I ordered party of five box set from these rip off merchants. They have taken £90 from my account but have not sent confirmation of my order or replied to the numerous e mails i've sent. I am now trying to recoup the money from my bank and have had to change my account details because of this. Please be aware that this website is not to be trusted, i only wish i had read up on this website before ordering from them.

Wow! I am amazed at the complaints that those sites are getting.
I am glad I found this page because I was going to order the Wonder years series from them.

But for the past 3 weeks I've been doing thorough research on these sites and like one of the complaints before said, they are all the SAME site whether it's "DVD-Donkey" "DVDdiesel" "todvdornottodvd.com"...they are most likely run by the same people and one of the main clues that it's them is the web page style. Google for instance "Summerland DVD" and all their sites will come up, and the prices are exact and the coverart is exact. and prices. That "buck toothed" Donkey caricature on the page, a picture of the hulk or my favorite, Billy bob thorton from Bad Santa is your Warning sign! When you see them run don't walk!

First of all, $299.99-$599.99 prices for the complete series of (insert series here) is ridiculous and a rip off to begin with no matter how much discs there are in the set or rare the series is. None of it is official anyways. All "fancy" bootlegg, and this is why so many complaints about defective discs. Most likely they spend thousands and thousands on advertising and can't meet the demands of buyers so they don't send anything sometimes.

When big money is being spent you have to do extensive research online and even go to the better business bureau's official website to see if there are any complaints about them. It's sad that ALOT of us online buyers forget about this service; they are here to expose these sites and hear from both ends. You can file a complaint against any business there as well.
Any credit card processing system that doesn't have the "https://"
which "S" stands for security, stay away from it.

The money was taken from my bank account and I have made several communications with this matter and have just been and keep getting fobbed off,lie after lie, I find this a crap customer service and I am now getting EXTREMELY ANNOYED at this standard of SERVICE. Complete SCAM and my advice is not to buy from this company!

I recently ordered the complete set of Perry Mason (all 12 seasons) and received them after some minor delay, which did not really cause a problem. The challenge I have is, the first disc of the first season would not play all the way through. I called and was told a replacement disc would be mailed to me and I could return the faulty disc in the same package. The replacement disc has never arrived. I have since discovered: 1) additional faulty discs that won't play through 2) multi generation episodes that are very fuzzy and poorly recorded, and have the Hallmark logo in the bottom righthand corner of the picture 3) discs with scratches on them (these are supposed to be brand new dvd's) 4) duplicated episodes on different discs. It seems apparent that no effort will be made to correct these problems and that no one is in charge of policing such marketing abuses. That being said. If DVDDonkey continues to function on the internet they should be made to place money in escrow to rectify the apparent large number of shoddy products they have placed in the marketplace.

I ORDERED A SET OF SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN DVD'S FROM THIS COMPANY LAST WEEK AND HAVE YET TO GET AN E-MAIL CONFORMATION ABOUT MY ORDER. I CALLED AND GOT THRU ONE TIME AND WAS TOLD IT WAS SHIPPING. NOW MY CREDIT CARD HAS BEEN CHARGED FOR ABOUT 7.00 MORE THAN MY ORDER AND I CAN NOT GET ANYONE TO ANSWER THE PHONE OR CONNECT TO A LIVE CHAT. I WISH I HAD FOUND OUT ABOUT THIS COMPANY BEFORE I ORDERED. MY CONCERN IS WHY THEY ARE ALLOWING TO STAY ON THE INTERNET. IF ALL THESE PROBLEMS ARE BEING POSTED, WHY IS IT NOT SHUT DOWN?

I order some DVD from DVDDonkey, thinking their prices were a little cheaper than other sites. However, I had nothing but problem from them. First, I never received my 48 hr. notice. Then, they charge me a fee that they call system charge of $7.14; which was supposed to be charge by my bank. That was a lied, because I asked my bank about it. Next, their tracking that they gave me never worked till the week I was going to get it, which was about 15 days later. After the day I filed a dispute is when my order arrived. I only got through their CSR line onced, since then, it was always, no answer. I email them, but they just kept sending me emails that my order is being deliver/process and if I was to cancel, they were going to even deducted more off my actual payment. It was until I opt to cancel that they actually sent the DVDs. I was pretty upset by then. So far, the ones I view are okay. However, I advised anyone considering to order from them to not. I will never order from them again. They have the worst service of all. I got charge extra and it was not worth the discount. In the end, I probably paid about the same price if I had order from reputed sites; such as Amazon.

I too ordered a complete boxset of the columbo series, they swindled over a hundred dollars from me, this company seems to be linked to several other dodgy companies and they are taking everyone for a ride.
Beware of the DVDplanet.org as well.
Someone must be able to do something, somewhere.
They are guttless swine preying on people thinking they are getting a good deal, and especially at christmas time, you ###!

I discovered your site too late. I have ordered The Man From Uncle DVDs from DVDDonkey and they have collected the money without sending me the DVDs. Now I realize that this is a scam of immense proportion. I will have to change my credit card account so they don't steal more in some phase 2 ripoff.

Everyone needs to know what to do so the Federal Trade Commission can step in and do something to this company for ripping everyone off. Everyone needs to go to www.ftc.gov and register your complaint about dvddonkey or any other names they are running under. The more complaint to better a pattern will form and they will start the process. Below is the letter I received from the Federal Trade Commission with my case number - YOU NEED ONE TOO!
Dear TAMMY COX:

Thank you for recent correspondence. The Federal Trade Commission acts in the public interest to stop business practices that violate the laws it enforces. Letters from consumers and businesses are very important to the work of the Commission. They are often the first indication of a problem in the marketplace and may provide the initial evidence to begin an investigation. The Commission does not resolve individual complaints. The Commission can, however, act when it sees a pattern of possible violations developing.

The information you have provided will be recorded in our complaint retention system. This computerized system enables us to identify questionable business practices that are generating numerous complaints and may be in violation of the law.

Thank you for providing information that may be used to develop or support Commission enforcement initiatives.

So - EVERYONE NEEDS TO REGISTER YOUR COMPLAINT TODAY!

To further inform everyone about DVDDonkey. Every other copies of my dvd series was freezing. I am not satisfy and will try to get my money back. I try calling their bogus hotline and off course no answer. They did never email me about my last complaint. I just sent them another email requesting for a return merchandise authorization. I hope to recover some money back. I have also filed a dispute with my bank that is pending. I paid $116.72 for the 30 series of Ally McBeal so I do hope to recover some money back. And thanks Tammy Cox for the FTC sites, I will definitely register my complaint.

dvddonkey.com, dvdavenue.tv, and tvaddicts.tv are all the same site so avoid buying from any of them. I was trying to look for an old tv series on DVD and those were the only sites I found it on. Each website looks a little different but all the content is verbatim. I called the number they provided and i received a message saying "unfortunately no one is available to take your call" during business hours after being put on hold because "all the operators were busy." I was doing my research and found that the DVD's aren't even released. So beware peeps.

I ordered the Perry Mason DVD Collector's Edition from DVDDONKEY.COM around November 19, 2007. My credit card was charged $194 instead of the $185 it was supposed to be charged. I have yet to receive the DVD's. It has been almost a month and I am NOT HAPPY. I want a refund but can't get anyone to answer the phone or return my numerous e-mails. I am contacting my bank about my credit card.

I wish we'd have come here first. We ordered all of the Crossing Jordan dvds. Ten days ago- the php reply stated they'd contact us by email. Not a word... we've called twice - the first told us that their server was down and second time, the dvds are on back order. Checking with Visa, they padded the bill by $5.00 - the money was taken out of our account immediately. I'm printing out the dispute pdf form to send to Visa as I type this.

I ordered the complete series of boy meets world several weeks ago off of DVDdonkey (I should have known it was a scam- only the first 3 seasons have technically been released onto DVD), and i was worried that i hade been scammed, but I did eventually receive the dvds several weeks late, after countless attemps to get in contact with them. however, the dvds are of very low quality, and you can see the disney channel logo in the bottom corner. they're often fuzzy or blurry, and the dvds themselves are nothing more than regular discs with "boy meets world" printed on the front. the episodes don't even run to the end! dvd donkey is a major scam, and i wish i would have known this before i wasted my money.

DON'T USE THIS SITE.

I had purchased a series from this company on Nov. 27,2007 and waited for my tracking number in a email. After a few days i didn't receive it I tried to contact them with the number 18777tvshow that was listed on my printed receipt. I got an answering machine for a company named DVD Avenue. Left a message anyway and gave it a few more days. I emailed them and still no response. I tried calling again today and no one answered again so I looked up the Avenue site and called them. The lady then proceeded to tell me that she gets all kinds of calls for Donkey and they are no way affiliated with them. So I called my credit card company threw Bank of America to report fraud. I had to cut up my card and they are issuing me a new one and reimbursing me the money as long as I fill out the paper work and send it back in to them when I receive my card. So if you can I would do the same thing. I hope this helps anyone out and I wish I new how to get this information out to the rest of the world so they don't make the same mistake I did. Especially at this time of year! Merry Christmas.

My husband purchased a TV series with 5 dvds from this company on his credit card and received no verification via email as promised. Several days later he attempted to call them at the number on the website. He could only leave a message and no one returned the calls. He tried emailing also but an icon popped up and he couldn't type on the email form on the site. I emailed later and received no answer. The purchase appeared on our credit card bill. Two days later a package arrived from Canada from a company called dvdavenue.tv. In it was the first of the dvds but only the one along with a guarantee card with a phone number. We called... again no answer and left messages on two different days. We emailed... they have a "guarantee" of answering your email in 24 to 48 hours, but this has not happened. I disputed the charge and our credit card removed 4/5s of it since we did receive one dvd. We are going to look at it and see if it is truly "new" and not just copied off a tv station. Beware of these people!

I placed a Christmas order for a Dvd series from DvdDonkey on 12/8/07 and my acct was charged $150.00 the next day, but I have yet to receive any e-mail confirmation. I have contacted them multiple times by phone (their number: [protected]) finally getting a foreign person who was extremely rude who finally gave me an order i.d. and proceeded to tell me the order has not been shipped and its 12/18/07, but they would be sending me an e-mail confirmation with a tracking number once the order is processed. I am completely stressed out and don't know what to do. I do not recommend that anyone use this website, as it seems to be some type of scam, and is obviously effecting many people around the world. AVOID THEM, THEY ARE NO GOOD!

I ordered a set of DVD's from this place for christmas. I was told that I would receive both a confirmation email and a shipment confirmation email, both of which I have not received. They charged my debit card and I called the number 3 times and emailed them about 4 times. Currently, I am trying to get the charge removed from my card because I have not received the product or a response. I can't believe that google would support a fake site. We really need to try to get this site removed from the internet.

This website is a complete con. I placed my order during the middle of November and the swines took the money from my account straight away... I cannot get in touch with them as they don't reply or email back. I spoke with 'Marie' who told me they had been having problems with their emails and the item was out of stock which is why it hasn't been sent.

I am a bit worried that these people have all my personal details as 'Marie' asked for my postcode and email address when she was 'checking my order status'.

So annoyed. I have contacted my credit card company to put the item in dispute - let's just hope they refund my money (£131).

Just so you all know this company which went under several names was brought down in a big sting operation in Montreal yesterday. It may be my favorite Christmas gift.

P.S. to my last post I hope every body used a credit card and not a debit or check because you can contest a fraudulent charge on your credit card and they should take it off your account the only stipulation being you need to report it within 30 day even if its been over 30 day if I were you I would still apply because I have heard that it is 30 days from when you find out about it being fraudulent and like one of the scammed posters stated you need to have your credit card reissued with a new number because those crooks have all your valuable information at there grimmy little finger. If you used a debit or checking account you probably are out the money but you need to close all your accounts with that bank because I heard that the bank will debit your savings or over draft account even if you didn't athorize the new fraudulent transaction or charges that might come through and you won't get your money back from the bank sorry but you need to be proactive now good luck wish you the best.

I had the feeling it was as you are telling and started to search and you are so right ! dvddonkey is a Scam! First suspicion was because they want you to tell them the number that is behind the credit card. And that's not right. They would be able to use your credit card whenever they wanted to.

Please, tell me if you do not understand me because English is not my language. Thank you!
