On July 28th, I canceled my order after putting it on hold for three months after they charged me the total membership fee
On July 28th, I canceled my order after putting it on hold for three months after they charged me the total membership fee. When they canceled, they said the would refund my order minus the bottle I selected (which I was fine with). On August 13, I emailed their customer service saying I hadn't received a tracking number for the bottle I ordered - The customer service person said my order was canceled and "I am not sure of the reason behind the cancellations." That same day I replied saying I would like to either be refunded the full amount, or have the products that were promised. It is now Aug 17 and it has been radio silence from Flaviar's customer service. I have now had to dispute the charge with my credit card company, providing documentation of every communication with Flaviar.
I have been trying to cancel my 1 year subscription to Flaviar.com
I have been trying to cancel my 1 year subscription to Flaviar.com. The link on their site to cancel your membership takes you to the page where you can search for product to purchase. I emailed their customer service and firmly asked to have my account cancelled and to confirm once complete. I received a response asking me if I really wanted to cancel, and that they would give another free taste box to stay. I immediately emailed back telling them "No" as I am now completely Sober and need this account closed asap. I have yet to hear back from that email. My account is still open. and that was 21 days ago. I have since sent 5 follow up emails and have not heard a peep back. Flaviar - Please provide me with a phone number that I can contact to have this sorted out, and a reasoning as to why you make it so difficult to cancel a membership.
Flaviar is a scam. Please do not gift this service to a loved one. I received a year-long Flaviar membership as a gift from family. I didn't use the service much, and only made around two purchases during the year that was gifted to me. Months after my year-long gift membership had ended, Flaviar started charging ME for the membership. Looking at the website's terms and conditions, they require the member to agree to an auto-renewal. This is not made very clear to users, especially someone who was gifted their membership. I never consciously agreed to have my own debit card used to pay for the membership, but Flaviar had my card info because I had dared to buy something through them. A year after my gift membership ended, I finally realized that Flaviar was continuing to charge me. I have unknowingly paid Flaviar $95 on four separate occasions. Their refund policy does not entitle me to a refund, so I don't have high hopes of seeing any of my money back. To be fair, Flaviar did email me that my membership would be renewed, but I ignored Flaviar emails thinking they were spam. I didn't expect they would charge me to continue a gifted membership.
Absolutely not worth the hassle. Repeat offerings while having to chase deliveries if you're not going to be home. Going to cancel my subscription. Get friendly with your favorite liquor store. They can order items for you.
At first glance, I had a negative opinion. Once my wife gave me the password and I could log in and do it myself, it was easy. So far, I don't see an automatic reminder quarterly which would be very helpful.
Its OK. The liquors are not particularly hard to find and the prices are not great. It is somewhat convenient if you have a place to ship it to where it can be signed for. My main problem with this company is that it is tricky to cancel membership. Even when you go in to cancel your subscription and stop the auto renewal, there are several additional steps that are easy to miss AFTER you hit the first cancel button. Beware.
By far the worst purchase ever!
By far the worst purchase ever! I have been in hospitality and the wine industry collectively for almost 15 years. What they charge is ridiculous and the product you receive is sub par below average. I am a drinker and consider myself as well as an indulgent drinker of fine wine and fine spirits. I purchased the one year package in the belief Id receive a bottle every quarter. With no further a due, you receive 175ml of three to four samples to get you to buy a full bottle. Quality is horrible, you are better off sticking to what you know and buying that bottle. Im surprised this company is lasting, but it wont be long. They put majority of their money into marketing with no regard to the actual product. I tried to cancel half way in and they tried to charge me for 75% of the term. Dont waste your time, just go out and enjoy what you enjoy.
Flaviar is a scam. I paid $350 for a one-year membership as a gift on 12/4. I have no store credits - so cannot receive merchandise. I received another charge on my credit card for $95 on 3/4. This charge WAS NOT authorized, and the account still has no credits for merchandise.
Do not buy this as a gift. I purchased for my dad. I made sure to check the list of states that are exempt from shipping and Massachusetts was not on that list. The gift arrived, my dad signed up only to find that he cannot actually receive his gift. They offered me a $10 credit which absolutely does nothing for me or my dad who now has an expensive gift that he can't even enjoy. Stupid.
Flaviar is disappointing for sure, from the overpriced quarterly liquor, to the 'vault', where you can't find anything under $1K. I expressed dissatisfaction after two quarters, but they refused to refund me the remainder of the year, so we are stuck with it.
I purchased 3 very costly ($200 ea) bottles of Scotch
I purchased 3 very costly ($200 ea) bottles of Scotch...one was shipped in about a week, and then I was strung along for 2+ weeks, eventually given a nonfunctional tracking number, and promised these 2 missing items were not cancellable due to being in transit. After another week and a dozen emails asking to cancel, tracking number suddenly became invalid, proving no items ever made it to shipper as suspected all along. Took time again to get notice of refund which is still currently pending. May still have to file ccard dispute...Not worth frustration... Company is not organized or efficient at all. I have had a similar experience with other liquor delivery companies (avoid Reserve, too). Had hoped this would be better but they all promise items beyond their control and then farm orders to random, unreliable liquor stores. I think the goal is to take your cash, and after that, little concern over fulfillment.

Quick and responsive as long as you don't actually have a problem. Third party delivery can be hard to track / not updated, plus Flaviar breaks each invoice out into multiple distributors shipping, often, but does not update tracking numbers on the Flaviar site, so partial orders trickle in for days. For basic questions and simple things they get back quickly, but for complaints on unfulfilled orders or to cancel orders the replies are slow to nonexistent. They have a lot of growing pains that affect the execution of the core offering, though the curation, rare items, discount (sometimes), social, etc., features are well done.
They lost my item and when trying to contact them about it they only have an email address no phone number so it takes ridiculously long time to communicate. It's been almost 2 months with nothing to show. I would never recommend anyone to ever buy from them, there are other online retailers that offer competitive prices and are more reliable. I gave them 1 star since it's not possible to go in to the negatives.
This has been one of the most painful shopping experiences in my life. Not only did I never received the product ordered, it's been impossible to date to obtain a refund. Basically, I've been scammed out of $54. The only answer I get is please be patient and blaming it on one of their vendors.
This company is a complete scam
This company is a complete scam. They bait you into a yearly membership for a high fee and offer free shipping on all sorts of limited distribution bottles that I could not get at my local liquor store. The problem is that they don't actually have any of the liquor they are advertising and you don't know it until its been added to your cart and you go to check out. You will then get a notification that the bottle is unavailable. There is no way to sort what bottles are currently unavailable. I browsed and tried to purchase at least 25 different bottles of the course of two months and NONE were available. I eventually gave up and stopped even using their site. The only bottles that I could successfully check out with are bottles that ARE available at my local liquor store and of course Flaviar's prices on these are much higher than what I would even pay locally. Whoever thought this scam up should give themselves a pat on the back. It's brilliant.

I received a gift membership for Flaviar in March; Which I then created an account on April 2nd, submitted an order for a tasting box AND a full bottle for the first package. My orders were confirmed and I received tracking numbers (1 for tasting box-on April 3rd and 1 for full bottle-April 9th). I got the tasting box with no problems. I watched the tracking number for the full bottle and noticed the package has been sitting at the shipment facility (contracted with ***). Due to COVID-19 and possible unpredictable issues, I waited a full week before contacting Flaviar to check on the shipment. From April 17th to today (May 5th), Flaviar's customer service has been AWFUL. They only replied with copy/paste standard responses (no specific answers), until last week (a month later) when someone finally informed me that the shipment was deemed lost and they will be sending me another shipment. Now it's another week later, I still have not gotten a new shipping/tracking number. If the problem is ***, it's still on Flaviar. If the problem is customer service, it's still on Flaviar. Whatever the issue is, Flaviar is NOT doing their job of fixing it. On top of that, I've read past complaints from other customers with the SAME PROBLEM, which points out the issue is NOT related to COVID-19. It is clear to me that Flaviar is not addressing this recurring issue. I am absolutely fed up.
Flaviar is falsely advertising products they don't actually have in stock, then rather than notifying me they just shipped out lesser quality
Flaviar is falsely advertising products they don't actually have in stock, then rather than notifying me they just shipped out lesser quality products from the same distiller and then claim there is a mix-up. This mix up happened to 4 of my peers living in different locations who ordered the same spirit. After contacting them about this I still have no resolve 1 week later. I asked for a return label and refund...they are looking into it. And today both products are still listed on the website. Last time I buy anything from these guys. Buyer beware! Worst customer service and they don't actually have any of their own inventory. They are just selling and processing orders through a network of liquor stores so Flaviar is just a third party charging money, and trying to remove themselves from the equation after you order. I ordered the following: *** I sent customer service a picture as requested and emails but Im still waiting for a resolution. Not sure what takes so long and why this is still on the website after all the folks who got the wrong order have reached out. The bottom line is that Flaviar is presenting itself as a premium service and they charge premium prices but that's a false front for a lackluster experience and lack of concern for their customers. Good luck getting the actual product you order and best of luck getting a resolution or your money back at all or anytime soon.

Based on my experience and reading the reviews on the ComplaintsBoard.com's website, I have come to the conclusion that this business is either a straight-up scam or extremely poorly operated. I wish I would have taken the time to read the reviews before making a purchase from Flaviar. I suspect that this company either: (a) doesn't have good (communications + relationships) with their vendors, so when problems occur, they don't resolve easily, or (b) they are knowingly ripping-off consumers, with a business model of short-changing people and making it very difficult to get a refund. My experience: I ordered 4 bottles of tequila. Only 1 out of the 4 arrived. When I contacted customer service, it became a total run-around. They would send an email and say "did you check with your neighbors?" Or they would say that they have tracked a package that was received, which was probably the single bottle that I received. Then they said that they would check with the vendor to get precise tracking details, but they never responded after that, even when I inquired about the statues. This was over a week ago. My original purchase was on 12/12. It is now 1/9, and I have no visibility as to whether I will receive the remaining 3 bottles or whether I will get a refund to the $150 that I have seemingly wasted. This company should be investigated by authorities to find out what is going on. Receiving liquor is supposed to require a signature in California, and I never signed anything, not even for the single bottle that I received. So I think there should be no hesitation in tracking the package(s) and issuing a refund or sending me exactly what I ordered. I hope that someone will investigate. I am considering my $150 as a loss. It stinks that there are clearly many others with the same experience as mine. This company definitely seems to be predatory.

I purchased a membership to Flaviar for my boyfriend almost 2 yrs ago and for the most part, I have been very happy with the company and the service. A few orders took longer than usual to receive, but those were placed near holidays and a longer wait was expected. However, I recently placed an order with them on April 1 for 5 bottles. Within a couple days, my order had a tracking number and was waiting to go to ***. Another week or so later, the tracking number was gone. When I emailed them, I received an automated response within a couple of hours and an actual response 2 or 3 days later. After waiting on my order for 2 months (and MANY emails) they ended up canceling my order and refunding my money (which I actually said I didn't want them to do, I would wait for the order if they could guarantee it would get to me. They did refund the full amount) and adding a $10 credit to my account. The representatives were all very polite, but not one of them really gave me an answer. The first vendor had an issue, but they were unsure what it was, and moved my order to another vendor. The second vendor evidently had trouble as well as the same thing happened. My order had another tracking number, then it didn't. The response to my next email was along the lines of, "As my colleague said, the previous vendor was overwhelmed" when I had been told nothing of the kind. Continuing on, every response felt automated, not one actually gave me any information and after 2 months of frustration and attempting to be polite, I had my money back but no answers (again, I placed my order April 1, my money was refunded around June 10. By the way, I no longer have the option to email them pop up on my screen if I have an issue. I have to send through previous emails or go to flaviar support.com) I sent yet another email asking if the problem had been with a particular item as I still want to place an order but have no desire to go through that ridiculousness again. Again, I get no real answer. I was told the problem was with the vendor, not the items but they sent my order to two different vendors supposedly so both vendors had the same problem? So tonight, June 23, I try to place another order. I would have been charged for the shipping (which is supposed free once a month with my membership), but since the system says every item I tried to order can't be sent to Ohio, including something I had ordered before, I guess it's moot. Again, up until this I had only good experiences with Flaviar. Now, due to the poor communication, condescending customer service, automatic *** responses and no way to contact them directly, I'm irritated as ***. This is no way to provide customer service when a mistake has been made.

I ordered 4 bottles of Henry McKenna 10 whiskey at a price of about $55.00 per bottle
I ordered 4 bottles of Henry McKenna 10 whiskey at a price of about $55.00 per bottle. Shortly after my purchase, Flaviar raised their price on the website to $84, and the following day over $100 per bottle. They then told me for about 3 weeks that they were waiting on my bottle, which is odd, because I ordered 4. After 3 weeks of follow up, they said they could not fill my order, however they did still show the bottle available at the highly inflated price of over $100. I agreed to purchase at $55 / bottle, and had confirmation through receipt. They could have filed the order and kept a customer, instead they decided to lie and say they couldn't access it.
I made an online purchase on Flaviar's website on 10/24. Their website claims orders placed will arrive within *** business days. After 10 business days passed I opened up a complaint on their website on 11/5. *** had the nerve to tell me the order was delivered when in fact it was not and Flaviar never provided a valid tracking link for the order. it has now been over 2 weeks since my claim was opened with them and they still have not issued a refund and have been the complete opposite of helpful. I just want my money back at this point and it's been such a struggle to get them to accept responsibility and issue my refund.
On August 26, I purchased online a bottle of Scotch from Flaviar. This purchase was for a gift to a business associate. I paid $112.33 and emailed a cancellation for what Flaviar called a membership. Even though I received the product much later than expected, I didn't complain. I then noticed on November 23, my card was charged $95.00. I have no idea if this is fraud or what. My card's bank indicates that the card was presented in person and that this is a reoccurring charge. Since I haven't been to *** in 20 years, and there is no need for a reoccurring charge, I must assume this is fraud. Since they haven't responded to my email and there are no legitimate telephone numbers available to reach this business, I am forced to contact the ComplaintsBoard.com to request assistance in this matter.

We gifted a yearly subscription from Flavier to a friend to be sent to *** but he never received any items from the subscription for the entire year. It was a quarterly subscription that my friend was to receive a Tasting Box with different bourbons. He did everything required by the subscription, which was to accept the subscription and pick the items he wanted, but never received any products. We have reached out to them via email multiple times. There is no phone number to call so I cannot talk to anyone live. We paid in full for the product but he has not received anything as of date. i actually tried to ask for a refund in which they said it was past the refund date, however no product has ever been sent.

My wife ordered the Flaviar membership for me for XMAS. They never delivered anything. They claim to have sent a secret code that starts the membership so I sent them our receipt of payment ($190.00). Then they claimed their system was down and could not provide the code. After a month of email exchanges with their support, I asked for a refund. They have since gone silent.
I placed an order with Flaviar that was shipped to the wrong address and never received despite there being a picture and signature. Neither of which are mine. I have attached my email correspondence and am just looking for a return or my order to be reshaped. I have already canceled my subscription give the poor customer service but they have not responded and do not have a phone number to contact only email on their website. Your help would be greatly appreciated.
My husband and I received a holiday promotional e-mail advertising 20% off of "ALL Flaviar Memberships
My husband and I received a holiday promotional e-mail advertising 20% off of "ALL Flaviar Memberships." The e-mail even stated that there was "no fine print with this deal. Its 20% off all memberships. Period." When I went to purchase a membership to gift someone for the holidays, the 20% discount was not reflected in my cart so I reached out to Flaviar *** The customer service representative got back to me stating that the discount did not apply to gift memberships, only personal memberships. I let the customer service representative know that the promotional e-mail we received did not make this distinction between personal and gift memberships and asked Flaviar to honor the promoted discount. The customer service representative said they could not, but provided me with a 10% off discount code.

I ordered a bottle of expensive whisky from Flaviar on November , from Flaviar and have not received it. I've emailed the company several times and asked them to refund my money which they have not yet done. They cannot explain why the shipment never came to my house and chose to keep my money instead of doing the right thing and refunding my money. They claim they are looking into it but its been several months and I simply want my money back.
I placed an order with Caskers on 12//2020 for several items totaling $241.00. This included shipping, handling & taxes. On January *, I received an email saying my shipment had been delayed and it would ship soon. On January , another email comes in saying that my order still hadn't shipped so they're going to give me a credit for the shipping and handling, which was $33.99. I did receive the credit for this. I emailed them on January *** to let them know that I still don't have my order. Caskers responded on January *** saying that they showed that my order had been delivered. I immediately responded to tell them that this is not correct. I still don't have it. They responded that, after further investigation, it was returned to the shipper because of damage and they would expedite my order. I reached out to them again on February *...still no order received. I was contacted on January saying they had reassigned my order to another vendor and sent me a FedEx tracking number. I'm thinking, "Finally! I'm going to get my order". Today is February *** and still no movement on this tracking order. I emailed the company early this morning asking for a full refund and have not received a reply.

I got a membership to buy a bottle for a birthday present in January and emailed early February to cancel the membership
I got a membership to buy a bottle for a birthday present in January and emailed early February to cancel the membership. The reply asked me to take some steps on the website which I did. Suddenly I notice a charge from Flaviar. They actually charged me for 2 more quarters of membership after my cancellation. They refunded one of the quarters but the quarter that has not been refunded (July ), I need them to either refund me or send me a bottle to fulfill the membership obligation. Ive asked for their phone number as well as provided mine asking for a call several times, that request is ignored repeatedly. No phone number can be found for them online. I have even told them which bottle to send me to fulfill July *** a email but have not received a reply back.

Flaviar sold me a package of deliveries, which includes two separate orders each quarter. Since I selected my order and gotten confirmation on it they have cancelled the order due to supply chain and on re-order of a different item, have failed to ship the item in a timely manor. Second order was placed on Oct *** and Item hasn't shipped as of writing on Nov ***. Their policy is that orders should take between 7-14 days from order to delivery.

Without an email (as it states in their Terms and Conditions) we were charged for another year of membership
Without an email (as it states in their Terms and Conditions) we were charged for another year of membership. I contacted them and promptly had the membership cancelled, and my money refunded. HOWEVER...the issue is that my husband (this was a Christmas gift for him in December ) still had credits to get products that he had not ordered yet. When they cancelled my membership, those credits disappeared as well. I contacted them and they basically brushed me off, telling me that it was because I cancelled the membership. I explained to them via email that yes, I cancelled the membership for 2020...but I had fully paid for the membership for 2019, and I deserved to get what I had already paid for. I asked to have a member of their management or SOMEone that could help me contact me directly. That was last month, and I have heard nothing from them.

I ordered online in August and got a shipping confirmation with a tracking number.
I ordered online in August and received a shipping confirmation via email the same month with a tracking number. The last update was also in August. They estimated a 15-18 business day delivery. By September, the package hadn't arrived and the tracking hadn't updated, so I contacted the company. They requested patience and promised an update. Reaching out again in September, I received no new information. Despite repeated inquiries, the company has not resolved the issue, and I've expressed my frustration at the delay without a solution.
I purchased an annual membership for my husband in April which he activated in May
I purchased an annual membership for my husband in April which he activated in May. He has attempted to receive products from Flaviar in accordance with the membership I purchased (tasting boxes and full size bottles) but is unable to receive any products from the website. The website shows no evidence of membership or any evidence that we have given them $300 for future products. When we reach out to customer service (which is only accessible via email) the response is automated and unhelpful. The instructions on how to navigate the website are not helpful when the gift card has not been applied. The only thing on his account is a $5 gift card when I spent $300! I have asked for phone calls from customer service, or for someone to actually check his account without response. At this point I would like a refund and to cease communication with this impossible company and it's terrible customer service.

My wife and son ordered something special for me as a gift last year for my birthday
My wife and son ordered something special for me as a gift last year for my birthday. My son filled out the form and inadvertently used an old email address for my wife. Well, we got the gift he ordered and charged for it. Unbeknownst to any of us, that automatically signed him/my wife up for a $95/quarter program. Flaviar kept charging and charging never calling or reaching out, only emailing a now-defunct, unusable email. When I discovered the charges I demanded a refund. They refuse, citing their policy. Note, I haven't received anything from their "Membership". Three $95 charges, and when they periodically respond to the email they tell me to log into my account. This is not possible. And I cannot reset the password as the email address is dead. I keep telling them, they won't respond. I have zero means to remedy this. BUYER BEWARE, these guys are darn near fraudulent with their agreement, lack of responses, lack of any customer service.

I pre-ordered and paid over $400 for two advent calendars in August
I pre-ordered and paid over $400 for two advent calendars in August . Flaviar stated, in writing, that all advent calendars would ship out in early November , beginning on November *. After not receiving any shipping notice, I reached out on November *** to inquire the status. I was told my order would ship within 5 days. Another 5 days passed, and I still did not receive a shipping notice. I wrote in again and the customer service team "could not get an ETA from the vendor". I went back and forth with customer service over email, and on Facebook when the CS team refused to respond, for over a week. When they still couldn't identify an ETA on November *** (and the calendars were needed by Dec. *), they offered a full refund and no calendar. I still wanted the calendars (gifts for my new husband and father), but asked for a partial refund on the product since they would not deliver in time for their intended usage (not a personal decision on intended usage - advent calendars are designed to be used starting on Dec. *). While they were initially going to provide a full refund, now it is "company policy" to not provide partial refunds. They have offered store credit, but given my experience with this company, I have NO INTENTION of ever ordering through them again and therefore this compensation is useless to me.

This service was amazing when I first found it
This service was amazing when I first found it. The staff was responsive and helpful in all selections. In September I received an email letting me know my options for renewing my membership to the club. I chose the most expensive option as it had many benefits that I was personally interested in. I received my credit, and my initial tasting box, but was saving my credits for a bottle that was not available yet. Fast forward to November, I was attempting to order when I noticed that shipping to my state (Maryland) was no longer available. This was not communicated to myself and a friend who was also a member of the club. When I first contacted the company on November *** they assured me it was a glitch in the computer system and I would be able to order shortly. Later I was told that it was in fact a change in my State laws, but no one could provide the specific law that was the catalyst for ending shipping service to my state. I informed them at this time that I would like the money I spent on my membership refunded to my account as I would no longer be able to use it. At this point all communication with the company ceased. It was only after a week of posting on all of their social media posts about the lack of communication and the loss of service that they responded to my request for a refund. At this time they have initiated a refund of $143 US dollars that has not appeared on my card yet. This is not the full amount of 210 that I spent on the membership, which is ridiculous that they kept that much of it.

I made an order and they charged my credit card. I saw reviews afterwards that indicates they have terrible shipping and cases where customers never received their orders. They provided me with a tracking number but this number indicates it never shipped. I have emailed several times but they have stopped communicating with me after i suggested i would contact the ComplaintsBoard.com if they cant resolve my order.
Easy to sign up for annual membership and they send first shipment promptly, but then its next to impossible to get next shipments that you paid for. Nowhere on their website can you reorder. They dont contact you telling you its time for next shipment either. It seems they purposely want you to forget or give up. Its a terrible operation and close to a scam imho.I finally got a second shipment only with painful communication to their support team. Now third shipment is overdue and its frustration time again. They dont refund either. A rip-off joint, stay away.
Terrible shipping issues. Ive had order's take over 4 weeks to get. I am currently waiting for my last paid order , over 3 weeks now. I have been a member for two years , I did not renew this year . Its a on going issue to get orders in a timely fashion. I have slot of emails of them misplacing orders or forgetting them .
