Mixed Experiences with Dulux Paints
As someone who has been using Dulux paints for years, I have had a mix of experiences with their products. While some paints like Dulux Once provided great coverage in just one coat, others like the Easy Care range turned out to be disappointing, requiring multiple coats and feeling like wallpaper paste. The quality seemed inconsistent, leaving me unsure about future purchases. Despite the convenience of some products, the overall experience has been a rollercoaster of results.

Dulux paint refuses to give me account with you guys Evan tho I have one at Sherwin Williams an Benjamin Moore aswell.
Last year Neil Miller has spoken to me and while discussing charge account I brought up to him I'm bidding on big building projects and was told I can't handle that by him but he's got a friend that paints and should be getting those jobs.
This is really disgusting behavior from a company if you ask me,I know have these also screenshots of him not caring about the customers.
He's the reason I only bought $800 in sales last year and messages me saying he will be adjusting my prices because of it.
Claimed loss: No loss
Desired outcome: A response and Neil Miller to have no contact with Bakers Painting

Nightmare paint experience
This paint was a total nightmare to apply and definitely isn’t ‘a quality product. So much so I returned it to B&Q.
The walls were adequately prepared beforehand but this paint lifted off the walls when rolling over. No amount of trying could deal with it. Caused a great deal of stress and days of wasted time and energy. An online search has now shown up many professional decorators finding similar problems with this product.
A simple refresh of our kitchen has now taken a life of its own. We now have to sand the walls to removed this nasty paint which has made a complete mess.
I would recommend anyone DO NOT buy this paint!
paint supply
I bought two tins of paint from B&M at Armley Leeds on the 14th of July with the intention of decorating my grandsons bedroom for his birthday. the first tin was no problem first coat but upon using the second tin and applying it to the walls there was a very noticeable colour difference. both tins were mixed with my drill will a paint mixer attached. I had to then go back to B&M with a view to getting a refund but i was told id have to contact dulux to ask for a replacement or refund. after several arguments i left and bought replacement paint from B&Q. Obviously you will understand i quite miffed about this. i have supplied pictures of the difference. [protected]@gmail.com is my email
Desired outcome: REFUND OR REPLACEMENT

The Dulux Maximum cover white paint
The paint was bought a month ago and states it is highly washable which is a blatant lie. The wall have two coats of this paint and we bought it because it said highly washable.
We have a young son that touch’s everything and marks everything but we were not concerned because the paint said washable which simply is not the case if you wipe the walls down with water and a cloth it wipes the paint right off so how is this washable.
Desired outcome: I either want my money back because we bought two 20lt drums of this paint or Dulux need to give me paint that actually does what it states.
Dulux need to give me paint that does what is stated on there containers which is why we bought the paint or they are to refund me the money for 2 20lt drums of this defective product
Dulux warm pewter one coat and choc shadow one coat
I have purchased one coat warm pewter and one coat chic shadow and decorated my dining room one colour and front room the other and I have noticed over the past few weeks some spots appearing that look like wet spots but they are not wet to touch and I am very stressed as I live on my own and it took me 1 month to do both rooms as I did it myself and I now feel really disappointed with the look of my walls

Dulux Maxi Cover Nukote
I have purchases the Dulux Maxi Cover Nukote 20L in December 2022 from Builders warehouse.
On Application to the interior surface, I was disappointed in purchasing the product.
I had to apply 3 to 4 coats to the surface using a roller and brush and still no satisfaction to the walls.
Extremely disappointed and had to purchase another product to complete the painting.
Truly not satisfied
Desired outcome: Request a refund as this has just added to an extra cost
Dulux magic white paint
As I was having my entire living room decorated in time for my new settee to be delivered before christmas I wemt to b & q and purchased dulux large tin of magic white costing £36 for the walls and dulux satin white for ceiling. It is a victorian house with high ceilings and walls, id also like to stress that I have a terminal health condition of emphasemia aswell as copd and through this am unable to work so not in any position to throw money away! First tin of your magic white went on nice but needed a second tin for a second coat. This was applied the day before the arrival of the new sofa. To my horror the following day the walls were a complete mess! A horrible dirty grey patchy on every wall so the money id spent on paint then tje money it cost me to have someone paint for me.. May as well have been thrown away. As I was back to square one with every single wall needing a full repaint! And a new sofa being delivered in a hour! What should have cost me 150 in total in paint ended up costing me double and having to pay twice to get someone out again! Ive got photos and receipts of the paint and costs and I want this dealt with as its put me through enormous stress and uneccessary costs!

Deluxe magic white paint is now a total waste of money as it has been made so pale it does not show up as pink when applied. It used too be very good and easy to see where you had painted however it seems that they have reduced the pick pigment so much it doesn't show see picture
Unsatisfactory Services by ICI in Multan, Pakistan
Dear Sir
Good day. We are painting our newly-constructed 1 kanal house in Royal Orchards Multan. We have always used ICI in the past too. So far the paint in interior has been ICI's. We are have 2 complaints due to unprofessional service by your representatives.
1) We have to move on to external paint, but for color selection, we have to show your representative a house in Royal Orchards. However, your representative in the area, a Mr Ahmed, appears to be totally uninterested in his job. We have tried multiple times to contact him, but he would never answer or return a call. I don't see what option we have but to turn to a different brand because your company doesn't appear to have a lot of interest in selling paint.
2) Majority of paint we selected for the interior was composed on your machine that mixes to give a customized shade. Your dealer at 'Shafqat Paints Multan' made a mistake and gave the wrong color. However, they have not compensated for their error or given a substitute or refund.
I am bringing the poor quality of service provided as a result choosing ICI Dulux to your attention as a favor. Through this email, we express regret on choosing your brand.

Dulux weathshield Gloss paint
I've always used Dulux paint because of the quality, But recently bought 2 x tins of Conker gloss paint. Each tin was £28. Total spent, £56 . The paint was APPALLING. The pigment kept rising to the top in tiny red spots and was as thin as water. . I did everything it said to do on the directions on the tins and each coat applied turned out 2 different tones! Instead of getting a Conker colour both tins went on brown/green, then from the same tin brown/red. How the hell am I supposed to be able to paint when the colour changes? This time Dulux has been THE worst paint I've ever used. I painted my walls outside my home and now have 2 different "browns" from the SAME tin. Will I use Dulux in the future? No way.
Desired outcome: Refund for both tins. £56
Poor customer service
I contacted your store in Wycombe at 4.40pm to order some paint over the phone to come and collect.
I could tell straight away the Gentleman who answered the phone to me didn't want to help, he was more concerned about going home!
He told me it would be easier to order the paint online.
After struggling to order the paint I required I called back to try and order it for a second time over the phone and pay by payment link.
At this stage it was now 4.45pm and I was told that the shop was shutting at 5pm.
He then told me he didn't have access to the payment link and that I would need to call back tomorrow - in short, he couldn't be bothered!
I then called through to the Slough branch who were very accommodating and took my order right away.
He then took all of my details and sent me the payment link via email.
the colours have been mixed and are being placed into the collection bins as we speak!
it's now 5.04pm and the man in the shop couldn't be more helpful even past his working hours!
Dulux quick dry mid sheen satinwood black
I have been using your products for years for many reasons.
Quality of product & customer service bring the primary reasons.
Up to now I've never complained or been unhappy with any of your products.
However, having now used this Satinwood on a primed wooden interior plant holder I can honestly say it is by far the worse Dulux product I have ever used.
So far I've given it 2 coats as instructed on the tin.
However, the almost 10% opacity for each coat leads me to believe that it will require about 10 coats, and I'm not sure that will provide 100% opacity.
10 coats I'd unnecessarily excessive.
I was hoping to use this paint on skirting boards but will now search for a better product.
The attached photo is after 2 coats.
Desired outcome: Full refund and/or advice on a more suitable product.
Account closure poor management with accounts
Between January 2021 up until the covid lockdowns in July, I bought $30,000 worth of Dulux products because of me promoting the brand. During the lockdown I lost the contract with the builder I was working for and had an overdue bill for a measly $1200 remaining. Not to mention I have a young family to provide for. Work is slowly picking up pace now but from the time my bill was overdue until now I have been getting harassed and threatened to be taken to collections by phone calls and emails from someone in accounts Arzu Canuk or Ivar now this piece of crap of a human being does not take into consideration or have any decency that family businesses have been struggling and families have been struggling financially and mentally because of this covid pandemic. Now today has topped it off I get another call from this piece of [censored] saying my account is closed and it’s been sent to collections once this bill is finalised, I want my account to be closed indefinitely as I do not want to deal this piece of [censored] of a person in accounts ever again and I will be promoting another brand to my clients. Dulux Australia I’am very disappointed in the way your accounts are managed and will be making a complaint to ACCC because how accounts handle overdue bills and the way they go about it after explaining my financial situation.
Desired outcome: My desired outcome is you take a good look at the people handling the accounts department and overdue payments. Train them better
Dulux matt ‘first dawn’
A couple of months ago I employed a professional decorator to paint our stairwell and landing. Whilst the finish was good I was totally shocked when I saw the depth of the colour blue. It would be better named ‘Hot Midsummer Sky’ rather than ‘First Dawn’. I had wanted the impression of an early flush of gentle light in this area as the name suggests. I cannot live with this colour and have had to save up and rebook the decorator to rectify.
I would like to warn other customers not to be mislead by the name of this paint.
Desired outcome: I do not have receipts or batch numbers so realise that a refund may not be possible, however a contribution to the cost of the new paint/ decorator would be welcome. I have selected Cotton Breeze this time and am crossing my fingers
Colour mixing
Yesterday, 22nd February 2022, I purchased a litre of Trade Dulux Diamond Satinwood paint from our local (Exmouth, Devon) branch of Jewson. It was for internal use. I needed an off-white colour to match existing window frames and sills, and I asked for 'Ivory White', in the expectation that it would meet my requirements. (there were no colour charts on hand). It was duly mixed for me, at a cost of £31.84. On opening it at home, I was amazed to see that the colour was almost 'buttercup'; nothing like what I would expect 'Ivory White' to be. I took it back to Jewson, and they checked they had not made a mistake. They suggested that, if I was not happy with the colour of the paint, I could take advantage of your 'colour promise'. As it turned out, however, that 'promise' seems not to apply to Satinwood for some inexplicable reason!
You will see that I have attached three photographs: one of the label on the tin I purchased, one of the open tin (showing the colour), and one of a comparison between the so-called 'Ivory' and your 'Brilliant White'.
I am very, very unhappy with the situation I have been placed in.
Desired outcome: An apology and some form of recompense, please.
so you simply guessed at the colour you were trying to match, and it didn't match? what a surprise.
take responsibility for your own actions, and don't blame others. get a colour chart and get the closest match, or repaint the whole lot in the same fresh colour, its not rocket science. jeees...

soft sheen for walls and ceilings
i recently purchased a 2.5 l can of Dulux soft sheen extra deep base from a local hardware store. it was at a reduced price and was colour mixed to a teal colour, but was the colour we wanted. Can you give me any reason why the paint will not adhere properly to a white emulsion painted plaster wall. I used a brand new expensive roller and although i am not a professional painter, i have never had any result like this. Even after 2 coats, the wall is extemely patchy and the paint will not stay on the wall, as every time i move the roller it removes the paint, and parts of the wall look as though no paint has been applied. I recently painted this wall with another brand of white emulsion, covering a rather deep blue with no problems. i have supplied photos. Any advice would be welcome.
Desired outcome: just advice on my possible painting errors
