I ordered furniture from Farmers in May. It was delivered about 2 weeks later. I called the store and made my 1st payment early, paying $35 over amount due. A few days later, I noticed instead of withdrawing $250 + fee, the clerk ran my card for $150 + fee. I called her to let her know amd offered to pay the $100 at that time. She refused to waive the service fee, so I told her I'd mail a check. I was out of town w work the next week and was not really checking voicemails on my personal phone from unknown numbers due to time constraints. I was sick w strep throat the next week. Yesterday, my first day back, I received a call in my office from the saleswoman, Kim. I told her I was sorry and would call her when I left the office to rectify, as I was on a recorded line and had multiple customers in the office. She called twice more and then started calling again from her personal cell. By the 3rd call, I had lost my mind on her and told her in NO uncertain terms was she to call either my work or cell number again. I called her store as soon as I left work (7/8/24) but they had already closed. She called my office AGAIN today, this time threatening me that her "boss man was otw there to collect payment, so I better hurry up and pay her before he got there". I assured her that would be the perfect thing for him to do. Clearly, an EXCELLENT decision on all of their part to show up at my place of business over $71 (total amount past due) that was their mistake. She continued to bully and harass until I called her bluff, then back peddled to say he was ABOUT to leave. I demanded to speak to Allen... he introduced himself as a new manager as if I cared. I went through the entire conversation w him and told him about the incessant voicemails from the store phone as well as her cell. He also insisted that I pay then, despite my telling them both that I had multiple customers in the office and I was on a recordedline, so I would not be giving my debit card information. He said I could pay after work. I told him I would not be paying over the phone and would mail a check when I got good and ready. I asked him if their lights were in danger of being shut off? Honestly, are they insane? It's literally been 3 weeks! What kind of loan shark company is this? I am disgusted and in shock at the level of harassment, bullying and disrespectful, UNPROFESSIONAL behavior I have endured by these jerks! I have filed a cease and desist, complaints w the FTC, Consumer Affairs and now, a formal complaint w the corporate office as well. These people have obviously never worked w a professional before, nor have they heard of the fair practices for debt collectors. I told Allen he is welcome to come by and load up this furniture IMMEDIATELY if he is so hard up. Unreal. I will sit on cement blocks before I buy another thing from Farmers in Newberry! Wow. Wow!
