Solar panel installation and new roof installation
This has to be one of the worst companies I have deal with. I got my new roof and my new Panels becouse I liked the sales guys John capristrano. He promise and the company underdeliver from start to finish is been over a year and I still haven’t been helps with my gutters that the roof installers distroyd by traying to remove decking from the room. Brought me the incorrect Pannels two times had to wait for the new ones the installation was poorly done it took more then six months just to pass inspection I did two properties next to each other and they were both a problem it took more then a year for me to bearly start using my panel because they were not ready. It was and still is a nightmare with Equisolar everything is sub contracted
And they don’t make them selfs accountable for it. 1 1/2 and my leaks and the gutters have not been fixed they offered me $500 for the damages per house and that is not asseptable they need to fix it just like it was before their mess. I wish this to be resolved my name is francisco my email is [protected]@yahoo.com my phone number is [protected]. Thank you frank
I signed my contract for solar panels with Equisolar Inc
I signed my contract for solar panels with Equisolar Inc. on January 22nd of 2018. The company had promised me that I won't be paying electricity anymore, they also promised me that i would get a check from my light company (Reliant). in total the solar panels are $*** and at the moment I am financing, $181 per month, and on top of that I am still paying my original light bill. None of these promises have been fulfilled and for months iv'e tried to contact Equisolar Inc. to negotiate my contract they rarely answer my calls and when they do answer they tell me they'll call me back but never do. I would just like some decent contact with Equisolar Inc.

My 70 Y/O parents where sold solar panels for their home
My 70 Y/O parents where sold solar panels for their home. Several issues need to be investigated. 1. Who signed the contract. (My mother claims that the signature on the page is not hers) 2. Who has a copy of the contract (the copy my elderly parents have does not look legit. Looks like it was completed by a child.) No date 3. The Solar panels do not work. 4. Multiple calls to have them repaired. On one occasion the technician caused damage to the existing electrical system. 5. *** is no longer taking their call. 7. I am really concerned that *** has taken advantage of my elderly, non English speaking parents. 8. This may need to be looked at for exploitation of the elderly Hispanic population. *** XXX-XXX-XXXX

Part of my contract with purchasing solar panels with Equisolar is that they would come out once a year to clean them for no charge. I was just told they will come out but lost an affiliation with a former partner thus will not honor that portion of my contract but charge for cleaning. My contract specifically says "Once a year free cleaning".
Salesman came to the home. *** called me at work regarding the purchase being presented for solor panels stating his electric bill would never be more than $90 per month. I told him no and then spoke with the salesman and told him no that *** had dementia and was not responsible for his actions. The salesman talked him in to signing the contract after our conversation. They have put a lien on *** home and will not help in this matter. I shared the letters from physician stating the dementia to no avail. I see this as *** that even after I said no the salesman continued his sales pitch and got *** to sign a contract.

Solar panels installed but the system was not connected
Solar panels installed but the system was not connected. The company refused to send a tech to get it turned on and explain how the system works. Called several times to get system turned on. The company refuses to send someone to turn on and explain how it works. The finance company has already sent an email the are ready to charge us for the solar. Spoke to *** and advised that an email was sent on july 1st and doesn't have a response. He also mention that they have no way of contacting anyone in Houston about the issue or to resolve it. Refused for me to speak to a supervisor because he didnt believe this was important enough. Tried calling salesman to see if he could help and no response via phone or text. Now I'm stuck with nine working panels and the company doesnt respond or take care of issues.

I purchase a solar system about 18 months ago
I purchase a solar system about 18 months ago. They still don't have it working right and now they want me to pay to get it finished. The system was designed incorrectly from the start. They only provided an 11.4 KW inverter for 16 kw total panels. Then that was not installed correctly, so only about 8 kw was being produced. The took many months to get the installation corrected, but then I discovered that the invertor was not correct for the system. After a few more months, the installed an additional invertor and rewired some of the panels, but they did not include the circuit that reports the power produced. We are now showing only 8 kw production, instead of 16 kw. I was called today and told that I would have to pay for an installer to complete the job. I either want them to get it right, or take back the whole thing.

Equisolar offer us on July 23: energy production of 181% (with 10 solar panels), a check for $*** after the system was installed, new roof, tax credit of $***, costumer service, 25 years warranty. The solar system and roof was installed the first week of August The contract that my husband and I signed was less than 10 pages, Equisolar modified the contract after we had reviewed it and signed it, they added 30+ pages and policies that they never informed us, Equisolar forged my signature, the signature of the modified contract is not mine. Equisolar contractors broke my gate. Now I have to pay the debt of $*** and I have to continue paying my electricity bill because the panels are not producing the energy that my contract says. I signed a contract with Equisolr Inc
I signed a contract with Equisolr Inc. on 7/6 for solar panel materials and installation. The installation was started and the panels were installed but connection was delayed for several months. After many calls, emails, and constantly harassing the company they finished. The original contract stated that I would have annual maintenance and service of the system. After the first year, they told me to do it myself and they would pay me. Now the inverter is not working and the panels are not generating any energy. I am not seeing any energy cost savings, I am still paying the two loans that I was told needed and I was just told that *** was *** out by another company and my *** and service agreement are null and void. I still owe over $*** on a system that is not working and a company who is going to charge me to come out and troubleshoot a system that has been working less than five years. Installation from the beginning
Installation from the beginning. They did not complete on time and now refuse to hold up maintenance agreement. I have contacted the business via email, telephone and even through internet sites and they refuse to even contact me. The mailbox for leaving a voice message is always full and the emails that I have sent are never responded to. I signed an agreement that stated that I would have the panels cleaned and evaluated for proper function every six months. I have not seen or heard from the company in over two years! I don't even know if they are functioning. I had issues from the beginning. They started the project and left the project half completed until l refused final payment. Solar panels are something I was so excited about. I waited 10 years to have them installed because I wanted to make the right choice. I cannot believe that I made this huge mistake. I'm still paying an electric bill, on top of the loan that I took out to have these installed and now they are sitting on my roof with over two years of dust accumulating. The worst part is the fact that no one in the company will make contact with me.

It hasn't even been a year since they were installed and they dont want to come. We feel that we donthave to pay for something they did wrong. All we are asking is for your help to resolve this issue since they don't want to answer us any more. They should have the calls recorded and the messages ive sent them. Please help if you have any more information please contact me. This system is worth too much for it not to work properly. Thank you in advanced for your help.

Misrepresensation of product and services
Misrepresensation of product and services. No customer service and no one to handle the situation. Never excuted contract In October Mr. *** came to my home to make an Equisolar Solar Panel presentation. In short Mr. explained: 1. We would pay *** and average of $10-$20 per month and to Equisolar $80 per month. 2. During black out times, we would not lose power 3. Once the loan money is paid, we would only owe the $10-$20 per month to *** Energy During the first 18 months his claims were semi true. We were paying *** energy an average of $40 per month, however in the last 4 months that bill has escalated to an average of $80-$90 per month. During black out times we still lose power contrary to his claim. We believed the panels may be defective, we asked many times to have a technician come to the house to figure out what could be happening, however no one in the company has come to handle the issue, in addition we also asked for them to come and pick up the equipment as, under the current conditions, we are not able to keep up with the bills. They refused and had said this is now ours and they will not pick them up. We are 2 retirees and only wanted to lower our expenses as much as possible. We feel as if we were taken advantage of and nobody from this company is being accountable for their product. In addition, the contract we received happened after the installation was completed and we did not sign it. In the after the fact contract the hand written figures are different than what was verbally explained to us.

On July 14, I bought solar panels from Big Star Builders Inc for an undisclosed amount
On July 14, I bought solar panels from Big Star Builders Inc for an undisclosed amount. In November, they installed them on my roof. During installation, the contractor damaged the meter socket. The damage and an outdated electrical panel prevented the solar panels from working. I've repeatedly called for repairs, facing long holds or disconnections. I need to speak with a supervisor, but they're always unavailable. SRP's construction department emailed details of the necessary repairs on 12/6 at 3:12 pm. There was a response the next day. SRP shut off power on 12/8 for repairs, but the solar company's contractor didn't complete them. In a 3-way call with SRP's John Wallis, I was hung up on when explaining the incomplete work. Without electricity since yesterday, my wife and I, both seniors with health issues, are in distress. Our food is spoiling, creating a health hazard. We urgently need assistance to resolve this.

Equisolar's solar panels are not functioning as they promised, and now we're paying the panel's loan plus our usual electric bill
Equisolar's solar panels are not functioning as they promised, and now we're paying the panel's loan plus our usual electric bill. *** (***) came to my house to offer a solar panel system from Equisolar, saying that with the electricity the panels generated, we'd only have to pay off the solar panel's installation. At the time, I paid more than $200 for electricity and the monthly payment for the panels was going to be a fixed $195.73 with a 2.99% interest rate. I agreed to the plan and we started getting the paperwork sorted. Everything was signed via internet through my email. However, the contract they showed me in person was different from the one they sent me to sign via email, though they assured me it was the same contract. The contract I signed was from LoanPal, who set up the loan for the solar panels. I was to make a payment every 4th of each month. They offered me 6 free months, where they'd refund me my payment, but I've only received one of such payments. After signing everything, they came to install the solar panels very quickly, about three days later. We received the panels from CED Greentech (San Antonio Greentech). Here are the solar panel's info: MFR codes are ***, catalog numbers RAIL *** and RAIL ***. The packing list these were on is dated 6/1. My first electricity bill after installing the panels arrived at 404.01 (5/29 to 6/29), which was higher than usual, but of importance was the deduction of $5.58 of credit from the panels for the first month. From then on, I've basically been paying my usual electricity bill plus the solar panel's loan. But that first month I called Equisolar because I was not satisfied. I told them to either fix my issue or to come and remove the panels. They just told me to talk to the electricity company (Reliant), and the electricity company told me to talk to the panel company, who then told me to talk to Centerpoint, and nothing was ever done. As of now, I've disallowed LoanPal from taking money from my bank account because I can't be paying two bills for electricity. I've switched from Reliant to Volt, and my most recent electric bill (October) has $14.52 credited from the solar panels, and my total bill was 130.60. I feel that this whole situation is fraud, and I know several more people who have had the same thing happen to them with these same companies (Equisolar and LoanPal). I don't even know which company is really behind the fraud, but I was told by ***, the initial sales rep, that these two companies are partners. Last time I called regarding this situation was to Equisolar (***) October 12 at 9:19 AM. The person I spoke to gave me the manager's extension (***), and that said manager would call me back, but he never did.

Equisolar has not follow the guidelines for installation, damaged my roof beyond repair, and has lied to avoid taking responsibility for the damages On March 7, we were sold a solar paneling system by Equisolar. While they were trying to obtain our business, they were efficient, cordial, and appeared to be a serious business. A contract was signed with them and my parents went through the process of obtaining a loan to finance the solar system. At the time of signing the contract, we requested for the installation not to start until Covid 19 was over in order to keep our little ones and ourselves safe. Equisolar assured us that they will respect our request, but shortly after signing the contract, people from Equisolar started showing up at our house to begin the installation process. When we questioned why they did not do as agreed, Equisolar stated that the funds were approved by the bank and they needed to install the system as soon as possible. Furthermore, they told us that if the bank was to question us, we should say that the system was up and running, however, we did not provide the bank with any the false information suggested. During the installation process, Equisolar, damaged our roof beyond repair and we started to have several leaks in our home, a problem we never had before. When we reported the damages, they sent someone who did improper repairs and threw grout to fill in the holes but our roof kept on leaking. We immediately requested for the installation to stop until they had properly addressed the roof issue with a certified roofer. Equisolar attempted to convince us that they needed to finish the installation first, but we refused and stated that we would not allow it until the roof issues were addressed. Equisolar then assured us that they will stop the installation, have the roof inspected by a roofer, and will take responsibility for the damages before continuing installation. Equisolar, sent us the information of a made-up company telling us that they were roofers that would address the roof issue. We researched the company and found out the same was non-existent, realizing this was only for them to get access to the property to finish the installation and therefore be compensated by the bank. We brought this up to Equisolar's attention and they were obligated to cancel the inspection when we asked for the company's license and liability insurance. It was not until then that Equisolar finally agreed to stop the installation and started looking for a certified roofer. To the date we have allowed three roofing companies chosen by Equisolar to inspect the roof and after weeks of trying to collaborate with their investigation, Equisolar is not taking full responsibility for the damages they caused. After the second roof inspection, Equisolar stated that per the roofer's report, the roof damages were a matter of age and the roof could not handle the system. We then questioned their negligence on not doing the proper pre-inspection prior to installation. We pointed out that if the roof was damaged prior to installation, said condition should have been releveled during the pre-installation structural inspection needed for this type of work and which apparently, they did not perform. We also questioned that if the roof could not support the system, how could they install 29 panels weighting 50 lbs each putting at risk our family and property. We proceeded to request a copy of said report only to find out that the same did not exist; at this point Equisolar stated they were referring to a verbal report. After all the aforementioned questions, Equisolar stated they needed a third company to inspect the roof and assured us that this time they will make sure to obtain a report. Equisolar is now stating that none of the three roofers they have sent has provided them with a written report, however, all three roofers stated during inspection that the damages are mechanical and caused during the installation process. Two of the roofers have told us that the roof need replacement but Equisolar has been giving us the run around after every roofing inspection.
