It took me a while to write and post this because 1.) I hate writing reviews, good or bad, and 2.) life has been incredibly busy and I haven’t wanted to spend the energy on this. I don’t know what I hope to accomplish in this as I have resigned myself to the idea that I will never receive my pictures. I guess I am hoping to save someone else from losing photos of one of the most important days of their life. Many people will only ever hire a professional photographer for their wedding day which I believe Eivan’s knows and takes advantage of.
Let me start at the beginning. I hired Eivan’s
to photograph my October 15, 2022 wedding. I found them on The Knot. They were reasonably priced and the reviews I read were good. I wished I’d dug a little deeper but I could never have imagined what an awful experience I was going to have. I work in the wedding industry and have seen and worked with many vendors. The experience I had with them is the most awful I’ve seen or been through with any company. I booked them and began making payments in December 2021. I made my payments on time monthly and I finished paying off my package in September 2022, 30 days before my event. At the time of booking, I was asked to fill out a form with my top choices based on portfolios posted on their website. I did so. I was not assigned a photographer until about a week before the wedding and did not speak to her until the Monday before my Saturday wedding. She was not among my top choices. She was aware of my contract which stated I had 10 hours with her but added her own hour to the beginning of the day without my permission. I believe she did this because she was extremely slow at taking pictures. I can’t remember what time she arrived to the hotel but my bridesmaids said she took forever with the detail pictures. She also took a very long time at cocktail hour which threw off my timeline. She was rude to everyone but me and almost gave my florist a heart attack when she walked over, grabbed my bouquet and started shaking it. At the end of the night, I was asked to sign a form which she says was to confirm that she had taken all the pictures I wanted. Being my wedding night, I was tired, a little intoxicated and I signed the form without really looking at it. Apparently, included on that form, were her hours with the added hour. Shortly after the wedding, I received an invoice for the additional hour which I did not agree to. I had to schedule an appointment with a manager which was also the day that the payment was due. She basically told me that the photographer thought I was great and I signed a form for the additional hour. I went ahead and paid it because I didn’t want that to delay my pictures. Pictures I will never get anyways. Per my contract, I was supposed to receive my edited, downloadable pictures within 30 days of my event date. I received a gallery of my pictures that were not printable and had their insignia on them. I was told in an email that the gallery would expire in 90 days and then I would receive my pictures. I did receive an email that the gallery was setting to expire and my pictures were being prepared to be sent on 2/3/23. I did not read down further where it stated I would need to sign a form so that my pictures would not be archived but I never imagined that I would have only 14 days to sign a form and my pictures would be archived. I have never heard of a company archiving pictures so quickly. When I emailed Eivan’s on 2/17/23 to ask about the status of my pictures being sent, I was told that I didn’t sign the archival form and that I would need to pay $925 to “un-archive” them. I went back to the email from 2/3/23 and realized that I missed the form which was agreeing to the archival fee of $760. When I responded to the email concerning the “un-archival” fee, they said that they could see that I opened the email but not the form. For months, I received weekly emails from Evian’s advertising their specials but I didn’t receive one follow up reminder concerning the form which is clearly intentional as they know people will pay anything to get their pictures. I asked them if there was any way the fee could be reduced as I did not have $925. They discounted it to $555 which I agreed to pay just because I wanted my pictures. I was told they would be sending me an authorization form but what I received was a settlement agreement that I would not sue them or post negative reviews. At this point, I reached out to a civil attorney who looked over my contract and the settlement agreement. She thought it was odd that their settlement agreement was copyrighted which implies they have been sued several times. I sent one more demand for my pictures via email and let them know I was not willing to sign a settlement agreement, especially since I hadn’t even received my pictures. I question whether or not I would even receive the pictures I paid for after signing a settlement agreement and paying $555. I am saddened at the loss of those pictures that I would have cherished as I get older and my memory fades but I cannot in good conscience sign the settlement agreement that I sent . I just hope by posting this that I save some other couple the pain of what I went through. Through my work in the wedding industry, I have since spoken to several photographers who do incredible work. They have told me that the Knot pushes vendors up to the top of the list who pay their high fees, not necessarily the best vendors. Vendors can also delete negative reviews so if you are solely looking on the Knot for vendors, please take that into consideration
Desired outcome: Full access to edited photos or full refund
Agreement has been reached to remove unarchival fee and to release pictures.
Unprofessional service received
The photographer, Muhammad, we were given was disrespectful and unprofessional. He didn't respond to two emails we sent prior to the wedding and I had to be the one to call him myself. He didn't once reference the shot list that we provided to him and took unflattering angles (looking down at the camera) and didn't let us talk. The service was so unprofessional we didn't do sunset pictures because I was on the verge of crying from working with him earlier in the day. I regret hiring him. He wasted at least 15 minutes trying to remember peoples names instead of just pointing to people. I had emphasized efficiency with him prior to the wedding and that clearly was not utilized. The videographer was good. Upon reaching out to their customer service on the unprofessional service we received from the photographer we were given a resolution form offering a 8x10 (smaller than a standard piece of printer paper) canvas priced at $500+ of one picture. By offering that, it is clear they realized they were in the wrong. If you get to that step, be cautious because if you accept their offer, you are not allowed to post anything about your service. I didn't appreciate being threatened with legal action upon sharing my experience with the company so I declined their resolution and will instead be sharing on every platform I can find of our experience. Be cautious
Desired outcome: Not to be threatened with legal action. At this point, financial compensation would be appreciated but I doubt that will happen so I'd rather people know about my experience.
Fraud!
After getting the run around regarding a check that they said "wasn't clear" (they use a check photo to process payment), A CSR reaches out and rectifies the situation... Only for me to go to my back account, and see that they deposited the check that wasn't "clear", as well as another photo of another check I sent that was "clear". My total balance was $1,749.99. imagine my disgust when I saw both checks for $1,749.99 deposited. No one at the company communicates with anyone, and it's disgusting! No amount of rectification is equal to the stress this company put me through. Even if they reimburse me, that takes business days to get back, inconvenience, and puts me in the negative for other bills I have due from the account. I'm disgusted with myself because I do my best to review and get the best opinions. Guess the stress of a wedding got the best of me. Doubt if I get my money back because their contract is pretty iron clad. I'm asking Facebook to remove their ads.
Desired outcome: I just want a total refund. But of course they won't because they aren't a standup company
All issues resolved satisfactorily."
There was an option given that if we signed a form and took down the complaint, they wouldnt charge the cancellation fee. Legal@eivans.com

Customer service
Please, I beg of you to please do not us this company for your wedding, engagement, and/or any special events! Run the other way please. They are running a scam!
I don't even know where to begin, to be honest. First, the pricing. Be prepared to pay more than what you see, I am talking thousands. To expand, I had to pay extra just to get my photos and videos downloadable. Next, they have a strict contract in which you have to sign before you can get your photos/videos released to you. Within the contract, it mentions that you must not post any negative things about the company. Then, what is really aggravating me is that their customer service is [censored]. It is almost going to be a year since I got married and I still haven't received my photo album (in which I paid for since it was included in the price). The amount of times I have called and they say "they are unavailable"; how are you not available every hour during your normal operations? (yes, I did call that many times). Also, they would leave me on hold and sike me out as if someone picked up the phone, and it goes straight to their voicemail box. Like wtf? I purposely believe that they either blocked my number and/or avoiding me. I have literally called every other day. What is really pissing me off is that they are claim that I never submitted my photos for the album, although I emailed them back in july n received a confirmation from them.
In sum, I either want a refund or my photo album.
Desired outcome: Refund AND/OR Photo Album
They threaten me w/ additional $$$ if i didn't remove my negatives reviews from various sites.

Wedding Video/Photos 10/22/22
I just want to start by saying if you’re thinking about using Eivans. Videos were sent to me that looked unedited and the quality was absolutely horrible. I was charged $700 for wanting drone coverage as offered and the videographer did not use it and listed it to them and they have not said a word. It’s always so hard to get anyone to return a call or email either! I feel as if all my money and time was wasted and more importantly I do not have the proper footage from one of the most important days of my life with people I really wanted to capture memories with because they might not be around for the holidays.
Desired outcome: Refund !
Conversed with Kim and amicably came up with a solution that I feel is fair upon both parties.
Every service related to this company
Bad photos, hidden costs, low value for the money, and overall terrible experience. More details below.
- Bad Photos: The wedding photos were horrible (in terms of timing, lighting, and colors). The photographer was an amateur and with a bad attitude.
- Hidden Fees: This company hid important information during the process to make me pay more at a later stage. I paid $2,300 upfront for a full service. However, when the time came to get my wedding material they asked me to pay an extra $3,200 to get the unedited files. It even took them 10 months to send me the edited files.
- During the Contracting Process: The company tricked me by making me accept the quotation, pay the full fees, and accept the terms & conditions. Then they sent me a contract which does not match with the quotation in terms of the included services.
- After the Wedding: I submitted a request to get the unedited files. The request was refused at first, claiming there is an investigation in process. After that, they asked me to remove any bad review before we could talk. At the end they asked me to pay an unaffordable extra fee to get the unedited files. Eventually they permanently deleted our wedding memories. Apparently they only care about making customers pay more money in the form of "extra fees".
Summary: We consider the $2,300 (which we paid to this company as their fees) a wasted money because of the awful service and the fact they denied us from getting our wedding memories in full, forever, just for the sake of making extra profit.
Bottom line, I do not recommend this company to anyone. It is the worst company I have ever dealt with.
Wedding photography and videography
Horrible Experience. Be Aware of The ‘Hidden Fees’. Think twice before hiring this company for your wedding photos.
My wife and I believe that the wedding is a key moment in one’s life and that good photos and videos are crucial to capture this life event. We spent weeks looking for the right photographer until we came across this company from “The Knot” as an award-winning company for photography in 2020. They have great reviews on google and the photos used on the website looked spectacular. The price was surprisingly very reasonable, but don’t be fooled as they’ll hit you with plenty of hidden fees.
1. Rush Fee: The package online clearly states that you’ll get 6 hours of videography + 6 hours of photography for $2,000. When we first spoke with the Sales Representative, she didn’t mention anything about a ‘rush fee’. However, when she sent me the quote it had an extra $500 as a ‘rush fee’. Apparently if you book this company less than 60 days before the wedding date you’ll have to pay a rush fee and you have to pay the full amount upfront.
2. No Response After Payment: At the beginning the response time for any email I sent was few hours. However, after we paid the fees, they stopped responding to my emails so I started calling them instead. Customer Service is not always available to take your call and you’ll have to leave a voice message; they never call back!
3. Additional Fees for The Full Photos and Video: When I spoke to the Sales Representative I specifically asked if I will get the raw files (in addition to the edited photos) + the full and edited video. I was told that I will get everything. It took the company 6 weeks to send us the link for a photo preview (low resolution with watermarks) and about 14 weeks to send the edited video. Me and my wife noticed that there were lots of photos that were missing. Also, the video was only 34 minutes long. When I called the Customer Service asking about the raw photo files and the full video I was told that they are not included in my package and I need to pay an additional $2,400 to get them ($1,200 for the full video and $1,200 for all the photos including raw files). I told the Customer Service representative that this is not acceptable and that I was promised to get all the photos and the full video for which she answered that they have no package for that and that I have to pay to get them. I asked her to speak to her manager and she told me “there is no one available at the moment” and she sent me a link to set an appointment to talk to management; the earliest appointment available was a month later.
4. Very Long Waiting Times To Get The full resolution Photos and Edited video: As I mentioned above, it took them 6 weeks to send me the photo preview (low resolution with watermarks). You need to wait for another 90 days to get your full resolution photos without the watermark. If you want them earlier, you have to pay and extra $1,500. Furthermore, It took them 14 weeks to send the edited Video.
5. Poor Coordination: As we are out of state we were told by the sales representative that the photographer and videographer would suggest nice and famous outdoor photo locations before the wedding. I emailed both of them approximately a week before the wedding and the photographer didn’t respond to my emails until the morning of the wedding day. The Videographer responded the next day and he told us that it’s usually the photographer who suggests the photo locations. We ended up not having any photos outside the wedding venue.
6. Below Average Photos: The photographer was lazy and unskilled. He did not propose any creative poses/positions for our wed photos. Most of the photos don’t look any better than the photos that my friends took with their mobile phones.
7. Time Consuming Applications: They have lots of applications that you need to fill in which can be frustrating.
8.Poor Customer Service and Management; Customer Service don’t try to help. The best they tell you is “We are sorry, we’ll report this to management”. On the other hand; I waited for one month to speak to Management and I was told that we have one of two options: Either pay to get the full video and full pictures with their raw files (with a cost of $2,400), or to open an case which will take 180 days to investigate and we might not get anything.
In a nutshell, in order to get your wedding photos (with the raw files) within 90 days after the wedding and the full-length wedding video, it will cost you at least a total amount of $5,900 (this does not include the $300-500 rush fee).

Video and photos
This company has done a horrible job with communication throughout the process. My husband and I got married on Sept 4th and we received our 55mim video, 2min video and photos on September 25th and 28th but the quality was HORRIBLE. The sound quality was so uncomfortable to listen to and the transitions were so unprofessional. It looked like a 5yr old edited it. It was so choppy and embarrassing. How did someone think that was okay to send us?! Photos were not the best either. I’ve reached out multiple times to get out video re made and no one is contacting me back in a timely matter. They only give you 30days to fill out a revision form but how can I do that if the entire video is [censored]?! I’m livid about it as we spent thousands of dollars on our package. Do NOT use this company for your wedding. So disappointed! They will hold onto your photos with the water marks for months before you can use them. Who does that?! This is not okay as I expected more for my wedding photos and videos. It’s embarrassing to show anyone. That’s how bad it is.
Desired outcome: I need to speak to the video department and go in detail what they did wrong and I need them to Re edit my video with no charge. I need my photos released faster without having to pay extra.
The company is resolving my issues as I have spoken to Kim at corporate. She is taking care of getting my video re done and photoshopping 15 photos for me free of charge. Her contact info is kimberley@eivans.com and her # is 708–587-2519
Wedding Photography
Eivan's engages in highly unethical business practices. Make sure your package includes the copyright to your photos. If it does not, you will be unable to access digital copies of the photos or make prints. They will then charge you $2500 to buy the copyright and get access to your photos. My wife and I are now in the position of either having to pay $2500 (in addition to the thousands of dollars we already paid for the photography in the first place) or lose access to our wedding photos forever.
It is highly unusual to have to pay for the same product twice, so when my wife and I saw that "digital copyright" was one of the extras on some photo packages, we assumed this meant that the company would not be able to use the photos in promotions, etc. if we paid the relatively small (~few hundred dollars) extra amount for this feature. Since we did not care about this, we elected not to pay. At no time did anyone warn us we would be in a position to lose the ability to access or print our wedding photos forever without the copyright.
Now we realize that all of our wedding photos cannot be accessed digitally, and we are not even sure we can order prints from the company. We have been told we can purchase the copyright to all of the photos for $2500, which is more than double the price of the photography in the first place. I could understand if they wanted to charge us a little more than the original price for the copyright (increasing from a couple hundred dollars to say ~$500 or so), but instead they have chosen to take advantage of an honest mistake we made due to our ignorance of their industry in order to price gouge us for as much money as possible. When I spoke to them on the phone, they "generously" agreed to lower the price to $2000. No ethical business would treat people this way. My wife and I cannot afford $2000, and it is looking like our wedding photos will be lost forever.
Desired outcome: We want to have access to our wedding photos without being charged double the price!
I was reached out to by a customer service representative for the company named Sam S. As part of the ongoing resolution process, I am marking this complaint resolved.
Misleading and misrepresentation
In July 2022 we selected a photographer from links they sent us to review. We got a response that it was a good choice and she was open on the form.
Then they ask you to fill out forms about locations for photographer abs videographer.
We paid $2000.00 in full. Less than 30 day from wedding no contact. Attempt calls and email and no returns. Then 4 dats later get an email with a male assigned to our wedding. I specifically selected s female, as the photographer is capturing moments in the hotel room myself (bride) and bridesmaids. I also have young girl and underage girls getting ready. I have 2 female hair and make up artist hired and will be in the room doing our hair and make up.
This is against my religious beliefs to have a man in our room while we are getting ready and dressed before the wedding.
I never requested a male, nor would I have for my beliefs. They just assign a random person you never reviewed and don’t care that they didn’t follow through with the original one.
After many emails and calls, no response. Finally got through and they didn’t care and wouldn’t accommodate me with a female photographer.
Get this. 2 days after I emailed my complaint, I get an email and they assigned a secondary photographer who I never requested and it was ANOTHER male.
Please listen to us they don’t care about your wedding. They would not accommodate with a female. Just throw there scare tactics of threats with more and more charges.
We had to cancel because I can’t have a make in my hotel room and they don’t care. So in addition to paying $2000.00 up front, the only time they are responsive is when they send you an invoice for the full amount you already paid for service never performed and then slapped me with another $500.00 for filing fraud through my bank.
I have tons of records of my emails that they never responded.
This company is stealing money from honest people just looking to hire someone to capture their wedding day that is very sacred.
It’s very unethical business practice and they are out to empty your bank account!
They need to be investigated. This is our rights as consumers to speak up, snd stop this company. I will as well keep going and sharing and reporting this business as high as I can go! Shame on this business for taking advantage and scamming people!
Service
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I REPEAT DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! My wife and I bought a photo and video package with an extra photographer for 3,399. We paid in full 10 months in advance to the wedding day. We chose 3 photographers that we wanted out of the 10-20 that were “available” from a woman named Megan. As we were told they only show us people that would be available for our wedding date.
60 days before the wedding we submit our Pinterest boards and the styles of photo and video that we had wanted. This is why we picked these 3 specific photographers 10 months in advance in hopes to get at least one of them who have the style we preferred. 57 days before the wedding we sent an email trying to go over structures and styles that we want. We get an email saying they are still working on our Photographers and Videographer. You are supposed to be paired with your team 30 days prior to your wedding.
After sending multiple emails trying to meet with our team we still get the same response via email saying we are in the final stages and are still pairing you with your team. Now 26 days before the wedding day we still are not paired with any photographers or our videographer. This was the only vendor we had left that would not physically meet or answer any phone calls.
Now we are 19 days before our wedding and still waiting to get paired. We tried calling again multiple times no one ever picks up. Finally Our wedding coordinator had to get involved she called all day until she finally got someone who gave her no solution basically saying the same things still in the final stages of pairing.
18 days before our wedding after endless emails and calls still looking to set up the structure of our day with the photographers and videographers we finally are paired with 1 photographer out of 2 that we purchased and a videographer. The person that Eivan’s picked was not one of the 3 that we picked and we were not notified that 1 of the 3 we picked 10 months in advanced were now no longer available to shoot our wedding.
We chose the 3 we wanted because that was the style we were looking for to capture THE BIGGEST DAY OF OUR LIVES. Now we are given someone who shoots the TOTAL OPPOSITE STYLE that we wanted on the BIGGEST DAY OF OUR LIVES. They still at that point never found our second photographer we believe they had forgotten about us which is why the other photographers that we chose 10 months in advance were not available to shoot our wedding.
From the moment we paid them which was 10 months in advance all communication was lost it was such a trouble and produced so much anxiety, stress, heartache, and emotional damage. Then they finally “find” our second photographer days before our wedding which again was not any that we had wanted with a totally different shooting style that we had requested 10 months before the wedding. Not allowing us any time whatsoever to go over structure of day and styles of photos that we originally wanted.
Since Eivan’s was not following through with the contract and using unethical business practices we were obligated to get our photos and video done elsewhere. We did not get any of the people we picked we were just thrown whatever they had left at the time. Total lack of communication we called days on end never hearing back from anyone which were horrible business practices. How do you just throw whatever people you had left to shoot our wedding randomly? In hopes that we will be ok with trying to get them up to speed days before the wedding? What was your job just taking our money and finding people with cameras?
This company is basically a broker for photography which chooses whoever they feel and can get a hold of to shoot the BIGGEST DAY OF YOUR LIFE with total lack of communication. This is the biggest day of our lives and we put a lot of time and effort in picking the 3 people we wanted to shoot the BEST DAY OF OUR LIVES!
Eivan’s will not give a refund which we paid in full 3,399 10 months before the wedding and they are trying to charge us an additional 3,399 as a cancellation fee. How do we owe you full price for a cancellation fee when we have already paid in full for services that were not rendered? I REPEAT DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE A SCAM. Until they find a solution to our problems we will be posting this on all social media platforms! If you plan on using them feel free to message us as we can go into further details on what to expect on what is supposed to be THE GREATEST DAY OF YOUR LIFE!
Keep spreading the word so more people like us don’t become victims! I honestly don’t understand how this company is even in business after all the people they scam! The more we all speak up and fight for our consumer rights. They have caused so much stress and anxiety for us, they truly don’t care at all about their customers. Listen to him, we both got scammed. It’s awful taking advantage of people trying yo plan their very special day. They lie, they don’t respond, and throw their legal threat and fees. I’m in the same boat as then and spreading the works and reporting their company as high as I can go! Let’s all fight for ourselves and save future couples from this company destroying them too.
Please folks, read up on yelp and bbb, we are all having similar complaints. They don’t care about your wedding. They just want your money.
Scam, scam, scam, do not use!
Employment
No matter who you are, this family-owned/run wedding photography company will suck you dry for all the money they possibly can for as long as they can and ultimately leave you with you one of the worst decisions of your life- ever meeting them. Eivan’s is unprofessional, combative, rude, inconsiderate, greedy, paranoid, and dishonest. They will threaten you, ignore you, and insult you before they will make good on their obligation to you. Evil!
Desired outcome: Compensation
Evian’s Photo/video
Do NOT use this company. They do not care about the quality of work they put out. The photographer and videographer were amazing and would highly recommend them but this company is absolutely horrible. They do not tell you everything up front. They advertise that you will get $300 store credit when you sign up with them but they don’t tell you until your able to use the credit when you get your photo gallery that you must spend $330 before you can apply the $300 credit, so they are still making money off of you. You will also have to pay all the shipping and handling fees. They also will NOT give you all of your photos because we noticed some pictures were missing that we absolutely know we took (missing some groomsmen and bridesmaid pictures). When we called them to confront them, he goes well you can buy at an additional cost all the raw photos. And when we asked why they didn’t include all the photos, he acted like they should all be there and then he says they pick and choose the photos that they put in our gallery (which are obviously the only ones we can choose for our album). So if pictures don’t seem important to them in their opinion they will take them out of your gallery. Who is to say what is important and what is not important from our own wedding except for us? Which then takes us right into our wedding video. It took them only a couple weeks for us to receive our video which was great except for the fact that it was absolutely horrendous. Just like the photos they took out things that they thought were not important. They cut out half of our bridal party coming into the reception, they cut out OUR FIRST DANCE as a married couple and footage was taken behind all of our guests (can barely see us) for OUR VOWS during the ceremony. They also cut out the signing of the Ketubah (Jewish marriage document) which is extremely important to me and my religion and they completely disregarded that and cut it from the video. That is PREJUDICE AND DISCRIMINATION! Like the company says they choose what photos are in the gallery and what is put in our video. Our photographer and videographer were amazing and we know they captured everything we wanted them to so for Eivan to exclude important moments from our wedding is unacceptable. Our videographer had two video cameras set up and they chose to put only the footage of the one video camera in our video so we can see our actual videographer videoing our wedding from the other camera. This is poorly edited. They tell you that you will get one free edit for your wedding video and then after that you have to pay for it to be edited. However…make sure you read everything you sign because they make you sign a REQUIRED form in order for your video to be edited otherwise they won’t do it and this forms states it is up to the video production team if our edits exceeds their free edit terms then you will be charged an additional fee. So really it’s not a free edit. This is completely absurd and they are complete liars that are just trying to steal your money.
Desired outcome: We would appreciate a nicely put together album since it was in our contract without paying shipping/handling fees and a refund for the video and pictures that were excluded from our gallery.
Wedding photography
I would not even recommend this company to my enemy. My photographer was amazing. He was contracted through this scam of a company. Let me tell you how this works. You will pay $1200 for a photo package that is released to you 30 days after the wedding. Then you have to purchase your photos you already paid for. $899 for 50 photos. They use emotional manipulation to profit off of families. I chose this company for an affordable option come to find out they will charge for your photos you already paid for in the end. It is an awful business model. Now they release the photos to you 4 months after the wedding. If you want it sooner that will be an additional $1500 on top of the $1200 already spent. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. Seek photographers with a genuine company who delivers through good customer service. On top of this if you want to speak to management, it is a 3 week wait time to which you need to agree to their contract that is binding you into agreement with the prices and policy said above. Again do not hire this company.
Desired outcome: Access to my photos I already paid for without charging me more money.
They have released my photos to me pending my removal of all comments on forums.
Scam
The worst company to ever hire for your wedding! I had my wedding almost a year ago still have yet to receive photos or video I paid for. They breached their contract by not sending me video or photo to approve within the contract date they estimated. They are now holding my video “hostage” until I sign a contract that they are to “waive late fees” that I acquired that they in fact were the ones who didn’t provide my photo and video on time.
Desired outcome: I want my photos and video I PAID for
“Agreement”
Eivans Video
Video not shot properly and they are asking $390 to let us download or make any changes. They have a set expiry date on form filling post which they archive your video. They charge for unarchiving.
The email went to spam folder and thus deadline was missed.
It was in Virginia on 22 me Jan
Desired outcome: They are asking to pay 50% of 780 which is 390 for downloading or making edits to video. I want edits in my video or at least if they have right angles and everything.
Videography
BEWARE! Our experience with Eivan’s was/is a nightmare. To start, we didn’t even know our videographer until ONE MONTH before our wedding, and not once did he reach out to us to introduce himself or anything. We didn’t speak until a stranger came up to me at the wedding saying he was the videographer. Whatever, it wasn’t the end of the world. During the event, the only complaint I had was that he was nowhere to be found during the bridal party pictures, which is kind of important.
Fast forward three months after the wedding, which I was prepared for the video to take a while. The video looks like my 8 YEAR OLD NIECE RECORDED IT. No stabilizer was used - VERY shaky, the lighting was horrendous (when the lighting in the hall was beautiful), there was blank spaces in the video where the audio was there, but no image DURING OUR CEREMONY AND DANCES. I revised and hoped for the best knowing that there is no way to fix the quality of this video. I’m devastated.
Fast forward AGAIN. FIVE MONTHS after the wedding and we are sprung with a bill for $261 for a travel fee. FIVE MONTHS. I understand it’s in the contract, but to be so unprofessional and inconsiderate of people’s financial situations to spring a bill on them so far from the date of service is RIDICULOUS. Not only this horrendous point, but the invoice is due within 7 days or it goes to collections, when their contract states 15 days.
ALL IN ALL, I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO CAPTURE YOUR SPECIAL DAY BECAUSE MINE WAS RUINED. Thankfully I chose elsewhere to capture my pictures, and I will cherish those forever. Choose wisely folks.
False Advertisement/ Terrible quality/ Scam
I regret choosing Eivan's.
My pictures are horrid. There is not 1 picture that looks professional or wows me. They ALL look like cellphone pictures. The focus is missed on most if not all. The composition is... well it's not, the rule of 3rd is not even considered in any shot. The tones, white balance, saturation, contrast, highlights are all over the place, no consistency. There is an excessive amount of grain in more than half. There is not a single crisp picture. It's like a 4 year old was handed a dollar store camera to play with.
I'm completely disappointed and my wedding day is gone with no proof of how beautiful it actually was.
Desired outcome: FULL REFUND
Good luck..my wedding was October 2021 and were crap pics too... they still won't even give th to me without signing an nda... nope. It seems like there should be a class action lawsuit on this scam
video
save your money and go elsewhere you don't want to be on this end of the string with this company. videographers were late, unprofessional, didn't respond to our emails months prior and 2 days before the wedding emailed me and asked for an itinerary not months before when i tried again and again to reach out to them. Ttrying to get my video is a nightmare. if seems like they give you the run around saying "oh you didn't recieve it yet?" and "i'll reach out to our video department" then poof they never call or email back. also we bought a package to include the digital prints. there was no instructions on how to get them so we bought them thinking we could get reimbersed since it was INCLUDED IN OUR CONTRACT. however they said no they won't refund us.
Desired outcome: I want my refund for digital prints that were already in the contract, my video or a refund for video services
got it
Shady & Scam company
This is a very shady and unethical company. We paid $2300 for photo and video package for our wedding. The company does not release the photos and videos until 6 months after the wedding date because they will try to make you pay an extra $3500 to get the photos and video early. They do not disclose this anywhere on their website. I left a bad review on google about the long 6 months wait and them requesting extra money to download the full raw video.
Fast forward 6 months, we got an email on December 6th saying that the video is ready to download and we have 30 days until it will be archived. After 30 days we will have to pay $750 to unarchive it. When I tried to download them on December 11th 5 days after receiving the email, I got an error saying that the video has been archived and deleted and that I need to pay $750 to download it. I thought fine there must be a mistake. I called Eivan and they told me that they will unarchive it only if I sign a legal document stating that I promise to delete all bad reviews in exchange of unarchiving the video which I paid to get.
This is illegal and ethical. They tried to blackmail me in exchange for a service that I already paid for! There are many reviews on google from people who also got blackmailed by Eivan Photography where they would only release the photos in exchange for a good review.
I called them and told them what they are doing is illegal and if they want me to remove my bad review, I will happily do it in exchange for the full video footage. I'm also still waiting for them to release the video that I paid for.
I screenshot and kept all the documents and have recorded all the phone calls for evidence. They immediately withdrew the legal document they sent me as blackmail as soon as I called them because they know what they are doing is 100% illegal.
Desired outcome: Full Raw Video Package
