er physician billing
I went to the ER at Baptist Health Hospital in Van Buren Ar. on two occasions for flank pain/pylonephritis. The first time was on 6/6/19, and I was admitted for 3 days. The second time was 7/8/19 for the same problem, but was not admitted. I have Federal QualChoice insurance ID # [protected]. I went to Baptist Health for care because it was the hospital covered by my insurance. I was not informed that the ER physicians, and hospitalists on both occasions, were not covered by QualChoice federal and I would be billed out of pocket. I have appealed this decision with my insurance carrier, but they have denied the appeal. I have also spoken with Baptist Health Hospital billing department and they claim no responsibility in this situation and were very unhelpful. I feel this is very unfair practice, as I paid the $400 deductible that I expected, but did not expect to get three bills totaling $3, 689.33 to pay out of pocket. The first bill is for the amount of $1, 152.34 Account number VAN808237283, for services rendered on 7-8-19 by Dr Balasa Sundaram. The second bill is for $1718.99 for services rendered on 6/6/19 by Dr David S. Ureckis. The third bill is for $818.00 from The hospitalist Dr Akkineni and Dr Urrehman. These bills will put an extreme financial burden on me.
Thank you in advance for any consideration you can give me,

billing
Client Bill #OOD096120068
Yesterday I received a bill in the mail for $372.40 for services not covered by Medicare Part B and my seconday insurance, GEHA.
1) Why is the bill over double what Medicare and GEHA cover?
2) Why am I receiving this bill NOW, during Christmas month, for medical care that was done back in June, two weeks shy of six months?
3) Why does my bill show a doctor that is not even registered as a doctor at this hospital?
I do not feel that I should have to pay for a bill that suddenly pops up six months after my hospital visit, for services done by a "doctor" not even listed on the hospital staff, and after having gone through not only one, but two insurance entitites, and showing the cost over double of what is allowed by insurance.
The total cost for the bill provided was $723.00 of which my two insurance companies paid 360.60., for CPT code 99223. I have already paid for other services not covered by my insurance for my visit, for which I was not happy, but at LEAST the bill came within a couple months after my visit.
Receiving a bill that totals double what my two insurance entities allow AND receiving it six months after the fact does not seem to be like a very fair process to me and I request this bill be dropped completely. This type of billing doesn't occur in any other profession (lawyer fees, professional contractors, etc., why are you trying to charge me six months after a visit for what appears to be exorbitant fees and billed against a doctor that doesnt even exist at the hospital?
emergency services
I was charged 864.00 for a doctor to check my heart rate, after I refused any treatment. He still said that he needs to check it.i think this bill is outrageous for what he did.i passed out from drinking officers brought me in hosp.came to when entering from bright lights, refused treatment told them I wanted to go home, live 5 minutes walk.told me to sit and sober up, that's when the doctor came over and I told him same, no treatment but he tried to bait me to check my heartrate, so I let him that was all.this bill is to high for those services. Thank you, hope this can be fixed.

emergency medical care at habersham medical center
On feb 5th 2019 I went to the emergency room at habersham med center, georgia. I had medical coverage also. Capt number is 99283. States emergency evaluation and management, lvl 3. Provider was dr rojas. They put me in a room and that where I sat for a total of 3 hours. During that time I asked when the dr would see me and was not given a clear answer. I was in pain internally. I told them if I didn't get treated soon I would leave as I had school in the morning. Another hour nothing so I left with my parents. They charged 731.00. They deducted 98.17 then sent me a bill for 632.83. They did nothing but be rude and I sat for hours. They do not care i'm a student and I was not treated. I'm very upset as at 22 yrs old I have a 760 credit score and they are going to ruin it. I'm very upset. Thank you; sarah caporale.
er visit
I visited St. Mary's hospital in Waterbury, CT 03/22/2018. I was recovering from brain surgery which I underwent approximately 6 months prior. My blood pressure was high and was experiencing severe headaches. For the three hours I was there, I received no medical attention. I was just placed in a dark room. I requested to be seen by a doctor. That was when Dr. Coddett came in and told me they have discharged patients patients with bp higher than mine. Dr. Coddett was aware of my recent brain aneurysm. I left the hospital without receiving any medical attention. When I arrived home, I had a missed call from the hospital. I called back, however they were not sure who called me and the caller did not leave a voice message. I do not believe I should pay for services not rendered. I did not receive as much as a pain medication or a glass of water at the hospital. Dr. Coddett has billed me $1, 829.00.
$1016.00 bill for a strep swab
I was seen on 9/26/18 at a local CHI "Emergency" facility that appears to be that of an Urgent Care facility. I believe that is the intention of this organization in order to bill for "emergent" care. This is fraud, I went in with a sore throat and flu-like symptoms. There was a throat culture done that was negative, so there was no treatment provided. Only a simple diagnostic throat swab. I did not even see a MD, only a Nurse Practitioner. The description on my bill states "EMERGENCY EVAL AND MANAGEMENT (LVL 3)". This in no way the care I received.
I would like to have this charge reduced to a reasonable amount that is appropriate for the services I received.
Thank you,
Chad McClung
billing for doctor that no one has heard of!
I have a billing from EmCare with a doctor's name that does not even appear on the staff/doctor directory. We saved each doctor's business card that we saw and this name is not anyone that saw me. Email inquiry was supposed to be answered in 3 days, but it's been 3 WEEKS awaiting an answer. But, I did get a repeat bill saying I was overdue!
I have paid each bill I received the day I got it, but will not pay this until someone tells me who it is and what it's for!
ER Service
My mother was brought in by ambulance to Palms of Pasadena in St Petersburg on December 15th after falling out of her wheelchair. Unfortunately the hospital that she always goes to, St. Anthonys was on divert due to volume. She was checked out by the ER physician and after deciding that she was fine, was released to me and I drove her back to her assistant living. This was an evening occurrence.
My mother had Medicare and Empire plan and had never had a charge from St. Anthonys although she had a similar incident happen the month before. We were sent a bill of $1620 and told that Medicare rejected it due to the coding. Once Medicare rejected it, so did Empire Plan. I feel that I am going around in circles trying to get someone to get this taken care of.
unethical
I was saw by a P.A. on 10/21/2015 at Saint Joseph Emory Hospital by Kendall Gallman after I went to the hospital emergency room as I feeling like heart was pounding and I had also had some what I called seizures but also mini strokes. I was really dizzy, nauseated, fatigued, and just not feeling well so I got a driver (Uber) to get there as my vision has been impaired from swelling on brain. They took me back to a room and began asking question and started a few tests but after I saw the assistant that came in I mentioned that I recognized him but was not clear where right then so I had my computer with me and decided to look up his information online at vitals/healthgrades which he did not like so he left room to go take care of "crazies" that really needed help and when I asked to go to bathroom when nurse came in she said it was not needed as they did were sending me home. I was told they saw nothing wrong and I needed to leave right then which confused me so I said asked if I could at least see or take tests with me the nurse said sign and leave. I did not sign as I could not even read the paper she gave to me to sign but I did start to put my clothes back on but before I was finished security came to door (2 males) and stood with it open and said they were to escort me out. I was not offered a wheelchair and when asked to let me finish dressing without door wide open to everyone but that was not a option as I was told to leave right then or else. I was trying to just leave but had no way to go anywhere since the driver had left so they not only wanted me out of room but out of hospital altogether as Security said they were to escort me from the building. I sat down to figure out what to do in lobby and they still said no and after me making many attempts at getting a ride I left. This was unbelievable as I had not caused a scene of any kind so I was left to get home with only a sidewalk and my white cane. I had to walk to I got a ride (not safe) in Atlanta to go home 60 plus miles north of Atlanta, GA. Now I am really not feeling well and my feet are beyond swollen and blistered.
improper billing and
EMCare failed to properly file a medical bill to my insurance company in proper way and have refused to fix the problem. Instead they sent the bill to a collection agency. Henceforth my credit was hit and I had to pay the bill out of my own pocket. I have called several times with no proper action taken on their behalf. They have been sarcastic and...
