Early Moments horrible service / buyer beware

Early moments is full of bs. I registerd with them in march 2010 for my 3 year old and my co - workers unborn baby. From march 2010 to sept 2010 i was charged for books 4 different times and i never received them. The service sucks.

Early Moments is a scam and false advertises. The add claims there are no hidden fees and no further commitment, which is misleading.

After ordering "Three books for $5.95, " on March 2, 2011, a confirmation email immediately followed the submission and stated, "the items will be shipped in 7-10 days and arrive within 3 weeks, " March 4th, the payment was processed. March 16th an email was received stating that the order had been shipped which was over 10 days from the original email and the payment being processed. Now, by April 20, 2011, the three books still have not been received. Through email correspondence on April 5th dissatisfaction in the amount of time that passed was expressed. The response from, ashirley@earlymoments.com, was to wait 3-4 more weeks!

To my surprise, on April 15, 2011, there was a debit to my account for $18.96. An email was sent inquiring about the charge, to which a response has yet to be received. After a research effort around the Early Moments website, a customer service number was located [protected]) I was able to get through the automated answering service to get a representative, who stated the charge was for the book club that I enrolled in when making the initial purchase. The representative implied that I had not read the fine print, when in fact I had. The agreement states that notification will be sent on the intent to send the next set of books and that there would be 10 days to agree or deny. A notification was not sent. In the end, the refund for the purchase and the $18 charge was provided, but its not worth the headache.

By pass this “deal” it is not what it seems.

Early Moments they do not understand the word cancel...

When my baby girl was born in March, I did enroll in Early Moments and stayed in enrolled till the beginning of August, I called customer service and told them to cancel but apparently they did not, because I just received two more books and was charged on my cc again and once again I called them and they said I cancelled on the 20th of Aug. and that is the day they took out of my account.All I want to say new Parents please do not enroll in this program...You will be in it for life...lol. You are better off going to the book store.

Early Moments fraud / scam

I found a charge from Early Moments to my credit card. I have never ordered any products from this company. My guess is that Early Moments is taking orders from stolen credit cards. When I called their customer service line and requested the e-mail address of the order billed to me, they said that they could not give it to me; that the only way they could search for my order information was if I gave them my email address. Well, that makes no sense to me, because they should have been able to search for my order based on my name or shipping address, as every other website that I do business with is able to do.

So that leads me to believe that Early Moments is somehow complicit in a scam to generate orders for their company. I received their shipment, did not open it, and returned it to the post office marked "REFUSED". Then I filled out a fraud report at my bank (took about 20 minutes) and the charge against my card will be reversed. I have also requested a new card number, as my card number is being passed around to several different companies that apparently are doing the same thing.

how do I stop the shipping. because I got the first three books. and now they are sending me more books how do I stop it ?

I've been experiencing the same problem as the rest of you and while I was able to cancel my account, before I was able to do that they had sent out more books. Now I was told if I sent them back I would receive a refund with in 24-48 after they were received. And while I sent them in on January 13th, they are telling me they haven't received them, thank God I decided to use UPS so I could confirm when they were delivered to the address I was given which was indeed confirmed as 6 days later. Not to mention I've been keeping track of all my conversations with these people and considering it's been 3 days and have since then have not refunded me. All I can say is that these people SCREWED WITH THE WRONG PERSON!

looks like early moments is frad company. My wife purchased books for $5:95. I see now that they are charging for some other orders, which I didn't place. Very misusing cridit/debit cards.

Early Moments fraud

I had an account with them one year ago. Today i look at my credit card statement and see a charge from them. I cancelled service in october 2008. They had no right to use my credit card.

Early Moments is recieving monies from stolen credit card numbers. When you call the customer service they give you the runaround and say they have no way of knowing whose account the money is going into. This smells fishy and they need to be more accountable to safeguard peoples money.

Bad business all around.

Early Moments horrible

I recently had a baby boy. After I had him, I started receiving all kinds of offers for different baby items, clubs, etc. One was an offer from Early Moments book club to receive a free gift (pay only shipping of $4.99+tax). I paid the $4.99+tax and a couple weeks later received the gift in the mail. I knew that most of these things have a catch and you have to cancel or they'll continue to bill you. I received my gift on a Friday and the following Wednesday Early Moments helped themselves to another $20.11 from my checking account for the next set of books. I didn't even have 3 full business days to call and cancel. Now, to top it all off... When they took this $20.11, it overdrew my checking account! Now I have over $50 in overdraft fees because of this. I've called and spoken with 3 different people and finally spoke with a supervisor who told me that the money would be refunded in 3-5 days if I sent them a copy of my bank statement. Well, now it's been 2 weeks and I still have yet to see my money or hear from anyone. I finally received the "$70" books and just "returned them to sender". My next step will be the BBB and Attorney General. $50 isn't much to some people but it is a lot to me and especially when it was totally wrong what they did! They sell junk and I will tell everyone I know not to fall for their scam!

Early Moments unable to contact

This company has been sending poor quality books to the wrong address for over 1 year. The website they list www. Homeclubs. Scholastic.com has no link to this firm. All i want to do is cancel my account. Where are these people!

What a scam! I demanded free cancellation for being mislead. They tried to charge me thirty to cancel for their misguidance. Then sent an email saying they did cancel it.to turn around and all new how I'm doing being a member... Delivery status failed! When i tried to tell them it should have already been cancelled.so now I'm being charged for something and have no idea how to stop it

The way they set up the membership should be illegal. They lure you in with "Free" books for your infant and then charge you $19.99 if you don't cancel within 4 weeks. As a new mom with barely any sleep, how can you notice this charge on your credit card? And they keep doing it! I finally found a "pause membership" button but there is no information on how to cancel a subscription, how to remove your credit card info, etc. Total scam. These people should be arrested for preying on new moms.

People same thing happened to me. This company has partnership with scam scheme. People think they will receive prize if they purchased good from featuring company usually for very low prices. I picked this company to purchased five books for total of 5 bucks. However, they keep sending me books every month. I didn't pay attention because I wasn't using my credit card at that time. My mom uses it. When she complained to me and I checked the credit statement. I (or her) was billed more than 20$ every month since March. Imagine how much money they been making from us. I called then and they just simply said my account been cancelled. I never had a memebership with them. In fact I never create an account with them. This is clearly fraud. They refused to refund all the money they making of me and my mom. They tricked and lied to people. How can I sue this company?

I signed up with Early moments for the attractive package offer - unknowing that I am signing up for sequence of shipments. I have not yet received my first package & I am charged again for second shipment without any intimation or any email to allow me to order / cancel the shipment. The site does not have any way to cancel the shipment within 24 hours. On the 'contact us' phone no, asking to enter 9+3 digit invoice number - which I am not able to find on my order details on their web-site. It does not show where the payment info is stored, they have simply stored the payment info used for first shipment & now charging again & again without allowing customer to authorize it. This is a complete scam & if they will not cancel my membership & stop further payments to my account I will also report them to BBB.

This is a clombia house type fraud! They continued to bill my account without authorization and send books unsolicited. It was extremely difficult to stop them, Beware!

The Early Moments, is the WORSE organization, that I 've ever got in, they're getting money from people for just nothing, I'd recommend anyone to not order anything from this site !

I have ordered too since december 2012 from this company and nothing received till now, they have charged me $18 more on my credit card for another package and I emailed their customer service, they answered that it is done automatically and will be sending a package of books every month! Unless I asked to unsubscribe. I unsubscribed, still awaiting the two packages, they don't answer their e-mail!
There must be a way to report them to any authorized authorities to shut them down and return us our money or books!

I was sent a special offer, via email through Everyday Family's website, for baby Einstein set of books for 5.95. After taking 6 weeks to finally receive my special offer I was charged another $19.95. Still not sure what I'm being charged for but this unexpected charge acquired me some overdraft fees! I wish I had read this complaints board before I gave these people my credit card info!

Two books were sent to my son, thin Dr. Seuss books I might have found at the dollar store, along with a bill for over$25. I emailed them to tell them if they wanted their unsolicited shipment back, to send me prepaid postage. Weeks later, they did, so I sent the books back within a day of recieving the postage. Receiving bill now addressed to me, instead...
