive. A game where all you do is progress upwards is not that great.

Yes, the developers tried to make it more interesting by adding new platforms and enemies, but essentially it is still the same. See, for five minutes this is good. How do people lose thier jobs, get dumped, and ruin their lives by playing this so much?

My theory is this: All of you say this is the best game ever on your device because you only have a few apps, and Doodle Jump compared to Cube and Hand Heater is a no brainer! I can tell you which games are better.

You may not agree, but while Doodle Jump has maybe 20 features, PG has more than 100.

I bought this game without a second thought. It's one of the highest rated games in the app store and is considered a must-have for every iPhone/iPod Touch user. However, upon opening the app and playing the game for the first time, it became clear to me that whatever I just played, it was awful. I figured it must just be some bad intro level or training mode... only to find out that it was in fact the entire game.

In theory it is an amazing game, but the actual gameplay experience is tedious, nerve-wracking, boring, banal, the list of adjectives could go on and on... The sound effects make me sick to my stomach... it sounds like some poorly animated PBS kids cartoon from the 80's you'd hear at 8 in the morning... the pitiful sound effects seem almost ironical, mocking the user's gullibility and bewilderment as they think, "What, that's it? That's Doodle Jump!?"

Spare yourself the anguish, this game is just plain bad. What's my alternative you ask? I'll give you an alternative: it's called Mega Jump, and it is INCREDIBLE. And it's free.

Also, for a game with this kind of popularity, you'd think it would support iPhone 4's retina display.

I got this game based on all the good reviews and plugs at various ipod-gaming blogs, and had high hopes. Sadly, I feel I was greatly misled. My main issues with the game are the controls, the difficulty, and the monotony of the game.

The controls are tilt-sensor only, so if you're accustomed to D-pad and buttons style gaming, it can take some serious getting used to. With that said, I'veplayed other tilt control games (I Love Katamari comes to mind) that weren't as sensitive as this and worked great. I think an option to have control buttons instead of tilt-sensing would be nice.

The difficulty is a related issue. miss a platform and you die and have to start over from the very beginning. no save points, no extra lives, nothing. The power-ups are nice. I like the trampolines, propeller hats, and jetpacks, but something that creates a shield at the bottom edge of the screen would be better.

Lastly, there's no real incentive to get very far. No extra lives to win, no new levels, just more of the same bouncing on platforms. I can see this game as having limited appeal for a brief little 2-minute, stuck-in-line-somewhere diversion, but prolonged play is pointless.

First off, game needs way more user control. Then again, that's probably why Americans love it, because they don't really DO anything and they see the character moving and they barely tilt their phone and they get the allusion that they are playing a great game (-_-) GAME IS NOT THE HYPE THAT AMERICAN CONFORMIST BRAINWASHED REVIEWERS MAKE IT OUT TO BE! Its ok, but you people are going a bit to far, somebody even daring to compare this game to heaven! How dare you stupid people even to think of that type of comparison, you all truly are sick. Anyway, There should be an easy mode for younger children, maybe with the left and the right side having "bumpers", as there are in bowling, so the character can't go behind the screen and come out the other side as he does because when my children play, they always die because of that. Lastly, the sound of the character dying is possibly the most annoying and obnoxious noise I have ever heard. Overall, a decent value for your money, to developers: instead of investing your time into themes, which don't really do anything, invest it into improvements in the game. Thanks :)

I love doodle jump! Whenever I'm depresed I play doddle jump. I think it's the best app ever. It's so good that another game is trying to copy it and make it better. It's called froggy jump. It does the themes and it even has something called pimp ur frog! WOW! Anyway, I love doddle jump. Thanks for the awesome app! Bye!

I love doodle jump BUT froggy jump is becoming better. I know some people won't think this is true BUT it is! It's hard to beileve but it's sooooo true. People at camp skool and all around town say this is true. U need to download froggy jump. U can dress a frog get diomands be in lava and in snow. Even underwater! it has everything and it just keeps on adding. So doodle jump is kool but froggy jump stole ur idea and made it better. U should steal their idea and make it unbeatable! Good luck doodle jump creators. Your gonna to need it. Oh and by the way the person writing the looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong list and said that froggy jump is boring well there must be a glitch on ur iPod/iPhone/ipad cause it's awesome.
