I purchased a dishwasher from Dufresne in Winnipeg on November 23. I was informed that I would be contacted to schedule delivery and installation, as well as removal of the old dishwasher. I paid extra for these. A couple of days later I received an automated text message with 3 dates to choose for the delivery. I chose November 29, as it was a day that a friend could be at my home for the delivery and installation, as I was not able to take time off of work. They delivered the dishwasher, but said that they couldn't install it nor take the old one. I called customer service and was told that I should have scheduled these on the phone, not through the automated text message. I said that I was told that they would contact me, which they did. The customer service person was rude to me while telling me that the issue was on their end. When I asked for a solution, she said that she sent an email to the company that does installation and that they were supposed to be the ones to deliver it, as well as install and take away the old one. Due to the rudeness of this person, I ended the call and talked to another customer service rep. This person apologized for the mistake and said that the person who made the mistake would have coaching and that they would refund me $100. I was told that I needed to call the company to schedule the installation, or wait for them to call. As the new dishwasher is taking up so much space in my small home that I have to move it to get into the bedroom, then again to get into bathroom or kitchen, I called them. I was told that I need to wait for them to call me sometime next week to schedule the install. I had made all the arrangements at time of purchase so that this wouldn't happen and trusted Dufresne. Now I get to move a dishwasher around to get from room to room until it finally gets installed who knows when! It is very unlikely that I will ever shop with them again in the future.
Desired outcome: I want my dishwasher installed properly and asap, and old one removed. I also think that I should be refunded the 200 dollars I paid for the installation and removal.
