EOS CCA Past Due Balance

They're trying to collect a charge of $51.76 for XM Radio 4 months after I cancelled my XM subscription. The person that talked to my wife was very rude. I think his name was Jaeyon. His supervisor was even worse (name as Eric). I am contacting my lawyer to go after these guys.

Poor old granddad is worried to death. He had to take a aspirn as it upset him so.
I am looking on line and see all these complaints. Here is another from us
I guess we will have to pay out of small funds.

I received a letter at my Great-grandmother's address where I lived in high school, twenty six years ago. It states I owe AT&T $745.32. This is physically impossible, as I now reside in the UK. My AT&T account was closed almost a year ago and there is no outstanding balance. What's more, I've never had a phone bill that high in my crabbed 43 years, Be...

I purchased a Lexus in March of 2011 and was questioned about an outstanding balance that was in collection with EOS-CCA. Supposedly, EOS claimed on my Experian credit report that the original charge of $473 was with Sprint PCS in July of 2006; with interest, the amount has now skyrocketed to $778 by March of 2011. Confused by situation because I never had...

EOS CCA Debt for deceased person from 2008

My sister committed suicide 2 years ago. At that time, AT&T sent a number of overpayment checks to her; but since there was no probate of her estate, they were never cashed. She left a virtually bankrupt estate and her husband at the time committed suicide 10 weeks after her death. I contacted AT&T about her death and they said that all of her accounts were settled. Over the last few weeks (now 2011) I have received a number of calls and a reference number claiming that she owes money, refusing to provide me with details and demanding a copy of her death certificate. While I have little problem sending copies of her death certificate out, I am bothered by the fact that these accounts were settled. I believe that EOS is trying to collect on something already put to rest.

EOS CCA collections

I recieved a collections letter from this agency today...claims At&T unpaid account...funny I paid the last bill that AT&T sent me and, I have the cancelled check as proof..AT&T tried to collect twice on the final bill and I did'nt pay them but ONE time for the final..I wrote to AT&T and asked them for written documentation for date of service and they refused to provide it..instead they contacted EOS CCA of Norwell Ma., I have documentation from the new service provider with the dates and AT&T is attempting to collect what they are NOT entitled to. So, now I am willing to provide this collection agency with that info as soon as they provide me with the specific dates that AT&T is claiming UNPAID to them...People you've got to watch these ###s..some of the biggest and most well know companies are the biggest thiefs.. I am also contacting the Federal dept collection agencies to file my complaints..all that are being harassed by these two put a cease and desist phone communications notice in the registered mail to these ###s...when they show up on your phone line document this and report them to the federals.

This is part two of my XM Satellite Radio complaint: I received a letter from EOS CCA on December 27th. The letter was dated December 17th. It stated I owed $26.14 for charges from XM Radio. (see previous complaint). The issue I had with EOS is that they stated they cannot provide any evidence to me, yet on the back of their letter it states the Federal Requirement to send me such data provided I complain within 30 days of the Date of the billing. EOS decided to take 10 days of that right from me (see dates above) and secondly stated they do not provide info it is up to me to get it from XM. I do not believe that is the regualtion and I think the practices of EOS CCA and XM Satellite radio should get investigated by those responsible for protecting consumers. As stated in my complaint on XM the situation was fixed however it is MY credit report and info that will suffer for the errant information and practices of these companies.

Cgs, I have been a professional collector for over 12 years, now retired, and I would like to give you some advice here...read the FDCPA (type that into your address bar) and that will give you all the federal laws ALL collection agencies must follow. There is no
Federal dept collection agencies, as you say, that will resolve this. However, file a complaint with the FTC so it is logged, and then file a complaint with the stats AG office...THEY are the ones that can do something. You are requesting what is called validation of the debt, and that is something that you have the right to request (if done in writing) within 30 days of the initial contact.

One last piece of advice...NEVER pay by credit card, debit card or check. Pay instead by postal money orders or Western Union (if they accept Western Union Quic Collects).

EOS CCA Illegal!

People please do not give your info or money to this company! They were on the news a month or so ago. They hire felons to work for them who are looking at your personal info. One man sued them because a man from the company was harrasing him on the answering machine. He called the victim the n word and something about banging his wife. This place is crazy! If they harass you, call the bbb! They legally can not call you at your place of work, or past 8pm, nor on Sundays where I live. Most of the time they have the wrong person anyways.

EOS CCA Payment

We received XM Satellite Radio when we purchased our new vehicle for a free trial. Then, we renewed a couple times. We decided this last time NOT to renew and next thing we know, we are getting a bill from them for $39.78. We don't owe this as we did NOT renew. Within a few weeks of us not renewing, they turned our name into this collection agency and we've been getting calls ever since. and, believe it or not, they (XM Satellite Radio) are still sending us letters, asking for us to renew. This is ridiculous and needs to stop. I have already turned XM Satellite Radio into the Better Business Bureau and am getting very tired of these collection calls when my credit is otherwise impeccable.

EOS CCA AT&T debt on closed account

Switch Cell Phone service from AT&T to Sprint. Sprint closed the AT&T account. Later we get a call from AT&T saying the account wasn't closed and there was a balance. We resolved the issue. Now EOS CCA says they're attempting to collect a debt. We called AT&T and they said the account it closed and there isn't any balance and they'll take care of it. That's been over a week ago and we're still gettting harassing phone calls from EOS CCA 2-3 times a day at home and at work. It's my wife's phone so I don't know how they got my work number.

I had an AT&T internet account and refuse to do business with them again. They originally opened up my account for the wrong lot number, and, instead of fixing that problem, just opened a SECOND account in the RIGHT lot number, and charged off the wrong one since I refused to pay for service that I wasn't getting. The collections account came to light when I bought my house and discovered the threatening calls and letters I was getting was for the WRONG account, not the one I'd been paying. The credit bureaus (namely Experian) corrected this error for me, quite quickly, but apparently, the collections agency does not care. They suddenly started calling me again. I'm pretty much livid right now and hope this company gets busted. Filing a complaint with the FTC.

EOS CCA Scam

They called me with a claim of a bill they were trying to collect on from Verizon. The Bill was for over $900. I had an account with Verizon years ago and closed it - years ago.

They claim that the bill was for a phone number I know nothing about. They have not sent me any bill, or evidence that they hold any debt or what it might be for, but they did say that the "uncollected funds" has gone on my credit report. I doubt that .

I'll check, but their story keeps changing. They gave me a "reference number" that I tried to use but they do not recognize. So there is no accountability. No evidence of anything other than a scam.

Don't know how they got my number, which I've had since 2014. Suspect online service using SMS confirmation. I have never had any credit cards. I have no major bank accounts and have never taken out any loans. I have no outstanding bills and I do my taxes. This is a scam and I have blocked all of their numbers so far. They will get a cease and desist letter if they continue to call me.

They woke me up this morning. I simply hung up. I have never had a credit card, I have not had a bank account in over 16 years, and I have only worked for myself (using a small local Credit Union for all transactions). I have never borrowed money, I have no debts with any company and I do not owe the government. And I do my taxes, etc, etc, etc. There is no way for EOS to have gotten my contact information except through one of the companies that uses a phone number for confirmation for the use of their services, such as AdobeID, IPSOS iSay, PayPal, etc. In all likelihood, someone with access to the information obtained by legitimate companies is using this information, and it is most likely a low-level employee. I can see that EOS is scaring a lot of people with actual debts or who are unsure. EOS uses illegal tactics and should be reported to the appropriate authorities. They are illegitimate and have awakened the wrong person from their slumber this morning. I am not even on the financial map and yet they are trying to claim all sorts of outrageous nonsense regarding debts that I cannot possibly have. Let this be a warning to all who might be worried. EOS represents no one but their fraudulent selves, and should be taken down like the [censor] that they are :)

I for one disagree with Caitybaby93 as well as most people in this posting. This company does harass people. They called me looking for a very ex boyfriend about a month ago. On the first call I told them he doesn't live here anymore, hasn't in a year and a half . I don't know where he is or how to get in touch with him & do not care. I asked them to remove my number from their file and was assured that it would be... but...since then I have received 5 more calls. Each time I have told them to stop! They insist on cross examining me each and every time. Each and Every time I also tell them to cease and desist. Today I called back and asked for a supervisor and was transferred to someone who told me the the file had been marked that my phone was not to be called back on the 17th. Well today is the 30th. And I was awakened to yet another of their highly trained harassment specialists. I informed this 'Supervisor' that I have a full record of dates and calls and names. If I receive another call now they will be facing a major lawsuit because the next call they receive will be from my attorney and the states Attorney General!

I just received a notice from EOS CCA regarding a debt that I know I have with At&t. My intuition has led me to investigate further. I am positive I owe a different amount. What should i do. I know a software the Galaxy's s 3 had a Lookout Security app to protect our phone from hackers. However, a few weeks ago Lookout Security emailed me telling of a system bleed which consumers personal info may or may not have been leaked. Any suggestions?

thanks marrisa

I worked there for 3 months. It was the worst place ever. I have 20 years collection background and they treat the debtors and employees like crap. They are proud to have a 80% employee turn over each year. Do not pay them anything since the accounts are out of statute. If you pay even $5.00 you restart the statute.

I received a bill from EOS CCA for $92 for AT&T Mobility. We contacted AT&T and found this charge to be an accounting error on their end. We were in the process of buying a house, and didn't have time to wait for them to get the information to EOS CCA. We contacted EOS CCA, sucked it up and paid the bill with the understanding that it would be removed from my credit report. WRONG! Not only was it not removed, it was never updated as full paid. Best part- I paid the account in November of 2012. I still have a copy of the credit card statement with the charge on it. I just received another letter from them dated September 5th of 2013 for the exact same debt.
So, not only did they not follow the terms the of the payment agreement, they never credited my account.
Needless to say, I've already bought my home. I'm sending them a certified letter today. If they don't fix it, I will spend the money to sue for violations of the FDCPA, FCRA and defamation of character.

If you think they are wrong, call Verizon and ask why/if they put you in collections..

That would explain everything.

EOS CCA Dun for XM Radio Service

Received a call from EOS CCA on 3 Feb 2010. Called back at 1740 hrs and spoke to Sandra Dayton. Ms Dayton informed me that I owed XM Radio $48 and change. Rationale for debt was that I failed to renew my service when my one-year subscription had expired and did not cancel the service by contacting XM Radio’s cancellation service by phone and canceling the subscription.

Contacted XM Radio at approximately 1820 hrs and spoke to a Mr Perez about this situation. Mr Perez transferred me to XM’s “Listening Care” department. Once transferred to that department I spoke to Mandy. I explained the situation and she offered to waive the charge. I explained that I didn’t think I owed XM anything, but that if she wanted to waive the charge that was fine by me. I confirmed with her that she had removed the charge from my account.

I to have been called just about everyday for about 2 months about XM Radio from this EOS CCA company trying to collect $96.66 when we had called them in Januaray 2011 and told them that we'd like to cancel out XM radio's which I paid like $9.95 for 2 of them ea. and I was current in December. I got a bill in January stating that I now owe $96.66 for something that I had called and cancelled and now as of today 03-09-2011 they say that I owe because I this because they (XM) didnt' give me a cancellation number. This guy had called me [protected] and the same guy called again today 3-9-2011 he says mama you owe this on 3 radios and I told him like I have been telling them for almost 3 months now that NO I DO NOT I called and cancelled in January.
