e-Careers Course that was cancelled

I have a ccj from e-careers, this goes way back to July 2017, I left work one morning inquired about a course I wanted to take then, spoke to a gentleman who went through the whole course map. Then I asked so you said I could access this on weekends since that’s the only time I am off and I was being told there were no tutors for the weekend immediately I told the gentleman from e careers I could not take the course and I needed it cancelled I will come back when the timing is more conducive. I hanged the phone next thing I realized I was being charged for a course I could not take. I called back and spoke to a lady and told them I have cancelled this course and I have asked to have it done at a time when it was conducive. I was sent to omni capitals then to deko both Td me to contact careers which I did several times. I stopped. I realized I was not getting any where. I called and I was told the code was activated and it was my choice that I did not take it. How can I activate a code when I can’t take the course? I was on the phone with the gentleman who told me to make sure I had received the message for the course he walked me through then told me there were no tutors on the weekend. I had 14 days to cancel and I cancelled the same day now I am being offered to take the same course which I did not want to take in the first place since my career path has changed and I don’t even have the money to do that now with this credit crunch. I will not be forced into taking a loan I do not want, I would appreciate it if this is taken off my credit report immediately I have sent a letter to omni capital and they are waiting for e careers to show proof of course taken. I do not wish to take the course and I am tired of this harassment by e careers which is causing me a lot of health problems. I will like this resolved once and for all quickly and I do not want to take any course with your company as my career path has changed and I am in healthcare now. Thank you

Desired outcome: Return monies back to Omni Capital

e-Careers aat level 2

I'm afraid I am totally dissatisfied and unhappy with the company and the treatment they gave so far.
Very unsatisfied with what the course provides in terms of collateral and general support during the course. How is somebody able to understand the course and content with the data it's provided (very poor and bad design), it is unsubstantial and I'm not comfortable with the support offered.
The exercises have answers but no explanations at all. When you ask the tutor, first it takes at least 2 days for an answer and when you have, the answer is completely useless, they ask you to look for the answer in the material. If I am asking, it's because first I need an explanation, second I haven't found the answer in the material.
I applied for the course on 15th May and before I finished the first module (20 days later) I realised it would be a waste of time and a gain of stress and headache.

The customer service is horrible.
I didn't ask for any refund (I had already paid 2 instalments and was going to pay the third), I just wanted to cancel the course and stopped paying for the following months (7 more months).
I had no help at all, the person who answered me repeated the same email over and over again saying that as I had started and redeemed the voucher I could not cancel or have any refund or stop paying for the course. Again, I didn't ask for the refund, I just don't think I should continue doing a course that is not helping me in anyway.
I don't remember seeing any warning or pop up that by proceeding I would deny my rights to cancel the course. My understanding was that my initial payment would be non refundable but I would have 30 days to cancel, should I be unsatisfied with the course and content. I was VERY unsatisfied. On speaking and seeking the advice of friends and colleagues upon navigating the course material, support and guidance. I decided to cancel, and informed them straight away. This was within the 30 day cancellation period.

I was not sent any physical material, and I didn't expect to be refunded my initial payment. I did expect to be able to cancel the course and the direct debit though. IF by redeeming the voucher, this voids the right to cancel, then your website should clearly alert the user to the fact that by clicking ‘proceed' they are relinquishing their right to cancel and will be liable to pay the full balance of the course.

I just don't understand how can a person find out that the course is unhelpful without seeing it, without redeeming the voucher you can't have any access to the course.

I've never accessed the course again since then, and I am still paying for a course that I am not using (4 instalments already). Because I am obliged to pay for it. It's just unbelievable!

e-Careers Didn't state the expiry date of exam code

I've bought a groupon voucher for their MOS excel course package which comes together with an exam. On the voucher it mentioned that the package will expire ONE year after activation. However, before I wanted to use the exam code just a week before it "expired", it had expired months ago.

I asked the online customer service and realized that the expiry date of the exam code is 10 MONTHS after its issued date. I mean, WHAT IS THE POINT OF HAVING THE EXAM CODE EXPIRE FASTER THAN THE COURSE VOUCHER?! It makes no sense. There don't even show you when the code is expiring, had I known beforehand, I'd just s*ck it up and register before the 10th month. How on earth would I know that THERE WERE TWO EXPIRY DATES TO ONE PACKAGE.

E-careers just S*cks. Not to mention the trouble I went through just to redeem the package. The package is overpriced and not worth the trouble. If you have the money, go look for better deals. Just not E-careers.

It sounds like the voucher must be activated within 10 months of purchase and then the package is good for 1 year from that point.

I have purchased a few things from groupon and I have advertised a few times with them as well. When I advertise with them I make it clear that the Groupon is only good for a limited time. BUT it never fails because I always get someone like you that makes it more complicated then it has to be. You just have to read all the rules so you know what you are doing.

Sounds to me like you did NOT know what you were purchasing.

e-Careers online course

I paid £350 to do a Sage bookkeeping course, but a month or so after starting I needed to leave the course and get my money back due to financial and illness reasons (I knew I missed the cut-off point marginally) so when I said I was out of work, moving home due to bad health and disability they showed no remorse in keeping my money and not helping a disabled person hitting hard times. Whilst moving house I lost all use of internet and couldn't afford to get internet and somehow got a message to them that I was without therefore could NOT study online with them, again they couldn't care less and brushed me off. I tried outside help like doctors and professional people to inform E-Careers that I was disabled, poor and suffering from depression. But still E-Careers were having none of it and would not allow me to leave and have a refund. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL MEANS, THEY ARE VILE, RUDE, IGNORANT AND SELFISH...I HOPE THEY GO INTO ADMINISTRATION

e-Careers Customer service

Hi, Just like many others who have complaints against e-careers I also found myself in a mess when I could not redeem my groupon voucher. On contacting the customer service executives I was not much satisfied by their absurd replies. When I asked them to connect me with the manager, the lady on phone was quite reluctant. After I threatened to sue her, she finally asked the manager to talk to me. After I narrated everything to him, surprisingly his response was soothing. He took my voucher number and activated it. After a couple of days I had my course running.

I guess one just needs to reach out to the right person to get the things sorted out. Through this complaint board I would like to drag the attention of the professionals of e-careers and urge them to take actions for the complaints registered here.

Cheers...!

just trying to get the refund, they are taking ages to do that.First impression is very bad Sales Rep Mr Manjeet Nahar was the person sold me.
