Disappointing Experience with eRenterPlan
Having read through various reviews from customers, it's disheartening to see the recurring theme of dissatisfaction with eRenterPlan. One customer shared their frustrating ordeal of not receiving a refund check even after multiple calls and months of waiting. This lack of timely response and fulfillment of promises reflects poorly on the company's customer service. Another customer expressed feeling robbed after facing multiple issues with claims denial and lack of support during a distressing situation. It's evident that transparency and empathy were lacking in their interactions. These reviews highlight a pattern of poor communication, delayed resolutions, and unmet expectations. Considering the negative experiences shared by customers, it's advisable to explore other options and seek a more reliable and customer-centric insurance provider for your peace of mind.
Affordable and Helpful: My Positive Experience with eRenterPlan Renters Insurance
I gotta say, I'm pretty darn pleased with eRenterPlan. They've been super helpful whenever I had any questions, and they didn't make me feel dumb for asking. Plus, their prices are real easy on the wallet, if you know what I mean. And get this - when I moved out, I actually got some cash back from them to help cover the damages. How cool is that? Overall, I'd definitely recommend eRenterPlan to anyone looking for a solid renters insurance option.
eRenterPlan: A Total Rip Off with No Integrity - Don't Get Renters Insurance Through Them
I moved outta my apartment last year in September. I called eRenterPlan in July to cancel, but they told me to wait. I bought a home and completely forgot to call them. When I finally did, the rep had the audacity to tell me I might not get my money back. This company is a total rip off and has no integrity. I wouldn't recommend getting renters insurance through them. If I don't get my money back, I'm gonna file a complaint with the BBB.

Erenterplan.com Review: Terrible Customer Service and Refund Delays
So, I decided to give erenterplan.com a try and signed up for a year, paying the full amount upfront. However, things changed and I ended up buying a house. I called them on May 15th to cancel my policy and was told that they would mail me a refund check for the remaining balance.
I waited patiently for my refund check to arrive, but after 2.5 months and 4 calls to their customer service, I still haven't received it. I mean, seriously, how hard is it to cut a check and send it in the mail? I gave them my money upfront, and I expect the same timely payment back.
This experience has been ridiculous, and I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. If you're looking for renters insurance, shop around and choose a more reputable company. Trust me, you don't want to deal with the headache and frustration that comes with erenterplan.com.
ErnterPlan: Scam Alert! Stole Money & Refused Refund
ErnterPlan is a company that I had a bad experience with. They took money from my bank account without my permission and refused to give it back. They said that they canceled the transaction, but my bank told me that it was still pending. I feel like they stole from me and then canceled my policy when I asked for a refund. I tried to talk to a supervisor, but I was put on hold for 15 minutes and then gave up. I think that this company is a scam, but I won't give up until I get my money back.
eRenterPlan Review: Scam Company That Keeps Charging Even After Cancellation
I had a really bad experience with eRenterPlan (erenterplan.com). I cancelled my policy back in 2017, but they kept charging me for years after that. I got confirmation emails that my policy was cancelled, but they just ignored them and kept taking my money. When I finally called them out on it, they only offered me a $30 refund, which is ridiculous considering they took $700 from me. I asked to speak to a manager, but they told me that the manager wasn't available and would call me back in a few hours. It's been four days and I still haven't heard from anyone.
I think this company is a scam that works with property management companies to force you to get their insurance. When I asked the guy I spoke to about the terms of my policy, he told me that I agreed to keep paying even if I cancelled. I asked him to show me where it said that in the terms, but he couldn't find it. He just kept insisting that it was there. When I asked him to read it to me, he transferred me to his "manager" who never called me back.
I would definitely not recommend getting renters insurance from eRenterPlan. They are not trustworthy and they will just take your money without giving you anything in return. It's really frustrating to deal with a company like this, especially when you're already dealing with the stress of moving and finding a new place to live. Save yourself the trouble and find a different insurance provider.
Beware of eRenterPlan: Poor Communication and Auto-Pay Issues
So, I moved into my new apartment and had to get renter's insurance through eRenterPlan, because that's what the property management required. I thought it was all good until my apartment flooded and became unlivable after three months. I had to move out what I could and throw away what I couldn't. I contacted eRenterPlan to file a claim, but they just forwarded me to the insurance provider, American National, who they got the policy from. I didn't know that there was no communication between eRenterPlan and the insurance company during the claim process. I had to tell the insurer that I moved out of the apartment, but eRenterPlan kept charging me.
Listen up, folks! If you don't contact eRenterPlan directly to cancel your policy, they will keep charging you through auto-pay. They won't even know that you moved out! Their policy is to backdate the cancellation no more than 90 days from the date of official cancellation. I had to move out and get renter's insurance through Lemonade, and now I'm only paying 25% of what eRenterPlan charged me for the same coverage.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend eRenterPlan. They don't communicate with the insurance company during the claim process, and they keep charging you even if you moved out. It's better to go with a different company that won't give you these kinds of headaches.
eRenterPlan Review: Frustrating Website and Poor Customer Service
So, I was browsing the internet for a good deal on renters insurance and stumbled upon eRenterPlan. The website boasted "Low Cost Renters Insurance," which caught my attention. I entered my email and zip code, but was immediately stopped in my tracks. The website would not let me proceed without selecting a property. Unfortunately, my property was not listed. I was extremely frustrated that the website did not mention that they only provide quotes for a very small list of properties.
Feeling defeated, I decided to call the toll-free number provided on the website. A man answered the phone and I explained my situation. He simply responded with a nonchalant "OK." I was taken aback by his lack of concern and asked if he could help me. He then informed me that I had to select a property to obtain a quote. I was annoyed and told him that my property was not listed. He confirmed that they only provide quotes for the properties listed on their website. I expressed my frustration with the website's lack of transparency and he simply responded with another "OK" before hanging up.
I was left feeling disappointed and angry. It's clear that eRenterPlan needs to improve their customer service and website transparency if they want to survive in the competitive world of insurance.
eRenterPlan Review: Terrible Customer Service and Untrustworthy Practices
I gotta say, I've been dealing with this insurance company, eRenterPlan, for a while now and it's been a real battle. We got their insurance before we moved from Washington State to Florida in April, but when the movers got to our new place, our entire furniture was gone. Stolen. We still don't know where it is, even though they assigned an investigator. And let me tell you, getting any support from this company is like pulling teeth. They'll do anything to avoid paying out what they promised.
Now they're telling us their legal team is reviewing the "language" of our policy. Basically, they're trying to find a way to weasel out of settling with us. If you're a responsible adult with a family and you're looking for insurance during a move, do your research. This is not a company you can trust, at least not in my experience.
We've been going back and forth with them since August and just got a notice that it could take another 6-12 months to resolve. Meanwhile, we're renting a townhome in South Florida and the complex required us to use eRenterPlan. Our regular insurance carrier doesn't cover this area, so we had no choice.
The people we've been dealing with, Betsy Boggs and her manager Tiffany Doersam, are not customer-focused or proactive. I've had to fight tooth and nail just to get any action from them. And now Betsy doesn't even want to work on our case anymore.
If you're considering eRenterPlan, I'd say think twice. They're not responsive, their customer service is terrible, and they don't seem to care about helping you. You won't get any peace of mind during your coverage, and they're definitely not prompt with responses or updates. I've even requested conference calls to stay in the loop, but no luck.
I'm not sure about their ethics either. In my experience, they've been evasive and non-assisting. They've even tried to force us to make changes to our police report without any evidence to support those changes.
This is just my opinion and experience, but I hope it helps you make an informed decision about insuring yourself, your family, and your personal possessions. We've lost over $480k worth of household content that we've accumulated over 15 years. It's been a nightmare, and I doubt this review will change anything, but I had to try.

Renters insurance
I’ve moved out of my California apartment back in May 2023. My husband called and canceled the insurance right away. I got a notification three months later we were still being charged monthly. I called and canceled again and they blamed us for not canceling. I made sure it said canceled, but it wouldn’t let me remove the bank information. We’re still being charged in October 2023. I shouldn’t have to call and cancel my account multiple times. I read there reviews and it seems like they do this a lot. Thinking this might be a good lawsuit, and I will be looking into the legalities of it, if this happens again. 35 dollars does add up and companies shouldn’t be able to charge you after you cancel.
Desired outcome: A refund of all the money taken after May 2023 till now.
Renters Insurance
I purchased a policy for an apartment a rented and had a theft. I submitted a claim that was covered under the policy but the again at first didn't respond and then came up with a convoluted explanation about how my property theft wasn't actually covered. I send her the policy and showed exactly which clause covered the property and then she went dark and the claim was denied.

Renters insurance policy
I was referred to them from my leasing office. Went online purchased the one year policy and paid for 6 months. Then I was told that same day by my leasing office the policy needed to be in my Dad's name since he was on the lease and I'm the tenant. Called the company back that same day and was told as soon as the new policy generates a policy number they will cancel and refund the first payment. After 2 weeks and no refund I called again, and was given the sane story no policy number has generated. Now 6 calls later, 3 emails, a dispute with my bank filed and 2 policy's received in the mail from them and no refund, no response, they transfer you around until you disconnect. I wish I had seen all these reviews I will be notifying the leasing office to not use them and I will make sure to fight until they are no longer in business. The internet reviews speak for themselves, they are criminals and I can not believe they are still around.
Desired outcome: Refund my $80 and close my account in 4 months.
water damage claim
Worst renters insurance company to use! Run do not use them ! On 1/25/19, I received that water was coming out of my townhouse, so I filed a claim because my printers and all other electronic equipment was under my computer desk on the floor. From the beginning of interacting with Katrina Cartwright it was hell. She was rude and really speaking to me like I was lying when maintenance had to get the water out of my apartment. So she had an adjuster come out to take photos and to see if my items are working. Some items came on but we didn't test to see if they were working, and honestly I don't have any intention of using the items as they were sitting in water. So I submit the inventory form. I get a call about 15 mins later saying I won't be able to receive pay for my items without taking them to get a repair estimate. I'm confused, who has the time or energy to pack up everything in their house and take it around town to have it inspected, let alone pay any fees for it. Needless to say, she only paid out for 2 items. I have been with this company for close to a year and never had to file a claim. I do not recommend this company to anybody.
customer service rep and policy cancellation
Most horrifying customer service I ever received!
the rep kept talking over me but not helping!
I got two policy mix up due to the online registration confusion, and I have been a loyal customer with erenterplan since 2012, today I'm calling to cancel a policy since I moved, I have this rep refuse to tell me his name and ID number and blame me "yelling" at him while I was just talking and I emphasize the fact i was just talking and I'm not happy the way he kept putting words into my month. He is yelling "nonononono like 1000 times" He is really the worse customer service I ever received and as a 4 years loyal member, I feel very disappointed and will stop using this company from now on and inform family and friends not to as well.. If you dont care about your customer you are losing business.
home insurance fraud, unethical behavior
We had home insurance policy from E-Renter since 2009. Since 2009 we moved to 4 New Addresses ( we rent apartments) and as per E-Renter company rules we always were calling them to update the new Home Address on the Insurance Policy. Also we were getting all the confirmation from E-Renter for the new insured address. We called this month for the cancellation ( Nov 9th) of policy and we got to know that Policy was insuring our old address we use to live in 2009. We asked for the reason why this happened and Customer Sales representative was unable to answer first, later he start talking rude and said words like "back-off". He was abusive and company can verify if they maintain call records. After that they made an excuse that we didn't contact them when we moved. Later Customer Sales representative said that E-Renter department did some data migration in Feb, 2015 and because of that address were reverted back to old address. This is really annoying they didn't check what address they are insuring since Feb, 2015. Luckily nothing happened in the house otherwise E-Renter would have said house is not insured and I would have been under big debt. I live with my wife and an infant in the house and it could have been a big problem for me if something big would have happen to the house like fire or any natural disaster. This is a total negligence from E-Renter. I don't know what is the correct resolution for situation but I would like to submit this complaint so E-Renter should realize that Life, House, money is important so do a better job if you are collection money from people to insure there houses.
